Tadaima - Review - Cow Hollow - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The second location of Tadaima is in Cow Hollow (the original is in the Mission) and also serves matcha, onigiri, and Japanese sandwiches. Fillings include chicken karaage, tonkatsu with pineapple, egg salad, and strawberries and cream. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Julia Chen

Hands down the best matcha I’ve had on the West Coast. I’ve visited several ceremonial matcha cafes in SEA, PDX, SD, and LA. I have a very high caffeine tolerance and Tadaima easily wins here as they offer 6 grams of high grade matcha per drink whereas other places offer 4 grams and may not use the premium stuff. Their flavors are always on point ranging from original, strawberry, to pistachio. It’s been a good place for me to take first dates too. The staff plays it off even though they know me haha. I also really like their sandwiches! The fruit sandwiches are unique and always fresh. I also like their savory sandwiches so much that I even ordered catering for my company party recently and it was a tremendous success! I can’t wait to cater again.

Google
This tadaima location is my favorite! Upon entering the place, the interior looked lovely! The staffs were kind and the person at the register was helpful when asked for recommendations. We ended up getting the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cream and another one with Salted Cheese Cream. The matcha tasted strong and the cream tops complimented the matcha latte nicely. I will definitely be cominh back and try their sandos, onigiris and musubis. Please come try this out!!

Google
As a visitor from Oregon I’d definitely make my way back to eat the whole menu. Meant to record a video and review it but it looked so yummy I could not resist to wait. My partner and I tried the pork katsu, and egg salad sandwich along with the mango cream daily special, salmon & crab onigiri, and the musubi. Everything was perfect and made in a timely manner, was even reposted on their page. Next time will def do a video food review!

Google
You have to get the Hojicha Latte! Sooooo good. I usually order the Iced Hojicha Latte with oatmilk. I like this place because it’s clean & the food & drinks come out so fast. Can we just talk about their sandwiches? My favorite is the shrimp tempura Sando, they didn’t skimp on the shrimp. Definitely my go to spot for a quick bite! The staff are very efficient.

Google
I’ve been seeing this place all over my feed, so I finally tried it. The Matcha with strawberry cream was amazing, the cream tasted like melted Häagen-Dazs and paired perfectly with the bold matcha. The Chicken Katsu Sando was juicy, crispy, and the mustard tied it all together. When we went, there was a bit of a line. Oddly, it seemed like a friend of one of the owners cut ahead of the people in front of us and got to place their order first, which was a little strange but overall, the food and drinks made the visit worth it.

Google
My favorite matcha cafe in the city. I always go there to get matcha and sweet sandos. Strawberry sando is the best! I bought mango and strawberry sandos to Las Vegas once for my friends. They all loved it! I would say its the best so far!

Google
Really busy and popular spot in the Marina District and I understand why. I got the strawberry matcha and it was everything you’d want from a strawberry matcha! Their menu is also manageable, and not too overstimulating. One thing I dislike, however, is their early closing time.

Google
Fishkatsu: Presentation is 5/5. Taste is mid. (I smelled the fishy smell which means the fish was not fresh. I just came back from Japan, so I can tell the difference). Iced matcha with pistachio cream: taste is as expected, Gen Z would love this.

Yelp
This place was amazing!! Girl at order was so nice and made good suggestions. The chicken sandwich was the best!! So fresh and filling. I also tried the egg but it wasn't AS good as the chicken one. The matcha was soo fresh good and creamy. I thought u wouldnt be able to sleep but i did. I would def be back for more matcha and sandwiches!!

Yelp
Came here on the weekend to catch up with a girlfriend and heard so much about this place! I got their normal matcha latte, and i enjoyed it! I could actually taste the matcha and it wasn't too milky. We got lucky to grab a seat, but it was super busy when we went. Parking is also probably the worst thing about this location. Service was pretty quick. Nothing much to note there. Also dog friendly!

Yelp
finally tried tadaima after hearing about their matcha being some of the best in the bay area! i came on a saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. there are indoor tables to sit down. // iced matcha latte with pistachio foam (less sweet) $7.75 // the matcha was pretty good. i thought it would be sweeter (hence my adjustment) but it actually wasn't sweet. i could probably stick to regular sweetness next time. i liked the foam but it tasted more like cheese foam than pistachio and it took up almost 1/3 of the cup :( ! i wish i got less foam. id try the normal latte next time. // chicken sando $16 // this was yummy! i liked the combination of the soft bread, chicken katsu, and it seemed to be some pickles or mustard. the flavors went well together. overall a little on the pricier side but still enjoyable.

Yelp
I should have gotten hot matcha instead of cold! We went in December and man I am telling you! Get the hot matcha!! We had a short trip so we didn't want to just sit inside the place, so we were talking around the neighborhood. And it was so cold! So yeah if you are not planning to stay inside and it's during winter season, def get a hot drink. I got a strawberry matcha and omg it's so yummy! It's like the perfect matcha green with strawberry cream on top. It's not the strawberry jam that kind of makes the whole drink too sweet and can't eat the strawberry, they paired each other so perfectly! I will definitely go back to try other ones!

Yelp
Tadaima is a gem in Cow Hollow! Stopped by for a quick lunch and ended up staying longer than planned because everything was so good. The chicken karaage sando is incredible - crispy, juicy chicken on the softest pillowy bread you can imagine. I also tried their matcha latte with strawberry cream, which was beautifully presented and had a smooth, earthy flavor without being too sweet. They have a lot of musubis but I thought those were just ok and a little over priced. Had to get one for the novelty though.

Yelp
Pricey but tasty and unique matcha shop! Love the unique flavors including pistachio cream, dirty matcha latte, and black sesame latte. Drinks are around 7+ dollars. Quick service and has bathroom you can borrow. Lots of open seatings. No wifi.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I ordered off the uber eats app as I had credit, so my experience is limited. We ordered a strawberry matcha and a matcha with salted cream top. I had the latter. I didn't get a chance to drink my drink that was delivered during the evening until the next morning , however it was still really well mixed with no clumps. Matcha flavor is moderately strong and not overly sweet like some other matcha shops, and the salted cream top was enough for a little savory flavor profile. Would like to get it again but the price is a bit steep - $7.75 on the app per drink.

Yelp
Yummy spot in the area! I loved the pistachio matcha. Rich in flavor! Parking lot is not available, but there is street parking. Service was great and quick!

Yelp
Came to Tadaima for a redemption matcha and had a much needed, good quality matcha! Came here at around 1:45, and there was no seating inside, but luckily we only got matchas so we took them to go. We ordered both a hot and iced matcha latte, and really appreciated that they offered coconut milk as most places don't. We were told the regular matcha latte comes with 3 pumps of simple syrup, so I asked for 1.5 instead. I also asked to do an extra matcha shot, and was told they already put a double matcha shot in there which is great to hear! There was a great matcha flavor, but as someone who enjoys really strong matcha, I think it could've used a taaaaaad bit more. The coconut milk added a slight sweetness to it, so I'm glad I adjusted the sweetness! If you're in the area, I'd recommend Tadaima over others nearby!

Yelp
The matcha hype is real! The strawberry matcha was creamy, just the right amount of matcha flavor, and not too sweet. It was the perfect sweet treat. I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken katsu sandwich. The bread was light and fluffy, and the chicken was juicy and made each bite satisfying. I would probably come back to try the fish one!

Yelp
I like that here you can find street parking pretty easily. Came here at 2PM on a Tuesday. It's a small space with a few tables as well. They were all taken but definitely next time would chill here to try out their food. There was just a few people before us and there was 1 cashier, but line was moving quite fast! We got 2 matcha lattes with pistachio cream & 1 matcha latte with strawberry cream. From ordering to getting our drinks within 10 mins :) The pistachio cream was yummy and it was thicker than compared to the strawberry cream. The strawberry cream had good flavor as well. Next time I want to try their regular matcha latte or the one with salted cheese

Yelp
100000/10!!! I'm still thinking about this spot WOW. Strawberry cream matcha & regular matcha latte 10/10 Strawberry sando 10/10 Karaage sando 10/10 Potato egg salad 10/10 I will say it's on the pricier side but i don't even care I enjoyed everything I had Service was nice, inside is cute & the bathroom is cute too hahaha

Yelp
Matcha was super good and strong with the perfect amount of sweetness. I got the regular matcha latte with matcha foam and my mom got the matcha with strawberry cream. Great for grabbing a drink to walk around with at the presidio tunnel tops!

Yelp
Ordered online and waited for about 20 mins for our food and drinks. We tried the strawberry matcha latte and pistachio matcha latte and they were both so good. I liked the strawberry one a bit more. We also tried the katsu sando and strawberry sando. The bread on the katsu sando was really soft and the katsu was flavorful just not crispy. The strawberry sando was alright, the bread wasn't as soft as the katsu sando. I wouldn't get this next time. I would be back just for their matcha lattes.

Yelp
My love for Uji matcha green tea drinks and desserts had expanded to Cow Hollow. Used to be 6 Tables in Union St, now replaced by Tadaima. The same Tadaima in the middle of Mission District that serves matcha drinks, Onigilly rice balls, and a pair of sandos, looked better than ever in Cow Hollow and won't vanish as long as matcha tea lovers have fallen in love with a nifty green tea café. Let see; I tried a pair of matcha red bean sandos, so I settled for a pair of shrimp tempura sandos (one for me and one for my brother when I came back home) and a matcha pistachio latte. Green tea and pistachio, two different shades of green in one, quite a bold new experience. I'm glad Tadaima had expanded their menu options so that I get to choose sandos that are worth my palate. The quality of every sando and other Japanese snacks are good. I'll be waiting to find out where Tadaima will set up its third location just like Delah Coffee.

Yelp
There was an event when I visited. There was a DJ and the store was packed! Despite the crowd, the long line moved quick. I ordered within 15 mins and got my order within 5 mins. I only ordered a strawberry cream matcha. The matcha was creamy, flavorful, but a bit grainy. The strawberry cream was a bit light in flavor. Overall, I enjoyed the drink. The area can be difficult to park so its unlikely that I go out of my way for it.

Yelp
On a quest to find the strongest matcha latte and the strawberry cream matcha here lands somewhere in the middle. I was shocked to see matcha being squirted out from condiment bottles and my friend said she saw the staff blending the matcha in the back. Generally creams are the foam cream on top but their strawberry cream is liquid and completely disappeared in the drink when I checked on my order. It would taste a lot better as a heavy cream foam top so the strawberry flavor doesn't get drowned in the matcha.
google avatar

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
ALWAYS a go-to for a matcha latte when I'm in the city. I'd put Tadaima in my top 2. I usually don't get any cream unless I'm feeling a heavier drink, so I default to a standard iced matcha latte and it still hits every time: strong matcha flavor, reasonably sweet, and no bitter aftertaste. I've also tried sips of the strawberry cream + salted cheese cream matcha lattes and both were good if you like those flavors because the matcha flavor is still present.

Yelp
Modern & Clean environment but limited seating so it can get busy very fast. I went on Labor Day & was lucky to land a parking spot down the street. Orders: Matcha Latte-robust matcha powder that are this drink a delight. Matcha Strawberry Latte- consisted of the same quality matcha powder as in the matcha Latte but with strawberry preserves. When stirred this drink was well curated. Will have to try their food menu next time I visit.

Yelp
Finally got around to trying Tadaima! I never made it out to their location in the Mission District, simply because I don't frequent that neighborhood as often, and so I was happy to learn that they are now also in the Marina. (I'm sad that the establishment they took over, 7 Tables, is gone, but such is life.) I came on a weekday and shared a strawberry matcha latte and a fruit sando. Both were good, but not amazing. The drink was good for the first few sips, but I realized that I liked the strawberry portion--the matcha part was actually a bit too bitter for my personal preference. (For what it's worth, I've also been making my own matcha at home and it's sort of made it hard for me to appreciate cafe matcha drinks because I've become pickier ) Overall, I'm happy that I tried this place and that I didn't wait in line for hours for it. I would return if I was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Yelp
I can't say much since I only tried one thing here but from the one thing I've tried it was so good. I got the chicken filet karage sando. It was super fresh and cooked to perfection. The bread was super fluffy and it was surprisingly pretty big. The ratio of everything was perfect and it all worked together super well. I definitely have to come back and try the other stuff when I'm back in San Francisco! The place was super cute inside but wish it was a little cooler. I know it's a little hotter because of the California summer but I got used to it after 5-10 min. If you're looking for a quick bite but want something considerably bigger than a snack, definitely try this place out
google avatar

Jasmine W.

Yelp
I came here for lunch on a weekend. I got an iced matcha latte and tonkotsu with pineapple sando. The food was solid, but the matcha is more of a stand out than the food. Overall, the food and experience was not bad. The service was really quick, which was good, but there is not a lot of seating space inside. We had to wait for people to leave in order for seats to open up. The seats are kind of tight, but not the worst. This place is worth a try, especially for their matcha, but if I was not in the area, I probably would not go out of my way to go get it.

Yelp
Love love love!!! I was apprehensive given the low and mixed Yelp rating but decided to give it a try nevertheless; so glad I did!! It's one of the best strawberry matchas I've had - where I can truly taste the matcha, strawberry and light creaminess in harmony!! I noticed some reviewers stated they couldn't taste the strawberry or matcha and some said it was too sweet so I ordered straight iced matcha, no sweetness and added strawberry cream foam - for me, it was perfect! Admittedly, I'm pretty snobby about my matcha and prefer it single cultivar, straight up. I hate it when it's drowned in milk, syrup or preserves and I cry a little for the high grade matcha that should have been enjoyed without superficial pageantry - but that's risky when the quality of the matcha is uncertain. The matcha quality tasted great so I'm looking forward to trying it neat next time. I also got the potato salad egg sandwich - YUMMMMMMMM!! Very good!! Reminded me of Japan! The bread was a little dry though (my order was around 2pm on Saturday). The line up was minimal, service was fast. Shop is smallish with some seating. Parking is marina-street so good luck and plan ahead. No complaints, adding this to my regular Marina stop for sure! Loved it!!

Mary Bryan O.

Yelp
I've been so excited to try their Japanese milk bread sandos! I ordered the chicken karaage but I think they accidentally gave me the fish. It was still very delicious so I wasn't upset at all. I definitely want to come back and try one of their sweet options. I also tried their strawberry cream matcha with coconut milk- it was yummy but I'd probs ask for no syrup pumps moving forward.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this spot because I've seen so many people talk about it. To me, the drink was just okay. The service was friendly. Parking on Union street is always a little tricky so be prepared to look for parking. They have a couple seats and tables on the inside. I ordered the strawberry matcha and I found the strawberry flavor to be really lacking. The foam on top is good but the flavor doesn't last long. The matcha itself wasn't very strong in my opinion. I want to give this place another try in the future. Maybe I'll try a different matcha.
google avatar

Carson M.

Yelp
Stopped by at 11am on a Saturday and then came back again later at 1pm to try another drink. Both times there was almost no one in line. Waited around 5 minutes for our drinks. There are maybe 5-6 tables inside and some window stools. The first time I visited, I tried the Hojicha latte. It was tasty! It was not overly sweet, especially if you let the ice melt. It reminded me of the Hojicha you can get in LA, or Maruwu Seicha. The second time, my wife got the Matcha Latte with Strawberry Cream. This was also really good. The strawberry was prominent, while you can still taste the matcha. It tasted similar to a Pocky but not overly sweet at all.
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
Just tried this place out for the first time recently and can now say that this place is now my new fav matcha spot. Too bad it's an hour away from me otherwise I'd be here at least once a week hehe, but the strawberry cream matcha latte was life changing! The mango cream sando was also saurrr yummylicious :) Overall this place gets 10 BIG BOOMS GO TRY IT YALL!!!

Yelp
Came in today for the first time around 12:00pm. Staff was very nice and cafe itself is cute + clean! I tried the strawberry matcha with oat milk and it lived up to the hype. I got the salmon and beef onigiris to eat and this is where the problem comes from. I eat the beef onigiri and start to feel my throat start to close, I realized I was getting an allergic reaction and immediately leave. But I'm not allergic to anything I ordered? I called and they let me know it was cross contamination. The mold they used was also used with crab. (Which is what I'm DEADLY ALLERGIC to) I was freaking out because I was hospitalized earlier this year because of anaphylaxis from cross contamination of shellfish. I took my medication and also took the proper precautions to avoid the reaction from getting worse or going to the hospital again. But even as I'm writing this, I still feel horrible. For anyone planning to go here, I recommend that if you have any shellfish allergies to not get any food for your safety! But drinks should be fine! And for management, please make a sign or let costumers know about the cross contamination that's going on to prevent this happening to someone else.

Yelp
Get ready for a long line! Including waiting in line and got my drink, it probably took around 10-15mins. It was totally worth it though! I wanted to try their Hojicha Latte with salted cheese. I usually prefer to get Hojicha latte over matcha due to my standards for matcha. The Hojicha latte comes with whole milk so I changed it to oatmilk for my own preference. I had it less sweet and less ice. This made my drink pretty strong and not sweet if anyone prefers that. The hojicha was pretty strong itself so I couldn't really taste the salted cheese as much but there was a hint there after a few sips. A saw a lot of people order matcha latte so I might give it a try next time I go back. I haven't had a chance to try their snacks too so I will definitely try next time! Theres a few tables and seats in there and a few out doors so it can get pack while waiting for your order.

Yelp
Delicious tea and espresso drinks in a cute, clean environment. Ample, comfortable seating. The matcha latte is exceptional.

Yelp
I had high expectations for Tadaima but thought it was just okay. As a matcha enthusiast, I thought it was good for what it is but nothing outstanding. Much similar matcha in the South Bay as well. I got the matcha latte with strawberry cream and it was a solid 3.5/5. Loved the creamy aspect of the strawberry cream with the matcha but after the initial first few sips, it doesn't mix well nor does it taste the best as the matcha latte tastes overly bitter. Not sure how to explain but the matcha was grainy and extremely bitter and the cream did not mix well so it just tasted overall bad after the initial few sips. I also got the tonkatsu with pineapple sando and it was a 3.5/5 for me. The tonkatsu itself had rough pieces and the pineapple was cut too thick for my liking. Surprisingly was dry despite the tonkatsu sauce. Overall, I think personally this place is overhyped. It was still a nice experience and worth it as there wasn't a line when I went but not worth the trip or standing in line for me personally.

Yelp
7/19/25 - I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and one just opened in the Marina! I didn't enjoy the Kinako Latte as much as I thought since I think it was too much peanut powder flavor to me. I do like Kinako, but I'm small doses. I'll try the matcha drinks next time! The Shrimp Sando was so good omg! We saved it to eat after a concert we went to and it was still as amazing as when we first bought it! The sauce and seasoning were really amazing! One thing my boyfriend and I agreed on is that they are a bit pricey, but we still enjoyed the Sando and he loved his strawberry matcha drink!

Yelp
Tadaima is matcha heaven! I got the matcha latte with strawberry cream, and wow -- it was perfection in a cup. The matcha was rich and earthy without being bitter, and the strawberry cream added this dreamy sweetness that balanced everything out beautifully. The presentation was gorgeous -- layered so perfectly that I almost didn't want to stir it (but I did, and it tasted even better!). You can tell they use high-quality matcha, and the flavor really shines. The shop itself has such a cozy, modern vibe -- clean lines, warm lighting, and a calm energy that makes you want to stay and sip slowly. The staff was friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about what they serve. If you love matcha or just want a drink that's as Instagram-worthy as it is delicious, Tadaima is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

Yelp
I wanted to like Tadaima so much but was unfortunately disappointed :( We were very excited for the fruit sando and I wanted to try a matcha. Will start off with the positive: the salted cream matcha was amazing, very strong matcha and the cream cuts the strength very well! Will definitely be back for that! The disappointing one: the fruit sando, it was way too much cream for very little fruit. I'm glad we got the assorted fruit one for some variety in fruit but would've liked a lot more fruit than cream. Maybe next time :(

Yelp
Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. The line to order was short though! I didn't see a menu anywhere except for right when you order. After ordering, there wasn't really a place to wait so you have to kind of awkwardly stand around. Luckily, our drinks came out pretty quickly. I ordered the matcha with pistachio cream. I mixed it and it was very pistachio forward. Unfortunately, the drink itself was grainy. Still good tasting matcha but this would not be the first place I would go to.

Yelp
party of 2, came around noon on a sunday, few tables left available for dine-in but it definitely filled up fast shortly after. the crowds come in waves so if you get lucky with timing, you might be able to snag a seat. - matcha with strawberry cream top: the matcha itself is not as aromatic or flavorful as other places (ie. i wouldn't bet on their matcha if that's what you're looking for) but it is decent and an enjoyable treat for yourself. the strawberry cream top however was truly disappointing. imagine a sort of melting layer of whipped cream on hot chocolate -- it looked like that. it felt lacking in presentation & flavor, i didn't get much strawberry notes at all even after mixing it - the sandos are cute and presented so nicely!! the strawberry cream sando (cold) was a great blend between sweet and the slight "tang" from the fruit. i was pleasantly surprised to see that they didn't skimp on the fruit. it looks like there's only the 3 at the top but they actually sliced a few more throughout the sando. - the tonkatsu pineapple sando (warm) was a perfect balance in flavor and texture. the pineapple cuts through the savory of the tonkatsu & the purple cabbage adds a nice crunch in every bite. - the onigiris were the STAR of the show (in my opinion). to be honest i expected the "fillings" to be inside the rice ball but they present it as a topping. either way, it's beautifully made and as long as you eat it while it's still warm, there's no going wrong. the yuzu salmon was just a tad dry but packed with flavor & the miso crab was 10/10 i went back and ordered a second one. we also tried the chicken curry which was a bit more runny to have as a topping. NOTE: the onigiris come with 2 in each order, you can mix & match but you can't just order one alone.

Yelp
I'm never usually in this area, so when I realized I was dropping off my foster to someone here, I said I must go on a foodie adventure! Sadly this place was MEH. I ordered shrimp tempura sando - this was MEH, it was dry, could have definitely used more sauce. that's why I'm surprised less sauce was an option. nothing special. onigiris - snow crab and yuzu salmon. this was pretty tasty, well filled and plump! I didn't order any drinks this time around. I would give them another try as a friend said to try their chicken karaage sando. It wasn't busy around 1p on a friday surprisingly. Kinda funny, when you pick up an order you already paid for online, they need a signature and there's a line for additional tip!

Yelp
Had a laughable, peak Marina prentiousness experience here. Ordered a Strawberry cream top matcha and was told in a snotty tone by the white girl behind the counter that I should drink my drink as is when I asked for a straw or a stirrer. Take a look at my photo. With cream top boba, one suggested way of drinking is by sipping so you get cream and drink HOWEVER when you haven't mixed my matcha shot with the milk, this method of drinking my drink makes no sense. B/c im going to get weird uneven layers of matcha and milk, like seriously wtf. --- Anyways if youre going to whitesplain boba to me, please educate your staff properly. Also dont tell me how to drink my drink, its nice when different methods of enjoying things from other cultures are explained in a nice manner but not when its being appropriated to gate keep or belittle... Tadaima is what you say when you've arrived home in Japanese, I DEFINITELY did not feel at home. -- Also the matcha was okay. Not awful but slightly oxidized. And the strawberry cream top was too sweet. They also normally add 3 pumps of sugar syrup which is too much so def a place for white people.

Yelp
came during this location's opening week with 15% off. I loved 6 tables and wish they kept that instead, since tadaima already has a mission location we tried the hojicha latte w salted cheese cream ($7.25) and matcha latte w strawberry cream ($7.50), and while I did like the strength of the hojicha and matcha, I thought they were too sweet, even after asking for half sweet for both drinks--I can't imagine how sweet they would be full sweetness :o
google avatar

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
Tadaima is a hidden gem in the Marina and totally blew me away. I'm still thinking about the matcha--truly the best I've ever had. Smooth, rich, not too bitter, and frothed to perfection. We tried two onigillys (crab and curry), both super flavorful with great texture. For sandwiches, we got the shio fish and katsu--both were fresh, well-balanced, and satisfying without feeling heavy. The space is minimal and calming, and service was friendly and quick. Can't wait to come back for another matcha fix and work my way through the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Tried this spot as i was in the SF area and saw good reviews. I went close to 5 PM so there was no wait but it was a full house inside. got my drink pretty quick first of all their matcha is premade and squeezed out from a bottle instead of whisked on the spot. i was rlly disappointed when i got my drink. it was the grainiest matcha i've purchased from a cafe and it was also on the milkier side. i barely finished half of it and couldn't drink it anymore. not sure if the other location is better

Yelp
Expect long lines but worth it! I'm a big fan of the sandwiches! I always order the chicken katsu sandwich - which is delicious. Hearty, chicken stays fresh and crispy instead of soggy, and right amount of creamy + spice. The fruit and cream sando is also great - fresh juicy fruit and not too sweet. I wouldn't recommend the onigilly though - too dry and not warm

Yelp
Came here over the weekend and it was a cute spot to try out. I wasn't a huge fan of the matcha really reminded me of something I can find at Starbucks. They already have pre mixed matcha that just pour over milk and ice. The service was okay nothing special than any other cafe. Not understanding the hype of the place.

Yelp
Excellent matcha, I ordered the strawberry cream matcha. I do wish they added more strawberry cream, it was a bit sparse, and the strawberry flavor didn't come through as much. Service is excellent and quick, and the matcha tasted high quality. Looking forward to trying their sandwiches next time, the menu looks enticing!

Yelp
I had high expectations before coming in since it was all over social media, so I knew I had to give it a try. It's located on Union St and is one my favorite locations in the city due to the number of cool shops and restaurants. It's very spacious inside with lots of tables available but majority of them were already taken when we arrived just close to noon on a Thursday. My friend and I both ordered a Matcha Latte with Strawberry Cream and it was a bit disappointing. We noticed that the cream sinked to the bottom, and I could taste the matcha powder after every sip. While I was waiting for my order, I noticed that the barista used the blender to mix the matcha powder with the water, instead of using a frother. It was then poured into a squirt bottle. That was something new that I have never seen before and didn't like. Matcha powder needs to be frothed/whisked in my opinion. I'm sad to say that I will not be coming back for their matchas, especially since the drink was almost $9. I do expect the drink to be higher quality if I am paying that much. I hope they can work on changing their method of making drinks for future customers.

Yelp
Food Rating: 8 Price: 8 Ambiance/Service: 10 Overall Rating: 8.5 Iced Matcha Latte w/ Strawberry Cream ($7.50) Rating (9.5/10) The matcha was pretty close to perfect. The matcha was rich and well-balanced, with only a slight grainy texture. The strawberry cream was delicious, and not too sweet. Strawberry & Cream Sando ($12.00) Rating (6/10) Looks delicious but the taste didn't quite match the look. The strawberries were super fresh, but the bread was too thick and bland Onigiri (2 pc minimum - $6.00 / piece) - Yuzu Salmon - Miso Snow Crab Rating (8/10) The onigiris were well made, and held together perfectly. I personally liked the yuzu salmon one better and thought the miso snow crab was a bit bland. [don't think they have WiFi but I saw a few plugs for laptop charging]

Yelp
I saw this place on social media and planned to give it a try when I was in SF. I ordered the original Matcha Latte, Strawberry Sando, and an Unagi Avocado Egg rice ball. It was a cute store with friendly vibes. The service was quick as the drink came out first. The taste was nicely balanced between sweetness and bitterness. We enjoyed it after a day of walking that I decided to get another drink. This time, we tried the Matcha with strawberry foam. The freeze-dried strawberry bits were a nice touch. The rice ball was warm and tasty, and the sando was great to have afterward. It was super filling--we couldn't even finish it between the two of us. I'll definitely be back when I have the chance!

Yelp
Came here during their soft opening on Sunday. This was my second time at Tadaima, the first being at their other location. I loved it the first time and this time was no different! I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte this time, and it was delicious. They definitely don't skimp out on the matcha here. It was strong, and I could definitely taste the matcha. I love when I can taste the matcha more than the milk. Staff was very friendly. Maybe because it was their soft opening but there was no wait, which I was pleasantly surprised by. We ordered and got our drinks within 5 minutes. Super quick. This location is bigger than the other one with more tables and chairs, so it's a good spot to sit, hang out, and enjoy.

Yelp
I love the musubi at Tadaima. They are premade and individually wrapped, which makes them perfect if you are on the go. They might look small at first, but each one has a good amount of rice and meat. Two are enough for a filling lunch. Between the two sandwiches, I prefer the Chicken Filet Karaage Sando over the Tonkatsu with Pineapple Sando. The sauce on the chicken sandwich pairs perfectly with the crispy chicken and lettuce. The pineapple slices on the Tonkatsu Sando were a bit too large, making it hard to bite, and the Tonkatsu itself was a little tough. The Mix Fruit and Cream Sweet Sando was fun to try once, but I probably would not order it again. Lastly, I must say that their matcha latte was excellent. It was creamy, well-balanced, and made with high-quality matcha. The dining area is simple without much decor. Service could be better, but since it is more of a café setup, you do not need much interaction with the staff anyway.
