Tacos El Gordo

The food was fantastic felt very authentic. I went there on Cinco de Mayo and did not feel like I had to wait too long for my food either. It's a food truck next to another food truck with a market across the street. Decent park bench style seating with some tent to protect you from the sun They use a buzzer system to notify you when the food is ready. One negative is that they do not accept cash. Cash app and Venmo are accepted though so that's really cool. Overall, really good paying for your buck

I love steak tacos, and so far these are the best steak tacos I've had in Detroit. I know this doesn't mean a lot coming from a white girl but hear me out. They always need to be traditional - cilantro, onion, and lime. This hits the mark and then some - steak was delicious, maybe a little dry but nothing a little lime juice couldn't make up for. The refried beans were gross and lacked flavor, the rice was okay. But the tacos... tacos were great. We've only ordered through DoorDash so can't speak to anything else.

Once again! Gosh this place is just always a 10 out of 10!! I always go during summer and this was my first time in winter, they give you a timer so you can sit in you're warm car and goes off when food is ready! The taco pizza is 21 dollars and it is so good and so large it is a massive steal!! Please try them out I promise you will not regret it! They are clean and such a cute looking place. Also the service is so fast and well put together!

One question why this food so good? I have been door dashing the Birria Pizza by accident actually and now I'm hooked. They have the food that you can eat every day. Thank You

You know a spot is worth stopping at if there are people waiting outside to order and that's exactly what we did. We decided to jump outside of the box and order the Birria pizza and it was absolutely delicious. We are so happy that we decided to stop on a whim and try something new. We've been back a few times for the Birria pizza and it is consistently wonderful. The meat is always tender and has the slightest bit of kick. Pizza biarra was something to behold. Flavorful and enough for two. Tacos will have you coming back every week. Must try for yourself.

Came here on a weekday after biking with my boyfriend. The boyfriend was craving tripas (tripe) and it definitely satisfied his craving. Also ordered al pastor and carnitas tacos, along with birria pizza, ceviche, and rice. They had no horchata but still everything hit the spot. They accept cash only and theres one picnic table under a tent to eat. Enjoyed our meal outside and will definitely be back. Be careful of the huge crater pothole on the road when turning into the tqco truck parking spaces.

Best Tacos in Southwest Detroit, Service may or could be long but it's amazing delicious food. The service is nice and it is up to my standards I definitely will always come here. The Ambiance is nice I think it's a place to spend money on good food my favorite would probably be a torta, Also my dad is friends with the owner which makes it better, they still treat me like a normal customer with good service but it just feels better to know the owner too. I hope you guys do come here I do recommend it a lot, GoodBye

Tortillas was dry; it's over expensive; the tacos were cold. I would not pay for this. Service and respect, nice. Not the food i ordered

Best tacos in Detroit by far. Also the only great torta ahogada in town. Everything is fantastic, especially the cabeza. Cash only.
