"Tacos El Gordo, a stand in front of Azteca Market off Highway 99, draws long lines for its no-nonsense tacos and jaw-dropping salsa bar. You’ll find at least four salsas on offer, from killer bright orange habanero to creamy avocado to nutty salsa macha, plus grilled onions, chiles, a pot of steaming pinto beans, and pickled and fresh veggies galore. Use them to dress your al pastor tacos or your quesabirria tacos served with consome, order a beer or Jarritos or a fresh-made juice, and take a seat on the sunny patio." - Katherine Chew Hamilton
Great Mexican food. Fast. Top notch salsa bar. Tons of outdoor seating. We ordered two burritos and an order of fried plantains and it was more than enough for two hungry adults.

One of our favorite quick bites places in Mac. Always cooked to order. Been many times, great every time. Love the carna asda burrito. For a secret off menu item ask for the dbl burrito. But you better be really hungry cause a normal burrito is huge. And make sure to load up on the salsa and toppings bar. Included in the price.

I'm only here in McMinnville visiting for two months and this has been a great spot to help me not miss México so much. The food is just as good as it is back home!

Preface my low rating by saying this place used to be my favorite taco and burrito joint in town and I was a regular. A bit too regular. They keep messing up my order and the last 3 or 4 times that I've gone, I've gotten back home to realize that at least one item is so different from what I've ordered that it's unedible. What makes it worse is that their prices have gone up dramatically over the last couple of years. So when something is unedible, it feels like a massive waste of money.
Tonight was bad enough that it pushed me to write a review. My wife loves this place too so she was excited when I brought some home from work. I had said after the last negative experience that I was done, but I hoped that it might recapture some of that old magic. We both ended up throwing away our completely messed up orders and making something else to eat. They've lost a customer at this point which is a real bummer.

I ordered a carnitas burrito with no cream, and once i got to where i was heading i opened my burrito and it had cream on it, so i had to drive 1 hour back to get it remake, but they still managed to do it wrong, they handed me a asada burrito no cream. But i had ordered a carnitas no cream.

Amazing authentic Mexican food! My friend and I shared the gigantic lengua burrito! We had them cut it in half and it was still bigger then a regular size burrito. It was so good! Best lengua in town! This place made me feel like I was in Mexico!

The outside atmosphere was wonderful. They are open late. The Nacho Fries were bomb.. not pictured, there was nothing left. Lettuce tacos and street tacos were not what I would have expected for the authenticity of the place. Loved being able to add from the topping/sauce bar but really wish some of that came on the food....kinda bland. The birria tacos were full of flavor, glad I asked for the sauce it was delicious.

Was my go-to Mexican restaurant up until the other evening when the rude cashier told me I couldn’t order what I had been ordering for the last two years. She said it was a breakfast item, which isn’t true since I have been ordering it every time. She wouldn’t even ask a coworker. She just dismissed me. Very disappointed. Side note, it’s overpriced for sure, but used to be willing to pay more. Not anymore.
