Google
It's edible, mediocre pizza. For a meal at Newark airport, good luck finding better value per volume. $5+tax for a big slice of cheese. The dough was sub-parr but not awful, and fully cooked. It could use more tomato sauce, and the cheese was not the best quality, but it's clear you're not going to get a gourmet slice when you order. I ordered at 11:30am and the pizzas were rather fresh out of the oven (they heat it up regardless). I didn't interact with the staff, so I cannot attest to their professionalism. 2/5 stars for the pizza, 4/5 stars for the price and speed.

Google
Easy operating kiosk to place order and pay. Guy was nice and held down the fort alone. Can't escape the airport prices and ordered an expensive $30 plain pie. They got me. The pizza was hot, but lacked any tomato sauce, like eating cheese bread. You get what you get at the airport.

Google
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Truly the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. I watched the employee and it took him 10 minutes to acknowledge my order before he put it in the oven. There was another employee standing in front to direct people to order through the QR code. After a 15 minute total wait, my egg and cheese Stromboli didn’t even have cheese on it.

Giulia Zanella

Google
I think this is the worst pizza I've ever had. It was so extremely expensive for such a tiny slice. It was so dry, crunchy, and flavorless. Nothing like a New York Pizza. Very sad.

Rudy Valenta

Google
Good value pizza place in the airport. I recommend getting the squares over the slices. Ask for a box if on the go. Otherwise they serve it on a paper plate

Google
The most confusing time I’ve ever ordered pizza in my life. I go to a kiosk at the pizza counter to order, then I go to another station to pay. And then I have to go back to collect my pizza which was average at best. If you’re hungry it’ll work and it’s the cheapest meal at this airport.

Marshall Sklar (Capt. Marshall)

Google
Pizza was surprisingly very good. It was very expensive $8 per slice but that’s to be expected in an airport.

Jessica Curcio

Google
Hartman (sorry if spelt wrong) was very helpful with assisting me in ordering! He killed it during the morning breakfast rush!

Yelp
I had a two hour layover here at Newark International and was looking for something quick to eat. Tagliare offers pizza by the slice or you can order a whole pie. They bake pizzas throughout the day and then showcase them in a display case. Tagliare is located in Terminal C in the food court area. Because this is airport food, I expected a slice to be a little pricey and not going to complain too much about that. I ordered a regular slice and a Sicilian slice (a thick square slice). There was nothing fancy about my pizza. It satisfied my hunger and I moved on to my next destination. Customer service was very mediocre.
google avatar

Yelp
I had low expectations for airport pizza and they were met. I feel like it's a missed opportunity though: their stove is clearly not hot enough, the pizza has good ingredients and just needs to be revived properly. I think me using the air fryer at home works way better than their giant-but-ineffective oven. Oh well.

Joseph L.

Yelp
Walked up on a Monday morning and asked if there were any gluten free items. The worker looked at me and turned away without answering. I asked if that was a "no" and she continued to ignore me. Would not have purchased anything after that, regardless of the answer.
google avatar

Zack W.

Yelp
The workers didn't care about the food and didn't care about their job. Paid $13 for a dry, overcooked, burnt, breakfast Stromboli. It was so dry I took 2 bites and threw the rest out. The egg was overcooked, the bacon was slimy, and it was almost all bread. Burnt on the outside and still raw on the inside. The inside of the airport was disgusting too. None of the workers there care about anything and it shows
google avatar

Hungry L.

Yelp
This is the nastiest pizza I have ever eaten. The people who works there don't care. Old, stale, nasty

Yelp
Never thought I'd be so swift to draft a 5-star review for an airport restaurant, but this one deserves it (maybe I need to factor in the part that I didn't pay for it, though in return I got my friend and me some coffee to go with) - the sausage, egg, cheese on croissant was flaky, warm and delicious! Highly recommend this breakfast item. Thanks for getting us prepared for a 5 hour flight early morning! Yum!
google avatar

Chloe S.

Yelp
I came to the airport around 8:30 in the morning and wanted a small snack. Opted for Tagliare (should have looked at the reviews beforehand) because it seemed like a less expensive option; however, the croissant sandwich was still $8.50. At 8:30, they already ran out of the bacon. The sandwich I got stale and the sausage was burnt. The cheese was also pretty plasticky, making it hard to eat. Giving this place a two stars only because the servers were pleasant and friendly. Disappointed by the food and would recommend looking elsewhere if you're at Newark.
google avatar

Raj S.

Yelp
At the airport, stopped by for a slice of pizza. $7. Pretty expensive for a slice, it was okay at best. It is airport food, not sure what I expected.

Yelp
Delicious pizza and made quick enough for you to make your flight. I fell in love with NY pizza and this was tho closest I got.

Yelp
Ordering system is a total disaster. You have to order at a kiosk, take that printout to another kiosk to pay. On top of that added chaos, the service itself is incredibly slow seeing as how the pizza is already made. It's great that they're taking the time to show off the pizza, and then heat it up in the oven, but the fact it took 20+ minutes to get 1 piece of pizza warmed up is unfortunate. The one employee had no interest in helping anyone other than just going about her business. Needless to say waiting 20+ minutes to get a piece of pizza warmed up for $5+ is not something I'd recommend. The pizza itself was fine, coincidentally it wasn't even that warm!

First L.

Yelp
Avoid if at all possible. Similar to another review here, I made the mistake of ordering a breakfast sandwich ("stromboli"). It came out with a burnt outside and a cold inside. Basically inedible. If I had an inner ingredient that needed cooking, it would be raw. The point of sale system is a digital system which won't print a receipt. Maybe their actual pizza is ok, but definitely avoid this place for breakfast or for business travel.
google avatar

Erik L.

Yelp
A gentlemen in front of me asked for a diffrent slice of pizza and was totally degraded by the empolyee, and then subsequently, another employee who joined. The employee said about ten times "Welcome to America" and then engaged in a conversation with the other employee about not wanting to work and wanting to go home. I think they probably should go home and not got paid. The cusotmer was a really nice man, with his family, was totally embarassed and degraded, and just stayed quiet as the two employees went on a rampage. By the way it was Easter (April 9th, 2023 around 8pm). Oh yes, and an awful slice of pizza for around $7.
google avatar

Kathy H.

Yelp
I paid $12.99 for a sausage egg & cheese boli. It was burnt. Because there was only 1 employee working the ovens. Too bad, looked like a nice sandwich but since the crust was badly burnt it was almost inedible! Disgusted and feeling ripped off.
google avatar

Adam T.

Yelp
What a clown show. Stood waiting for 20 minutes waiting for my food. Guess what, they didnt have it and nobody told me. I have never seen such a disorganized mess, especially when the ipad is taking all the orders. What a waste of time and space
google avatar

Yelp
So the new thing is to make the public do the jobs of employees with self check out. This place is terrible. You have to talk to 5 people get a slice of $5.95 pizza and a soda $4.95 with no ice. You go to place your order. Talk to a guy. You don't know what's happening, you think you are paying, but he points you to self check out. You pay. Then go back for your slide and soda. But wait. No you don't get a cup or a soda. You have to go to self check out and ask for a small cup. You go back. Have to wait your turn. Grab a cup. But wait! You might be stealing that cup. So they need to check your receipt. Which you didn't keep in the first place because you didn't know the rules of needing a cup at one of the random check out screens. After telling the check out person this story, they are annoyed with you and you get your cup. They point to another terminal you can't see so you go searching for some soda dispenser. When you find it, it doesn't have to soda your want that you paid $4.95 and it's out of ice. A guy is sitting behind watching people dispense soda and yells at you to press the ice dispenser first, which I did, on both machines. I tell him there is no ice, so he shrugs and talks to his girlfriend. Wow! You really are saving money here. Good job Newark.
google avatar

Dave K.

Yelp
Pathetic ordering system topped only by incompetent and presumably unempowered employee. What should have taken 1m took 20. Disaster.
google avatar

Stefany V.

Yelp
Decent enough. Tagliare is available if you didn't get enough pizza on your vacation to NYC. But at the end of the day it's still food court pizza. They jazz it up with fresh basil though, so that's a nice show of effort. And the crust was actually pretty good. Ordered sausage, mushroom, and onion, got rang up for breakfast pizza, but still somehow received the correct order. It's the only place we went in this airport that didn't have major issues.
google avatar

William C.

Yelp
Had the basic cheese slice. I ordered from the kiosk on the right side even though there is a sign that says Order here on the left. I tried that first but didn't seem that's the way to go. After ordering you proceed to a checkout kiosk to pay and go back to the order window. They take your slice and warm it up and hand it you. Even though it's definitely a large slice mine had way too much garlic, no worries about vampires on the flight tonight. Bottom line: not the best but also not the worst.

Jake H.

Yelp
Food itself is actually pretty decent, but the service is absolute dog shit. Why did I have to fight with this guy to get a Stromboli within a 20 minute window. All he had to do was put it in the oven! There wasn't even anyone else ahead of me! The "do-it-yourself" ordering system should be expanded to a full service model. Let me put my own damn Stromboli in the oven and that guy can go back to sleep. We'd both be happier.

Mike A.

Yelp
I was starving and needed to eat before my flight. . The people working there are so rude and nasty. I'd rather starve than give that place my money.
google avatar

Andrew O.

Yelp
Horrific $4.40 a slice which in Manhattan is $1.50 Tagliare rips you off robbing u of cash while serving u old wrinkled dry tasteless nothing that looks like pizza It's not
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
Color me underwhelmed. But let's face it: it's better than a lot of airport food court offerings, and had it not been for the disorganized "line" I could give Tagliare another star. People just pick up their order, or your order, or the guy in front of you's order. "Hey, WTF Ya DOin'" he explains. Befuddled I let him know, "I'm standing in line?" No, I Meant THAT M***** F*****!" He exclaims before running down the Terminal. I love New Jersey!!

Yelp
This place doesn't have the best reviews. Unfortunately, I hadn't had anything to eat for 8 hours, and this place was the closest to my gate, so it was picked based on needs, not desire. It's supposed to be "Jersey style pizza"... I'm not familiar with this term. I equated it to Pizza Hut meets ummm... Well, whatever. The different pizzas are made and cooked, then sit out for customers to pick. They then reheat and serve. I did not realize the pieces are cut into big squares. I made the mistake and got two square pieces (i was very hungry, and figured they'd be triangles; I didn't bother to take a peak at other customers' purchases). I purchased two Sausage, Mushroom & Onion squares. The sauce is on the sweet side. The sausage was big chunks; unfortunately, not much taste. Onions and mushrooms? Where? Visually, they're there. Taste wise? Not too bold at all. Probably the main disappointment for me was the cool (temperature) slabs. Fresh from the cooks, and the first few bites where just above room temp. Get in a few bites more, and it was room temp in an air conditioned space. Also, the crust looked like it'd be light and airy, almost focaccia-esque, but not the case. I picked off the toppings of the second slice, and left the rather hard crust for the trash lords.

Chad E.

Yelp
Service & systems are terrible! Pizza was okay. You have to order at a kiosk that doesn't register touch very well. It has you select different up charge options. If they don't have the option to select, you're just out of luck and out of money. Would recommend somewhere else.

Michael R.

Yelp
Made an order for a whole pizza. 10 minutes later the chef comes out and says "no more". The cashier tells me to find a person with orange apron for refund. I created account and did everything( email said 48 hour response. 7 day refund.) 10 days later, Nothing. Rude workers and horrible customer service.
google avatar

Anne S.

Yelp
The tomato and onion pizza was great! But the employees attitude was awful! So there you have it once again a Newark Airport bad attitude employee has put a bad light on what could have been a great review! I don't spend my money at places that don't know how to or have the basic customer service skills period. This is why there review score is so LOW. I knew it going in, but really wanted to try the pizza. Will I go back probably not.
google avatar

matt s.

Yelp
Truly one of the worst restaurants I've ever been. The tomato flavored bread is almost inedible. The prices are 6-8$ per modest slice, warmed over in a chain-driven toaster oven and served still stale. At least the toppings aren't as awful as there are hardly any. Go for the sun-dried tomatoes as they are already dried out and you won't know the difference. Horrendous
google avatar

Ada L.

Yelp
While my husband and I were waiting for our flight, I bought a slice of pepperoni pizza for us to share. I wasn't expecting it to be great, but the pizza actually tasted pretty good. The staff was friendly and I did not have to wait long for my pizza. One downside, as expected, was the price. One thin sliced pizza cost $6 + tax.

Robert P.

Yelp
Trash pizza for decent price and bad customer service to top it off. Employee acted like I was speaking a foreign language and gave half a** answers waving her arms around when I tried to pay for my order at the "PLACE ORDER HERE" sign. Come here if you want bad pizza and an even worse attitude from employees!
google avatar

Allen T.

Yelp
Despite the low ratings, I gave this place a try, because everything else in Terminal C seemed worse. $7 for a sausage slice is a pretty lousy deal, but that's just how airport food is. I am not a New Yorker, but I thought the crust was slightly undercooked (it was just barely yellow) and it was not crisp at all. Strangely, despite the crust being overcooked, the toppings and the cheese were practically burnt. It was almost as if they broiled the pizza. The topping were also extremely salty - but still edible. All things considered, I guess it was OK for airport food, but disappointing for NY/NJ pizza. It does seem that you could do worse and pay more at Newark.
google avatar

Hank C.

Yelp
Pizza for morning breakfast, perfect. No reason not to - better than most of the options around here. Slice wasn't thin crust (more medium thickness), but hot and still a good snack for the pre-flight. Pepperoni slice was $6. Pay at the card machine shared amongst the area food vendors. Terminal C towards the 100+ gates.

Katelyn Joy M.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting. I never leave reviews, especially if they're just gonna be negative ones because I have worked in customer service and have understanding and empathy for employees. However, not only was this the worst pizza I have ever had in my life (literally), but the customer service was terrible. The lady working was rude, dismissive, acting annoyed, and just all around awful. I genuinely thought the store was closed because she was so rude and treated me like I wasn't there, except to roll her eyes. Every food option at this airport was overpriced so I just grabbed a slice of pizza, thinking $4.30 was cheap and doable. I wouldn't have paid a dollar for it. Please understand how serious I am. I never write reviews but the pizza was disgusting and just sitting out and the lady made me feel like I was a peasant or something. Awful.
google avatar

Niki K.

Yelp
It was cheapest option at the airport to eat before getting on the plane. I know you are probably saying pizza at 7am, but if you didnt want to pay a million dollars for a gourmet sandwich that didnt look like much you would choose pizza too. The pizza was okay for what it was, but dont look for that new york style taste. The staff were friendly and there were no lines which was 4 stars, but the price is still expensive. The airport should be ashamed of themselves for charging so much for food. Thats why its good to eat before you go.

Luisa T.

Yelp
Terrible service - do not recommend. Food is not good. Company needs to work on training employees and improving customer service. Ladies have terrible attitude and cannot answer basic questions. Avoid and go elsewhere. Plenty of better options.
google avatar

Noah B.

Yelp
people are extremely rude and on top of that there is a self check out or you have to run up your own bill which is extremely confusing and they will not help. Bad experience bad customer service and get to see it
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
It's pretty awful pizza by New York pizza standards. Which means by almost-anywhere-else, it's edible. Which it is. Barely. That said of all the trendy new food options in EWR Terminal C since the last renovation, most are disappointing, and Tagliare is no exception.
google avatar

Fred L.

Yelp
In terminal C this was the best option for us on our early flight to Aruba! Yes it's expensive and yes it tastes like airport food. However, the staff is friendly and there were almost no lines.... 4 stars for that! Mi lady had a cheese slice and I had the breakfast pizza. It was ok for airport food, please don't try to compare it to NYC pizza folks! All in all we were able to get a quick bite, board our flight and be fine for our 4 hour flight. I don't think we will return, but give them a try if you don't want to wait in lines and speak to the cool staff. Safe travels folks!
google avatar

Leonard L.

Yelp
Tagliere NJ Newark Airport: Terminal C: Delta 11:30am Wednesday 18th August 2015 Three Stars The service was a bit slow by airport standards. However the slice was not bad at all. I had the pie of the day which had bacon, pepperoni, sausage, basil, and ranch. The cost was a whopping $7.5 but still had not horrible for the captive audience and the large size of the slice. This is a great place for last chance east coast pizza.
google avatar

Shannon R.

Yelp
Fast food with ok prices. Rather than spend a fortune on a sit down restaurant we grabbed a couple of sandwiches to hold us over. They offer $6 breakfast sandwiches which is reasonable but their orange was almost the same price. It's not the best sandwich in the world but it will do in a pinch....
google avatar

Laurie V.

Yelp
Terrible. Two locations. First one went like this: Me- Hi! I would like the crew/employee special please. Them- yeah. That's Two slices of cheese pizza. We ran out. Me- oh ok. Is there a substitution? Them- no Me- Second location(close to the gate where I was heading): Me- Hi! I would like the crew/employee special please. Them- (gave me a "look") After heating up the slices, they tried just giving me one. I had to ask for the second slice. They handed it to me. Reluctantly. And with another "look". Pizza was so bland. Tasteless. Greasy. Super pricey unless you are an employee. Even then, it's a waste of money. Entire airport has gone downhill with food choices. No thanks.
google avatar

Ike C.

Yelp
Garbage, $6 slices of old, stale pie. Almost completely inedible. Counter person ran the slices through the heater for too long and burned the sh!t out of them. Avoid.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
I wish I had read Yelps reviews before I stopped in here! Absolutely the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Trust me.....stay away. Typical disgusting New Jersey pizza!
google avatar

Jackson K.

Yelp
The only redeeming quality of this place is that it's the only establishment I could find that doesn't try to shove an iPad in front of your face and call it service. That's why it got the star-- but don't get me wrong, I'm still contemplating a 1/5. The pizza is dismal. A soggy slice of conveyor-belt-reheated pepperoni with artichoke and sun-dried will set you back $7.50. Maybe they think they can get away with $34 pies because of the leaf or two of 'fresh' basil they so lovingly drop on the pie at the end of its ride, but I say if the only part of your entree that isn't absolutely repulsive is single leaf, you don't deserve to exist. The pizza drips oil and the crust has 0 rise to it. At the end of my miserable expedition through the oil field that they call "cheese" I bit into a chunk of cold, hard dough. If I wasn't so hungry from a two hour delay on top of a 7 hour flight, I'd have spat it all out right then and there. Oh, and they don't have cold drinks. That's right, $4 for a Pepsi and their best suggestion for making it potable is "you can take a ice cup if you'd like". Great... we all know open containers are perfect for turbulent confined spaces. Edit: 1/5. If the most common word out of your employees' mouths is "sorry", you have a serious problem.
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
What a waste of calories and carbs. Grumpy server, the worst crust ever and no flavor. The two stars is for the great cashier. We tried the location near C 105. Stay away....
google avatar

Kristel M.

Yelp
I didn't think the pizza was all that bad, maybe I lucked out. It's definitely expensive, but compared to the other restaurant options it was the cheapest. 1 plain slice and 1 bottled water = $8.24 Not a whole lot of seating and the seats are wood. Wish it were something a little more comfortable.
google avatar

Spencer S.

Yelp
Unbelievable, I think they ruined pizza for me. I don't usually rate businesses one star unless they deserve it and this place did. The pizza was so awful. It made me want to throw up. It was hard, cold, and unfresh. Also the prices are really bad. I know it's an airport and that that mark up the prices but they charge five dollars for one disgusting and oily piece of cheese pizza. If you ever come to this airport, do not eat at this horrible pizza place. It was really bad when I ate there, and it's even worse thinking about the place. Don't ever, ever, ever even think about entering there. Just walk right past it and go to some other place
google avatar

Drew D.

Yelp
The pizza is pretty good; generous size slices, quality toppings, and the slices can be folded in half as is sometimes the custom in New Jersey. They cost up to $7 each; I have never seen a price point this high for a slice of pizza, anywhere. About a tablespoon of oil dripped off of the pepperoni slice - which is authentic in the area! So, overpriced but reasonable product. Better than the Villa place that used to be in the food court near gate 90. The service: horrible! The young ladies working today must hate their jobs, hate humanity, and hate that you ordered a slice of pizza from them. I'd actually rather order from an iPad like at all of the other EWR restaurants than from those sociopaths. 100% rude, and not in an endearing, Jersey sort of way. Oh, but you do pay by iPad, at a kiosk behind where you order. This is not clear, and perhaps the reason the staff is so angry at humanity is that they need to explain the payment procedure to every single customer, many of whom are international travelers who do not understand English well and may not have credit cards. How about just a normal pizza place with $4 (max) slices that accepts cash?
google avatar

Gene X.

Yelp
Pitiful customer service from the woman working to take your orders from her apathetic attitude to the terrible food. This place is impressively bad. I kinda wish there was just regular fast food which would be vastly superior. :(
google avatar

Wayne Y.

Yelp
It wasn't that good. To be fair, it was decently sized so it did fill me up. It's apparent that the calzone had been sitting there for a while. It was nice that they put it back in the oven before serving it. I think that this place is a bit cheaper than the other places in this food court, so may be worth checking out, depending on what your budget it. It's on the side, so you have to access it from the terminal/non-food court side to see this place.
