The birria tacos are amazing! They are the second best i have ever had, and I am always trying birria tacos. Cool atmosphere and polite staff. Definitely recommend.

Ordered from Uber eats and was given 0 salsa for the tacos even though I asked for red sauce for both orders of tacos so was forced to eat the tacos flavorless with no salsa at all. Then the guacamole came warm and brown. What the heck. 🤮 so that got thrown away. What a waste of money for a meal I couldn’t even enjoy cause I had to eat it dry.

told me over the phone 16oz beans costs $5. I came in and paid for two 16oz beans and received two 12 oz beans. although the lady agreed she told me 16oz over the phone for $5, she said it didn’t matter because “thafs just what the cost is”.. like what? lol maybe I wouldn’t have purchased 24oz of beans (actually more like 20 cause they’re not even full containers) for $11. I love tacos y mas normally and it’s not about the money for me.. it’s the facts of the situations. very poor guest service. won’t be back.

Fast service, fair prices, clean place, convenient location and delicious tacos! Parking is a little challenging since is a busy area but you might be able to park around the block or in the private parking lot. Between two people we ate 5 tacos and we ended super satisfied. My other friend order a burrito that it was so big that he couldn’t finish it. The business hours are until very late, I totally recommend this place.

Food was not good at all. How do you mess up tacos? My family and I ordered different things and neither one was good. Customer service was fine. A drunk girl walked in and she was cool.

That’s not kind of protein in tacos.. all I received is 3 tacos w fried “trompo” but I never knew they would have it fried like that.

Food and service was amazing. I ordered a chicken burrito combo and got a beef taco, rice and beans with it and a drink. The taco was packed with meat and that burrito! I couldn’t even finish it in one go, it was so much. I left the remaining half for my breakfast the next day. Really impressed with this place and would definitely return.

The barbacoa tacos were hot, fresh, and delicious. The self serve soda machine was a hot mess as it was put together wrong and sprayed me with soda. They have the wrong napkins in their napkin dispenser so it was very difficult to get any out of it. Parking can be a real pain in this area as there is not many parking spots in the front.

So I came here and asked the employee for a Chicken Fajita Taco platter. After 15 minutes of waiting they bring out my food and it's not what I ordered so I bring it to their attention. After paying $15 for the platter they say I have to pay another $5 for 3 chicken fajita tacos ( like I originally ordered). The platter is 12.99 chicken fajita tacos are 4.19. If they said this when I originally told them my order it be fine but now I'm here for a 40 minutes and spent 20 for 3 tacos man. Fuck off figure out your shit and listen. Idk how I could've been more clear. "Can I get the chicken fajita taco platter, 3 tacos on flour." Should've just gone to Whataburger or Pizzati.

It was alright. I appreciate they have a vegetarian taco, but it was just super plain and the tortilla was super oily. Nothing special. The location is spacious and clean. The staff was nice and helpful. As for coming back, there are so many Taco places in Dallas, I'd rather go somewhere else.

Great lunch spot on Cedar Springs. Great price for tacos $2.50 each and I got a burrito combo for $13. Burrito combo includes giant burrito, rice beans, hard shell taco and a fountain drink. I enjoyed a pastor and carnitas tacos with corn tortillas and green salsa. The green has a little kick but it's nice. The pastor was juicy and had great flavor and the carnitas had a nice grill taste without being dried out. Good place, great value. I'll definitely visit again

I asked for steak fajitas tacos and they gave me some sort of carnitas tacos. I brought it back and they said it is the premium steak fajitas? It doesn't distinguish on the menu. So I guess if they ask what kind of steak fajitas, the regular ones at every other Mexican restaurant is considered premium here. The taste was ok. Nothing special.

How hard is it to roll a burrito?! Que terrible! This is incredibly disappointing. Look at the hole in my burrito. They sent this out like this. Ya'll didn't feel the need to roll this again?

I went in today to grab a quick lunch. First of all, when you walk in the smell of sewer overwhelms you. It literally smells like backed up septic system. This is not their first time I have experienced a foul odor in this restaurant, but this is by far the worst. As I was standing there looking at the menu inside a completely empty restaurant, a employee came from the kitchen to the registers and placed a to go order in the counter and looked at me, didn't even acknowledge me, then turned around and walked back to the kitchen. What kind of customer service is that? Do better Tacos Y Mas. Appreciate and acknowledge your customers when they are in the store and get your plumbing situation handled. I'll be going to Lemmon Street Tacos from now on.

I've been here a couple of times and ordered their tacos to go (chicken and steak). Each time I've added guacamole and chips. The tacos are loaded, portion size is nice, and service is quick. I love the salsa bar they have as well (never been limited on how much I can get). Will definitely come back here for a quick bite to eat!

This place is trash now. Sorry not sorry. I use to come here at least 3 times a week, but now the food is horrible. The tortillas are half raw half cooked meaning they set them on the grill for 3 seconds. Then when they plate your food, the juices from the meat make the bottom of the taco soggy and slimey so it falls apart. I've ALWAYS gotten steak and chicken street tacos. I believe they either got new cooks, changed the recipes or changed the quality of meat they use. The steak is disgusting (now) it's dry as h*ll and taste like it's from a can (imagine my frustration with a soggy taco shell and dry ass meat, plz) the chicken for the most part has the same flavor but it also extremely dry. I came here a few months ago and had a terrible meal twice in the same week, so I gave them a break. And last night I gave them another chance. I spent $18 on 4 street tacos and an elote (their tacos also weren't always 2.99) and the meal pissed me off so bad I considered calling my bank but I knew for sure I was gonna write this review. Like I said, the tacos use to be bomb, I drive Uber and they're open late . They would get my money at the very least 3 times a week. But I will no longer be returning, spending $18 and not enjoying a single part of the meal is so frustrating. "/

It's a simple place, with tasty and affordable food. My favorites are the special/ premium tacos, and the tortilla soup.

My wife ordered from here for the first time tonight. The tacos were fresh, hot, and tasty, the chips are crisp, and the queso is some of the best you'll get anywhere! Little did I know at the time that she had ordered from here by mistake as she thought it was closer. The gentleman came over 15 miles on a brutally cold and icy January night and didn't say a thing about the distance, he simply delivered the food, said thank you, and left. Yes, we will most definitely eat here again, but I think we'll go see them next time!

Walked into the Tacos Y Mas - Oak Lawn location and the staff allowed a homeless man to come in the back and into the kitchen. While they were making my food, he was handing the staff his belongings (what looked to be a toilette bag). I couldn't tell if the staff was putting anything in the bags, but they took one from his hands. What kind of business lures homeless people into their kitchens while they are making food for paying customers? Completely unacceptable and will not be eating my food in fear that stuff was going on that I couldn't see. When I confronted the cashier about what was happening he just said that the "guy was asking them questions." I would rate this location zero stars if I could and will be reporting this incident further.

This place is on the expensive side for lunch, the guacamole had way too much lime in it, rice and beans were simple, could have stepped them up a bit. There just isn't anything here to make me want to come back.

Very middle of the road.customer service was fine my review is more the the price and food I had. I ordered street pollo tacos with guacamole and a drink, came to about 20 dollars. The guacamole was ok but I wouldn't order it again and the chicken in the street tacos were a bit under seasoned but pretty juicy. Overall, la salsa verde taqueria has better food and I think cheaper as well. I would probably not come but just because there is better for cheaper elsewhere!

Cool spot to go if you want to grab some good tacos. They have a nice area inside if you decide to dine in. Food comes out pretty quickly so you don't have to wait long if you are in a hurry.

so...who charges a random service fee for using a credit card at their restaurant? Tacos Y Mas does. Makes no sense! had to preface that. the food is good, don't get me wrong. If you want cheap, greasy, cheesy, quick Tex-Mex food, this is the place to go. I have go-to items that I lean towards every time. The chicken or veggie quesadillas, they're huge, come with beans and rice and a little side salad, the tortilla soup is pretty good and also the shrimp, chicken and beef street tacos. Not bad at all. One day I'm going to try their breakfast food. Reviews I've read say that it's pretty good, but everyone has a different palette. So we shall see!

No more salsa bar - limit is one small salsa per two tacos - if you want to order 4 tacos with 4 different salsas you must go somewhere else or order extra tacos you won't eat to get the salsas. No option to even pay for the extra salsa. You just don't get it. For that reason that's a fail.

This is my friend's favorite street taco joints, so I gave it a go. The cashier taking our order was super patient with our indecisive booties. Friend settled on a few tacos and I went with a big d breakfast burrito. I definitely had no regret and find it to be one of the most non-tex mex burritos I've had in Texas. Love it! Also love the sauces! They arranged their sauces by spice level so you have an idea of what your hankering with. Much appreciated! I do agree that transparency is important regarding the pricing, so star off for that

Go here if you want to wait 25 minutes for 2 tacos when they aren't even busy. I ordered breakfast tacos with meat, and they made my order wrong and didn't include any meat. When asking about it, I was scoffed off by the man running this place. They Also add a credit card charge and still expect a tip. Low quality location with poor customer service and wrong orders. Go somewhere else

I'm a little surprised by some of the negative reviews. While it's not a high end atmosphere, the food is very good and the portions are generous. It appears to be a family run business so I can tell that it's not quite as "efficient" as it should be. I waited about 2 mins for someone to come out front to take my order. I really liked the carnitas tacos and the brisket tacos. Please note that they both had a BBQ flavor to them. The chicken quesadilla was huge and very good. I really liked the salsa bar with approx 8 - 10 different options. They do charge a "fee" for using a credit card. I'm a little surprised by this but it is what it is. I believe mine was about .50¢ They offer good home made style food at a reasonably fair price. Give them a try.

Sneaky bastards are advertising one price on the menu and when you go and pay with credit card, they add a surcharge. I told them, had I known that, I'd have paid with cash and they looked at me like I was speaking Greek. Of course they wouldn't reverse my order and give me the option to pay in cash, because the cheap fuck just made an extra 10%. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for their shady business practices. Oh yeah, and the food was terrible as well. Nice work, guys!

This location 4123 cedar springs road, I brought my group into this location Yaxciri, greeted us their food is amazing all of them Blanca and Judit treated us like we were royalty in our own home you can't ask for better service. Their food is melt-in-your-mouth don't miss out on experiencing this place.

Soooo... the place has no charm but it is really good. Excellent tacos and cold beer. Looked like they might do a good job with breakfast. It was a better taco than the place up the street but you didn't want to hang out there. Pleasant and fast service. Clean and well lit. Just... not special enough for dine in but likely perfect to carry out. Carnitas was plentiful and juicy. Chips and salsa were regular.

I went for breakfast and upon walking in the restaurant I waited at the counter for about 5 minutes before anyone came to take my order or acknowledged my presence. I ordere d the chilaquiles and it was not good at all. Basically fried tortillas and can ebmnchilada sauce with a fried egg sitting on top. I highly recommend not getting it. I also ordered the cowboy taco and it was delicious. Also be prepared to be charged a fee if you use a card, which the guy at the counter did not tell me beforehand. I noticed afterwards and had to ask what it was for. They need to post signs or tell people there's a charge for using a card. It's 2018 and this is kind of a chain restaurant, there's no reason to charge people for using a card. Needless to say I won't be returning.

Came here looking for a bite to eat after a night of drinking and dancing. One of my friends said this place was good so we decided to check it out. I ordered 4 street tacos, 1 pastor, 1 steak, 1 fajita, and 1 carnitas all in a corn tortilla. All the tacos were pretty decent. They weren't as good as the ones we make at home or what you buy at an authentic taqueria, but they were definately better than a lot of other taco places I've been to. The tortillas were a little dry, the onion to cilantro ratio was way off. I do also wish that they had grilled onions. What I do like about this place is that they had a variety of salsa's to choose from. I tried the brava one and mango habanero. Both were good, but I think the spice scale is a bit off. Despite being on the one fire end, I would say they were more on the medium- hot since they were spicy, but it was a tolerable amount of spicy were you can keep eating it w/o your mouth being on fire. After finishing my food I was craving something sweet so I decided to buy a churro. The churro was probably the most disappointing part of my meal. It just tasted kinda old, and it probably was since we came to eat pretty late. Overall this place was ok. The tacos were good, and a good price and the service was good. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're looking for good authentic taco spot, but it gets the job done if craving tacos.

Wry rude and undertrained staff. Don't know how to operate the cashiers. I ordered my food and placed my number on the table. I went to the bathroom which was very dirty gross. When I came out of the bathroom some lady who couldn't communicate very well asked me what my number was and handed me a to go bag with my food. I asked what happened to my table and she just walked away. I ended up finding another table. However; the tacos I ordered were not even close to any street tacos I have ever had in Mexico and in The US. Very bad experience

This taco shop is right downstairs from my apartment. Everytime I go the staff is always super nice and friendly. They also just did some renovations so that's pretty cool. In terms of the tacos, they are the best tacos in the world, but they are okay for what they're worth. They stay open pretty late, so you can get you late night fix if need be. I want to try them for breakfast. I heard the breakfast burritos were bomb. All in all, it's just a regular taco shop to me.

I like the tacos and burritos here, but be advised! DO NOT get ANY of the salsas or condiments from the salsa bar!!! It sits there all day and there's no way to tell how old it is. I've been here for years and never had an issue until I started trying the salsas. The first time it gave me a terrible stomach ache, I thought it was a fluke or had to be something else I ate, but the second and third time, I've decided not to get any salsas at all, and boom no more stomach aches when I year here. Flavorful street tacos for a fair price! I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast taco and it did not disappoint! They've got an in-house salsa station with 6 or so options ranging from mild to hot! Will be back.

Warning: Despite a lengthy conversation with the owner about a year ago they are still charging an unadvertised, unannounced credit/debit card fee. If you've eaten here and didn't pay cash you've probably been subject to this fee and didn't know it. Why don't they advertise this freely? Because they know you would refuse if you knew it. Who doesn't love street tacos?? I mean come on. They are fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. Tonight was my first visit and I was kinda curious what experience I would enjoy. Cedar Springs is a cool trendy neighborhood here in Dallas, just 10 minutes from downtown near Oak Lawn. For a weekend, I really lucked out on a parking spot, found one right out front, that helps. There are maybe a dozen spots total, its a very petite parking lot. This place was clean, but quiet except for the staff whopping it up with big, funny laughs coming from their kitchen. Someone is having a blast. I started with the traditional and ordered the 3 street taco platter. My meal was $8 and change, but $10 with a tip. There are several homemade sauce, they have a photo display at the order, cashier area. From mild to hot hot Caliente call the fire department honey. Oh la la. Watch those peppers. Okay. Me. I tried the white girl gringa mild salsa which was a bit creamy with a smidge of heat and some nice chile flavor. Decent. I am kinda hungry and REALLY craving tacos. First bite. Oh, it left me kinda bummed. My taco was not crispy and the steak filling was chewy and kinda tough. Oh uhhh. 2nd taco was better. 3rd was decent. Rice and beans. Just ok. Overall, my food filled me up. Nothing blew my spanks off honey. Now, I feel I must spill the beans on my neighborhood. When you live in Oak Cliff, yeah OC, and can get phenomenal street tacos, several Taqueria places that D Magazine recognize as the best in the city. It's a tough thing to beat. So did I like their food at Taco y Mas. Yes, I did. Were they the best in Dallas? Close. But for Cedar Springs it's alright. Heck, they are open late and have happy hour $5.99 margaritas. Ole!! Go and enjoy.

Tacos came out quickly. The pastor was moist, but no flavor and the steak had good flavor but still kinda meh. I got the mango habanero salsa which was supposed to be on the hottest end, but was very mild. I asked for another red one on the mild side; more like a regular salsa flavor and it was tasty. I'd maybe try the breakfast tacos, but wasn't impressed overall.

The food was good but my issue was the customer service or lack there of. The older gentleman taking our orders took a very long time with each of us. We all got micheladas and they took a long time to come. Once they did the same gentleman spilled some of the michelada on my quesadilla. He brought over chips and queso. He later comes over and says FYI they weren't yours they were for the table beside you. He comes over again and says one of you need to pay for a michelada because I didn't ring one up. We all look confused and told him we all paid over $20. We asked him to bring over the receipts. He doesn't bring them over and says never mind. This establishment has great food but needs better employees!

Great street tacos! Great breakfast tacos. This is my late night place to dine or when I don't feel like cooking. I could eat here every day. Prices are reasonable. Classic street meats. Barbacoa is my favorite. Their meat is juicy not dry. They have an awesome salsa bar for every heat level. Chipotle creme! Taco Tuesday is a great deal! Any taco for $2. Breakfast tacos served all day.

Service is always friendly here. The food is good. Not anything out of the ordinary when you try to compare the food to other Tex-Mex establishments. I've tried this place a few times and they're fairly consistent. I've had occasions where the fish tacos didn't exactly taste "fresh". It's not exactly in the same league as places like Alberto's in California or Filiberto's in Arizona for breakfast burritos, but they're still good. The street tacos are ok. The specialty tacos here, at the moment of this review, run for $3.29 each. They're not huge, but nor are the particular small. Two or three tacos would likely make a reasonable for most individuals. It's good to note that on Tuesdays, the specialty tacos can be purchased for $2. - Fish Tacos: I generally stick to the Veracruz fish taco, which is a fried cod taco with lettuce, avocado, jack cheese, and topped with a chipotle salsa. I haven't been disappointed by these yet. The Mahi Mahi tacos are good as well, very meaty fish that melds well with some lime and salsa. - Shrimp Tacos: I've decided to begin staying away from the shrimp tacos. I've tried the fried and grilled variants. Shrimps are shrimpy... or small and the fried shrimp were pretty hard and overcooked on my orders. Lots of breading, very little shrimp. - All other Tacos: The beef, pork, and chicken tacos are all just okay. Outside of the fajita tacos, I would likely not care to order any others. They all begin tasting a bit similar and the quality of the beef, pork, and chicken just seem mid-tier or something bought from a discount mart. I'm not saying they're all bad, but you shouldn't expect an amazing taco. Worth the $2 price on Tuesdays. - Side Items: The queso isn't anything special. I like it, but others should know that their queso probably comes from your usual 10lb cans. Rice and beans are what many may usually expect from most Mexican establishments, nothing out of the ordinary.

I've been to a Tacos y Mas before. They have reasonable prices and good tacos. I love that they have a variety of salsas that fit any heat and spice level. They have great specials and pretty good tacos. The service is friendly and I like that they have early and late hours.
