The Guide to the Best Dishes at Julia & Henry’s | Eater Miami

"I found Tacotomia to be one of the most popular stalls at Julia & Henry’s, serving a variety of classic tacos (steak, chicken, even chayote) with the heavy hitter being the pastor: tangy Veracruz-marinated pork with pineapple, salsa verde, onion, and cilantro. The tacos are hefty and not cheap—close to $20 for two after tax and tip—but feel fully stuffed and worthwhile; if you’re with a group, try the Machete, an extra-large crispy elongated tortilla with melted cheese and your choice of protein." - Olee Fowler

The vibes were off from the moment I walked up to their stand. The staff didn’t greet me at all and I actually had to greet them first. There was no friendliness or warmth. When I started ordering, I was told the meat I wanted wasn’t in stock. That happens, but what confused me was that nothing on the menu was marked as unavailable. The employee even had to ask her coworker to confirm they didn’t have it. It just felt unorganized, like they weren’t communicating or prepared. The food itself was another disappointment. For $5 per street taco, the portions were inconsistent. One taco had a decent amount of cilantro and onion, while the other had barely anything. It looked like everything was just thrown onto the plate with zero care or effort. I’ve had better tacos on the street for half the price. Overall, it was bare minimum service and quality. If you want food made with dedication and heart, I’d recommend going somewhere else.

Came back to Juliet & Harry completely disappointed and dissatisfied with food at Tacotonia. Wish I would have read reviews prior to ordering tacos birria was not even worth time nor money. Was not dipped and tortilla felt apart. Tacos al Pastor was no better. Definitely not coming back and should have paid attention when the girl at counter looked like didn’t even want to be there.

Google
Flawless food, huge huge portions. $40 and my wife and I have leftovers for 2 people's lunch tomorrow. First glance I thought 15$ for 2 tacos is a litttlenexpensive, then when they arrived they are huge, truly a m massive portion. Super fresh and amazing flavors well done.

This place was really good! The carne asada was really good. Karla was especially great. I have an allergy to corn and she accommodated me so nicely and warmly ! Only place in the stadium that I could even accommodate my allergy at. Amazing ! Thank you Karla and the cooks

Delicious Mexican food in downtown Miami! If you go, try the chilaquiles with pollo pibil — my favorite! “El Machete” is also very tasty, and I recommend adding the birria as your protein.

Loved the atmosphere of the food hall. So many great options to choose from. Glad my brother and I chose TACOTOMIA. They were some of the most delicious tacos I’ve ever had. Sadly, was just visiting town, otherwise I would want to eat here all the time!

If I could give this place zero stars I WOULD!! I am absolutely outraged at every aspect of this restaurant and would not recommend this place to anyone. I am a huge foodie and have ate at restaurants all across the United States. My friend and I decided to try a food center, Julia and Henry's, in downtown Miami that this restaurant is located inside. Her experience has made us never want to return. The service at Tacotomia was -100000000/10. Absolutely horrible!! I understand having a bad day, or being slightly impatient, but the way the workers treated my friend was horrifying. First when she tried to order and ask a question the lady looked at her crazy and spoke in a very derogatory tone. Then the lady refused to take her order (unsure if maybe she didn't understand her because my friend spoke english), but she forced another lady to take her order. Yet the first lady continued to gave her a dirty stare while she ordered. When she came back to pick up her order which was Birria tacos (not good by the way), they did not dip the tacos in consume, give her consume, or double layer the corn tortillas. I had to remind the lady to include the consume and she gave me so much attitude for asking for. it The prices here are outrageous $16 for two tacos, I am from Los Angeles and that is honestly robbery especially because of the terrible service. Both servers but especially the one had terrible etiquette. Overall extremely disappointed, but not surprised by this type of behavior. The tacos were not even good. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!!

Yelp
Found this food court(?) on accident while looking for somewhere to eat dinner with my family. My son and I ordered food from here and it was DELICIOUS! We ordered 2 orders of birria tacos and guac and chips. Guac was simple, just mashed avocado, salt, maybe lime and cilantro on top. Chips were sprinkled oled with a good amount of salt which I love! The tacos come with 3 per order. I think I may have inhaled them and didn't take a photo. They were small but with a generous amount of meat considering the size of tortilla. I ate all 3, my picky 8 year old also ate all 3. If you're very hungry, I suggest ordering more than an order for dinner but seriously worth it. The meat was clean, not fatty and the flavor of the meat was delicious It's located in what I can only describe as a high end stand alone food court. There was 2 levels of different food, ranging from Mexican, pizza/pasta, Asian, desserts and more. There was plenty of little seating areas and all the restaurants serve the food on actual plates/bowls and actual silverware is available. I don't know about parking, we stumbled on this place while walking. 10/10 recommend the birria tacos.

Yelp
You know what I really liked from here? The customer service provided by Mel! I really hope that's her name on the receipt which I will have attached to this review. We really wanted to get a birria quesadilla but Mel made a suggestion and because of her positive and radiant energy, she sold us on the machete with the birria and I'm so happy she did because it was SO WORTH it! She was there by herself too and she made it with such love. She did everything perfect and it was just so delicious and so glad she suggested it! The machete was just a massive quesadilla basically and PACKED with flavors! They also have a very spicy sauce that's kinda like wasabi sauce, not as strong flavor, and it keeps making you want more after you gasp for relief lol. This was so worth it and so delicious! It was like an elevated luxurious taco truck thx to Mel!

Yelp
Legit taco shop inside of Julia and Henry. Staff was super easy to talk with. But the star of the show were the carne asada tacos. My goodness! Amazing flavor, topped perfectly with an amazing sauce, cilantro, and onions. I wish I went back to buy more.

Yelp
The carne asada tacos were good. I wish the doubled the corn tortilla because it did start falling apart but the flavors were good
