2nd visit - 2nd time satisfied. I actually love this hotel. The location is very central and close to markets and grocery stores. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large with added amenities plus are clean and welcoming. The breakfast is probably the best we have had in Taiwan - especially the fresh & crunchy salads and dan dan noodles. Gotta love the daily bag for self-yourself candies. You can’t go wrong here!

I had an amazing six-night stay here! I'm usually very particular about cleanliness, and this hotel truly stood out. I was so relieved to find my room, bedding, and washroom were all absolutely spotless. They have daily housekeeping and provide fresh towels, which was fantastic. I also loved having a great coffee machine right in the room! It made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay that totally met my expectations. On top of it all, the location is perfect for sightseeing—it's super close to Lungshan Temple, CKS Memorial Hall, and the Ximending night market, with a metro station just a short walk away. I'm so happy I chose this place!

Google
I wouldn't recommend the room which I had booked if you're traveling with an elderly (Quadruple). Their Tub and Shower Head is combined, with a step up and glass panel to prevent water from spilling to the rest of the bathroom floor. It was quite dangerous especially for elderly to go up and down the shower area. The kids definitely had fun in the tub, but I'd better appreciate if they had a separate shower/bathtub instead. Apart from that, housekeeping staff were spotless and kept the room neat and clean. You get two plastic bag to pick up snacks from the cafe that is located beside the hotel. They're quite sticky with breakfast timing, if it's 9.45am, they'd remind you that breakfast is ending and hurry to pick up your items. Appreciate if they have some flexibility in their turnaround time as traveling with kids, especially in a country that is highly popular for night market can result in late mornings too. It's quite a walk to Ximending, if you're traveling with young ones, I suggest not to book here as it is also far away from the station. At least a 10minutes stroll. The nearest laundromat is diagonally across the building opposite where Carrefour is. There is a dominant number of Japanese and Korean staying in the hotel as well. No issues with that!

Here’s a natur ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taipei Garden Hotel Taipei Garden Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The rooms are spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, offering a very comfortable stay after a long day out. The bed was excellent, and the soundproofing ensured a quiet and restful night. Service was warm, professional, and attentive throughout the stay. Staff were always helpful, whether it was assisting with directions or arranging transport. The location is also a big plus — convenient access to public transport, yet peaceful enough to feel like a true retreat from the city. Facilities are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels premium without being overwhelming. A great balance of comfort, convenience, and value. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei.

Google
Arrival & Lobby The lobby area is indeed quite small, but it is functional and acceptable. Room Experience The room felt modern and high-tech, with AI-enabled voice command controls. Upon entering, the AI system gave a voice welcome and explained that guests could control lights and air-conditioning using voice commands. Unfortunately, this did not work as promised. The biggest issue was the air-conditioning. The temperature was locked at 21°C and could not be adjusted, either by voice command or manual controls. This became especially uncomfortable during the last two nights when the weather outside turned colder and temperature in the room dropped to 19-20°C. I contacted reception, but they said there was nothing they can do to adjust temperature but only option was to adjust the fan speed to low, which I had already done. It is very difficult to rest comfortably in a room that stays at around 20°C constantly. In comparison, my children’s room was defaulted to 24°C (also not adjustable), but was at least more comfortable. Another small frustration was the curtain system, which only allows fully open or fully closed, with no in-between option. Breakfast The breakfast spread was good and offered a decent variety. What I Liked The location is convenient, with Carrefour and McDonald’s nearby. Highlight of this hotel is the children’s snack bar, where kids can freely take snacks. This made the stay really memorable and fun for my children. Final Thoughts I would happily give this hotel 5 stars if they fix the air-conditioning system to allow guests to adjust the temperature.

Google
I had a very pleasant stay at Taipei Garden Hotel. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the MRT station and close to popular spots like Ximending and Longshan Temple. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and a nice city view. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with directions or recommendations. Breakfast offered a good variety of both Western and Taiwanese dishes, fresh and tasty. The hotel also has convenient facilities such as a gym, spa, and laundry room, making it a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. Overall, it’s a modern, comfortable, and well-located hotel that offers great value for the price. A great dining experience at One Steak House. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a nice dinner or special occasion. The steaks were cooked perfectly — juicy, tender, and full of flavor.

Google
Great hotel, really enjoyed our stay. Booked a Luxury room and had a great view, spacious room, and a very comfortable stay. The only odd thing was that we could not get the entry way and hall lights to shut off. And the main lights in the room could only be shut off via the in room AI service. Breakfast was decent, nothing spectacular but was tasty. Had lunch in the dining hall once and it was a lot better than the breakfast we had. Much more options and the dessert bar was surprisingly exquisite. Great location to pretty much everything. Very close to the famous 皇家帝國麻辣火鍋 which is a must try

Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights with family last July 2 to 4. The location was perfect — just a 10–15 minute walk from the train station, with plenty of 7-Eleven stores nearby and a large Carrefour open 24/7. It’s also within walking distance of Bopiliao Historic Block and Lungshan Temple. Irene at Reception was very friendly, and our check-in experience was smooth. The rooms were spacious, high-tech, and very clean. The breakfast buffet offered a well-balanced selection. The hotel café bar provided free kids' snacks, which my daughter loved — she had fun trying different Taiwanese treats. We were warmly greeted and assisted by Lisa and Peter from Concierge, who were both incredibly kind and helpful. They also guided us in arranging our airport transfer. We had a great time staying here and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Yelp
Great location, walking distance to Ximending. The front entrance was a bit confusing as they blocked off the main entrance and required guests to go through the two smaller side automatic doors (also the doors don't seem to open until your face is almost touching and there's no button to push either). Staff was very friendly and courteous, quick to help guests when they walk in. Our deluxe room was pretty spacious and large. I was told most rooms come with 2 beds put together as a king by default, but you can request they separate the beds if you want. There was a free bag of Kuai Kuai (corn snack) upon arriving. The room is also super "smart" and there's an AI/smart hub that'll listen to you but it just kept opening the blinds whenever we walked into the room. The separated shower/tub area from the toilet was nice, but there were no hooks/towel racks in the toilet room, so nowhere to dry your hands after using the toilet. Sink counter space was also pretty limited. The fitness center was on the 16th floor and was very fairly small, though seemed like it would have a good view during the day. All in all, it was a very nice hotel with very convenient location. It is still a bit of a walk to the nearest MRT station so keep that in mind.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. What a wonderful hotel! Highly recommended, even for large families! Service is excellent and walking distance to everything you need! Don't think it's fair that they've received less than 5 stars due to location, it's all about what you're looking for!

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was for the most part a pleasurable experience. The hotel is closely located to the MRT station so transportation is readily available. The hotel itself is nice, clean and the staff are friendly. There is breakfast buffet style at their restaurant near the check-in counter, Nice variety of breakfast items both Western style and Chinese cuisine. COVID safety rules are stringently enforced. The room is nice and spacious, has "Hello AI" capacity for voice command, offers nice bathroom with amenities, shower and little Japanese style bath, mini frig, safe with closet, flat screen TV with variety of channels, complimentary bottled water, No complaints for the room. The work out gym was out of order so that was a bummer. The hotel offers a Spa treatment as well. Problem with concierge though upon checking out with 7 pieces of luggage, no one was available to assist me with the loading of luggage, so negative star for lack of service. I would recommend this hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty nice. It's centrally located and only a five minute walk to the metro. The place is immaculately clean and bright. The rooms are a nice size. I love the double showers and the function on the toilet that washes your behind. The room key powers up the whole room. You stick it into this compartment by the door. Gone are the days of the hang tag that tells the housekeepers, "do not disturb." Now, you just press a button by the key compartment and it lights up the sign outside the door. They also have two restaurants in here. I tried one of them, La Fusion. It was standard. On the sixteenth floor is the fitness center. It's not too big but has a nice view of the city as you work out. It has cardio and weight machines. The workers are super nice and helpful. Whenever we wanted to go places, we would ask them and they'd give us a map and point us in the right direction.

Yelp
Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 92/100 I really liked this hotel. I would have given 5 stars except that the location wasn't as central as we expected. Luckily cabs are so cheap in Taiwan that it didn't matter. Rooms 5 stars - room was spacious with 3 beds. We had plenty of space for our luggage. Shower was good with excellent shower pressure. Location 3 stars - It is within walking distance of one shopping area and there is a Carrefour a block away if you like fast food. Otherwise you have to take a taxi or train to everywhere else Service 4 stars - Lobby staff are really nice and very helpful. They will call cabs for you and give the cab driver your destination. They also helped us make dinner reservations. The coffee shop and bakery next to the lobby is terrible. Service is so slow and the pastries aren't good.

Yelp
I booked this hotel via Orbitz and got a good deal with the airline ticket purchase, for almost half off its regular price. This is one of the few hotels in Taipei that as a fitness facility, with treadmills, eliptical machines, weights, etc. and a small outdoor jacuzzi, which you would have to pay to get in. They also have on-site massage, which I got for a 90-minute session and it was fantastic and definitely helped loosen my stiff back after the 13-hour flight from San Francisco. They also have a few on-site restaurants, including a Chinese buffet, Japanese and American as well as a bakery/cafe. The location is great too, near the Xi Men Ding, where you can get some shopping done for trendy but inexpensive clothing. Best of all, there is a Carrefour right across the street from the hotel and they are open 24/7. So the first night I was having jetlag and woke up hungry at 2 am and was able to walk over to Carrefour to find something to eat and do some shopping... Who knew this hotel can be so popular. After staying there for two nights I wanted to book for a few more days but they were fully booked all the way up for the following month! It was probably partially due to the Chinese new year, but I think with the amenities the room rate is relatively good compared to other hotels in the east side (and more trendy) side of Taipei. I would definitely come back next time I come to Taipei and need a hotel room!

Yelp
Stayed here for three nights with the family. Clean and serviceable, a bit off the beaten path but very convenient to the metro so a good choice if you feel comfortable navigating your way around on public transportation. The hotel has several restaurants, including a Japanese restaurant and steak house ... but they're expensive (as should be expected). We didn't eat there since ... well, you're in Taiwan so why would you go to a Japanese restaurant or s steakhouse?? Excellent local breakfast fare is available right near the hotel, from the local convenience store (Family Mart), food storefronts (tasty and freshly made youtiao, dzou bian, soubing, dumplings, soy milk - just name it), and street vendors. Two very nice coffee stores are nearby as well (Louisa and Ikari) if you need a latte or cappuccino fix. Just turn left immediately coming out of the hotel entrance, turn left at the first street (hotel bakery is on your left), walk down to the next street and turn right ... stay on that street and everything is within two to three blocks. For a lunch or evening meal, there is a great noodle shop down one of the side streets near the breakfast stores - unfortunately the name is entirely in Chinese so I can't remember or anglicize it here, but it is on the left hand side down the sidestreet immediately after passing the Subway.

Yelp
We stayed at the Taipei Garden Hotel during our last trip to Taiwan, it was part of a package deal, so I did not have any say in where to stay. It was quite the hassle to get here from the airport, since it was a smaller hotel without direct shuttle. They required you to take an airport shuttle to a bus terminal, then a second transfer all the small hotels in the area, which took a good hour wait until they make a trip to drop off the passengers one by one at the hotels in the area. Lesson learnt was to take a taxi. Despite the trouble getting here, the location was one thing I like about the hotel, it was located in the Ximending, translate to West Gate town, and you can do a lot of shopping within walking distance. The lobby was decorated nicely and staffs were quite friendly here. The rooms were quite clean, and the beds were actually big compared to most hotels in Asia. They do have nice view of the whole city from the rooms, and you should be able to snap some nice pictures too. Overall, it was a nice cozy little hotel, but I still prefer the international brand ones more.

Yelp
Have not stayed there - but their coffee shop, which is close to many other tourist sites and shopping areas - and provides a good breakfast, good coffee and pastries which are exquisite. Its also in a very walk-able area of the city. Maybe next time we'll stay there.
