The 11 Best Boba Shops In Miami

"This North Miami Beach spot is another place doing that most summer-appropriate combination of shaved ice and boba tea. There are more milk tea options than fruit tea options here. But you can customize your level of sweetness, which kind of milk you want, and pick from a dozen toppings that range from classic boba to lychee popping boba. This place is also close to Oleta State Park, and makes for a great stop after a day of trying not to fall off your paddleboard." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

The Best Shaved Ice In Miami

"What you’ll find at this North Miami spot is technically shaved ice in that it is made of ice and it is shaved—but it’s quite different from the other versions on this guide. Most shaved ice desserts consist of water-based ice and all the flavor comes from syrups and toppings. Here, the flavor is in the ice itself because it's made out of flavored milk. Because of this, the ice crystals form differently and you get these beautiful, impossibly thin ribbons instead of little granules. We love the mango flavor, which tastes like a Miami summer and feels like Dippin Dots’ sexy cousin. You can add all sorts of candy to it like a kindergartner at a yogurt shop, but we stick to a drizzle of condensed milk and some fresh fruit." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, carlos c olaechea

Google
“Flavor, service, and vibes! All five stars.” The Thai milk tea and mango milk tea were incredible, and the boba was perfect. The team was super welcoming. We also tried the Reese’s Puffs shaved ice cream—it’s so cold, creamy, and doesn’t melt too fast. Loved it.

I had an incredible experience at Taiwan Ice! To start, the shop is so cute and decorated beautifully. Nadia, Genesis and Aleni were all so amazing and helpful. I wasn’t sure what milk tea to order and Nadia made some really helpful recommendations which I loved loved loved. My Taro Milk tea was SO GOOD and the ice cream was bomb! My sister also really enjoyed her strawberry milk tea. Definitely recommend this place 10/10 :)

Google
Family owned authentic Taiwanese ice cream/ Boba shop. The owner is so welcoming, explained the menu and helped pick out delicious options. My brother and I went and it was a fantastic first experience. Will be going back!

Google
This place has a great amount of quality, flavors, and way more. You can’t go wrong with a mango milk tea from here. I come here almost every day just to try out their drinks.

Google
First time here and got the regular strawberry fruit tea. I’ve been trying different boba places in Miami always ordering strawberry fruit tea, and Taiwan Ice gotta have the best flavor yet. You can tell it’s good quality compared to cheap powder flavor other companies use. I was a bit disappointed by the standard size, but for such flavor I won’t complain. 1000/10

Google
Karen is so sweet and the taro drink with boba was the most amazing but yet settling drink I’ve had. Thank you! Def recommend! Going back!

Google
Absolutely delighted! The quality of the ice cream is outstanding. The only thing that I recommend is changing the Christmas decor. It’s now May. I highly recommend the taro snow ice. We also had the rolled ice cream and it was delicious 😋

Google
This was the perfect stop for a late night craving! The Boba tea honey dew was amazing! Ice cream was light and just enough sweetness. Will definitely visit again!

Yelp
Taiwan Ice has a great variety of dofferent drinks, snacks, and ice creams. They have creamy shaved ice. We tried the matcha and sesame flavors, which were both great. The staff was nice and everything was clean, but a little bit crowded.

Yelp
We've been to so many ice cream, gelato, and fro-yo shops over the years. Taiwan Ice is special. Their rolled ice cream is so fun to eat and the Taiwan Snow Ice was a delight. It's so light you feel like a kid eating flavored snowflakes. So many toppings and the staff was so friendly and service quick. So clean and the ambiance was relaxing. They have earned a new regular.

Yelp
Not only we waited for 25 minutes to get only 2 fruit teas, but also they ended up to be waaaayyy too sweet! Both were requested with 70% less sweet and whatever we got is undrinkable....doesn't even taste like a tea. Just water with sugar....wasted money...need up throwing those away

Yelp
Pina Colada Slush | 25% sugar | Black sugar boba. Mango Snow Ice Cream | Mochi | Rainbow Jelly | Condensed Milk

Yelp
The black sesame snow ice was sooo yummy! It is nice to find a place in Florida that serves black sesame snow ice. Service was good because the staff there is friendly. It is a cute little shop perfect for bubble tea and a snack.
google avatar

Yelp
I had ordered from a nearby restaurant via Uber Eats and was craving a bubble tea. Uber Eats has this feature where you can add on to your order from convenience stores and some specialty shops (think ice cream, donuts, etc) at no extra delivery charge. Taiwan Ice popped so I was like "hell yes!" The bubble tea was a little pricey, but I was impressed by all the things you could add to your drink. Next time I'll probably choose 25% sweetness, as it was a bit too sweet for me at 50%, but overall, my bubble tea was delicious. Fresh taro paste in a taro bubble tea is a game changer!
google avatar

Kenny L.

Yelp
Nowadays it's all about technology and what you can showoff! Taiwan Ice, a spinoff and creative way of getting and eating ice cream! I got to see my coffee ice cream come to life from liquid form to ice! Man, it's a workout for the employee to scrape the iced cream in a perfect roll. After you select what flavor ice cream you want, after they roll it, then you select your toppings. What makes this unique is the offerings of toppings! I chose a tapioca based boba and fresh taro paste. Wow. Just wow. Delicious in everyway and so unique! For about $7, it's not bad whatsoever. They were very friendly as well and such a quaint little place to go after school or the beach! Well, even just like a reward. :) Shout-out to Toni for her patience, great customer service and friendlyness!

Yelp
I tried the black sesame ice with mochi, coconut flakes, and a drizzle of condensed milk. The black sesame flavor reminded me of halva--rich and unique. Surprisingly, it was better without the toppings, as the simplicity of the flavor really stood out on its own. Overall, it's a solid 4-star experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more flavors!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! I order from Uber Eats all the time & the order is always on point. I can't get enough of the Cookie Tornado it is sooo good!

Yelp
I've never been very impressed by this place. Make sure you use the self-serve terminal or all these people will butt ahead of you in line. When I went there recently, there were two or three people standing at the counter and no one was at the terminal so I figured it wasn't working and so I waited and ordered, and when I was almost ready to order two young women came in and ordered at the terminal and a young man as well, so they all got their orders before me and my order also didn't have Boba in it which I wanted, plus they are very slow. They are nice but they can't handle a crowd very well and they had 3 baristas working at the same time. It's hard to find bubble tea around here so I'm kind of stuck. At least it tasted good.

Gabriela C.

Yelp
The tea we ordered was inconsistent & didn't taste like thai tea at all. We ordered the exact same thing but one drink was super sweet & tasted like iced condensed milk while the other one was really bitter.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this place! So many options and everything tasted great. Fantastic customer service too. We tried both the Taro Snowy/Slushy milk tea and normal Taro bubble tea. The normal Taro is much better. We also liked the black sugar boba more than the regular boba (it's sweeter!). It's too expensive for boba either, although their small cup is smaller than other places. The rolled ice cream was really good and comes with 3 toppings (which can include boba!). We tried the Nutella flavor which was great. The Taiwanese snow ice cream looked great and we'll definitely have to try it next time. Cute place too with fun decorations.

Yelp
Authentic ice cream rolls and bubble tea. The size of the rolls is enough for two kids to share and the small (16oz) bubble tea is just right for a nice drink. Some flavors they did not have and the shop needs some TLC. There's not a lot of tables to sit and sip best to just pick up and go.
google avatar

Tyler A.

Yelp
Good Boba but it used to be better, maybe different owners. The ice cream is a great concept and very different from other ice cream places in the area. I love the decor of the shop with the huge blackboard walls. I recommend coming here on a hot summer day.
google avatar

Ivan V.

Yelp
They have very good taro milk tea, the shop itself has a lot of charm with some type of calm music always playing and having some beautiful paintings hanging on the wall.

Alejandro S.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our experience at Taiwan Ice! The taro flavor tastes amazing, you can tell it is homemade. Karen was very polite and enthusiastic about the business. Definitely coming back!

Bahdan Y.

Yelp
amazing boba and Icecream , really good service love it here amazing if you're craving boba
google avatar

Gaby C.

Yelp
Used to love it here. My tea today was terrible. Got a slushy with green tea. Was pure ice and was barely able to drink it. Also I got 25 percent sweet. Before that used to be plenty- now has no flavor. Total waste of $7.

Felicia V.

Yelp
LITERALLY THE BEST! Has such a variety of toppings and drinks! And delicious! The ice cream is amazing and the boba is amazing!
google avatar

Francesca D.

Yelp
Perfect 10 of a bubble drink! 30% sweetness was just right. Most places don't have honeydew so this place is definitely legit. The tapioca boba was fresh, the right amount of chewy, and the ideal amount that gave a couple boba with each sip. Staff was nice and quick. I didn't get to try the rolled up ice cream, but it looked good. Definitely going to stop here for a bubble drink whenever I pass through the area.

Yelp
Swung by for a pick up order a few days ago. We ordered the Tiramisu Coffee w/ boba and Taro Slush w/ boba. The Tiramisu Coffee was pretty good for a nice cool, afternoon pick me up! The taro was pretty good too! The place inside is nice looking. They have plenty of seats but also offer pick up options on their website, which worked out great for us so Kudos. We will probably be back since it's on the way to a destination we often frequent.

Yelp
These desserts are adorable, but they're not one of those cutesie foods where the taste doesn't match. The flavor is on point too. If you want a fun and unique dessert that also tastes good, look no further. A rolled ice cream is $6.50 at time of writing. Portion size is generous and comes with a drizzle, whipped cream, and three toppings. I had matcha with mochi, gummy bears, fruity pebbles, and condensed milk and it was delicious. Also tried a sip of the taro boba and it was flavorful with good texture. Service was good. They were super busy but also quick and helpful. Note that they don't currently have snow and have apparently not had it for a few months. Unclear if it's coming back but I hope so. I don't think there are that many other places offering it around here and I want to come back for more of their quality desserts.

Yelp
Not a ton of boba shops in Miami and they're all spread out, but Taiwan Ice is the perfect place to go after a day at the beach. They have all the manner of refreshing dessert options, from the aforementioned bubble teas to rolled up ice cream to snow ice, it's perfect for the climate. My wife got a black sesame shaved ice with mochi as she's a sucker for all things black sesame. It's a strong flavor but hits the nutty notes just fine if you're into that, but balanced by the perfectly fluffy snow ice, it's delicious. I tried the peach mojito green tea with pearls and it's a refreshing indulgence of fruit tea with a hint of mint. While you can adjust the sweetness on this one, I would recommend staying at 75% min, otherwise you don't get the fruity notes as much. I rarely don't get milk tea at a boba shop, but this is an instance where I think it's worth it.

Yelp
Nice and slow - they were very friendly and nice and patiently made the order. We ordered green tea and coffee cream - it was not too sweet so it was a great balance! Please clean the cobwebs on your lights on top of the bar area!!!
google avatar

Jared U.

Yelp
yummers.. my daughter is always after me for boba and this is our new go to.. so far haven't had anything too sweet, which is rad all by itself.. today we had a honeydew slush with the best tapioca i've had (i'd actually taken to asking for no boba cuz reasons, but theirs is good!!) and lychee snow ice with popping mango.. dude, i'm new to snow ice and holy crap what a treat!! excited to try their ice cream rolls.. so many flavors and ways to enjoy!! yeah, i joined the points club thingy cuz we will def be going regularly..
google avatar

Yelp
Rolled ice cream with a twist is what this place is. Took my little cousin here for her birthday and she loved it. I didn't get the Taiwan Snow ice but I noticed it comes in a cute lightbulb container. I definitely can see why this place is a crowd favorite
google avatar

Anastasiya E.

Yelp
I love this place! They have the best, most unique desserts and best bubble tea. You can't get any shaved snow like this anywhere, at least nowhere close. The flavors and toppings are delicious. This is my go to place! I come here at least once a week.
google avatar

renee a.

Yelp
20 mins wait for a drink (boba fruit tea). Because only one worker can make ice cream and the only other worker has to take orders AND make the drinks. So when there's a long line at the cashier no one is making the drinks ..... mad annoying .... Never coming back
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
I was looking for a bubble tea then I saw taro ice cream, so I changed my mind and tried no regrets! Also my toppings were tapioca and lychee popping! So good. love it! Next time I'm gonna try bubble tea. The instrumental music made the vibe even better and the service was nice. Thank you so much! definitely love it

Yelp
We got boba and some ice cream and weren't impressed, unfortunately. The icecream kept falling apart, I've had roll up icecream at almost every shop that sells it and this one was crumbling, the flavor was good but had severe stomach pain when I got home. The boba was good, tapioca was sooooo squishy falling apart too idk if that means it was fresh or getting old. The price was a bit steep too. $16 for a tiny boba smoothie and icecream. We won't be back but I'm glad I tried it.

Pam W.

Yelp
This is the REAL / original Taiwan Ice, the one on Biscayne Blvd. Don't let any others fool you. I'm so happy to see they're open again. This is my spot for shaved ice cream. If you haven't tried it yet, go for it... chocolate is my go-to flavor.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
I LOVE Taiwan ice, i go here all the time and it is one of my all time favorites. Super cute tiny place, the service is awesome everyone there is super sweet and fun. The taro slush there is amazing one of the best most authentic boba shops I found around miami that is not overly watered down. I also recommend the matcha slush although I only like it with tapioca pearls and usually ask them not to add any jelly boba in it. Taiwan ice is also super great with Uber eats or DoorDash, it is almost instantly ready when ordered for the drivers to pick up and stays cold.
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
Thought this place was a good bubble tea spot due to the reviews, however, their cream, brûlée tea only tasted like crème brûlée the first two sips, the rest was just plain watery. The other tea we got was fine nothing special. The only good thing was their rolled ice cream unfortunately for toppings we only got one and a half pieces of pocky in a few pieces of mochi. Trying to love this place, but this was our experience
google avatar

Angelo R.

Yelp
I used to drive 30-45 minutes to get my Bubble Tea fix until Taiwan Ice opened near my home. It's only 10 minutes away and its in the same plaza as Ginza, one of my favorite sushi buffets. So it's the perfect place to have dessert after filling up from the buffet, if you have room. Taiwan Ice is a small counter service shop but they do have a few tables. Besides bubble tea, they also offer Taiwan Snow Ice and of course, the "made to order" Ice Cream Rolls. You can go crazy with flavors here from fruity flavors like Mango, Honey Due, Strawberry or go with the classic chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. I love the fruit bubble teas so I get the Mango or Strawberry with classic boba or popping ones. Bubble teas come in 16oz or 20oz and they're between $4 to $6. I always upgrade to the lightbulb cup for extra 50 cents so I can take it home and reuse it for cocktails..lol :) I've been coming here a lot lately cause it's getting really hot in Miami so it's nice that I can grab something cold and refreshing nearby. I honestly haven't tried the ice cream rolls because the portion is quite big for one person. I'll just have to come back with my peeps next time.
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
We went for dinner at a Mexican place in this plaza, and then decided to check out Taiwan Ice afterwards. I have had shaved ice before, in Ann Arbor, but it was a long time ago. It turns out both the rolled ice cream AND the shaved ice have dairy, so I ended up getting bubble tea (made with non-dairy creamer) and lychee jellies. My friend got the Hershey's rolled ice cream, and it was fun to watch them make it. We have some rolled ice cream places by us but it's just now starting to become a trend. I tried a bite of hers, as well, and it was very good - kind of tasted like Dippin' Dots to me. My bubble tea was about $4, which is fair, and her ice cream was about $6.25, she said, but was very large. Only reason they get 4 stars vs. 5 is that the bathroom smelled AWFUL - I'm not sure why, but it smelled like horse manure. Ick.
google avatar

Alejandra A.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place with my mom and my aunt. We went every single day to get out slushies or teas depending on the mood lol customer service is awesome, they already knew what we would order and were very fast even when the store was super busy. Hopefully this will open again
google avatar

Luis Orlando B.

Yelp
Súper sabrosos los helados y la forma de servirlos y su elaboración además el sabor y el lichy le da buena combinación de sabor
google avatar

Marina K.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorite to have a bubble milk tea. I personally like Honeydew flavor and always order the same. The place inside looking pretty neat and nice. Very clean! I love the menu on the wall besides the one they have on their counter. They do everything quick and have variety of cup sides. Too bad at the time of my arrival they were run out of large cups, so I had to order this unique "bulb" cup because the size was larger than a small one. I also heard that they have the best ice cream as well but didn't had a chance to try it. Next time it's better to go with kids. The location is great: located on one of the busiest roads and the only negative thing that I don't like is traffic. Not always, but very offer, and I'm not mentioning the traffic days/times (like early morning and evening). It's ridiculous to stay 1 mile for 11 mins .
google avatar

Vivien C.

Yelp
Cute little bubble tea stop with other cold-dessert options like snow ice and rolled ice cream. They have a high tapioca to milk tea ratio, so get ready to chew! Most drinks are made with non-dairy creamer, and a "dirty boba" option made with almond milk. There is a good selection of classic and unique flavors. I decided to venture out of my go-to green milk tea / taro and tried the lavender milk tea. Not a very strong lavender flavor, but the taste kind of reminded me of ginger snaps. Unexpected but pleasantly surprised! There is an option to get the bubble tea in a lightbulb for additional charge, available only for the 20oz size (get to keep the bulb as a keepsake). The snow ice is very fine consistency, closer to ice cream. We tried the taro flavor which was good. The mochi topping was too sweet on its own but paired well with the ice. On the pricier side but a worthwhile dessert to try!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. Consistent and delicious. Very friendly staff. You have to try the Macau tart, it's unreal!
google avatar

Vancy S.

Yelp
I love the Taiwanese ice cream and milk teas here! The ice cream comes with your choice of delicious toppings, so many types of jellies to choose from. My favorite boba tea is the lychee fruit tea! Stop in if you are looking to cool down.
google avatar

Yelp
Bubble tea excites me on different realms. I stumbled upon this place through Yelp and decided to pay them a visit to get my boba on. The hardest part sometimes is picking a flavor but once I spotted out the Dirty Boba concoction, I knew that was my destiny. I awaited my order as I glanced at an ice cream treat being crafted for some eager children aside me. A few quick shakes and stirs later, my boba tea was perfectly mixed with the side linings of brown sugar syrup and the milky content. They don't use artificial powders to flavor their bubble tea, everything is made in house using top-notch ingredients worthy of your attention. I love this spot and look forward to coming back for more. Solid A+ in my book. Plus, the customer service was great. Make sure to register your number at checkout for the rewards program!
google avatar

Daniela M.

Yelp
Was craving some boba and did a quick search and found this place. So glad I did, the taro milk tea was delicious and not too sweet, service was friendly. Will be back to try their rolled ice cream, it looks so good that I was tempted to try that as well.

Gaby P.

Yelp
best boba in miami. very good and always sweet staff. cute vibes and good prices . i come here all the time and there is no better place !!
google avatar

Thuha N.

Yelp
We got there just there just before closing time, so it was a bit chaotic. Some flavor was out, but we we were able to get mostly what we wanted: I opted for macha ice cream roll with mochi toping, my friends seem to enjoy their refreshing mango smoothie (a little too watery to me, but it was a welcome to our very warm night) and jasmin tea with 75% sugar (75% was def sweet enough). There is no seating currently (Aug/Sep 2020), and we did have to wait a while to order and wait some more outside to get the drinks.
google avatar

Arhlene A.

Yelp
Love the bubble tea and all the different flavors of pearls go there when it's super hot outside
google avatar

Naomi K.

Yelp
Decent milk tea lots of options. Tapioca was well made. Only two workers and two people ahead in line took a bit of time but at least everything is made to order. They did have bathrooms in the back and everyone was following covid distancing and masks. Plenty of parking in strip mall plaza.
google avatar

Yelp
Slowly and surely, Taiwan Ice has gained a cult following. Or it appears that way at any rate. I have consistently heard of this versatile ice cream shop that has become known for its signature ice cream rolls. Yes, I am aware that others have done ice cream rolls, but this is the first that caught my eye. With their creative concoctions full of flavor, it was only a matter of time until I visited. Passed by last Friday after dinner and I was accompanied by my boyfriend. Entered and what a rush of people. It seemed everyone in town was there and we wondered how long it would take to order. For the little amount of employees, the line disappeared quickly. Within five, maybe ten minutes, we had placed our indulgent orders and were waiting. Note that seating is a bit limited, so good luck. On the positive side, this trendy spot is in a plaza full of parking. It is placed next to a popular sushi buffet though, so parking can be a bit difficult during peak hours. Despite that, this is a game changer. A visit to this ice cream shop will introduce you to a new world full of inventive flavors and toppings. Oh, and they do boba tea and shaved ice as well. On this occasion, we went for their ice cream rolls. Each has a unique name and there are about ten flavors. My boyfriend had the Dark Knight, while I chose the First Kiss. Regardless of flavor, for the ice cream rolls, one size fits all. There are five rolls per cup, as well as your choice of whipped cream and three toppings. The Dark Knight my boyfriend had was Hershey's flavored ice cream. He opted out of the whipped cream and had his rolls with chocolate pocky sticks, green tea mochi, and an Oreo cookie. As for my First Kiss, that was strawberry ice cream. I, too, opted out of whipped cream, so my First Kiss consisted of fruit mochi, chocolate pocky sticks, and a toasted marshmallow. My boyfriend enjoyed his ice cream. I, on the other hand, did more than enjoy. I fell in love. In fact, I loved it so much I drank my ice cream. This means that I even finished the melted bits. I cannot recall the last time I felt so enraptured by dessert, but if this is just the ice cream rolls, I cannot wait to try the boba tea and shaved ice. I know that for the boba tea, there are at least several sizes. Talk about dangerous!

Yelp
Taiwan ice is by far one of the best boba shops in North Miami Beach. There are a variety of flavors and combinations you could choose from. The prices are fair and the quality is on point. There are a variety of milk teas, teas and juices. There are regular bobas, popping bobas (lychee, pineapple, strawberry flavored), gress jelly, fruit jelly and pudding that you can put as topping on your icecream and boba. There is also shaved ice that's available in different flavors. My favorite drink there has been Thai tea and favorite ice cream is honeydew so I recommend giving those a try. Taiwan ice is a small and quiet venue so if you plan going with a big group I suggest not being too loud and not too stay too long so other guest can enjoy the atmosphere. The customer service is really good, from the many times I've been there I've never had a bad experience.
