The Best Tacos in Mexico City Can Be Found at These 19 Taquerías - Eater

"For night owls or early birds with a hankering for tacos at 3 a.m., Tacos Tony is here for you. The sizzling, steaming taco operation has been around for more than 15 years in a busy intersection in the Narvarte neighborhood. Chilangos revere the taquería for the spiciness of their guacamole, roja, and verde salsas, all kissed with habanero. The campechano taco is among the best in town, but other excellent options include their lengua (tongue) and chunky suadero, a thick piece of perfectly cooked brisket on a crisp tortilla." - Natalia de la Rosa

Had great tacos here with good friends after playing some basquetbol! Their longaniza and suadero tacos were top tier! The only thing I wasn’t super impressed by was the juice - I got a mango and somehow it wasn’t as sweet as mango was despite it just being ground up mango I’m pretty sure. Also not the fault of the place but the ice in it didn’t so much cool it down as it did great cold pockets of water in the thicker mango juice. Would absolutely go again!

Love the bold and simple signage here. And the food? The suadero is as luscious and meaty as they say. Just make sure to get it in the big chunks and not chopped up. The salsas are as spicy as they come. Service young and friendly and efficient. There’s nothing not to like about Tony. We ate at the little stand which is the original Tony. Go across the street if you want to sit down for table service or a few blocks down to the newest Tacos Tony, although I can’t vouch for them I imagine quality is consistent.

The saudero here is the best taco i have had in my life. Hands down. Would recommend eating at the outdoor stand late night to get the full experience. You can even drive up and they serve you in your car!

It was good! Guys just opened new restaurant across the road and it’s very nice. Good-quality food, tasty cocktails. It’s a bit pricey, but worth trying. Very fast and attentive service.

The plan was just to have 1 taco and then go somewhere else but the tongue taco was so delicious that I had to have 2. I would have stayed there to taste all other ones they had but we had other plans unfortunately. Highly recommendable. The girls serving were great!!!

Honestly one of the best tacos that I ever had. Super fresh ingredients with melt in your mouth beef. Different hot sauce options. Super cheap too. 10/10

This place is the truth. A bit higher end than other Tacquiera's but not abnormal for this area either. Quality is peak. Great, large cocktails too. Wonderful service. Seems like they have the original stand and a sit-in space as well.

Felt like I was at a well oiled valet service for tacos. The longaniza taco was citrusy, spicy and tangy especially with the grilled onion and salsa Rojo. A perfect bite for 20 pesos.

Yelp
Excellent tacos in a pretty busy area. Tacos are made fresh and amazing in flavor- very robust and meaty, with very fast and attentive service. The horchata here is also one of the best I've ever had. The menu has a lot of cool things on it, and the selection of tacos is also very nice. I would love to visit this place again in CDMX.

Yelp
This place makes the most amazing street tacos. Really, half of the fun is watching them make the tacos with lightening speed. The scent from the taco meat on the hot grill wafts into the entire area and you are instantly hit with a hunger and desire for tacos. The meat they used is delicious and there's quite a few sauces and taco types to choose from. Thankfully, they make them small so that you can easily eat five tacos and still feel great. Since I had just arrived via plane and it was about 9pm, it was more of a late-night snack. There's not much in terms of parking. There's spots on the side streets and it's very crowded. Get the scallions on your tacos, you won't regret it! And, try all the sauces, they are so flavorful and different from what you can find in the states. The food is placed on a plastic plate that is wrapped with a clear plastic bag. Although I was unable to communicate with them, they seemed very friendly and casual. I can't wait to go back and recommend anyone in Mexico City stop by!

Yelp
Stopped here on our way to El Vilsito upon recommendation of my Chilango Taco spiritual guide. Tony's had wicked good suadero (tender brisket fried) chopped Fine. OMG. Then tried the Campechana Taco, which is a fluffy meat mixture of fried chorizo, suadero and who knows what else. I have to say it may have been one of the top 3 tacos this guy has ever eaten. Their salsas are beautifully fresh and hella spicy, to add to the Taco perfection. If you are going to Vilsito, you gotta stop here first, it's only half a block away.

Yelp
Delicious street food! The suadero (beef brisket) is simmering right in front of you, they chop it up and put it on a freshly made, super thin corn tortilla. I got the mix of suadero and chorizo in my taco. Then you add the fresh salsa. So much flavor! So good. And the guys back there cooking were very friendly and funny.

Yelp
This place was probably my favorite tacos. We got a variety, and all were very good. Get grilled Mexican green onions, so delicious. Salsas were excellent as well, kinda hard to find a bad taco or bad salsas anywhere in Mexico really. Tacos are cheap, about a little less than a dollar (US). They are small, but pace yourself, because these are so delicious you will want to eat many more, but then you won't have room for more tacos at the next stop!

Yelp
No words. Just go. Cash only. Being small change. The green herb in the middle is esapote, which is a palate cleanser for you to chew on after eating the greasy taco. There is purell on site.
