"Oh, papi. This unassuming spot in Oakland Park boasts a small, simple dining room that often overflows into tables set up in the parking lot. Its homegrown taco goodness at its pinnacle, with its delightfully crisp and pineapple-filled al pastor offering being a crowd favorite." - Jesse Scott

Google
BEST TACO SPOT IN SOUTH FLORIDA. The only tacos that taste authentic. The service is always amazing. We are regulars here because of how delicious the food is and how friendly everyone is. Even if you come in a big group, they will make sure you are seated! 100/10 !!!

Google
The food is excellent!! Truly authentic Mexican food and the price is right! I’ve NEVER been disappointed. I got at least 2x a week. Great customer service. Very clean and yummy food!! Cold beer as well.

Google
so fricking delicious. I always crave authentic tacos with innerds (tongue, tripe, cheeks.. etc) and this was it. a bit more pricy than the other authentic taco places but this is inside a clean restaurant away from mosquitoes so it was worth it.

Google
We came from Miami and the tacos did not disappoint. The food here is very good and fresh we will be coming every time we are near here 👍🏽

Google
Amazing authentic Mexican food! The food is very tasty and the menu is big. Prices are cheap and they have discount if you pay cash instead of card. The staff is fine, not super friendly but the service is decent. I’d definitely recommend trying their food. 9/10

Google
My other Mexican restaurant down the street Alegria was closed so came here. I had the El Pastor 🌮 tacos. They were very good. Prices are a little less but the tacos are smaller so that makes sense. The staff is very friendly and fast service. They do have a sitting area. If you pay cash 💵 they give you a discount vs credit card 💳.

Google
I enjoyed the tacos at El Papi. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 1 taco de lengua. I asked for my tacos with no onion and they were happy to accommodate my request. Tacos come with 2 lightly toasted corn tortillas and each table has a green and red salsa to add some heat. Both salsas were delicious! Staff were friendly and service is fast.

Hudson H.

Yelp
absolutely amazing tacos. I had the carne asada and pastor. the meat is very flavorful and the tacos come with cucumbers, roasted onions, radishes and salsa. the guac is phenomenal as well will definitely be making this a go to

Yelp
If you want authentic Mexican tacos...this is your place. It brought me back to my travels through Central America. Tacos are out of control good! You are not coming here for the ambiance and this is a great place to practice your Spanish. For what it is...5 star in my book!

Yelp
Authentic and absolutely delicious. I've passed by this place for years and finally decided to stop in. Easily some of the best tacos I've ever had. The Birria tacos are a must try! Service was friendly and welcoming. Food was made fresh to order and came out quickly! They have a pastry case with daily fresh baked goods, and two cold cases with other tasty desserts. We grabbed a pastry and tres leches on the way out. Local, family owned business that deserves some recognition!

Yelp
So this place was cool. The service was good, even though there was somewhat of a language barrier, but we knew what we were getting into anyway. Our Spanish is not so good but we made it through. The food was good maybe the meat could've used a little bit more seasoning, but it was authentic and it did the job

Kevin L.

Yelp
Wow. Both me and my wife were surprised how good the tacos were here. The meat was perfectly cooked....not dry. But I think the key was how they toasted the tortillas slightly. Normally taco places don't do that and the tortilla falls apart. The chips and salsa weren't the best but they tacos made up for it. I got the al pastor, lengua, tripe and carne asada...all were so good. I will make sure I stop by next time I am in Fort Lauderdale.

Rose A.

Yelp
Didn't get a chance to take any photos, but I had four chorizo tacos and one chicken taco. The tacos here are super authentic to the tacos that I had growing up around other Mexican kids and having dinners at their homes. Tacos, corn shell tacos they ask if you want onions and cilantro always get the onions and cilantro. You're not getting no gringo tacos here there's no flour tortilla. There's no sour cream. There's no Mexican shredded cheese and that's the way we like it. They do have some indoor seating and sometimes there is a wait but it's worth it. You can also order their house made juices or you can get a Jarritos

Mark L.

Yelp
O M G........ this place is the spot!! A legit authentic taco spot. They also have a large selection of pastries and desserts that are just delicious the service has always been great. They will just take one large order then you split what you had when you go to pay at the register. It's nothing nice but it has that authentic/dive feel where you would expect food this good.

Yelp
I can't support Tacos El Papi after learning how they treat their employees. Management takes tips that should go to the hardworking staff, and when employees ask about it, they get fired. It's disappointing to see a business operate this way, especially when the owner claims to be Christian but doesn't practice fairness or honesty. Good businesses respect their workers, and customers deserve to know where their money is going. Until they change their practices, I won't be back.

Yelp
One of the best hidden gems in South Florida for authentic Mexican Tacos. A great find with a kitchen in the back of a bakery - with tables for dine-in. A great selection of authentic meats - ranging from: asada, longanisa, tripa, suadero, pastor, and many more. An order of tacos come with a roasted scallion and pickled jalapeño. A local mom and pop with kids coming home from school and stopping by for a snack to fill the ambience with Telemundo in the background.

Samuel S.

Yelp
Ooooof! Super good tacos. You know its the real Sh!t when they do double tortillas. I came on a friday afternoon and i kid you not they came out in 2 minutes. I ordered, paid, sat down then BOOM she brought em out. "Fast food" got nothing on Blanca! Usually i take advantage of this taco spot in miami while im there seeing the in-laws but no need for that anymore....now blanca's & el papi are my go to taco's.

Rachel K.

Yelp
Delicious. Probably the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Florida I've been to. Everything was great & the inside was cute and inviting, little mom & pop shop

Sean D.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible authentic tacos. Everything is very fresh, flavorful, reasonably priced. The pastries and baked goods are also authentic and delicious. The complementary hot sauces are tasty and fresh. An absolute gem.

Shanique R.

Yelp
Came to Blanca's late on a Saturday night because we wanted authentic tacos. Upon walking in I could tell immediately that the food would be fresh. The restaurant was very colorful and they plenty of seating in the front of the restaurant. The tacos were made right on the grill outside the restaurant. The reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because the wait was insane! My advice would be to not go here on a weekend night especially if you are looking to be served quickly. We ordered the vegetarian tacos and the al pastor tacos. Both were spectacular! The flavors were great and honestly, these were some of the most authentic tacos I've had in a while. I also had the pineapple juice which was freshly squeezed. This place is a great hidden gem!

Venom

Yelp
I ate everything , I was very surprised how good the tacos taste, I will be coming back for sure thank you.

Yelp
There are several options on the main drag. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! This place is as legit as it gets. You can smell and taste the difference. The staff is incredible and extremely accommodating. Most restaurants will only speak English to you even though you can speak fluent Spanish. The food, the experience, the vibe. Just look at the size of that burrito. Brb, food coma.

Vernon W.

Yelp
Rude service. Very loud hard to hear the server. When asked to repeat. She was very rude. Couldn't careless about customer service. There's another Mexican restaurant two blocks down that I have patroned. Good food better customer service.

Riko A.

Yelp
Amazing authentic taco shop. Real Mexican, delicious flavor, like home cooked. I had to get another vegetarian taco, and I'm going to come back for more. Chicken tamale was fire.

Hiram G.

Yelp
Blanca's Bakery and el Papi tacos are the perfect mix. I have to admit we only gave this place a try because we thought the name was catchy and funny, but let me tell you something, these guys pack a lot more than a funny name. Their chillaquiles with pollo are delicious, but to me, their tacos are to die for. The service was amazing and el Papi was super fast to take our order and deliver it. We took some sweets home for dessert since we were already full, and it was well worth it. Chok definitely approves this place, but also I can say they have some of the best tacos around the area. See you guys soon!

Criss S.

Yelp
If you haven't had a torta from El Papi, you need to have one NOW. My favorite is the torta Michoacan. Of course, their tacos and other foods are good. However, their torta is my favorite with their homemade red sauce. The red sauce is smoky and spicy. Their "agua frescas" are delicious, too; my favorites are tamarindo y Jamaica. Then, you must have a tres leches cake (very sweet and moist). They have the best tres leches I have had in south Florida. The service is friendly.

Brittany P.

Yelp
The best most authentic tacos that I've had! The pork tacos are so amazing, chicken and steak are a close second. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Check this place out for delicious food and fast friendly service.

Marqus R.

Yelp
Blanca's Bakery is a Mexican bakery and if you go here unable to speak Spanish, you may find yourself having problems communicating. But besides being a bakery it's also a restaurant with a good selection of tacos and tortas. I went for a taco campechano, a type of taco comprised of varying meats. In my case I think it was beef and pork (as chicharrón, longaniza) which is a combination well known to be mutually enhancing with more desirable flavors. Overall it was tasty, not bad, but not exceptional. I was happy to see their selection of tortas, as I never see much emphasis on them in other Mexican restaurants. It's long been said that the taco and the torta comprise the two main pillars of Mexican street food, and though the taco has long found its way into the heart of American foods, the torta is only beginning to immerge. Blanca's is a small place, sort of a hole in the wall type of operation. However, for such an operation, exceptionally clean and orderly.

Sherry W.

Yelp
This place is authentic and very affordable. I had two tacos, chips and salsa, bottled water, and a side of beans for $6. There are four large tables to sit at. There is a salsa bar. The taco meat was well flavored. The chips are thick fried corn tortillas. The red salsa had a kick to it. The staff is friendly and service was fast. There is parking right out front. They have a large variety of baked goods that are made in house. They also have cakes.

Robert L.

Yelp
What a great find while driving. They had blasting mexican music and out door cooking and seating that caught our eye. Their cuban sandwich was from another planet to feed a family of 20. Wow what a beast. So were the tacos. Just awesome and at the end for everything we got it cost 26 bucks. Worth evwey single penny qne we had food for 3 days.

Bill D.

Yelp
The most delicious tacos in Broward, hands down. Very good guacamole, ice cream and friendly staff.

Pablo Andres N.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican food! Such a gem! Hole in the wall. We got the carne asada tacos, Al pastor, tripe, and tongue. Recommend all of them.

Mike S.

Yelp
Don't be afraid of the $3-4 tacos. They are worth it. Tons of meat, outstanding flavors. The sauces, homemade and perfect. Go and eat tacos now!

Jesús N.

Yelp
They have the BEST tacos and the BEST barritos and tortas i really recommend you to go there like literally go now!

Debbie E.

Yelp
I've been looking for good tacos! I have to say these were the BEST ALPASTOR tacos I've had since living in Los Angeles. The service needs major improvements they got all of our orders wrong for the most part! That's the only reason I don't give them 5

Gabriella R.

Yelp
Best tacos I've ever had in my life hands down .. and I've had a lot of tacos. They have an authentic flavor and use corn tortillas. They have great portion sizes for a decent price. Their burrito is the size of TWO Chipotle burritos. I love this place so much!

Rece G.

Yelp
Another one of the few hole in the wall that serve some good Mexican on Andrews Ave and Dixie Highway. The feeling when walking into Bianca's is very fun the place is very authentic with a wide menu that offers all sorts of baked goods and tacos. The reason I was drawn in was the huge Tortas they served, and it didn't disappoint. The size of it was huge! The quality was ok enjoyed it, enough to come back but not enough to love. The service leaves a bit to be desired but they don't make you wait too long and they are nice. Just lacked enough wow to make this a 5 star for me.

Michael M.

Yelp
Best tacos in the USA. Perfect for taco Tuesdays. This is done the authentic Mexican way: double soft shell, served fresh with lots of fresh local onion, radish, cilantro, peppers, seasoned meats, and fresh lime. We have also tried the tostadas, tamales, and the breakfast is awesome as well. Definitely try the tres leches cakes, and arroz con leche for desert. Aside from the amazing food, the owners and staff are so genuinely friendly and welcoming. This little place is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Seriously!

Cris J.

Yelp
Stopped in here after doing hitting up Project Rock across the street. We heard the Mexican music and saw them setting up the tables outside with a taco stand and it was game on! Everything about this place is authentic Mexican ! If you have been on the search for authentic Mexican tacos, search no more ! Will be coming back here for sure... like tomorrow !

Faith W.

Yelp
Best street tacos! Prices have went up though so don't go as often- almost $4 for a tiny taco. They are tasty but went up a dollar a taco

leo l.

Yelp
Best Mexican tacos around!!!!! Excellent Panaderia and great cakes!!! The tacos are amazing but service sucks and sometimes you have to wait almost 1/2 hour just to get your food

Samita T.

Yelp
Really good tacos. It's very hard to stand out as a Mexican restaurant in Oakland Park area since we have many authentic Mexican restaurants. Many of which are walking distance from Blanca's. But the food here is amazing. I had tacos asada and a pork tamale. The tamale was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The tacos were filled with fresh grilled steak, freshly chopped onion, cilantro, and grilled green onion. They have beautiful looking bakery on the display. The sugar donuts looked very delicious. Fluffy and soft. But I decided to go with the strawberry popsicle instead which was a bad choice. The popsicle had a lot of added sugar and corn syrup that even though it made from real fruit with fruit chunks in it, it tasted artificial. I'll go back and try the bakery.

Courtney M.

Yelp
We were staying in an Airbnb right around the corner from this place. As soon as we drove by it, we knew it was going to be amazing. We ordered 20 tacos for 5 people and homemade guac and chips. Everything was cooked fresh right in front of you and tasted super flavorful and delicious. Some of the best tacos I've had. My friend went back the next day and got one of the Tortas which was also amazing and super big. We tried to go back a few days later but they were unfortunately closed for Good Friday. Would definitely go back there the next time I'm in Fort Lauderdale area!

Paul Z.

Yelp
Off to a great start on this years " national taco day "! Today I decided to give " tacos el papi " a try. I heard about this place, thanks to my Chefs recommendation. As soon as you walk in, you get hit with the authenticity of a Mexican style bakery. We ordered 6 tacos and a shrimp broth soup. The tacos were split up between " cabeza " witch is head. " carne asada " witch is sautéed beef, and a mix of chorizo and " cabeza ". The shrimp soup was not my favorite, but atleast I know to not go that route again. The tacos were Great to say the least.y favorite was hands down the " cabeza ". The perfectly cooked meat was falling apart in my mouth, topped with fresh onions and cilantro and 2 amazing homemade salsas... IM IN HEAVEN BABY!! The " salsa verde " really stood out to me. The balance between spicy and saltiness were perfect in my opinion. The red salsa has a very tasty kick to it towards the end. Both salsas are worth trying if you like your food with a little extra kick! The staff was very welcoming and very nice to answer any questions we had about the menu.. ( we weren't sure what a couple of things were ). One word of advice, is leave room for dessert. You won't regret it. I picked out one of their freshly made donuts covered in sugar. I'm not trying to exaggerate here... that donut was one of the best I've ever had. Next time I come I'm trying all the other tacos they have to offer, along with a " torta " witch is a Mexican style sandwich. Looking forward to coming back!

Renzo C.

Yelp
I think they should have another yelp location for Tacos el Papi, since it operates within Blanca's bakery. In any case, my review is for the taco place but I am willing to come back for the bakery goods. We passed by this place one day with some friends and decided to give it a try. It is authentic Mexican, I had to ask for help regarding the menu because there were some plates I had no idea what they were. The sandwiches (Tortas) are HUGE so its better for you to share. Ordered the tacos and other plates to share and they were all good. It was interesting to eat outside too. Definitely my place to go for tacos now.

Luis L.

Yelp
Cannot beat $2 tacos as authentic as you will find in South Florida. The mexican tortas are huge and very tasty! Not a fan of the sweet breads nor desserts and English speaking is limited but you can still get your point across. If you are around the area on a Friday/Saturday night, they cook food outside and put out tables/chairs with Mexican music until midnight.

Arnold P.

Yelp
This place screams culture, hard work, and amazing food. The tacos and the 2 chefs are amazing. We haven't had bad pastry or cake yet. We live across the street so we know the options for tacos are second to none anywhere outside of Texas. But, we always go here for tacos anf desert. $2 tacos for any readers by the way.

Kim C.

Yelp
Beat tacos in the area! Don't let the bakery and lack of signage fool you, this is the real deal. The steak (asada) tacos are amazing and so are the pastor (pork). Genuine food at great prices. This is definitely a mom and pop shop so come hungry and be fed for a good price. My review is for the tacos not the bakery.

B E.

Yelp
Ok, I hesitate to post this review because the place will start getting more crowded as more people find out about this hidden jewel in Broward. This is a no frills bakery that also serves tacos.. so, you can get your pastries, cakes, and flan, but you're really here for the tacos. As noted by several other reviewers, knowing at least some rudimentary Spanish will serve you well. If you use Google Translate, you will likely be scared to order. Suadero apparently translates to 'Snails', but it's actually the slang term for ground beef. Basically, in the old days, they would transport food and supplies by mule loaded with packs. When loaded, the burros looked kinda like snails. Long story - Suadero is NOT an escargot taco! I've tried just about every possible taco on their menu, and my favorites are the Suadero and the Chorizo. The longganista is also a sausage, but I prefer the Chorizo. Unless you specify otherwise, tacos will have meat, chopped onions, and cilantro on top. They do not add cheese, lettuce, or tomato unless specifically requested. They have horchata upon request as well as a drink cooler with various sodas. On weekends, they do the cooking in a taco cart outside.. during the week, they use the kitchen inside. On each occasion that I have been here, I was the only non-hispanic person here... that just tells you about the authenticity. So, try to learn a little Spanish, be respectful - they'll try to help you figure out how to order. The staff is very kind and the food is fantastic - have fun with it and try something new!

Alicia P.

Yelp
Finally a Mexican Bakery!!!! Yum!! So glad I found this place. Fresh bread, conchas, flan, tres leches, etc! Super friendly people too!

steve h.

Yelp
The only problem with this place is their lack of English. BEST TACOS EVER!!!!! With tacos this good I can deal with the rest!!!

Fernando D.

Yelp
omg... we ordered quesadilla thinking it was the Mexican one inside deep fried corn tortilla. it was American style on flour tortilla. i almost cancelled the order. thank god i didn't. their specialty in my oopinion is 'al pastor', and the al pastorr quesadilla was a little taste of spicy heavy. give them a shott. the outsdoor seating is comfortable and the ambiance is what you would expecct fromm a typical Mexican food joint.

Daniel R.

Yelp
I recently moved to the area and let me tell you.. this has to be one of my favorite places down here. The food is authentic and flavor is excellent. 11/10 would recommend .

Alejandro R.

Yelp
I live in the Oakland Park area and like the convenience to have a Mexican Bakery in the area, really good!... Vivo en el Area de Oakland Park y veo muy conveniente el tener una Panaderia Mejicana en el area, muy bueno!...

Isabel A.

Yelp
Really delicious and authentic tacos and traditional Mexican delicacies. We absolutely loved it and will go back. Also the prices were great and staff was very nice! The gentleman sometimes takes his grill outside and makes the tacos right there in front of you. Highly recommend it.
