"Arrieros Marypaz might be located behind a Sam’s and Walmart, but it’s always filled with locals who wait in a short line for some excellent tacos. The arriero taco, which is this spot’s specialty, includes asada, adobada, chorizo, beans, and cheese on a flour or corn tortilla topped with cilantro, onion, and salsa—and it’s a thing of beauty. You'll always see the owner and her friendly team freshly make your gigantic tortillas and prepare your arriero with a precision that only comes from years of experience. The tacos themselves are extremely filling, and the combination of all the meats will keep you coming back—maybe even on the same day. There are only a few stools, so be prepared to eat your order standing up. " - debora mestre

A friend was craving a taco labia, lips. It had a nice texture. The service is nice. The horchata was tasty.

I’ve been coming here for more than 10 years and never had a complaint. Very good spot. Make sure to get a secret red tomato sauce

Went at night and the place was packed. It took over half an hour to get the food. 40 pesos for a quesadilla was a great price. The corn tortilla was freshly made and good. The great thing was the sweet green sauce we used to dip, I'll go back just for that sauce.

sin exageración some of the best street tacos and sauces i’ve had in +ten years. all hand made, tortillas on the spot. too easy to eat too many with the good price. and without the line like the trendy poncho’s downtown.

Parked on a residential street behind Walmart Tacos y Arrieros MaryPaz eschews all the trappings of a Restaurant for cart-style service targeting locals and astute tourists in search of handmade Tortillas topped with braised Meats plus all the fixings. A cash only spot operating from 4pm until late evening guests are invited to choose between Beef, Chicken, Pork and Mushrooms all offered atop Corn or Flour rounds accompanied by Beans, Onion, Cilantro and a choice of various housemade Salsas. Fast-paced and friendly, seats frequently filled such that most eat standing, prices track 25 pesos per oversized Taco while those seeking something more substantial should consider fried Potatoes slathered in Cheese then smashed with a choice of Protein.

We tried 3 different taco stands and this was hands down the best! The freshly made corn tortillas with well-stuffed asada made these tacos irresistible. We could not stop ordering more. The pickled onions added great flavor. We also ordered the carnaza tacos which were served on a double piece of flour tortillas. We even took food home because it was that good! All for a great price. 8 tacos and 1 quesadilla for only 230 pesos!

Yelp
All you need is a cold bottled soda and some delicious tacos here. The table is loaded with different salsas, and the service is quick. It reminds me of a teppanyaki/hibachi style restaurant - but obviously in Mexico and outside. I loved the flavors and all the fixings you don't always have access to in the states. I can't wait to go back to PV and have this.

Yelp
I'm glad the taxi driver recommended this place cause it's absolutely delicious and really authentic. The meat is full of flavor, homemade tortillas, and different salsas to choose from. This is definitely a local spot worth trying.

Yelp
I'm normally very skeptical about eating at places with open salsa containers and no plug-in fridge, but I've recommended this spot to multiple friends already. It's a little away from the main road on a dark street with other carts next to it, but it was very good. All of them were busy and pretty full, but our friends had tried this spot their first night in PV so we decided to go back since they had a great experience. I'm so glad we came here! Just get someone's attention, order, and wait for your yummy goodness to be given to you. Get salsas while you're waiting. One arriero is probably good for one hungry person. They're giant dripping tacos with various juicy meats. They're very filling and fresh tasting at the same time. They have tons of different salsa (try them all!). I personally ate one arriero and two tacos, but I just eat a lot; I'm pretty sure this was not normal. The mean is tender and juicy and extremely flavorful without being salty. ¡Regresaré!

Yelp
We heard about this area from a few people and decided to take a chance. Stopped at Arrieros Las Marineras because it had the longest line. Long lines = good food in my book. Ordered tacos, arrieros, volcan, and quesadilla for the family. It did not disappoint. We are on our second day in PV and will head back to Arrieros Las Marineras several more times before we leave. Great service, great food, and lots of fun.

Yelp
My favorite place to eat in Puerto Vallarta. Shrimp quesadilla all day , every day if possible!

Yelp
Absolutely not for me! I am a fan of street food and street tacos but not these or any of the tacos on this street. We had many recommendations from several taxi drivers but I did not like the quality of the meat and was scared to eat. I'm used to Tijuana and Guadalajara tacos and these were cheap quality tacos. I do not recommend.

Yelp
PV has a lot of great restaurants that cater to tourists but sometimes you have to get off the beaten path, do the Anthony Bourdain thing and find the best local eats around. We asked a couple of workers at the hotel, and they both recommended going to the food carts in Las Auroras behind Wal Mart and Sam's Club. The cab driver knew exactly what we were talking about, and dropped us off right here. The aroma of this place is amazing, and it was packed with locals enjoying arrieros, quesadillas and tacos. I'd never had an arriero before- it's like an open-face quesadilla with 2 kinds of meat, beans, onions, everything. We did like the locals and fixed em up with all of the available salsas and limes - we were in heaven. And it's super cheap - your cab ride and full dinner will cost you a lot less than going to any of the touristy spots.

Yelp
Get away from the tourist restaurants and treat yourself to some real Mexican food. Tortillas are fresh every day. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious . Located behind walmart, there are several stands around. Make sure you dont get mixed up when looking for this place! Los arrieros will put your tummy in heaven, one can fill a grown man Nothing beats inexpensive, authentic, and convenient food! Will definitely be coming back

Martín Rodrigo R.

Yelp
It is an incredible place. You just need to walk 2 blocks from galerías and you will taste those very Mexican "arrieros". It is worth it!

Yelp
Don't be put off that this street is in a residential area, behind Walmart. This is the real deal. We slowly made our rounds, looking at all the different stands offerings before we made our first choice. Undaunted we took a second stab, splitting a Cuban I torts. Next and final stop was the tiny open faced meat with pineapples. The way he carved the meat from the spit flicking a piece of pineapple was wonderful. We aren't really sure what we ate this evening, but the people were friendly, we felt safe and it was a great delicious experience. We stuck out a bit since we only had US dollars but it was all good. We think we spent $20 tops for everything.
