Ok, I hesitate to post this review because the place will start getting more crowded as more people find out about this hidden jewel in Broward. This is a no frills bakery that also serves tacos.. so, you can get your pastries, cakes, and flan, but you're really here for the tacos. As noted by several other reviewers, knowing at least some rudimentary Spanish will serve you well. If you use Google Translate, you will likely be scared to order. Suadero apparently translates to 'Snails', but it's actually the slang term for ground beef. Basically, in the old days, they would transport food and supplies by mule loaded with packs. When loaded, the burros looked kinda like snails. Long story - Suadero is NOT an escargot taco! I've tried just about every possible taco on their menu, and my favorites are the Suadero and the Chorizo. The longganista is also a sausage, but I prefer the Chorizo. Unless you specify otherwise, tacos will have meat, chopped onions, and cilantro on top. They do not add cheese, lettuce, or tomato unless specifically requested. They have horchata upon request as well as a drink cooler with various sodas. On weekends, they do the cooking in a taco cart outside.. during the week, they use the kitchen inside. On each occasion that I have been here, I was the only non-hispanic person here... that just tells you about the authenticity. So, try to learn a little Spanish, be respectful - they'll try to help you figure out how to order. The staff is very kind and the food is fantastic - have fun with it and try something new!
