I was in the area and had to give this a try. It's all about standards. The first night we came, we went to order two things for dinner, and they were both out of those items. In turn, I ordered a grilled chicken cobb salad. I also ordered double eggs, french onion, and chicken club. When the French onion came, there was no broth in it, leaving me unable to consume any of it. I showed it to the server, and he agreed. The deviled eggs were eeeehhhh, and there was nothing special about them. The grilled chicken avocado club was good. The server was hit or miss for us; sometimes, he would be on top of us, catering to our needs, but then other times, he would completely disappear for a while, leaving drinks empty and us wanting additional items.
The following day, we returned with an additional group of business people. When we came in on Friday night, we were seated and waited over 18 minutes for any form of attention from a server. This is all while management walked past our table, servers, and hostess countless times. Finally, we asked management if we could get a server for our table. Management would have apologized and got us at least started in on drinks, but they did not. We waited another 3 minutes and 37 seconds for a server to come to the table. Once the server got there, the service was on point.
The roast beef sandwich was not that amazing, and the fish and chips had a heavy batter on them. However, the grilled chicken club was still good.
When the owner/management responds, revisit us, and it will be different. We did it twice, and the service was the same subpar and even worse on the second experience!
Everyone missed the mark for a place that is supposed to uphold standards, from the hostess to the server to the management. Is the vibe inviting on the inside? It is. But the service from the tables and management needs better standards/oversight!
