First time staying in this hotel. Even though My daughter unfortunately fell ill in the first few days, the excellent and prompt service provided by your staff really warms our hearts. I want to compliment the housekeeping team at level 13 for their excellent service. Especially this young man 黄博伟 for his friendly, kind-hearted and professional attitude which touches me, my wife and my daughter. Thank you for making my stay in this hotel a memorable one

The hotel is luxurious with beautiful facilities and top notch services. The location of the hotel is very convenient for an avid traveller who would love to explore the city which very close to attractions and enjoy the night life in Taipei. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great decor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.

Aside from the front desk staff when we checked in at around 11pm who was a bit sassy, generally, this was a great stay. The location was convenient as Ximen was a stone’s throw away, and right across the hotel, there was a Carrefour with lots of restaurants to choose from. The AI system in the hotel room was very convenient. The tub inside the shower was a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again if I come to Taipei again as the price was well worth it.

This might have been the "worst" hotel we stayed at in Taiwan, but that's relative to the other really nice places we stayed at. Overall it is still a very nice place. The service was generally good. The amenities and everything else are pretty good. The toilet was busted on checkin, but they immediately replaced it as we went out for food so it didn't really affect us at all. However, the replacement seat didn't fit properly and it really shouldn't have happened in the first place. So what let it down? Well the entire place (except our room) smelled ... annoying. I'm not sure if it was the cleaning agent or some special scent they used but it was exceedingly bad to our noses. The breakfast food was fine, but the place was chaotic. Lineups every day even though there were plenty of empty tables inside. They just had poor organization. I see them bringing out food replacements only to have no place to put it because the previous one was still full but also other items keep going empty. On top of that, they must have booked some large tour groups which, let's just generously say that they maybe would be more comfortable not at 4 or 5 star hotels. Their behaviours kind of ruined it for us. Oh and that ANNOYING "AI" room assistant was worse than useless. No matter what language, it would randomly fail to understand the most basic requests. Complete waste of time and money ... and to turn it off, I had to unplug it. The location...well, at first it seemed convenient but in order to get anywhere you have to cross the street and this particular intersection, no matter where you go, is EXCEEDINGLY long. On average it probably took close to 5 minutes just to get across and moving to our destination (or come back). For the price, I would not return. I'm not saying it's a bad place, it's just not worth the money and there are plenty other 4-5 star hotels which are better.

I booked in person and cancelled about an hour later in person, before my son and I even moved into the room because check in time was still several hours away. The receptionist ensured me I would receive my refund in a few business days, I didn’t. No one answers the phone there, they marked my email as junk after I sent two emails asking about the refund. So now I’m going through my bank for dispute reimbursement. Would not recommend it.

Very nice hotel with top end amenities! Room was large enough with comfortable bed. Bathroom is awesome! combo bath & shower and high tech toilet. The breakfast buffet has a huge variety of food, well worth it! We were on the 14th floor so had a pretty good view of the city too.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends who are visiting taipei. Service is absolutely excellent. Rooms are clean and descent with japanese style small tubs. The tea they serve in the lobby is also excellent. It's just a few minutes walk away from the subway station. There is also a 24 hour grocery store 2mins walk away so definitely very convenient!

I love the hotel! My stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The room and toilet was very clean, with daily housekeeping service, and the bed was very comfy. Check in and check out was quick. Room service breakfast was very scrumptious at a very responsible price. Certainly a 5-star experience. I will definitely be back the next time I’m ever in Taipei! Only downside is that it is located 10 mins walk away from Ximen station, it is, however, near Xiaonanmen station which is 5 minutes away. Not a dealbreaker for me though. You can always Uber from Ximen to the hotel at around 100NTD :)

Yelp
Great location, walking distance to Ximending. The front entrance was a bit confusing as they blocked off the main entrance and required guests to go through the two smaller side automatic doors (also the doors don't seem to open until your face is almost touching and there's no button to push either). Staff was very friendly and courteous, quick to help guests when they walk in. Our deluxe room was pretty spacious and large. I was told most rooms come with 2 beds put together as a king by default, but you can request they separate the beds if you want. There was a free bag of Kuai Kuai (corn snack) upon arriving. The room is also super "smart" and there's an AI/smart hub that'll listen to you but it just kept opening the blinds whenever we walked into the room. The separated shower/tub area from the toilet was nice, but there were no hooks/towel racks in the toilet room, so nowhere to dry your hands after using the toilet. Sink counter space was also pretty limited. The fitness center was on the 16th floor and was very fairly small, though seemed like it would have a good view during the day. All in all, it was a very nice hotel with very convenient location. It is still a bit of a walk to the nearest MRT station so keep that in mind.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. What a wonderful hotel! Highly recommended, even for large families! Service is excellent and walking distance to everything you need! Don't think it's fair that they've received less than 5 stars due to location, it's all about what you're looking for!

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was for the most part a pleasurable experience. The hotel is closely located to the MRT station so transportation is readily available. The hotel itself is nice, clean and the staff are friendly. There is breakfast buffet style at their restaurant near the check-in counter, Nice variety of breakfast items both Western style and Chinese cuisine. COVID safety rules are stringently enforced. The room is nice and spacious, has "Hello AI" capacity for voice command, offers nice bathroom with amenities, shower and little Japanese style bath, mini frig, safe with closet, flat screen TV with variety of channels, complimentary bottled water, No complaints for the room. The work out gym was out of order so that was a bummer. The hotel offers a Spa treatment as well. Problem with concierge though upon checking out with 7 pieces of luggage, no one was available to assist me with the loading of luggage, so negative star for lack of service. I would recommend this hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty nice. It's centrally located and only a five minute walk to the metro. The place is immaculately clean and bright. The rooms are a nice size. I love the double showers and the function on the toilet that washes your behind. The room key powers up the whole room. You stick it into this compartment by the door. Gone are the days of the hang tag that tells the housekeepers, "do not disturb." Now, you just press a button by the key compartment and it lights up the sign outside the door. They also have two restaurants in here. I tried one of them, La Fusion. It was standard. On the sixteenth floor is the fitness center. It's not too big but has a nice view of the city as you work out. It has cardio and weight machines. The workers are super nice and helpful. Whenever we wanted to go places, we would ask them and they'd give us a map and point us in the right direction.

Yelp
Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 92/100 I really liked this hotel. I would have given 5 stars except that the location wasn't as central as we expected. Luckily cabs are so cheap in Taiwan that it didn't matter. Rooms 5 stars - room was spacious with 3 beds. We had plenty of space for our luggage. Shower was good with excellent shower pressure. Location 3 stars - It is within walking distance of one shopping area and there is a Carrefour a block away if you like fast food. Otherwise you have to take a taxi or train to everywhere else Service 4 stars - Lobby staff are really nice and very helpful. They will call cabs for you and give the cab driver your destination. They also helped us make dinner reservations. The coffee shop and bakery next to the lobby is terrible. Service is so slow and the pastries aren't good.

Yelp
I booked this hotel via Orbitz and got a good deal with the airline ticket purchase, for almost half off its regular price. This is one of the few hotels in Taipei that as a fitness facility, with treadmills, eliptical machines, weights, etc. and a small outdoor jacuzzi, which you would have to pay to get in. They also have on-site massage, which I got for a 90-minute session and it was fantastic and definitely helped loosen my stiff back after the 13-hour flight from San Francisco. They also have a few on-site restaurants, including a Chinese buffet, Japanese and American as well as a bakery/cafe. The location is great too, near the Xi Men Ding, where you can get some shopping done for trendy but inexpensive clothing. Best of all, there is a Carrefour right across the street from the hotel and they are open 24/7. So the first night I was having jetlag and woke up hungry at 2 am and was able to walk over to Carrefour to find something to eat and do some shopping... Who knew this hotel can be so popular. After staying there for two nights I wanted to book for a few more days but they were fully booked all the way up for the following month! It was probably partially due to the Chinese new year, but I think with the amenities the room rate is relatively good compared to other hotels in the east side (and more trendy) side of Taipei. I would definitely come back next time I come to Taipei and need a hotel room!

Yelp
Stayed here for three nights with the family. Clean and serviceable, a bit off the beaten path but very convenient to the metro so a good choice if you feel comfortable navigating your way around on public transportation. The hotel has several restaurants, including a Japanese restaurant and steak house ... but they're expensive (as should be expected). We didn't eat there since ... well, you're in Taiwan so why would you go to a Japanese restaurant or s steakhouse?? Excellent local breakfast fare is available right near the hotel, from the local convenience store (Family Mart), food storefronts (tasty and freshly made youtiao, dzou bian, soubing, dumplings, soy milk - just name it), and street vendors. Two very nice coffee stores are nearby as well (Louisa and Ikari) if you need a latte or cappuccino fix. Just turn left immediately coming out of the hotel entrance, turn left at the first street (hotel bakery is on your left), walk down to the next street and turn right ... stay on that street and everything is within two to three blocks. For a lunch or evening meal, there is a great noodle shop down one of the side streets near the breakfast stores - unfortunately the name is entirely in Chinese so I can't remember or anglicize it here, but it is on the left hand side down the sidestreet immediately after passing the Subway.

Yelp
We stayed at the Taipei Garden Hotel during our last trip to Taiwan, it was part of a package deal, so I did not have any say in where to stay. It was quite the hassle to get here from the airport, since it was a smaller hotel without direct shuttle. They required you to take an airport shuttle to a bus terminal, then a second transfer all the small hotels in the area, which took a good hour wait until they make a trip to drop off the passengers one by one at the hotels in the area. Lesson learnt was to take a taxi. Despite the trouble getting here, the location was one thing I like about the hotel, it was located in the Ximending, translate to West Gate town, and you can do a lot of shopping within walking distance. The lobby was decorated nicely and staffs were quite friendly here. The rooms were quite clean, and the beds were actually big compared to most hotels in Asia. They do have nice view of the whole city from the rooms, and you should be able to snap some nice pictures too. Overall, it was a nice cozy little hotel, but I still prefer the international brand ones more.

Yelp
Have not stayed there - but their coffee shop, which is close to many other tourist sites and shopping areas - and provides a good breakfast, good coffee and pastries which are exquisite. Its also in a very walk-able area of the city. Maybe next time we'll stay there.
