Inside Downtown’s New Beer Hall and Restaurant | Eater San Diego

"At Old Town’s Tahona Bar I found a focus on agave spirits; Harrag and team recently relaunched it with a new dine-in format offering two prix fixe options—one featuring tacos and churros and the other a four-course chef’s tasting—and the meals can be paired with mezcal, cocktails, or wine from the Valle de Guadalupe." - Candice Woo

Great vibes and great food. The staff was excellent and attentive. Absolutely delicious tacos. Very cool speakeasy with creative and tasty cocktails. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Old Town area.

Many execellent gluten free dishes clearly labeled. The happy hour menu is a steal as is taco Tuesday.

Jonathan L.

Google
The tacos, drinks, and service were top-notch. The carne asada taco and mezcal old fashioned were what stood out. Great staff and comfortable ambiance. Check out the speakeasy in the back, too (reservations needed), it was totally worth it!

Google
Amazing waiters, super attentive, incredible margs, guac, and salsa! I will be back for more! Soooo good!!!

Went to this place a few months back. I should have left a review but didn't. I'm back because a friend asked me about a place with good birria. This is it. Tried the other tacos and they were good but their birria taco was absolutely amazingness. Give it a try for sure.

Fantastic cocktails. Lovely staff!

Google
This was the best birria I have ever had! Excellent service and great ambiance.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! My boyfriend and I originally planned to eat at a well-known restaurant in the heart of Old Towne, but it was packed due to a weekend event. Luckily, we stumbled upon this spot instead--and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant has great music, beautiful decor, and intimate seating that sets the perfect vibe. Everything we ordered was incredible. The fish had been caught that morning, and the pork was sourced locally--you can really tell they care about the quality of their ingredients and the overall dining experience. We enjoyed some sipping tequila, squash blossom quesadillas, tacos, and chips with guac, but the standout dish was hands down the pozole. It comes with a generous piece of pork so tender you can cut it with a spoon, all in a broth unlike any pozole you've had before--in the absolute best way. I highly recommend ordering it.

Yelp
Ive been to Tahona bar a few times. Its always been a pleasant experience. Here its kind of open but kind of quiet and intimate too. I wanted a Michelada and I could have sworn they had one at one point. But here I was and they do not. So our server instead suggested the head ancho I believe it was called. It was aight. I'd stick with a margarita or something citrus with mezcal next time. The guac - I am a guac aficionado. This was pleasant and easy. Very light on the ingredients and focusing on the avocado. Ahi Tuna Ceviche - it was pleasant and packed with tuna. Not overly citrusy and very fresh. Just wasnt too cold. Was more not cold. However this place in Downtown LA with a Michelin star Holbox serves it this way and very similar to this tostada. And they are amazing. Carnitas Taco - Light. Definitely carnitas and just flavorful. Nothing out of the ordinary though. This is the general "how carnitas" are done. Good. Al Pastor Taco - Which had rabbit and chicken. Flavor was nice. Not over powering or anything crazy. the meat was tender. Didnt feel like I was eating chicken or conejo. This was pretty unique as pastor tacos arent heavy but arent light either. But this felt light.

Yelp
When Tahona first debuted in Old Town, it was a very buzzy spot that included a speakeasy in the back of the facility (Oculto 477). I believe the number reflected the 477 buried bodies at the next door cemetery, El Campo Santo, which is more than 175 years old. There was a row of tables in the parklet in front of the building for outdoor dining. The interior was broken up into a main dining area, a small tasting room off to the left side, and a cocktail bar and lounge area in the back. The main draw for this place was the selection of mezcals, hence the term mezcaleria posted on an exterior sign. The food and drink menus were on display outside the structure so you could view them from the sidewalk. I sat at the bar during my most recent visit on a weeknight that happened to be on a Taco Tuesday. The discount was $2 off all tacos all day long. The regular prices for the eight listed tacos were between $6 and $8. I initially chose three of the tacos without the awareness of how large they would be. The Cali-Baja Fish, Chicken & Rabbit Al Pastor, and the Venison Picadillo were my selections. Mahi was used as the fish that was battered with masa tempura. House slaw, miso aioli, date glaze, and guajillo XO were the other ingredients. The crunch on the fillet was light and crispy. The meats in the al pastor were marinated with blood orange-achiote adobo. Charred avocado and pineapple and pico de gallo accompanied the chicken and rabbit. I thought this was an unusual combination as you don't find rabbit used often as a taco meat. The pineapple provided a sweetness to contrast the adobo marinade and grilled avocado. A 50/50 mix of venison and beef was used to form a terrine for the last taco. Seasonal pico, garbanzo and avocado crema, and pepita macha spiced up the meats. I wasn't full after consuming the trio so I also ordered their signature taco which was the Asada Norteno. Carne asada, chorizo, queso oaxaca, cabbage, onion, green salsa, and salsa macha were the components. The beef and the sausage were very savory on the bottom of the tortilla. All of the tacos I tried had a creative combination of ingredients and flavors. With the reduced prices on Taco Tuesday, the value was much more reasonable for these street sized products. I gave a four star rating for my meal at Tahona Bar.

Yelp
I came here on a double date to enjoy a couple drinks & an appetizer. We actually came to see Occulto 477, but were a bit early so we thought we would sit to have some drinks & maybe a super quick bite to eat. We ordered the quesabirria & got some chips with salsa. Both were amazing & I really want to go back so we can enjoy some other dishes. The quesabirria was packed with protein & flavorful. I'll definitely order this again my next trip here! The server was quick & attentive. Ambiance had a dim lighting vibe with cool spooky decor to match the energy.

Yelp
Food is good. But they charge you a 3% credit card surcharge. Seems a lot for a place that tries to pass itself off as trendy. Croquetas? Meh. Skip them.

Yelp
I come to San Diego a lot. Typically it's with my son, so I don't check out any bars. We come to the El Campo cemetery a lot to walk around and check out the graves. I always see the Tahona Bar and I've always wanted to check it out. I finally went to SD on a grown up trip, no kids. So naturally I came here. The Molé was delicious. Just the right balance of spice, smokiness, and sweetness. I had a few mezcal cocktails that were phenomenal. The bar tenders were great. The decorations and ambiance in here is impeccable. I loved it.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Wow thank you so much for your feedback.... See what I mean....... Still waiting. A million years later....

Yelp
We stumbled upon Tahona in Old Town and sat at the bar on a quiet weekend evening. The bartender was attentive as we sampled some of their mezcal cocktails and an assortment of fresh tacos. Great little spot for fresh oaxacan cuisine for a charming evening in Old Town.

Yelp
What a great experience! Went in on a Monday for a birthday celebration and it was happy hour all night. The servers were very attentive, friendly and helpful. We chatted with them quite a bit. The place looks tiny from the outside, but once you go inside it is bigger than you think. The decor is very chic and beautiful, airy with a touch of romanticism. We sat at the best seat int he house. Right by the front entrance inside, next to an open door. We felt the southern California breeze on our faces all evening. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful and cooked spot-on. We ordered chips, salsa and guacamole. The red salsa is where its at. It had the perfect amount of light spice with a lot of flavor. I ordered the stuffed squash blossoms which were fried to perfection, stuffed with a great combo of flavors, sitting on a bed of refried beans. My friend ordered the machaca wagyu tostada which had the meat cooked two ways and layered for a burst of flavor in each bite. We also got a birthday dessert which was very tasty. I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon, but the churros they brought out barely tasted like cinnamon, and the two creams to dip in were to die for. I have been wanting to try this place for years and am so glad I finally got to try it. I will definitely go back again. The friendly service and awesome food made this a wonderful experience!

Yelp
The food here is good but way over priced due to being in a tourist area. We got seated outside which was nice but very sunny. They need to invest in umbrellas for sunny San Diego. They had tons of heaters but zero shade. We ordered: -Chips and salsa - came with red and green salsa -Guacamole - had lots of lime juice, we didn't mind. -Mole sampler - made in house, tastes like chocolate dessert, really good but didn't come with chips. We used the chips from our salsa. -Empanadas - had lots of fillings -scallops - the best! I wanted more. -Fish tacos - tasty but not worth $10 for a tiny street taco size that was finished in three bites. For drinks I got the Jugo Sano which sounded refreshing with cucumber, basil, lime and tequila. It was not refreshing but bitter strong. It's better known for mezcal. Parking is all on the street or park 5 minutes away in the main old town lot.

Yelp
Love the ambiance here. Such an intentionally decorated spot next to a peaceful cemetery. Every time I've come to Tahona, the service has been wonderful- Accommodating, relaxed, and friendly. I've managed to snag a reservation on open table every time and have had flexibility in changing my seating. My favorite spot to sit is at the bar where you get to watch awesome cocktails come to life! Happy hour here is reasonable and perfect for a quick bite and drink. We have tried almost everything off the menu and our favorite every time is the birria croquetas. Delicious! One of my favorite spots for a pick me up!

Yelp
The food was great at Tahona bar. We got free tacos and they were pretty good sized tacos. The service was pretty good too, and the ambience was definitely romantic

Yelp
Wow, talk about a wonderful meal. First and foremost, thank the lord I was able to find a mezcal bar. This place has an insane selection with a great bar program to back it up. Tacos and chips. That is the way to go. Don't get cute here. Their taco selection is great and every taco I ate was elite. The chips were amazing with 2 solid salsas as well. My server was awesome. Attentive, polite, and seemed to really love working behind the bar. One of the best meals I had on my trip to San Diego hands down
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Yayyyy this place was soo good! We came here bc cafe coyote was closed unexpectedly but it was SUCH A GOOD FIND!! Get the corn croquettas, our bartender Mitch recommended them to us and they were so insane so yummy. And he was super nice and the drinks were also delicious.

Yelp
We have walked by this place numerous times but finally decided to stop here. For a quick summation: amazing food and drinks but veryyyyy expensive for the proportions. Let's get into specifics: For drinks we had the Head Ancho and their Paloma de la casa. Both were very refreshing! Then we had the mole flight and the corn croquetas. Both were 15/10. Sadly they were tremendously small. I could eat each solo so they are not that shareable in my opinion. Then we had the quesabirria, chorizo and the pollo pastor tacos. Each was delightful in its own way but the quesabirria won out. Full disclosure: their taco meat comes out sometimes in full rectangles. Kinda gives off a pre-made feel which we didn't adore but the flavor was still there. Also you only get one taco for the order. As for the location: it was very cute and small inside but as more people file in it gets LOUD. So if you want to talk make sure to try and snag an outdoor table especially for first dates. Also TWO people are seated with iPads at the front and it was pretty confusing. One of them will check you in. Recommend reservations as it got busy fast. Our service was great but sadly our one waitress had to handle all the tables solo so she was swamped. Parking is...well it's old town. Go to one of the main lots and walk over. All in all of the old town restaurants this is one of the nicer ones just be ready to spend a lot for small portions but tasty food and drinks.

Yelp
After a bad experience at El Sueno down the street, we came here hoping for better, and wow, they definitely did it. It was close to closing time and still very busy. They said they were doing last call in about 15 minutes but we were still more than welcome to come in. We came in and got 2 drinks and desert at the bar. The bar tenders were friendly, the service was fast, and they joked around and told us a little about the place. They do have a speakeasy that's really hard to get into so hoping we can do that next time. The corn cheesecake was extremely unique and I will definitely get it again. Over all, this is more upscale Mexican and a little pricey, but we loved it and hope to join for dinner in the future.

Yelp
The service and ambiance is great here. We came late and our waitress took great care of us. My friend and I split the steak dish and it was AMAZING!!!! We loved the cook of the steak, the flavor of the dish and the candied chilies were so good. The guac here is actually pretty bad- no flavor and definitely made with lots of oil. The salsa is good and the corn fritters were incredible! Drinks are very strong!

Yelp
This restaurant is superlative in every way! Not only is there a cozy ambiance with thoughtful Mexican aesthetic, the food is so creative and tasty and the cocktails are exceptional! We were well guided by Zac in our mezcal selections and by Dani on our meal choices. Our favorite dishes were squash blossom appetizer followed by entrees lamb tamales, pozole, carnitas, venison, and birria tacos. We look forward to returning soon!

Yelp
Loved this place. We were lucky to snag a table so highly recommend making reservations. The drinks were so strong and tasted so good! But the food was spectacular. My husband got the tacos, and three filled him up. I got the short rib and it was so soft and melt in your mouth. My favorite part was the service. When our food was served they told us a little about where everything came from and that was lovely and enough to get us more hungry!
google avatar

Lenore M.

Yelp
We went to San Diego for my husbands birthday, who is gluten free and I chose this place based off of 1) mezcal 2) gluten free clearly labeled. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Zach (I believe I'm really bad with names) He was super friendly, and you could tell he and the wait staff were actually passionate about the food there. Which comes to the food, it was beyond our expectations. So unique, with complex flavors that worked SOOOO well together. The pozole had some of the most flavorful broth I have ever eaten. This place is definitely on our list to visit again.

Yelp
My boyfriend booked this place for date night for us on saturday. We sat on the patio, and it took a while for our server to get to us, even to bring us water and menus. I was feeling a little impatient to add because I was quite hungry. But once our server did come by, he was fairly attentive, and our drinks and food came out very quickly. We tried a variety of their appetizers and tacos. Enclosed out our dinner with Churros for dessert. The churros were a little disappointing, just tasted like dough. But overall, I had a good experience.

Amber C.

Yelp
A slice of Baja in San Diego. :) We did the chef's tasting menu and it was an absolute dream. Come hungry! The flavors were rich, acidic, and spicy. Pared with a mezcal tasting and it was a perfect night.

Yelp
COCKTAILS, COCKTAILS, COCKTAILS!! A charming Spanish cocktail bar, such a delightful experience. Nestled on a bustling road, the atmosphere is a perfect mix of cozy and vibrant. The cocktails are absolutely fantastic -- expertly crafted with fresh ingredients and a creative twist on traditional Spanish flavors. I particularly loved the old fashion, which had a unique smoky note that set it apart from the usual. The modern tacos were also a pleasant surprise; packed with bold flavors and fresh ingredients, they were the perfect accompaniment to the drinks. While the bar can get a bit noisy due to its lively location, it only adds to the energy of the place. The service was friendly and efficient, making it a great spot to unwind after a busy day. I would've loved a bit more space for seating, but overall, it's a fantastic spot with a great vibe. The outdoor seating was just as wonderful as the inside. I recommend trying this place for anyone looking for delicious cocktails and modern bites in a lively setting! FRIDAY NIGHT 5:30pm- 1 hr wait for seating inside. No wait for outside. 4 stars because the tacos are average compared to others. Ordered: 1.) Quesabirria tacos- delicious tacos despite it being non traditional 2.) shrimp and carne asada tacos 3.) old fashion drink- whisky is replaced with tequila Other: -$$$$ -accepts any card -parking is hit or miss -heaters for outside -bathrooms inside- two individual bathrooms

Yelp
Came here for dinner and we were so delighted! We arrived a bit before our reservation, but were able to be sat right away. Solid happy hour, great cocktails, inviting atmosphere with upbeat music, and exceptional service, always smiling while describing each dish. Recommendations: ahi tostada, braised lamb Oaxacan tamal with grilled sourdough, tempura squash blossom, and the watermelon salad with apple and toasted sesame. The flavor combinations were something I've never had before, but worked so well together. Each dish and drink was an experience, authentic yet contemporary. The manager gave us a mezcal tasting and a cute little fun egg white cocktail on the house - love little gestures like this. The fact that the menu changes seasonally gives folks something to look forward to. Can't wait to go again the next time I'm in San Diego to try all the tacos and checkout the cemetery-themed speakeasy part of the restaurant! I highly recommend Tahona Bar for a date night or outing with loved ones.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend treated me to a nice dinner here during my last night working in San Diego for the summer. They specialize in mezcal cocktails, which after having one, I have to say is an acquired taste. The cocktail I had was on the sweeter side, but it took me a few sips before I was sold on the smoky taste from the mezcal. I wasn't mad at it though. All of the food was delicious. The corn croquetas and morita aioli and carnitas bao buns were great starters. The short rib hurrache was *Chef's Kiss* it was so tender. My friend and I ordered some churros to end our meal, the first ones came out underdone, but they were nice enough to replace them and give them to us for no charge. All in all, Tahona was a nice little spot to chill and wind down with my friend with great food.

Yelp
We went for a couple of drinks at the bar on a Saturday night at 8 and had no problem getting a seat and we could have easily gotten a table The bartenders were super friendly and gave their suggestions as well as describing the drinks Both drinks that I had were really good. Tasty but not overpowering. They also have a speakeasy connected to it but you need to make reservations in advance- Oculto 477

Yelp
10/10 great service! We came here for a dinner and really enjoyed every interaction and additionally the food was very good.

Yelp
Walked in for dinner / drinks at 730 to be greeted by "how can I help you" we are closing, the bar is open for another 15 minutes Only to my surprise I inquired of why you would close at 730 on a Sunday? 4th of July - no resos sorry ? not even rude normally the food and drinks are good here maybe amend your hours - I thought we had ample time , guess not
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Tourist trap. Not a bad place, but very average. Been here a couple times, and the service was terrible on my last visit. They forgot some of our apps and drinks, also took 30+ minutes for other drinks, and weren't apologetic at all. Drinks and apps were good, but the entrees weren't great. Overpriced for what you get, and lots of better options in SD.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
This place manages to accomplish the impossible: it's fancy gussied up Mexican food that still feels somehow...authentic?! (not that food needs to be authentic to be good, see disclaimers in literally hundreds of my reviews if you'd like to know more about my thoughts on this) I ate in the bar here. The tacos were expensive but they were large and the ingredients were fresh. The cocktails were incredible, with many mezcal options. The selection of beers were also pretty solid. (there's a brewery across the street that sadly closed earlier than their posted hours, but I was able to drink some of their beers here!) The staff were the best part! I do do a lot of fermenting and so...it seems...do they! I make beer, cider, wine, mead, and tepache and we spent a lot of time talking about the last one. They even gave me a taste of their cloudy, partially-fermented version...it was awesome! Wish I couldn't taken a culture home with me!
google avatar

Sue K.

Yelp
We hosted a dinner for 12 in the private room at Tahona Bar. Jasmine was a great server who was intuitive, knowledgeable, and patient. Daniela makes incredible cocktails. We arrived before 6:30 PM, so we were able to take advantage of ordering all the items off the happy hour menu (despite not being at the bar area.) The food is phenomenal and the drinks are great.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Food presentation is fantastic! Every dish was carefully and perfectly plated + plus the staff brought it out to the table with care. The pozole is the best I've ever had: salty, spicy, acidic, complete umami. Deliciousness. Also, a portion large enough to share or make for your entire meal. I'd return just for the pozole and start with their signature or seasonal guacamoles. Taco selection is unique and different. Worth trying some but you have to be careful not to order too much food. Gotta pace yourself for the first dining experience and save additional selections for the second visit. The restaurant is a bit loud, if there is a crowd by the bar the noise carries into the restaurant. Service was top notch but hard to hear, then our server unexpectedly changed and it went from 5-star to 3-star. Second server was not very attentive and super casual. Talking with another couple dining and not being mindful to other tables. So ensured on a down hill for service. I would return though because that pozole is calling to me.
google avatar

Tori S.

Yelp
This is such a cute place! Their happy hour was also really good! I'll definitely be back
google avatar

Yelp
High quality tacos alert! Initially my friend and I stopped by just for two tacos, but ended up getting 5 each because they were sooo good! Not sure what you add to your fish or shrimp taco but flavors are so complex yet tasty. I wish I could say the same about service. We stopped by on a Thursday night, and restaurant was rather empty. We waited quite a bit to be approached by server. Then male server appeared, took our drinks order and we have not seen him ever since. 10 minutes later, female server appeared and asked us for drinks order. We relayed that we placed the order and she made us repeat. Fine, not a big deal. We also barely saw her for the rest of the night. Once we were done with food, I literally had to walk to the bartender to ask for check because we were left completely on our own accord. No checking in, no offering to put more drinks order, nothing. Quite a shame that food is so freaking good but service is so mediocre.

Yelp
I LOVE TAHONA! Did you know it's right next to an old cemetery? Always thankful for their vegan options. Food and drinks are great. Perfect mix of elevated and spooky. Friendly staff!
google avatar

Miriah S.

Yelp
We have been to Tahona multiple times a while back and loved it - food, drinks, atmosphere. This time was totally different. We had the MOST rude waitress I've maybe ever had. She knew nothing about the drink menu and acted completely inconvenience with any questions we had. She made the whole experience so unpleasant and uncomfortable as if we were cramping her style just by being there. The drink and food menu was more limited than I recall, but. mostly the quality of the food was just poor. Overall a total shame...i really loved this place before, the service and the quality of the food totally went downhill. Major bummer.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food and drinks!!! Ambiance was amazing - loved the candle lit feel and spooky Mexican vibe. As a local I don't frequent old town much but this is now at the top of my list! Tacos - yummy! Shrimp taco 10/10 - cheese + pickled onions, so good! Steak taco 8/10 - heavy but rich and tasty! Rabbit taco 7/10 - a unique thing to try! Birria taco 8/10 - also rich, very juicy Our waitress was amazing and so friendly, she really knew the menu. I ordered what she recommended basically

Yelp
There are several solid restaurant groups in the San Diego market. I decided to bring my husband to Tahona for his birthday. Wormwood is so good, so I had high hopes. Although Tahona is quite good, I probably hold it to a higher standard due to Wormwood, but it gets a solid four stars. They had the reservation, gave me the table I requested and the service was attentive. We tried several items, all good and my husband raved about the slow roasted barbacoa, stating it was one of the best he ever had. We also enjoyed some cocktails and mocktails with our food. The decor was festive and delightful for a celebration, yet the music was a little loud for our taste. Try some mezcal, you can get a tasting flight to enjoy with your meal. Save the absinthe for me at Wormwood. #TahonaBar #OldTownSanDiego #Mezcal #Barbacoa

Yelp
About the food. I ordered the birria ramen. The meat was great, but the broth was bland and the noodles looked like they came from a can of chicken noodle soup. Also, for $18 I expected a much larger portion size. What I got was essentially a side dish. My carnitas taco was excellent, I wish I had gotten three of those instead of the ramen. The chips were over cooked and the amount of guacamole and salsa you get for the price is ridiculous. The restaurant was nicely decorated on the inside and not too loud which I liked. The service was average. The waitress argued with one of my party about the burntness of the chips and had a bit of an attitude the rest of the evening. I doubt if I will return.
google avatar

El S.

Yelp
Food is extremely small portions and not worth the price. Everything was overly hyped up. Will not be going back.
google avatar

Randall B.

Yelp
100% love the food and the staff was also superb. But.... $9 for smal street taco is. Horrendous. You will go away hungry unkesss you want to spend a kings fortune. So.. would have e been five stars but the value is just not here for the ambience and portion size.

Yelp
This is an unexpected spot in Old Town, where a lot of restaurants are touristy. Tahona strives to provide flavor and authenticity. We made a reservation for a Saturday night, which was good because it's a small place. Our service was prompt and friendly. We started with guacamole and chips and salsa. While the guac was good, I would probably skip it next time because it's a fairly small portion. The chips and salsa were good - definitely some spice in the salsas. They have a great assortment of cocktails, which everyone enjoyed something different. For food, the ahi tostada was delicious. That will be an order every time dish for me. The tacos were all flavorful and unique. I came for a mezcal tasting a different time, which was a great experience. If you are wanting to try mezcal, it's a great way to start. They also have different options for those who already drink it, but want to branch out. It might be a little on the pricier side, but still reasonable. Definitely skip the tourist spots and hit up Tahona!

Lindsey F.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! A little off the main drag but the drinks are top notch. We got the house margarita, the Paloma and the Sandia con alegria and all of them were 10/10. We didn't eat here but the food looked amazing!

Yelp
Found out about this place since we had gone to Oculto 477 and it is inside Tahona. We decided to try this restaurant so came back 2 days later. We sat at the bar as we knew the bartender Gem from another place. He is so great and he knows his drinks. We also met the other bartender Daniela. She was also on point with her drink making skills. It is a cute restaurant and it is right next to a cemetery. We ordered the following: Squash blossoms- these were OK. I never really tasted the squash blossom and it was a bit greasy. Empanadas- yummy. The sauces were good too. Carnitas taco- very good and very flavorful. They had pickled onion- yum! Would order again! Fish taco- good but would probably not get it again. Queso barilla taco- really yummy. Cheese was crispy which was definitely a plus! The tacos are a bit expensive but they are good and on Tuesdays they are $2 off. I would definitely return and try some of the other food items and nicely crafted cocktails.

Yelp
The food is good, the service is unusual, the restaurant is impeccably clean. Apparently, these employees work later hours than Brown Dog Cafe. I am a female patron and was not hassled.

Yelp
My gawd!!!! The service food and drinks! Anika was our server she was so cheerful and her recommendations her on point, so much that after our speakeasy experience we went back for more! Logan was fun, accommodating and friendly. I would want him as my bodyguard 100% ( as Beth Dutton) iykyk! Anna (in Oculto) was amazing she was busy but managed to connect with everyone. We can't wait to come back next month for more of your drinks! I came here for my birthday and had a blast! Chill, warm, & connective. Recommendation at Oculto * thieves oil * pride *greed *graveyard shift

Yelp
I love the ambience Ordered braised rib plate great flavors Tacos are small & not your typical Mexican style but the Asada taco was great. The had a mahi-mahi fish taco that was different. I wasn't a fan but always willing to try something different. The chips & salsa not a fan. The chips were salty & the red salsa was spicy but looks like ketchup. The green salsa lack flavor. Over all great service from hostess to waitress.

Yelp
Average food at an absurd cost. Guacamole $14 - they give you half a plate of gauc, never seen such a weird way to serve this dish. Fish taco $10 - weirdly sweet, and for that cost you only get one small taco Carne Asada $10 - nothing special and again, only one taco for that cost Definitely would not come back for the food, the drinks however were excellent.
