Very good service, excellent portions, ok prices. The best tacos in town al vapor.

The tacos de cabeza here are the best in the West. I usually stop by once a week after work and all the damn traffic, it's my reward for the madness. They also have freshly sliced cucumbers, lemon wedges, sliced radishes, jalapenos and a green and red salsa all at your disposal. What more could you ask for. The tacos are all vapor style and have so much damn flavor in the finely chopped meats and optional chopped onion and cilantro. The mini tortillas are delicious and super soft and chewy, just my style. The locations in South Gate and BG have the same consistent quality, which is always the sign of a finely run taco establishment. This place is a rare find in a sea of mediocre taco places.

The best tacos I’ve had in a long time. The service was great I felt so welcomed. I ordered 6 tacos and a can of soda. I highly recommend it.

Best tacos al Vapor I try Cachete y Cabeza y Asada . They also have Labio tacos too, but I did not try them . Personally Cachete y Cabeza are Super good Asada are good but I would buy those for my kids only. Now the Salsa are good but if they were to be more spicy the Tacos would be 1,000 percent super,super good. That is just my opinion.

Clean dining room area, also clean around the order area as well as clean bathroom. The closing staff on Wednesday Jan 31 was great and offered a Friendly welcome. Attentive to the guests order, before me. Also very polite and attentive to me as I placed my order. Service was very prompt. The food was hot and enjoyable. Will definitely return and recommend.

Have always driven by, but never thought to give it a try...until today. They only sell tacos, which is not a bad thing. They only have 4 choices of meat, which is why it got dinged a star. The staff was friendly, courteous and quick. Not too bad of a spot.

Don't be ordinary and get the Carne Asada tacos. They are mediocre at best. HOWEVER... The "Labio" and "Cachete" tacos are excellente! Now if you're bilingue, you've probably already picked up on the fact that that means Lip and Cheek. Don't be scared though. The quality of meat and flavors are amazing. Btw - the yellow and red salsa bottles look like ketchup and mustard, but it's really like this: Red = muy picoso = very hot salsa Yellow = medio = not so hot salsa I slathered the yellow with a little dab of red, which still stings. The come on 2 tiny fresh tortillas so it absorbs some of the impact. At $1.75 a taco made to ordet you can't beat it. Anyway, do it and enjoy.

These are some of the best Tacos de Cabeza that me and my family have ever tried, so much flavor, and the habanero salsa gives these tacos just the right amount of kick highly recommend

I go to BellGardens at least once a month, and I always stop on my way in, the flavor is amazing, always looking forward to this tacos.

The meat here is super tender, and the sauces are flavorful. Only comment I have is the side of cucumber could have a little lime or salt. But other than that , good tacos!

Whoever isn't giving this place 5 stars is tripping. First off I honestly had low expectations, my co worker would always invite me but I was always hesitant. Then I took him up on his offer. And I regret, that I didn't try it sooner. This restaurant specializes in tacos Al vapor (steamed) letting the meat cook to the most tender you've ever had. I tried 2 asada tacos and 2 labio (lip) and wow they were one of the best I've ever had. Transported me back to Mexico. Seasoned perfectly, not greasy and the tortillas were amazing. The restaurant is very basic with no decor with about 8 tables so there's room to eat. Customer service is ok but nothing bad at all. The flan was freaking bomb. I tried the queso flan and the texture was a bit thicker than a mousse but had all the flavor of a flan with a hint of cheesecake and the liquid caramel at the bottom meshed perfectly. Try it for yourself, surprised there's no hype around this restaurant

Tried this place out during my lunch break . The layout of the restaurant is a little funky but the food is good . While i don't remember exactly what i ordered it was good . The tacos are not street sized tacos so you get your moneys worth and it's packed with the meat of your choice. The meat was steaming so i had to let it cool down. There is two salsa options a green one and a habanero one . Both were good ! I believe there is only 5 meat options . I believe i tried 3 of them , cabeza lengua and asada . I would recommend !

This place is amazing. The Tacos are soooooo delicious, and the hot sauces are amazing. It's a small seating area but cozy and everyone is there for one thing TACOOOOOSSS!!!!! Super fast service so you don't have to wait too long before enjoying these tasty tacos.

We come here often. Tacos are so good. My mouth is watering just remembering my trip to have tacos.

The establishment only sells tacos and five different meats to choose from. Fast in and out ordering you get your food really fast they have condiments self served and plenty of drinks to choose from. My favorite tacos really soft, they also only offer two sauces mild and spicy sauce. Is a must try tacos are AL VAPOR really good. Price is around $2.25 per taco.

I LOVE their tacos! My favorite are de asada!!! I unfortunately am very picky about the meat I eat and how they cook it! I Love Tacos El Negro because their meat doesn't have nerves and fat fillers!!! A lot of places keep all the nerves and fat and chop it up all together! Their meat is great tasting, great meat and soooooo good!! My favorite spot! Me encantan los tacos de asada de aquí! La carne no está llena de nervios y gordura como otras partes! Siempre es deliciosa, buena carne y la gente que trabaja ahí es súper amable!!!

Taco's are not good! Smaller than not sure what the hype is about. Customer suck's! And the restaurant looks dirty. Never again!

Tacos and tortillas are delicious as well as their meat quality is good. They only have carne asada and cabeza.

Solid steamed tacos. Not sure if this is true, but since the meat is steamed, the fat falls off the meat and is slightly healthier.

Delicious tacos al vapor. I normally order the cabeza, but this last time I ordered labio and I think they were my favorite, they have such a good flavor. I also tried their asada for the first time and they were also delicious! They have two types of salsas, one green and one orange (habanero), and again, both delicious!

Delicious soft meat is my new fave type tacos. So happy I found another one in Downey! I have one by work and one by home! Yeay!

Today I tried tacos el Negro for the first time. IMO people hype this place until and it is not up to par. Again this is my opinion. I walked in and there were a few people. I was able to order. However, it was 2 p.m and for some reason they only had 4 meats. I believe asada, cabeza, labio, and, cachete. I bring up the time because Im not sure if I arrived too late and other meats ran out or if maybe they just don't always carry various meats. The price seemed fine. I'm use to tacos being $2. Once I got my plate I ordered asada and cabeza. The tortillas I believe are steamed. The taco was hot so that was good. I honestly wasn't a fan of the meat being chopped up so fine, in bits almost. Both tacos were both a 5/10 nothing special about them. I wanna bring up that the seating kind of sucks. Tables and chairs are crammed up making it hard to sit on both sides. There was no menu just a list of the meats available. I'm not sure but I think that they only serve tacos. They had a little area where they had sauces, cucumbers etc. It was quite sucky that the line was blocking the little sauce bar. The customer service was good the cashier took our order and our tacos were out promptly. Again, this was my first time, In my opinion the tacos were okay.

Driving down the street and saw the eatery decided to give it a go. Parking lot is private so there's plenty of space. Wasn't too sure what to expect but this is an order the counter type of spot. Literally only serves tacos which was both refreshing and surprising. They have 3 types of meat (I'm not sure if it's only these 3 everyday or they switch off). Honestly only remember the cachete...it was AMAZING. Habernero sauce to top it off sent my mouth off running for a beverage (they have classic sodas as well if your into that along with tamarinds, horchata...the works). Sauce was fantastic and the regular green sauce was flavorful. Side bar for all your jalapeño, cilantro and cucumber needs. Great place, very clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

Tacos are awesome i just they they had more variety of salsas for people who unfortunately cant eat spicy. I love the side veggie bar. The service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Cabeza!!! Came in on Saturday afternoon, it was packed, so we were able to order pretty quickly. There are no menus, or anything telling you what they offer. I had to ask the cashier and all they serve is Asada, Cachete, Cabeza and Lavios. Thought that was unique, I went with the cabeza tacos. The tacos were bomb!!! They go light on the salt so remember to add a little salt, the salsa's were all great. I will definitely be coming back for more.

All of my life I have been consuming all kind of tacos since I can remember. Having Mexican heritage in my blood and knowing how tacos are a poor man meal. My wife and I went this taco shop called Tacos El Negro in the city of Bell Garden. It's a nice restaurant with flat screen tv around perfect to watch soccer or Mexico League and the Premium League who's a fan of Soccer. The restaurant serve only tacos and it have a limited small menu they only three meats to choice but the meat smell very aromatic know they know how to cook meat right. The tortillas are steam like they do it Mexico that keep the tortillas moist not dry like other place they a flat grill to cook the tortillas. We meat choice for our tacos is carne asada. By the way the tacos are steaming hot but delicious. The tacos have a good portion of meat in each taco. If you like hot sauce on your tacos they bottles of hot sauces of your choice green or red both of them have a kick just warring you guys. Plus they have salad bar like cucumber,limes radish for you tacos. They also sell can sodas. I recommend Tacos El Negro to my family and friends and including my Yelp friends.

Really good tacos tortilla is so soft tacos de Caveza are my favorite!!!! Try the little flans you will not be disappointed!!!!

This place is LEGIT! My co-worker recommended this place to me and I'm in love with the tasty meat choices they offer here for tacos. They have cabeza, labios, mejillas, and asada. My favorite is the labios tacos because the meat is deliciously fatty. I tried el flan de queso and it's flipping bomb! This hole in the wall taco place is such a gem. There's ample spaces in the parking lot during lunch hour and there's a lot of seating. They're super fast with your order if you're in a hurry. They have no menu posted but the staff is friendly enough to help you. Be forewarned that this joint is CASH ONLY.

All they sell here is tacos period.No burritos, no quesadilla no nachos. But they are the bomb. Specially the labio tacos. Tasted just like lengua. Munch monster likes!

This isn't the friendliest of places but the tacos are bomb. It's all very simple and stress free. And if you get it to go you don't have to ask for the onion cilantro radishes cucumbers limes etc.

HOOOOOOLY SHIT. Best tacos I've had in a long while :O Stopped by here after work and I was starving. The people who work there don't seem to speak English but that's alright. I ordered 2 cabeza and 2 labia tacos and they were sooo fatty and flavorful! Very quick service - was served about 5 minuted after I ordered and the food came out HOT. I ordered to-go and decided to just try a little bit of meat before I drove out. After the first taste, I literally INHALED the other 3 before I even hit the freeway less than 5 minutes from there. I felt like fainting they were so damned good - but also could have been because I was so hungry......nah. I'll attribute it to the delicious tacos. I was ready to pick up my best friend in Long Beach and drive our asses back over there cuz I just had to share the news. I almost never write reviews the same day (due to laziness) but this one warrants immediate feedback. 10/10 would go back....literally already made plans with my friend to go back tomorrow haha!

No other taco can come close to these. I haven't had them in a while but I'm always taking family here and now it's they're go to tacos when in town. The habanero salsa is also super hot and flavorful. You'll always come back for more, highly recommend this place.

Amazing tacos.... My coworker recommended this place to me and ever since I been addicted to these amazing tacos. It is sooo good. It is not greasy like some taco truck ones but it is still very juicy. The meat is amazing and soft and flavorful :) yay

This place knows how to make tacos!! I love carne asada tacos but I'm always very particular of what taquerias to order from because I don't like big chunks of meat with nerves. I had a go to spot which I won't mention the name that is also very popular taqueria in BG which served very good tacos but after after trying Tacos El Negro, I will never eat tacos at another place agian! These tacos are so delicious, two mini corn tortillas topped with meat galore with your choice of red or green salsa that you add yourself. The meat is chopped up thin and cooked to perfection. There seriously isn't enough good things I can say about these tacos!

Got all the different tacos they had to offer. Loved it. Went with some coworkers. Fresh garnish condiment bar. Pipping hot tacos, great flavor and texture and price. Good spicy habanero to go with. Will come back for many days to come. No menu, cash only joint. Love it

Wanted Tacos and finally made it here! I love how simple it is. The have like 4 different meat choices and the meat is tender and delicious!! They only serve tacos so it's done RIGHT. They have 2 salsas habanero (spicy as hell but good) and green (not that spicy but tastes better than the habanero). They have their own parking lot, and their staff is friendly. I loved to see a diverse clientele which confirms how good they are. Lastly my son left his cell phone there and they kept it until we made it back later that evening. Honest and good! I'll be going back for our taco fixes!! 8 tacos and 1 horchata for $16 and change.

There are so many taco places to check out in the area, but I would really recommend this one. The food comes out pretty quickly, and the meat is flavorful. They put a good amount of meat in each taco. There's a salsa bar with cucumbers, limes, etc. My boyfriend and I both got tacos de asada and tacos de cabeza. Both really good, but my favorite were the cabeza tacos. The jamaica was great as well.

Hands down the best taco joint I've been to in So Cal. Guisados ok, King Taco ok, El Atacor in Pico Rivera ok - this place blows them out of the water. I will be back for sure!!!!

Best Vapor (steam cooked) tacos!! I'm usually a regular in there South Gate location but since I work around the corner from this one I decided to stop by. The tacos are steam cooked. They only have head (cabeza) labio ( lip) cheek (cachete) and asada. I wish they can throw in some lengua (tongue) in there menu. The meat has a lot of flavor. Tortilla are very delicious. There green mild salsa is really good! (Careful red salsa is made from habanero very spice). The location was very clean very organized. The customer service is excellent I truly recommend Tacos El Negro no matter what location you go there tacos never disappoint
