Tio's Tacos
I was driving home after school, and saw that for the first time Tio Tacos wasn't super busy, so I went in. I've driven by it before, and wanted to try it, but there was always a line of people waiting to get in, so today was my lucky day. I don't know when this place opened up, but I wanted to try something new, and since they seem to be doing a lot of business, I reasoned that it must at least be passable, and they did not let me down.
When I went in, the people were really friendly. When I walked in, the interior was blue, and I saw pictures of food on the wall, which made me wonder what I was going to get. The service was excellent because they showed me the menu and gave me a seat while telling me what they would recommend and what kinds of meat they had when I told them I had never been there before. I waited about 10 minutes for my food before leaving.
When I got home, the food was packaged well and was still hot and ready to eat. The dish had fantastic taste and texture! The Al Pastor was one of the best tortas I've ever had. The bread was soft but crispy at the same time, and the meat was delectable. I noticed the depth of the chili peppers' smokiness, and it was mildly spicy upon first taste. Then, a spicy rush hits you like a bus. The green sauce they had was distinctive because it lacked any flavor, but what made up for it was the horchata I had because it was good and tasted smooth and creamy as if it were homemade, and it is one of my favorite drinks.
Overall, I'd rate it with 5 stars! The cooks did a good job, and their heart and soul was also in it. This is going to be a new place to eat at on my list and I'll return because the service was excellent. Tio's Tacos is the place to go if you want good meals and if you're in the mood to eat at a Mexican restaurant. I highly advise that you check this place out.
