Tacos La Villa Mexican Grill

Lady was rude ordering the food. It happened today around 4:20ish 3rd car in line waited 22 minutes. As it being taco tuesday tacos are 1$ but depending on the meat last week they were 1$ now today for some reason there $1.50 anyway she said onion and cilantro i said yes because they dont add enough at all so i said extra and once again who likes tacos with little onion and cilantro

I ordered a wet burrito that was supposed to have “everything “ in it. I got a tortilla with overcooked rice and steak. No onions, no beans, no cilantro, no “everything” just a sad burrito. They used to be good

Not a bad place to try. I had called a few times to place an order ahead of time without using one of the 3rd party ordering services, doordash etc. I was left on the line while they did other things. First time waited 20 minutes before hanging back and calling back to jut repeat the process. Arrived before anyone took my order so just went in to place an order. They weren't very polite but got my food pretty quickly. They don't carry limes at all, never have I been to a Mexican restaurant without limes, she tried to give me lemons repeatedly. Food was pretty good, lots of onions.

Good food but I wasn't too happy with the queso birria tacos. Everything else on the menu is pretty much like the other La villa places. I only wish they had more than one register because when you pick up a phone order you have to get in line with the people who are waiting to order.

Best food in bakerfields. Love this place. We drive on the weekends 100miles to come eat here. I recommend this place to anyone. At first we where kind of iffy about going here because there places looked old from the outside. But we where very impressed with the food. This is our favorite spot in Bakersfield.

Fortunately this is NOT A TACOS LA VILLA....IT IS DEVOURAME...TRULY ABOUT 10X BETTER...always good always welcoming and everyday their r deals n specials. Owners n staff r always good to the customers.. never a long wait. Always pretty good with the order time. .FYI . ITS ALL GOOD FOOD !!!!TRY IT OUT YOU WILL SEE AND TASTE THE BEST....

Food was good, I guess. I just wish they wouldn’t skimp us out so much with the meat. I went in to eat & it was so hot in there. It’s ridiculous.

If you are looking for cold burritos, this place is for you! 10 Cali burritos ordered over the course of 2 months, and EVERY SINGLE TIME the burrito is cold. How is it possible for the carne asada, the fries and the tortillas to be cold? Not to mention the amount of time it takes them to "make" the burrito would leave you feeling like they are making it fresh just for you.

So me and my boyfriend uber eats'd many food items from here and it was prepared and delivered early! Wonderful and quick service. We ordered the al pastor burrito, grilled chicken torta, a jamaica aguas frescas, piña aguas frescas, AND two churros, one caramel-filled one strawberry-filled. The burrito and torta were both amaaazing. The burrito is HUGE and stuffed with rice among so much else. The flavors mesh so perfectly. I especially liked the chicken in the torta it was grilled to the perfect temperature, texture, and taste!! It also had such good condiments that went together well with each other and with the extra lemons and salsa that the store included for us! Our order came with two red salsas, two green salsas, and four lemons!! And you best believe we used alll of them, they were soo good and paired amazing with our food. The Churros were on another level, they were heavenly. The strawberry was nice and sweet and summery then the caramel one was just the most perfect sweet treat. They were perfectly sweet, savory, and warm. Suuuch a good choice! :) Lastly, both of our drinks were refreshing and just what we needed for this hot summer day. I was pleaseanlty surprised that the piña flavor wasn't very sweet. To be honest neither of us know exactly what's in the Jamaica flavor drink but we love it and have gotten it everytime we go to Tacos La Villa haha. The ambiance at every location so far has been wonderful. Every location has been friendly, efficient, welcoming, and caring :) and of course the food always comes out delicious. I definitely recommend coming to this place!

They completely messed up my order and when I came back to just remake the food they said they needed a receipt which I presented but for some reason the receipts they give are just for the cooks! It has nothing to do with your order. They made it so difficult just to correctly make my order.

Wow... What an interesting experience. Although I initially posted about the incorrect location I've found that management takes an unusually serious concern about how La Villas are operated, how they deliver great fare to their customers and that posted feedback is taken quite seriously. I'm offering 5 stars because I'm impressed with this level of professionalism. Aspiring to be the best darn tortillaria in the land is achieved by this kind of intensity. As such I look forward to my next chance to swing by for dinner!

Quality is not a priority here. I ordered an asada (steak) burrito today. I kept having to stop chewing my food, due to biting down on pieces of fat that were attached to the steak. It was like chewing on rubber. It happened several times, while attempting to eat my food. This is not the first time that this has happened. I eat here, stop for a while, due to being unsatisfied, give it another chance, only to be disappointed again...

The food here is pretty good and I like the fact that they are open late. They have a good variety on their menu including hot cheetos shrimp tacos with nacho cheese! It's weird, but good.

Not sure if it's because they use too much Fabuloso to clean or if they clean their pots with Fabuloso, but tonight their rice tasted just like it!! Awful!

The food was pretty good. I've had tacos de asada, hot Cheetos with cheese, and chicken sope with everything on it. Víctor prepared our food and gave us good service. The horchata was yummy, and good prices!

Delicious tacos!! Tried the Lengua, Pastor, Asada, and Chicken. I was not impressed with the chicken - and would not order them again. But all the others including the lengua tacos were among the best I've tasted at a taco stand. The jamaica (hibiscus) drink was perfect - not too sweet and not watered down. The staff was nice and attentive. Only thing I didn't like, was the man/manager behind the register wasn't wearing a mask as he demands his customers to do. The cashier was very friendly and offered many condiments. I appreciate that, since there's nothing like sitting down to eat at home only to realize the clerk didn't put salsa or limes etc in the bag. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place and I will be visiting everytime I'm in Bakersfield.

One of my favorite places to eat! The pastor tacos are amazing and the asada fries. I love the deal they have for taco tuesday and recommend them to ALL MY FRIENDS!

I love their food but this experience had my blood boiling. Ordered on Grub hub for pick up. Fits the pick up time gets pushed 10-15 minutes, that's fine. I show up and there isn't a designated spot to pick up online orders so I had to wait in line, which took at least 7 minutes (only 2 people ahead of me) ok whatever. Finally get the front, give her my name and what I ordered. She says she doesn't have it. I show her my receipt on my phone, correct address, correct time, paid in full. She just shrugs and continues with other customers. I asked if she can make the food and I'll wait and she says no, she can't help me because the order never came through. I told her that I already paid, here's my receipt, I've been waiting and she still said no. So I left and went to la villa down the street because I wanted my freaking tacos. Other la villa had my order ready in 5 minutes with no issues. I'll be leaving that restaurant a glowing review.

Grabbed burritos on the way home from Vegas. It was 1 of the only places open late . Employees were nice. Salsas at the salsa bar was good . And the burritos were a good size.

La Villa is definitely a local favorite, it's been around for ages, and the burritos are delicious. I always get the asada burritos but today I grabbed carnitas and it was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Best Tacos in the Central Valley!!! They now have hot cheetos tacos and burritos. The salsa bar didn't disappoint and the service was friendly. My only complaint is they may be charging a bit too much for tacos. I remember them being a lot less not to long back.

Great food, great service. Building was a little in need of updating, but the day we came in, it looked like it was in the process of doing just that. All workers were in a great mood and singing. Food was quick and very fresh. I'd definitely go out of my way to come back.

Hmmm not sure about this place. My carnitas burrito tasted great but my stomach pain began while I was still eating it. Also while ordering I felt a distinct frosty feeling of vague unwelcome. I'm not going back somewhere my business isn't wanted.

This is 6 chicken tacos with everything. Salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. If I don't check the food before I leave it's always fucked up. Whoever y'all got back there on Sundays needs to go.

Not authentic Mexican! The meats are gross and has no taste! The tacos are gross and the salsa is unreal tastes like a canned salsa! The meat was like rubber and if you know about real Carne Asada Tacos then you will know what I mean by this review. Tacos are wrapped to look like a pile of crap!

Best burrito I've ever had!! Ordered the grilled shrimp burrito. Fresh grilled shrimp and they were not at all skimpy with the shrimp. Chipotle sour cream was the bomb. Food is a bit pricey ($11 shrimp burrito) but the food is definitely high quality.

Fyi, I'm not a pro. I'm just a normal dude who loves to eat. I began yelping so I could help others find delicious places to eat. So, I've already written a review on the La Villa on Taft Hwy and Union. However, as you should know, not all La Villas are the same. This one was perfect! It is currently 3:20am on a Wednesday night and I just devoured a burrito and biting into a torta as I write this review. The food is so fresh! The burrito came out hot and steamy. The tortilla was warm and soft, the carne asada wasn't fatty and full of flavor, the rice and beans were filling, and the cheese (extra) brought all the flavor together. I also added some delicious salsa. The torta had the perfect carne asada inside, delicious sour cream, salsa, beans, lettuce and tomatoes all held together by a warm softly toasted bolillo. Oh, I almost forgot.... They butter the bolillo before toasting it! Bomb!!!! Just like my aunt! :) I was quite surprised by how flavorful this was and how appetizing it still was to me after I had eaten the burrito. The decor is the same as the other restaurants. It's a mexican fast food. Looks kind of like a cafeteria. Still, the food is great. I want to make a quick note on the action going on at 3am. There were a few cop cars down the road, some fire trucks down another block, and an ambulance speeding the same street the restaurant was on. If you are from northwest Bakersfield or you're white, I don't recommend coming here at this hour. Another 5 stars for La Villa. (Yeah, I'm a bit biased on this one.)

Very great customer service, although we came a bit late they still managed to take care of us promptly. Atmosphere was quite nice.

Wow! This really is like going to a taco truck but having a place to sit with AC (which we all know is key in Bakersfield summer heat). The tacos and food are the real deal. So are the customers... do not be surprised if you see the occasional homeless person hanging around outside. During my meal, there was one homeless gentleman who was opening the doors for people. Indeed, you will find fewer people on their business lunch here. The place could use a sprucing up, but it is clean and pretty standard for a more "Mom and Pop" spot. Inside there are some classic arcade games (such as PacMan and Streetfighter), and there are multiple tables that seat 2 or 4 people. There is also an outside seating area which has a very lovely metal grill over it. The grill really just adds to the ambience. For the food: Unlike "the other taco place" across the street (aka Tacos de Huicho), the prices are much more straightforward. All the tacos are $1 except the tripa (tripe) and lengua (tongue). The other meats (tongue and tripe) were 40 cents more when I visited, making those types of tacos ($1.40).. I enjoyed the chile verde, pastor and lengua tacos. I also tried the Burrito Asada. All were prepared bursting with flavor. They are not shy with the salsa and spices. The standard garnishes are available at the side bar adjacent to the register- radishes, pickled onion/carrots and 2 types of salsa (red and green). Drinks like horchata range from 50-80cents for a refill which is also cheaper than "the other place". Another bonus: you can order in Spanish or English and if you are an English-only speaker, they do not look at you like you have 3 heads.

Came here with the late night, after wedding munchies. Got the chili verde nachos, fuhgettaboutit. Also ordered their tacos de asada, carnitas, y al pastor, ALL GOOD. I wish they had a location by my house but next time I'm in Bakersfield, this a must stop.

Whatever you guys do don't go there at night time. I ordered some tacos de buche for my wife and the meat was cold.I literally heard the cook throw the meat in the microwave and yet it still came out cold. I remember when they barely open the food was great. I guess the nighttime cooks just don't care. Last time we go there.

Came here for taco Tuesday and enjoyed the tacos. Got four carne asada tacos & I was amazed and the size and how full of meat the tacos were. Theh do a really good job in their tacos. This will be a favorite of mine for tacos. Yumm!

Okay place, nothing that makes their carne asada burrito stand out from the next Mexican restaurant. Sort of bland, but it did its job.

I ordered two burritos, one shrimp and the other pastor. The shrimp was over cooked and tough to chew, I had asked for no chipotle and they put chipotle. The pastor burrito I asked for no salsa and they added salsa and to top it off I found a maggot in my burrito and I was sick for 2 days in a row. Do not recommend.

This is my favorite La Villa. Everything is super fresh and they hook it up. I made the mistake today of going to a different La Villa. I'm sad right now looking at my food. I wont be doing that again!

Only good think about this place is that they are open late. They are overpriced for the quality they give. 9 asada tacos and two drinks for $32. Better off just getting a burrito because at least you get more effort I to your meal. Also it's a separate wait for salsa. Took 15 to be able to get salsa after my meal was done. Also I feel bad for the girl working at the register, she has to take orders, hand out the food, manage drinks/refills and salsa, like seriously? The line was supper backed up.

I'm from LA and when I pass through Bakerfield I always stop there to get me some tacos and burritos.. the best specially my favorite chicken burrito with guacamole and of course all the veggies they provide.. place is very clean and the service is excellent.. I always recommend all my friends and family to stop by when they're passing by Bakerfield... 5 stars..!!!

Found this place on a win! It was early 6am! Found them and the burrito didn't disappoint! I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito & my daughter & I shared it. Really good!!!

One of the best Tacos La Villa. I come here a lot for my lunch break and they always serve consistent quality and delicious food. So far no complaints, and i have dined at this place at least 15 times lol. Im not ashamed

This is more of a take-out place than a sit down place. That being said, it is your pretty typical "authentic" taco joint. I went there on a weekday and noticed that they have menudo on the weekends. So I was instantly in the mood for menudo and waited for the weekend in anticipation of my favorite Mexican soup. At first I went to another restaurant down the street that was famous for their menudo. The line was wrapped around the block so I went back to Tacos La Villa for instant service. There were only 3 people ahead of me at the cash register. It seemed like it took a while for my order to come out, but there were already a few people ahead of me who were ordering 4-10 at a time, to go. While I waited, I snacked on veggies from the salsa bar. At most other places I go to, they pack the to-go orders with all the spices and condiments. They don't here, so don't forget to load up your bag with spices, napkins, spoons, before you go. I had ordered two because I wanted one for later too. They put so much tripe in there, it was great. I ended up saving the second order for lunch the next day.

Drove all the way down here from Hanford, was not disappointed. The tacos & hot Cheeto burrito are soooo good!

One of our 3 go to spots for Mexican. Asada and pastor tacos bomb! Love the tortas and burritos. This past week we've gone 3 times, and just thinking about it makes me want to jump into the car and dash on over. We've never been disappointed, they are open late, and the prices are decent.

The service is horrible. I wanted to try this place when I saw it on Instagram. They said tacos are a dollar on Tuesday and they have a new 24 hour restaurant on olive. I went around 3am on Tuesday morning for tacos and they said they couldn't make them a dollar. I tried sending a direct message to the owner and they didn't even read it, they just blocked me. I spent 35 dollars for 8 tacos. They were alright but they weren't 35 dollars worth! I would never go there again.

This place is trash their food is nasty. You'll get an upset stomach or diarrhea. Only go there if your drunk or are super hungry. Even saw roaches which was definitely the breaking point for me never going back

Not open 24 hrs ... sign says "breakfast " it's 8am and it's not even open!! What time you eat breakfast around here??

I have been going to this business for a very long time. And I will start the review with how much competition there is for tacos, and basic simple mexican food in our town. This place has very consistant food. A year or so ago they started using salsa out of gallon jugs, some prepared stuff that is inferior to what they had been making up to that point. If they had the in house made salsa, I would add a star. The parking lot is usually populated by panhandlers, sometimes very aggressive ones. I do not dock any stars for this, as the area is full of these lost people. One was so agressive he reached in to take my ashtray of my chevy, I guess he figured change was in there. I dont really like that aspect of this place, if you are adverse to this type of bullshit, then you may want to get your tacos in a better area.

Gross! Meat tasted nasty! No flavor! I ordered the hot Cheetos burrito with no onion (I'm allergic) and my burrito had no chips or Cheese and it had onion ‍ called them to check if maybe they handed me the wrong order and they hung up and wouldn't answer me when I tried calling back!
