Devin and his team catered our wedding in July, 2021 and it was outstanding! We've been followers of Tacos el Precioso for a while, but when they started making meal kits during the pandemic, it was clear there was more to them than their amazing tacos. My wife and I wanted to craft a wedding dinner menu inspired by our favorite restaurant in Mexico City, Contramar, and its sister restaurant Cala in SF. Devin and the team completely nailed it. They made us a multi-course meal for our omnivore, pescatarian, and vegan guests that was fluid, fresh, and made everyone feel like they were being served the best dishes regardless of diet. From the ceviche and handmade tostadas during cocktail hour, to the thoughtful and substantial veggie (like the cauliflower al pastor) and protein entrees (fiah, pork chile colorado), to an amazing arroz con leche with seasonal stone fruit for dessert, it was all a hit our friends and family still talk about. We chose Devin for his commitment to clean, seasonal, local, and ethically-sourced ingredients and that's what we got. The team was also able to prepare agua frescas for our bar and punches. I can't recommend Devin and his team enough.

I just discovered this business when they catered for a big outdoor tennis event. The fresh, homemade guacamole was served in a COVID friendly paper boat with chips and every type of taco was delicious! I'm hiring them for my girlfriend's birthday party. : )

Tacos El Precioso is seriously the greatest, I cannot say enough good things about them. Devin, Fern, and Sylvie were all AMAZING to work with. Professional, creative, kind, fun, ethical, woke, flexible, detail oriented, and with the utmost integrity: I could not recommend their catering enough. The team catered our 150+ person wedding which was Halloween-themed and from the first email inquiry to taking the time to have the whole team come up in person to say thank you for the opportunity and wish us well on our wedding day--they were just the best. We got the Conchita Pibil, chicken chile verde, mushrooms with chimichurri, and chicken tinga witht he farmers market salad, rice and beans--delicious. Even when we thought there might be rain, Sylvie sprung into action to help me problem solve with calmness, kindness, and grace. Honestly, why would you go with any other team? I am honestly already thinking about another event I'd like them to cater! They treated us like friends instead of clients and they food slaps! Thank you for everything.

I have a catering event with Tacos El Precioso in December and paid $550 for an invoice to secure my date and haven't heard anything back since October. We've tried to contact you through numerous methods but no one is getting back to us. Can someone please help me with this.

We paid a deposit & haven't heard back from anyone since last year. They didn't inform us they went out of business! They just took our $ and went MIA. We called Odin's Mezcalería & they were the ones that told us Tacos El Precioso went out of business. They told us they keep getting calls from people trying to reach Devin. I don't know how they can morally or legally get away with this. Very bummed because we put our trust in them & Devin seemed really chill in person. We were happy to support this local & small business but then they turned their backs on us ):

Ordered catering for my husband's birthday and it was a hit! They were super responsive and professional. Coordinating everything so quick and easy. The food was incredible and people kept raving about it. It was great to have a wide variety of options to satisfy the different tastes and dietary restrictions of our guests. The chorizo cauliflower was a popular option even with non-vegetarians. We were super happy to have leftovers and still weren't tired of it after eating the same meals for a couple days :) Would definitely order again in the future!

Fern & Devin & team are amazing!!! They catered our wedding (100 guests) and knocked it out of the park - we had an all-vegan menu (but definitely not all-vegan guests!) and even our most carnivorous loved ones RAVED about it! The appetizers got particularly glowing reviews. The agua frescas are absolutely delicious too! I really appreciated the excellent communication throughout the process, thoughtful & expert suggestions to accommodate the unusual event set-up & variety of guests' allergies and our own preferences. Fern was very helpful and spot on with all recommendations regarding menu & amounts - nobody went hungry and everyone had a fantastic time! I was at a work thing of sorts and luckily, it was being catered by Tacos El Precioso. I had my taco dinner on Thursday, August 16th around 6:30pm. *Mushroom Chimichurri: vegan *Chicken Mole: peanut free *Carnitas They were offering three tacos, so I said one of each please?! I liked the chicken mole the best as it had the most flavor. I'm a sucker for chimichurri, so the mushroom one was definitely up my alley. The carnitas was my least fav. It wasn't the nice fried pork I wanted. Had more of a stewed soft mushy texture. And I thought it was rather bland. The also offered salsas (mild and medium), chips, peppers, etc. I like a lot of heat with my salsas, so I wished they offered a spicy one. The peppers however were spicy, so at least filled that void. Great way to kick off my taco thursday. Although, I can have tacos any day!

Fern and Devin are amazing to work with! Words cannot describe how great of an experience, level of professionalism, and care both they, and their staff constantly displayed every time have used thier services. My now husband and I used them for our wedding caterer as they came highly recommended by a friend. Again words cannot describe how great they, their staff, and food are. Fern and Devin came up with custom menu for our appetizers that our guests could not stop raving about about ( they have the freshest & most delicious ceviche). Fern and Devin were also great in terms of letting me know how much food would be needed as and nothing went to waste which was amazing! Everything was so fresh and seasonal! We went with the taco bar, which all our guests loved. We got the Pollo Asado, Arrachera, Carnitas, and Braised Nopales with Summer Squash and everything was fabulous, and cooked perfectly..Seriously the best food ever, nothing was overcooked, mediocre or bland...Just perfect. Everything they do they excel at! Our guest list was around 80ish people and everyone got fresh grilled tacos super fast.. Devin, Fern, and thier staff were constantly on the move making sure everyone was well fed, looked after, and happy. Definitely ask them about desserts. Again some of the best pastries I've ever had. You can tell from talking to Fern and Devon how passionate about cooking, and Tacos El Precioso they are. The passion and love for what they do is reflected in the incredible taste of the food and wonderful people and staff they use. They are just an amazing team, with delicious food, and this review is just a small example of how great, caring, and detailed-oriented working with them is. Thank you all so much!

Now that I am older and my food allergies keep changing. Wheat and dairy makes me sick. I have been having a hard time finding food that is delicious and safe for me to eat. TEP always comes thru-I can literally get so many things on their menu BEST OF THE BEST!!!

Baby Tacos El Precioso don't owe me nothing! Do you hear me?! Not a damn thing!!! I was on some last minute ish because everybody else was on some bull when I called. Either the calls just go straight to voicemail, I had to wait for an English speaking person call me back (I really should learn Spanish), or they "don't do catering" even though I have their catered offerings at other parties. Anyways, the universe was obviously tryna direct my search to Tacos El Precioso. After a Yelp search I called Tacos El Precioso. When I called, I got this gem of a human named Devin. He was super helpful and made me feel like I was talking to a friend. We talked about all the options they provided and I was super impressed with the fact that basically everything was quality sourced, local, house made, and fresh. Devin even recommend that I drop by one of their weekly events and test out the food to get a chance to judge their offerings. While I wasn't able due to family in town, I was super impressed because you generally get whatcha get if ya know what I mean. While they're are usually booked, they just so happen to have the Saturday I wanted free which was a week out from the call. I told y'all the universe was redirecting me right?! So party day Devin and Fran/Fern (forgive me for not retaining her name) showed up like the pros that they are with the cute ass Tacos El Precioso truck. My fam was doubting me and thought I got some gentrified Mexicano food. Hahahaaaaaa...boy were they wrong. Everything, while refined, was AUTHENTIC AF! What we got... Beef Birria (crowd favorite) Chile verde chicken Braised cactus (To die for) We also added on the house made gauc, do not skip this step. They has an array of house made salsas and this pickles onions were like candy. They should really jar and distribute it. They'd take in so much dough they'd never have to cater again. Wait, that's self sabotage. I read that Devin and Co. Anyways, they make bomb ass fresh ass food and really were the icing on my daughters Sweet 16. Thank you Tacos El Precioso. I've been following Tacos El Precioso for more than 2 years now, and they've never let me down! HANDS DOWN BEST TACOS (MEAT/PLANT BASED) IN THE AREA. Front of the house staff is super friendly and approachable (Love you guys). Quality of food is top notch from presentation to every last drop of the marinated proteins. I look forward to seeing them every week at whichever pop up they are at!! Recommend: El Huevon Taco & Chilaquiles for brunch. Cauliflower al Pastor Tacos & Nachos for regular pop ups!

Devin and his team are putting some delicious & creative food! So far I've tried the lamb barbacoa, carnitas, beef birria, and cauliflower al pastor. All are great but the standouts were the lamb and carnitas! There's some unique spice in the carnitas that I really like, and the lamb is just perfectly cooked. All the garnishes and salsas also taste super fresh and balance the meats well! I hired El Precioso for catering recently and they were awesome for my backyard party of about 50 people. I went with a taco bar but they also offer buffet style and tostada bar. Love the optional additions like aqua Fresca and elotes! Anyway - less typing and more tacos! We had a taco truck lined up for our rehearsal dinner in the Marin headlands that backed out last min. I found these amazing people on Instagram and they fit us in! They were so accommodating and easy to work with! They literally saved the day and delivered and served up the mist amazing authentic tacos!!! Everything was perfect. Everyone loved the food. I love supporting people who love their craft... food is art!! These folks are the best... thank you!!!

TEP was a no brainer during the deep dark days of the pandemic. Devin and his team dropped menus nearly every week, and each one had lots of vegan options to choose from. I especially loved the mushroom ceviche, the vegan queso, and the Mexican chocolate pudding (omg!) but to be honest it was all fantastic, and always came with a creative farmer's market salad. I loved the variety of tacos from hibiscus flowers to cauliflower al pastor. Now that we are getting back into the real world again, I can't wait to stop by one of their many pop ups!!

Omg! I encountered these guys at a taco Tuesday pop-up at Harmonic Brewing in San Francisco and these tacos are the real deal! I tried all three options... Al Pastor, chicken chile verde and mushroom chimichurri. The tacos are totally delectable. Fantastically tender meat with delicious and unique flavors and combinations. Each taco was a very affordable $4. The Tacos El Preciosos team is extremely friendly and helpful, I truly appreciate that. Chef Devin and Andrea are a killer team! Great vibe and killer food, can't wait to see these guys again!

Tacos El Precioso did an absolutely amazing job catering our rehearsal dinner in September 2021. The food was beyond delicious (seriously better than we ever even imagined and we had very high expectations having tried their food!) Our family and friends were raving about the food. So many people said they were the best tacos they've ever had. (And these were guests from SF and LA.) We had friends who ate 5-6 tacos each! Their team was also SO amazing to work with on the day of. They were super fun, kind, and thoughtful! I sent them to the wrong venue (sent them to the wedding venue instead of the rehearsal dinner venue) and they handled what was surely a pretty significant burden for their team with extreme grace. They really acted as if nothing had happened and our guests were none the wiser! Their vibe was also amazing. They were there to bring the party! Many guests talked about how fun it was just to hang with them while they were up getting drinks or food. Thank you for being SO fun! Given what an amazing job they did for us, it's no surprise that another couple who was at our wedding has hired them for their special day as well! For our many guests who asked if they had a restaurant, we are so happy to report that they are opening a restaurant this spring on Oak St. in Oakland! We CANNOT wait! As an addendum, I also want to recommend their instagram. Not only is that the best place to find out about their popups (shout out to their amazing pozole as well!), but it's also a great place to learn about other dope Bay Area food projects. I recently had the pleasure of hiring these folks to cater my husband's long overdue memorial. He was from Texas, and wanted gumbo to be served. The team here totally got what we wanted, used the family recipe, and the tacos they also served were gobbled up by the crowd. The team was efficient, easy to work with, and added the personal touch of a sign to commemorate my husband. They fit right into a very colorful and chaotic scene. They also worked with our strict COVID protocols of getting vax cards and quick tests handled for their crew, as a matter of course. This was most appreciated. Their aguas frescas were a hit, and they even made jugs to give to our bartending staff to make mocktails. I would absolutely hire Devin and the team again!

Absolutely amazing food with killer vegan options. Anytime I see they have a pop up I always have to grab some! Delicious, authentic favorites with a modern twist. Chef's kiss for sure.

Last night, I had the privilege of enjoying a beautiful full spread of tacos and sides created by Tacos El Precioso. Each of the 3 people who were at the backyard event was both fun and professional. They presented 3 types of tacos, and at least 5 toppings for the tacos (including really great pickled veggies) along with really, really good rice and black beans. AND, very importantl, the 2 salsas and the chips were exemplary! We loved the tomatillo salsa. LOVED it! Theyre ready to open a brick and mortar in Jack London Square soon and we can't wait to enjoy their food over and over again.

I wish I had access to these tacos and chips on a weekly basis! The tacos are delicious, the chips have the perfect crunch and right amount of salt! yummy!!!

I've been eating the veggie meal kits off and on during covid and my goodness, are they delicious. I love the spicy salsa, it lasts forever because I can only use a tiny spoon of it at a time. The mushroom vegan ceviche has to be tried by everyone!

Hired Tacos El Precioso to cater my small elopement and it was delicious! The staff was helpful, quick, and clean and everyone loved the food! We ordered a tostada and salsa bar, and Precioso did not disappoint. We ordered chicken, pork, cauliflower, and ceviche! As well as some extra side dishes. The food was delicious and everything was disposable so clean up took no time at all! I highly recommend hiring this catering business for your next event!

Had the pleasure of treating myself to these delicious offerings from the Precioso crew on my bday no less, was very happy. They had secret lamb tacos on the menu that day so it felt like a blessing ! Look out for the blue van and have cash in hand , and who knows , there may be more "secret" tacos on the menu ! 10/10 would recommend

Sometimes you just need to sit back and reflect on why something is so good. In a land where you can get Amazing Tacos, Amazing creative flavors there are a handful of places that stand out. Tacos El Precioso is one of them. Come on Cauliflower al Pastor is super delicious and the Carnitas were on point. If it were for just those two things they would have been 5 stars, What sets them apart is the people. They are professional, Courteous and fun, from the moment you walk up you feel like you are with family. These guys make you feel at home. They are serving great food at a great price. Make time to find them and immerse yourself in the experience.

Devin and team go the extra mike, create amazing authentic food, and care deeply about their ingredients. I recommend them for events of all kinds .

Tacos el precioso came on to the East Bay food scene a few years ago and has been a staple ever since. Pozole, Birria, Tamales, Banana pudding of my DREAMS - and more importantly the one place I can find BREAKFAST TACOS. Devin is always pushing to create the best, and it shows. Their vegan offerings are equally as delicious as meat options. Something for everyone. 10/10 highly recommend.

Their food is incredibleeee! We ordered the pastor, birria, and squash/nopales tacos as well as an order of elote. The elote is vegan and out of this fucking world. Seriously, their vegan elote kicks all other elote's ass(es?) And I've never had such delicious nopales tacos before! Love that these guys offer incredible vegan food and don't skimp on flavor for the non meat-eaters. Bummed I found them just a few weeks before they leave Eli's but hoping I'll be able to track them down at other locations.

Tacos El Precioso catered our wedding 2 weeks ago. We were so glad they were available to cater--we've been eating their food at various popups around Oakland for the last couple years. They know what they're doing in the kitchen! Devin & his crew were awesome--they did appetizers during the cocktail hour as well as tacos for dinner. The food was amazing. Best ceviche I've had in my life! Everything went so smoothly--we had an amazing time & our guests (all 130 of them) loved the food!

Tacos El Precioso is amazing! We hired them for our wedding a few days ago, and we've consistently heard from guests that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Fern was especially a joy to work with. After engaging with a few other caterers that didn't seem to be on top of it, Fern was a breath of fresh air. She took the lead on thinking through all the details, big and small--and we were so grateful for it, given how many other things we were having to juggle already. She checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything was ironed out, took amazing notes, and was on top of everything. I can't believe she does this with so many different couples and events! The staff was amazingly professional, setup and teardown was a breeze, and everyone loved it. Hire them pronto!!

Tacos El Precioso catered my daughter's wedding this past weekend, and I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH! All the food was outstanding and their service was excellent in every way. Primarily, our daughter and her husband picked them for their food which was OUTSTANDING! They have vegetarian and vegan options that are just as delicious as the meat options. All of our guests loved the food and went back for multiple servings! We appreciated that they use food that's locally sourced and organic, and still reasonably priced! They were also very flexible as the guest list shifted a few times throughout the process. With every change they were super helpful and accommodating. Fern and her staff really went above and beyond to make the event seamless including: waiting through a longer than expected ceremony, passing around the starters, cutting and plating the pies (which we provided), not to mention organizing the rentals. And when the food portion of the event was finished, they packed up and left like ninjas. They were the epitome of professional--providing excellent service without being intrusive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Fern and the team at Tacos El Precioso are the absolute best! They catered our wedding and Fern was incredibly organized and on top of every detail. And most importantly, the food was phenomenal! Many guests told us how exceptional the food was, and how much they appreciated options for different diets (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free). I had a number of guests ask for contact info so they could hire them. The ceviche (including vegan "ceviche") and the grilled pineapple agua frescas were the biggest hits. Fern and her team truly helped make our day that much more special. I'll be first in line when they open their brick and mortar restaurant. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Shout out to Devin and his crew! We had them cater for my graduation party and I can honestly say we had the best experience! As a vegetarian, I appreciate the vegetarian options that were provided and based on feedback from family and friends, the tinga, birria, and asada were amazing! There was a great salsa bar and I appreciate his flexibility to place chips and salsa on the guest tables vs. having them at the salsa bar. It was a great balance of mild, medium, and hot salsas in addition to all of the other toppings. Lastly, I loved that our decorations matched (without even planning it) :)

Dellllllllish!!!!!! My partner ordered a spread from here, grill corn salsa, mushroom mole, quacamole, elote, tortillas, 2 salsas and a mexican chocolate vegan pudding. It was so worth the money. Her friend is the owner so she supported and ordered one of everything on the menu, this was a few months ago maybe 5. He was so nice and kind, and such a genuine person I could tell he was appreciative of our business. The flavors were on point. I didn't know what to expect the colors were so vibrant, the flavors weren't lacking in anyway. The salsas were spicy enough, the mole was salty enough, the corn was acidic enough. This guy isn't a rookie in the kitchen that's for sure!! He's food isn't cheap but that's because he uses good quality ingredients. I liked the whole take and make at home concept because it was really convenient. If your contemplating trying the food, it would be in your best interest to. And I'm not just saying that because my partner knows him.

Every time I have food from Devin and his team I swear it's the best thing I've eaten. Seasoning is always perfectly on point, the ingredients are super fresh and treated with such care. The amount of passion Devin has for sharing his food with people is clearly translated into each and every delicious dish he crafts. Great people making amazing food, with plenty of tasty vegetarian and vegan options! Cauliflower al pastor for the win.

Just echoing what all the other reviews are already saying... Tacos El Precioso catered our wedding and they were amazing!! The food was incredible - three months later our friends are literally still talking about how good the food and drinks were, and almost every guest told me the oat milk horchata was the best horchata they'd ever had in their life. Fern and Devin were sooooooo easy to work with. Really responsive and took all of our needs into consideration. Plus they do awesome work in the community. Total pros, wonderful people. 10 out of 5 stars!! I would 1000% hire them again and I've been telling everyone else to, also.

All menu items rip hard. Tinga - unmatched. Barbacoa - full body 60 min. soul massage. After finishing a plate, I go home and stare until I can return and truly be happy again. *** Update: I used Tacos El Precioso for a work related retirement party, and we hardly noticed anyone was leaving the company it was so good. But seriously. It was such a splash, everyone was asking where the food came from. Devin arrived on time and help set up a beautiful arrangement. The food was killer. Keeping this place in my pocket for future events 100%

The food here is delicious! Very fresh and gourmet. We used Fern and her team for our holiday party and it was a blast! Their set up was professional and included nice decorations. She even made us some special seasonal dips, which were off the charts! We had looked at several catering options and Tacos El Precioso had the best balance of quality/value. We hired this restaurant to cater my daughter's wedding. We were a little skiddish because we had never tried their food, but we lucked out! The food here is amazing. They did the complete set up for us and we loved every bite of it! They have vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. We were impressed by how much flavor and how good everything tasted. Can't wait to one day visit their restaurant. You cannot go wrong with these guys!

I have experienced the culinary wonders of Tacos el Precioso a few times now, once at a catered event and again on a Tuesday at Eli's. Both times were thoroughly enjoyable. Inventive without being over the top. We always end up ordering more than we need but finish it anyways because you can't let food like that go to waste! The excellent food is mirrored by the owner Devin and his cohorts, super friendly and easy to coordinate with for our event.

I have attended several events catered by Tacos El Precioso and personally know business owners who have hired them. Their food is seriously delicious, their tacos are some of the best tacos in the Bay, and their service is immaculate. The presentation of both their food and stands is gorgeous. I've been to a number of their popups including one this week on Grand Ave. Highlights of their food are the carnitas, mushroom mole, cauliflower al pastor, and the garden salad with radishes (not usually available at popups, but when they do meal kits).

Our family are all "foodies", and we all love Tacos El Precioso! Everything is so fresh it tastes like it's from the garden or the local farmers market. The meat and fresh fish are also the best quality. We also notice the attention to detail in the beautiful presentation and wide arrangement of seasonal fruits and vegetables. The food is outstanding with unique flavors and the best sauces, truly one of a kind. The service is also outstanding. They let you enjoy your party while making sure you and all of your guests are having a wonderful time!

Tacos El Precioso catered our wedding in San Pablo back in April - and people are still talking about the food!! I never had to worry about anything with Fern in charge of the planning. Everything went smoothly. The staff was all sweet and brought festive moods to our events. My personal favorite menu item was the birria enchiladas. The grilled pineapple agua fresca went so fast we didn't get to try it - people are still talking about that one too! The vegetarian options were clutch which was important to me since we had a few vegetarians in attendance. Fern and Devin helped us procure the dessert that I envisioned by commissioning a baker they knew to make it, and included it with all of the stuff they brought so I didn't have to deal with a separate dessert vendor. We also had fun trying some of their meal pick-ups in the lead-up to the wedding, and we hope to visit their brick-and-mortar place someday! I would absolutely hire TEP again for any future events. They are truly the bomb!!

I love the food from Tacos el Precioso. It's clear they use fresh, high quality ingredients, and the seasoning is on point! Not only is the food incredible, the team is super friendly and it's obvious they care deeply about what they do. Depending on the where they pop up, you can always expect a unique and delicious menu that seems to rotate depending on the season and what's fresh. Of course tacos, but some of my other favorites include tortas, pozole, and frito pies! Recently I tried their brunch at menu at classic cars west and the breakfast tacos were amazing! Do yourself a favor and follow them on social media so you can try their incredible food!

THE BEST. Thank you to the whole crew - amazing food and service! I got in touch with them super last minute because I procrastinated and they were able to accommodate our order so that's the first big thank you. Second big thank you is for how streamlined the ordering/ invoicing process was. Third is for the timely and efficient drop off (we did the tostadas, not the full service taco bar). Fourth, and biggest, thank you is obviously for the food itself. We got the carnitas, chili verde chicken and the cauliflower al pastor and our guests could not even handle themselves. It was amazing and if it wouldn't wreck my belly, I would just put a straw in the chipotle hot sauce and drink it (as I write this I'm just dunking tortilla chips in the little bit of leftover sauce) Anyway, 10/10 would recommend! We ran out of business cards at the party because so many of our pals wanted to order from them

So legit in every way. I've been following Devin (founder and co-owner) since his earlier days of sporadic neighborhood pop-ups and his food was great then, and it's still fantastic. On a collaborative/professional note- I recently hosted a 50 person private party at my business catered byTacos el Precioso; they were super professional, punctual, and organized with their set-up and clean-up. The guests were thrilled with the food (and so was I- they graciously brought enough for me and my staff to munch on as well!!) I highly recommend checking Tacos el Precioso out at one of their pop-ups and if you're looking for a caterer, they're the best!

Love, love, love their pop-ups! I love that their menu isn't like a traditional taco place. Devin and his crew really put love into the food they make and service they offer.
