Environment is clean and orderly. Goods on offer is plentiful and really fresh. Visited during the 新北好茶 so I was thrilled by all the best Taiwanese teas on offer

My favorite place in Taipei!! I have to come here every time. Super fresh produce. Some you can buy and eat on the spot (like pineapple, boiled eggs)

It's always interesting to experience local markets and buy non-highly processed produce. I bought dried goods that I could bring home. I would've bought more if I had been staying for more days. The fresh vegetables and fruits looked amazing.

A Slice of Authentic Taiwan: The Hope Plaza Farmers Market While Taipei is renowned for its vibrant night markets, a different kind of culinary treasure awaits on the weekends, one that offers a truly genuine glimpse into local life. The Hope Plaza Farmers Market is a favorite among residents and savvy visitors alike, a place where the connection between the land and the table is palpable, and the atmosphere is as fresh as the produce. Upon arrival, the market feels less like a tourist destination and more like a community gathering. It's a place where you can experience the genuine rhythm of a local market, free from the overwhelming crowds often found elsewhere. The air is filled with a sense of purpose and a cheerful buzz as people browse for their weekly groceries. The friendly demeanor of everyone working the booths is immediately apparent. They are more than just vendors; they are the farmers themselves, eager to share stories about their produce and offer samples with a warm smile. The produce on display is a feast for the eyes. The fresh vegetables and fruits are simply magnificent, their vibrant colors and plump textures a clear sign of their quality. It is a joy to find offerings that are not highly processed, allowing you to appreciate the pure, natural goodness of Taiwanese agriculture. I had the pleasure of buying and enjoying some of the items on the spot, like a perfectly ripe pineapple or a hard-boiled egg, a small but memorable part of the experience. Beyond the fresh produce, the market is a treasure trove of regional specialties. The vendors here hail from all over Taiwan, bringing with them a diverse range of seasonal delights. I was particularly drawn to the dried goods, and ended up purchasing several items to bring back home. It was a tempting challenge to resist buying more, a feeling I'm sure many visitors share, especially when faced with the amazing variety. The Hope Plaza Farmers Market is a place of simple, honest pleasure. It is the perfect spot for anyone who wants to connect with the local culture, purchase authentic souvenirs, or simply enjoy the feeling of a friendly, community-oriented space. It is no wonder that it is a go-to place for so many locals and a favorite destination for those lucky enough to discover it. Verdict: I cannot recommend the Hope Plaza Farmers Market highly enough. Its fresh, high-quality produce and friendly, authentic atmosphere make it a must-visit. For travelers looking to experience a more local side of Taipei, or for anyone who appreciates the pure goodness of farm-to-table food and unique local gifts, this weekend market is a perfect choice.

This place host the local farmers market every weekend. You can find all sorts of local produce here. I was told it's not easy to obtain a spot to sell here, with strict quality checks for unapproved chemicals. It's worth a visit if you happen to be in Taipei over the weekend.

Farmers from different parts of Taiwan gather here every weekend with seasonal fruits and vegetables. Different vendors each week depending on what's in season and if they've been selected in the lottery. Super fresh fruits and vegetables, with a huge organic section. There are a few stalls selling other produces like tea, honey, bread as well as meats and seafood. Things are well priced. There's also an area of cooked foods, with seating area for dining in - also in association with different agricultural associations. It's always a nice surprise as the vendors change every week. The space is covered, with good ventilation and fans. Even in peak summer, the market feels airy and comfortable. A wonderful weekend activity, great for families!
