Tacos Guerrero Review - East Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"Sometimes you just know. The first time we went to Tacos Guerrero, we opened the foil and had one of those holy sh*t moments. The breakfast tacos coming out of this tiny, orange, one-woman trailer on the East Side are nothing short of spectacular - like the migas, with still-crispy tortilla strips, that by default come with refried beans (which is not typical at all). We’re also big fans of the chorizo breakfast tacos, with eggs that have turned fiery and red. While the corn tortillas are handmade here, the flour tortillas aren’t - but they spend some time on a griddle to get revitalized. Make sure to get the molcajete salsa made from roasted tomatoes and chiles. There are a couple of tree-covered picnic tables right there in the parking lot (of a car insurance business), but it’s only a couple of blocks to the trail around Town Lake if you want somewhere more scenic to sit. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary" - Raphael Brion

I've driven by here a few times thinking it was a restaurant, so I decided to put my head in and see what it was all about. I wasn't disappointed! Along with a tiny little convenience store, this place has some really authentic Mexican food, and it's just as delicious! I highly recommend the burrito in the quesadilla!

I’ve eaten a lot of tacos and these were a revelation. Their barbacoa tacos were so good that I ordered a bunch more to go. Fantastic, authentic, made with love. My only regret in this life is that I don’t live near here. I would eat here every day.

Very nice people!!! I pulled in order had their tacos chicken beef both had a lot of flavor and they were hot and very fresh. It's a takeout place inside of a small convenience store so don't look for a server hahaha...

Happened to be passing through and stopped in because it looked like it would be good. BOY IS IT GOOD. Tamales were great, the empanadas had a fantastic hot sauce with them, and the barbacoa tacos were incredible. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

They have a great selection. The food was awesome, and prices are great. I had questions about the menu items as I'm not great with Spanish, but the ladies here explained it to me well with enthusiasm. I will most definitely be back.
