Tacos El Guapo

Horrible! They changed location..their quality also changed! $9 for a burritos with little meat & to make it worse the “meat” they gave was fat gooey chunks! We use to love this truck but it must have new owner &/or cooks. It wasn’t just my burrito it was my husbands as well. Usually I don’t leave bad reviews but this is just ridiculous. Once we picked out the fat it was pretty much a bean and rice burrito for $9!

I can only speak to the tacos and the horchata. Both are above average, and even with ordering a drink I spend less on lunch here than I would anywhere else. My order was just under $10, which is about the going rate these days if you don't want to starve to death, and they did not charge a fee to use a credit card. Kudos to them for that since so few merchants choose to be as generous. The tacos are made with buttery soft yet durable tortillas that hold up well during consumption. Both the asada and pastor are flavorful and well-cooked, and the salsa is delicious with plentiful green onion and good heat.* They also include a nice touch with each order with some pickled vegetables (carrots, radish, jalapeño). The horchata has just the right amount of cinnamon and is super creamy. Service is always outstanding. A possibly yet undiscovered (?)** gem in a Chevron parking lot. *Today, they were out of their regular salsa so I gave them the go ahead to put their "spicy" salsa directly on my tacos. One bite of my taco and I'm seriously regretting that choice. (32 oz of water later...) It's so bad I think I'm going to go back and ask if I can possibly trade them in for tacos with normal salsa. I should have known; when I gave the okay to put the spicy salsa directly on the tacos, the lady looked surprised. That's never a good sign. **It's never been too busy when I've gone here. And even when there are a couple people ahead of me in line, orders come up fast.

I LOVE THIS TRUCK! the girls are so sweet and the orange salsa is a hit if you like spicy salsa.

Best Tacos that beat out most of the other trucks in Lodi for flavor and portion size. Give this taco truck a try y'all! 💥👊💥

We used Tacos el Guapo for a corporate event and they were amazing! Carmen was a pleasure to work with and they arrived early. The food was delicious and all of our guests LOVED it. Absolutely would recommend the food and catering services!!

They used to be located off West Harney Lane. Unfortunately the owners of that property decided to put a restaurant in and up their rent. I work with a team of 20 guys and this was the best Mexican food and prices any of us have seen. To say we went searching for them when they moved is an understatement. Their new location is 1831 South Stockton Street in Lodi. The food is phenomenal and the prices are incredible too.

Tacos are delicious and I will definitely come back!! Lady taking our order was kind and helpful. Answered any questions we had.

Phone ordered my carne asada fries said it'll be 20 mins took more like 30 mins. I used to love this place for there asada fries because I love that they use my favorite el Mexicano nacho cheese with shredded cheese unfortunately my fries were super soggy wish they would make the fries more crispy. Flavor of the asada was still delicious. The address they have for the truck is wrong. Thank goodness I called to see if they were located at the right place. They are located at ham lane and kettleman in the chevron parking lot. I do enjoy that they accept cards. Price for 2 carne asada fries was $21.60

The asada fries are my favorite along with their al pastor. They have some of the best salsa I've ever tasted. Also, cashier is very nice definitely my favorite taco truck in Lodi.

Service sucks they always add stuff on your food that you ask without , food is okayyy

Been wanting to give this truck a try for a while and finally got the chance. Ordered a mix of pastor and Asada tacos. Overall I found them bland, but the Asada was a decent 3/5. The pastor is the reason for my 1 star rating. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it was obvious to me that this meat was at least a couple days old. It was stale and completely dried out. I don't like wasting food- I'll usually eat whatever I buy, but this is the first time I actually threw away TACOS! That's a big deal to me. With so many other options for tacos in town- why take a chance on a truck that serves you meat that wasn't even cooked the same day. No thanks.

The only good thing here is cabeza not gonna lie their camera is firee but everything else is dry also they never put sour cream on my food when I ask for it , I figured once or twice accidents happen but EVERY time I order and pay extra for it to not have it when I get home Is ridiculous not going back anymore - la picosita is better

This place was soooo yummy! I had the Al pastor tacos. So sad you can't get it in a good delivery service but would highly recommend!

Was telling my wife how good this place was I was excited to have her try it, so I go back tonight and they took a call in order ahead of my order, and made their entire order before starting mine, so even though I'm the only person waiting it took 30 minutes to get my 2 item order. Then I get my order and it's all wrong they put sour cream and cheese in my regular burrito which I hate, all the food is extremely cold and it's they didn't add any sauce I asked for. I'm hoping it's a one time thing but we'll see. This is the truck located at the chevron on Kettleman and Ham.

The best tacos de tripa!!! I couldn't eat them of how hot they were, which makes them the perfect taco.... I don't live in the area but I will drive there any time. Los mejores tacos... No cambien please

Delicious tacos close to home! The meat is delicious and the service is fast. I love the chicken and the carne asada.

Burrito wasn't very flavorful and had a lot of grease drip off, plus was $7. Also teeny tiny. I got the regular burrito with asada. About the size of my fist. Not very big. Won't be back.

Hungry family after picking cherries down the road, needed some tacos! Looked up some places on Yelp and was not disappointed, would have taken a photo of the food but before I knew it....gone ;) The ladies who helped and made the food were wonderful and kind! Thanks ladies!! Have a great day!!

Still top favorite taco truck in Lodi. They have moved and are now in the parking lot of pep boys! They take phone orders and credit cards as well.

I attended a friends babies first birthday party. And the taco stand at the party was from tacos el guapo. There's was a salad and salsa bar with horchata and tacos, al pastor, carne asada and chicken. All of them were flawless and nicely flavored, freshly made.

I absolutely love this taco truck! My husband and I came here for the first time yesterday, after taking a long brake from food trucks. Our last usual taco truck changed their recipe, and basically went downhill from there. We were unsure where to go, and I had seen good reviews from this truck. We didn't want anything way too spicy, and most of the other trucks we've been to have too much spicy red sauce. This one has the perfect amount of spice, it's more medium. The tortas are amazing, and if you're vegetarian you can ask for anything with veggies instead of meat. Their beans are whole beans, so you know you can trust it to not have lard (obviou Everything is super amazing, and we had to come back for more after only a day! This is definitely our new favorite spot :) Update: I don't know why this location is being read as closed. They moved to a new location, on Stockton St, closer to Kettleman.

They should change the name to Tacos El Gross'O, the lady in the truck was checking her phone and making my burrito at the same time that's so disgusting, then the other lady who took my money bagged up my limes and jalapeno, come on covid or not people want clean hands touching there food items. Also on top of that they charged .56 cents tax on a seven dollar burrito paid with cash that's robbery. They will never see a penny of mine again.

Haven't enjoyed a Food Truck this much in a LONG TIME. Im glad i found one close by that i enjoy and will be going back! There burritos were delish! They had no grease at the bottom of my tortilla drenched!! I would recommend this!

Done. I always order a lengua burrito supreme. Often enough that she almost repeated my order back to me. Tonight instead of extra lettuce I received none and also no cheese or sour cream. So rice, onions and lengua. It was me and one other customer so they aren't busy. Fkn over the surprises like this. Hope you get kicked out of that spot too.

They were good at the beginning My favorite were cabeza . But don't know what happened They put just a little meat on them recently . It happened last 3 times I went . No bueno .

Best taco truck in Lodi. Very friendly and accept credit cards. I get the pastor super burrito; delicious and large. Very accommodating with extra pickled peppers and limes. We'll continue to visit Tacos el Guapo.

Popular taco truck for a reason. Call your order in so you don't have to wait so long. All the standard street taco/burrito/torta items, and standard meats. Their chicken is pretty bomb. I love the supreme Nacho's, without the cheese sauce. The marinated carrots are enough reason to go there...

Just ordered a Torta and it was the worst I've ever had. It was so dry and hard I couldn't eat it. I asked for no Cilantro or hot sauce and I got meat lettuce and tomato. Most places in town use mayo and cheese. These guys just hard dry bread and meat. The one bit I could take the meat was good but that was it... truck was clean and staff was nice but too dry...

The tacos were fresh, the meat had a lot of flavor, and just overall delicious tacos! They also had great customer service. Definitely coming back!

Hands down the best mexican food in Lodi. I could eat here every day and not get tired of the food. The carne asada burrito is the size of a small child and simply delicious. The tacos are also large and the chicken is tasty. The lady taking orders is very nice and I am recommending this orange food truck to anyone in the area. If you don't live near hear, move as soon as you can. This place is just that good.

I've been going here almost a year. I can say for me. THE BEST TRUCK in Lodi. I'm always saying I want one thing, then get there and its nachos or burritos. Or a combination of tacos. Customer service is ALWAYS welcoming and cheerful. They started out on Hutchins when I first started going. They're now consistently on Stockton st. I've tried what has been called the best. And this is it to me over all others hands down. keep up the good work.

The sauce is freaking awesome! I would totally recommend the burritos and Carne Asada fríes (fríes and Carne Asada topped with nacho cheese, with more shredded cheese and salsa) to anyone! Really good flavors here. Only wish they were on DoorDash!

They close at 9 yet we pulled up at 8 and they sped away like we weren't there. As much as we wanted to try this place we won't go back ever. It's pretty sad , an hour early. We went back again and same thing they were closing up early. Seems they have good food but we won't ever know since they close when they want and speed off before even acknowledging you walking up.

There taco's are very delicious and there burritos are amazing also there horchata is awesome, next time I'm in town I will definitely stop here again

Huge burritos. More than i can eat......but sooo good. Love the chicken with avocado. Really good flavor on the meat. There sauce is spicy and yummy. On the corner of harney and Hutchins.

Tacos were very good. Pastor was delicious and not too greasy. The hot sauce made for the cabeza was so good. It's located where the limes are. It's spicy so don't put too much, but it's very delicious. Give it a try.

Went and got a Chicken burrito. In less than 3 minutes they gave me my burrito full with rice and beans sprinkled with hard, dry chicken pieces....no bueno

I sort of only liked the asada tacos. The rest was not good. And the girl that took our order was very unprofessional.
