"Chef Alexis Ayala's taqueria is located next door to his sister spot, Pargot, and the set-up is similar, with a thoughtfully done interior prep area and a handful of tables arranged under a covered sidewalk.Tacos Los Alexis offers a short list of varied preparations that include volcanoes, costras, as well as delightful tacos. The vegetarian taco is an elegant preparation featuring an excellent yellow masa tortilla topped with huitlacoche wrapped in crisped cheese." - Michelin Inspector

Creative flavors on a simple menu. The veggy taco was amazing. I wanted to go back the next day and grab another, but didn’t have time to make it back over

Great and unique tacos. The tortilla has a special mist that makes it unique. Service is quite slow due to lack of personal. Food is delicious but atmosphere can improve.

This taqueria hit the spot for a much needed taco fix. Folks Texas has great food but I just can’t work the texmex. I found this place after watching Eva Longoria’s CNN special and being a fellow born Corpus Christian (if that’s even a word) and raised in Laredo. I had to check it out and it was awesome! The vibe gives quick a go taqueria with fast and friendly service. You can sit down or order to go. The tacos and quesadillas were amazing and recommend the elote quesadillas and carne asada tacos. They have an English menu but use the Spanish one if you can.

Tacos Los Alexis, located on Río Lerma in Colonia Cuauhtémoc, is an interesting stop for those exploring Mexico City’s taco scene. As a Mexican, I firmly believe you shouldn’t overthink tacos—just eat whatever’s in front of you. But for my fellow tourists, here’s what you need to know. First off, I don’t put much faith in the Michelin Guide when it comes to regional food. Their approach often lacks the cultural depth necessary to make meaningful recommendations—just look at their misstep with “El Califa de León.” That being said, if you’re visiting Tacos Los Alexis, you’ll find high-quality ingredients, a solid tortilla, and well-executed salsas. However, keep in mind these aren’t your classic street tacos. The flavor combinations are thoughtful and delicious, but they don’t represent the full scope of traditional taquería fare. If you’re new to tacos in Mexico, don’t stop here—explore more spots to truly grasp the vast spectrum of what a taco can be.

It is the right place to try authentic Mexican food. Noe expansive and a very testy. If you are not far a way from this place, you should visit.

Hmm, the meat in the special taco was actually quite inedible for me, very chewy and tough. The sauce was very yummy though. I did enjoy the vegetarian one. Maybe just a bad night for the meat taco

Delicious food (albeit limited menu) that is unique in comparison to the other vegetarian tacos we tried in Mexico City. The crispy cheese huitlacoche taco is definitely one to remember, accompanied by an interesting salsa with cactus that we had not seen before. We received very warm service from Angel (front of house) and chef Josef, who carefully explained the ingredients in the vegetarian taco and unique use of the Mexican herb pipicha to us. Really nice experience.
