Violence Breaks Out at Wieners Circle and McDonald’s Over Mask and Vax Policies | Eater Chicago

"This big black food truck, run by spouses Ivan Salinas and Jesica Astudillo, began as a garage operation and is now drawing praise in the western suburbs for its al pastor tacos. The tacos (priced around $2.75) feature marinated, red-tinged pork stacked on a trompo and charred over a high flame so the exterior crisps while the interior stays juicy; each taco is finished with slivers of pineapple that add a fresh pop of sweetness to the savory, slightly spicy meat, earning acclaim from a Tribune critic as among the best new al pastor offerings." - Aimee Levitt

Definitely not worth it The hot sauce is unbearably hot. It used to be really good but now you can’t even eat it because it’s so hot and so tiny you can finish the taco in one as you can see they don’t put enough meat.also very greasy this taco meat, the past used to be full of flavor. Definitely things have changed and not for the better. I don’t know if they’re just getting cheap with how they’re running things but it’s not working for them.

I’ve been going to this truck for over a year now. The owners and workers are super friendly. The star of the show are these tacos de al pastor con cilantro y cebolla y piña. These tacos have been consistently good everytime I have been as well as the service. 10/10 recommend. 1$ tacos Mondays

Tried them for the first time and they were a hit. FYI they are a cash only establishment. I had the pork and pineapple tacos which taste as great as it looks. I hope to try other items soon. Definitely a place I will be returning to.

Tasty mexican street food from a great looking food truck. They're typically parked on the northwest corner of Lake and First. Very nice folks, great salsa, tasty and cheesy torta de carne asada. They pass radishes through a mandolin, and it makes for a great torta condiment. Will be back.

My first visit, "Da 💣 Bomb"❗️I drive by here all the time, never thought to check em out. The food taste like when I visited 🇲🇽 Mexico; simple but full of flavor. I ordered 3 different tacos, all were mouth watering 🏆👍🏽

The service here is great, they are very kind. The food here is amazing. The alpastor is their specialty and it is delicious. On Mondays they have $1 alpastor tacos which is awesome. This is my go too spot when I want some birria it is some of the best I've had. Would definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed.

OMG! I love this place. I have been coming to get my tacos with these people ever since they started in their backyard. These are AUTHENTIC Tacos Al Pastor. The cut of the meat says it all. These are the only people who are able to make the original al pastor cut which is what these tacos are known for Everyone else is just diced meat or badly cut pieces. These are freaking amazing. Love em

Yelp
I had the Mulitas here. They were fantastic! Delicious flavor! I ordered the pastor, steak, and birria mulitas. They were all packed with melted white cheese, cilantro, and onion. You can literally see the cheese stretching. Each one was $4. I also ordered the birria soup. It was absolutely amazing! They were accompanied with sliced radish and limes. I was happy for once to get stopped by the train to try this food truck.

Yelp
I was REALLY excited to try this restaurant. I love supporting local businesses, as well as fellow Latin/o/a/x businesses. The food was ok, but the prices were not really for this area. This place MIGHT do better in a neighborhood like Wicker Park or Logan Square ? People in this area aren't likely to pay these prices. I went with my mom and she had the fish tacos, while I had the steak tacos. The tacos don't come with anything, no rice, beans, or any sides. I ordered a side of rice and we both just drank water. The bill came out to just over $50. We almost walked out before ordering but we didn't want to be rude, and hoped the food would be AMAZING, but it just wasn't. My mom said those were the most expensive tacos she had EVER eaten so sorry, but we will not be going back. I wish you the best of luck though !

Yelp
Taco's were fantastic, and reasonably priced! The salsa was creamy and delicious. I wished they took cards but Zelle is accepted and worked just fine.
