Having lived in Mexico City for many years, I am very picky about the Mexican food I eat.
Mexico City's restauranteurship is recognized among the best worldwide and I had lost my enthusiasm for Mexican food restaurants in L.A. because I wasn't finding the flavor any more.
Today, though, we had a magical re-encounter with that old feeling one gets in Mexico City, of being pampered with exquisite food, a warmth, unpretentious ambiance and a unique tequila experience.
Executive chef Christian Sanchez and the restaurant managercame to the table to teach us how to enjoy "Fulanito" tequila shots (it goes down beautifully, don't miss this opportunity)
We reached our gastronomic climax with a sensational, low-sugar chocoflan, a chilango classic.
Daniel our server rxcelled at making us feel at home.
