Yelp
PV has a lot of great restaurants that cater to tourists but sometimes you have to get off the beaten path, do the Anthony Bourdain thing and find the best local eats around. We asked a couple of workers at the hotel, and they both recommended going to the food carts in Las Auroras behind Wal Mart and Sam's Club. The cab driver knew exactly what we were talking about, and dropped us off right here.
The aroma of this place is amazing, and it was packed with locals enjoying arrieros, quesadillas and tacos. I'd never had an arriero before- it's like an open-face quesadilla with 2 kinds of meat, beans, onions, everything. We did like the locals and fixed em up with all of the available salsas and limes - we were in heaven. And it's super cheap - your cab ride and full dinner will cost you a lot less than going to any of the touristy spots.
