The food was really great! We tried 3 burritos, 2 kinds of tacos, and originally made an effort for an avocado boat. The avocado was hard as a rock so we switched it out for another set of tacos. They were very quick to accommodate the change. I chalked it up to first day glitch in giving us the hard avocado to begin with. The boat itself looked amazing and as soon as they are in season, I will definitely go for the avocado boat again!
Pineapple Express: I prefer salmon over any other sushi fish so I might ask them to switch over to salmon from ahi. I will also get double fish I think. Pineapple was slightly overpowering but still delicious.
Crabby Bastard: pomegranate, who knew? Right? What an amazing addition! I would get this again and make zero change to it!
I forgot the third one we got but it was first on the menu: not my fave but was favorite to one in our group. Actually each of these three ended up as one person's fave, one person's middle choice, and one person's least favorite. So all and all they are worth a shot!
Tacos: kinda messy and sauce is sticky so bring wipes or something! You pick a protein, a veg, and a sauce. We got a set with ahi, cucumber, and sweet chili sauce. The other set was salmon, cucumber, and honey sesame aoili. The ahi is minced, which I am not a fan of. Tasted good, but as mentioned I usually trade for salmon anyways (and in this case it was cubed which I like better). The sweet chili sauce was good but we didn't pick the best combo I think. The salmon and honey sesame was just right! We ended up getting a second set of those.
Overall I can see that this is going to be interesting and fun to play around with the combinations they have to offer.
