Tahini

I haven’t eaten at this location yet but I ordered delivery a few times. I am in love with this food!! One of my favorite creations is rice, chicken, siracha tahini sauce; garlic sauce, pickled cucumber, pickled beet, red onion and parsley mix. It’s just too delicious for words ;) The combination possibilities are endless too! This place has quickly become one of my all time favorite restaurants!

If you like fresh, delicious food that is full of flavor...you just have to try this place! I love the pitas and the rice bowls. I frequent the Clairemont Mesa restaurant too, and I am in love with their food. Like, think about it all the time kind of love. This is on the UCSD campus, so it's open Mon- Fri and outdoor seating only. Its a gorgeous area and there is an underground parking garage. The staff is so friendly and happy it filled up my Soul too. Today I got a bowl with Rice + Steak + Sriracha Tahini + Garlic Sauce + Pickled Turnips + Pickled Cucumbers + Parsley Mix + Onions. I love how you can customize the bowl or pita and have so many possibilities. I never thought I would like pickled vegetables on a rice bowl, but wow is it good. I also love a Pita + Steak + Toasted Almonds + Parsley Mix + Cilantro Tahini. The chicken has been great too. Another new favorite is fries on the pita! I got: Steak, Cilantro Tahini, Garlic Sauce, pickles, onions, shredded cheese and fries. It was like a unique burger but better. Yum. I am such a sauce person, and their sauces make me so happy. Cilantro Tahini...who knew? I am also such a flavor person. You can certainly get this as plain as you want. But, I want to ramp up the flavor anywhere else. Here, it's like BAM. I seriously do the happy dance with every bite. I have gotten to know the owners. They are such excellent people with a passion for their food! And, I love supporting a business when I know they are good people. These boys are the best! Thanks for another delicious meal.

Stopped for lunch and had to order at a kiosk. I ordered a $17 salad bowl and then paid extra for “pita chips.” Besides the spring salad, my bowl came with zero veggies. The “pita chips” were basically just a tiny sprinkling of pita croutons. The whole thing was drowned in sauce. I’m a pass for this one. Too bad, because I usually love Mediterranean food.

Honestly my favorite place to eat at UCSD. The food is fresh and consistently great. The falafel is made in-house and fresh. The owner and staff are super friendly too. If I could eat here every day I would lol.

I regret not knowing about this place. But I had the best food here. Very fresh, halal and great environment. Loved it.

**This review is for their catering only** We had a wonderful catered lunch for our department from Tahini. Our original caterer fell through a few weeks before our event so I reached out to Tahini to discuss options. The customer service we received was amazing from start to finish. They were knowledgeable, accommodating, and just a pleasure to work with. The order (Chicken Shawarma package) was timely, it was packaged perfectly, and it was SO delicious. There are so many wonderful sides and sauces- everyone at our event kept raving about how fantastic the food was and how it was so nice to be able to customize their lunch. Some built a salad, or a bowl, or even a pita sandwich. The prices were more than reasonable, especially for the very generous portion sizes. We so look forward to working with them on our next event!

Amazing food, vibe and service! Always top notch. Every time I visit San Diego this is a must on our list of food places. We get either the sandwich or rice bowl with chicken or falafel and all the sauces on the side to dip into or drizzle on. Garlic sauce is so good!

I work on campus at UCSD and walked by Tahini in early January 2023 before classes started. The fresh pita bread caught my eye. Wow. Everything they have is amazing. I usually get the falafel bowl with a side of fries. I also love all of the sauces. I usually order ahead online and pick up during my lunch break. It's also full Halal for anyone looking for this option while eating on campus. When I need to buy lunch, this is one of my favorite places on campus to eat at. Everything is made fresh and all the people working have been super friendly and helpful. There are kiosks as you walk in where you can order in addition to two registers. Nowhere to eat inside but plenty of places in the area to eat.

Located on the UC San Diego campus, Tahini is a casual place to grab a bite. They had items such as Pitas and bowls. I decided to get one of the set menu items instead of a build your own meals. Pros: -good food -they accept triton cash -you can place an order with their staff or place your order on one of their self serve digital stations Cons: -no seating indoors -inside is very narrow, so it can be difficult to get your beverage when a bunch of people are waiting for their order

Great spot for quick Mediterranean food at UCSD. The service is fast and the food is delicious. I recommend building your own meal as there are plenty of options. My only gripe is that the restaurant itself is tiny but you can wait outside and they'll call your order on the speaker!

This location is on the UCSD campus. We were looking for a spot on our way from San Diego airport to Legoland and ended up here not realizing it's on campus. Being on campus means that there's a 5min walk from parking to this location. It's a small location with outdoor tables, but no indoor seating. Both the beef and chicken shawarma were delicious. The fries were also really good. Crunchy on the outside and very light, airy inside. Both bowls and sandwiches were delicious. Cucumber salad was very fresh and a nice accompaniment to the sandwich.

I went to tahini with one of my friends and we were blown away with how unique yet tasteful the menu items were. The pita chips were one of my favorite dishes and second would be the delicious ESQUIRE. Can't wait to come back!! 10/10 the best authentic food . My kids love the rice bowls & French fries on the side. I love the rice bowls my self. It's definitely a fulling and worth my money. Customer service is always 10/10 & I would always highly recommend everyone trying it out. Also family friendly experience.

Delicious middle eastern food with generous portions. My go to is the hummus bowl with half chicken and half beef. I highly recommend it

Their customer service is superb, I was given two free falafels with extra tahini sauce on the side with my order. Also love the restaurant's decor and pretty lights! Can't forget the amazing food too :)

Food is excellent, it's the small portion size which keeps it from getting five stars.

I like the vibe of the place. It's very vibrant and the sink in the front to wash hands, very clean. The food is meh, comparable to Cava but Cava is yummier and I think cheaper. The flow of the space is not the best when waiting for food, it's awkward to know where to stand.

Came for dinner and the food was terrible! Cold, bland. Not worth the price. I would definitely not recommend this place! Would rather go to Pita 22 or Panini Kabob Grille in Del Mar.

as a student at ucsd, this place has provided amazing & filling meals at an affordable price (especially in comparison to the food at UCSD). highly recommend and can't wait to go back! parking might be tricky if you're not already at the campus but that is the university's fault.

Hot fresh baked pitas, amazing tahini sauces, fresh chopped vegetables, and tasty toasted almonds on top. The food is just as tasty as the original location. It's great to have this new Tahini location open on the UCSD campus. Inside the entry door there is a high-tech Dyson wash and dry integrated sink to allow for quick hand washing before you eat. There also is a multi-level parking structure below the building. The location is perhaps better described as the middle of the north/south section of Muir College Drive walkway on the east side of the building structure. You could say Tahini is low-key hiding between Copa Vida and Showa Ramen, which have more prominent signs on the building corners.

One of the best spots to eat at on the ucsd campus! Very friendly staff always greeted with a smile when ordering and picking up food. Nice spot near 6 college. Highly recommend

Delicious fries! I crave them daily. Nice and hot. I order them a la carte and it is only $3.50.

Absolutely phenomenal service! They've gotten some people coming only to hate- IGNORE THOSE REVIEWS! The food here tasted unique and DELICIOUS! The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the blonde lady at the cashier was very friendly and make my experience enjoyable with her customer oriented attitude !

Certainly one of my preferred spots on campus. Their falafel and halloumi cheese are exceptional (those are the only items I've sampled thus far). I highly recommend the garlic sauce!

A very unique flavor. It's either you love it or hate it. We ordered the rice bowl with beef gyro and fries.

10!10!10!10! Nothing but amazing quality food and incredible customer service. I really feel like I was being taken care of while ordering. Since it was my first time I wasn't so sure what to get but a young man working at the front counter named Assad recommended the Esquire pita which absolutely blew my mind! Also got the opportunity to meet the owners Osama and Moody, who are incredibly genuine people. Will definitely be coming back every time I get the chance!

Tahini is quick, delicious, and has high quality food. Whenever I go out with friends and I pick the place we eat, it's always Tahini

I come here all the time! The flavors are great and the ordering system is very user friendly. I usually get the pita and customize it. It is a little pricy for what it is though

Good food I enjoyed the chicken shawarma. I definitely recommend for students who want a quick bite to eat.
