I had my henna party at this hall this past weekend. While the venue itself was beautiful, the experience was unfortunately ruined by the incredibly unprofessional behavior of the owner.
Just as we were getting into the speeches, a really emotional and special part of the night, the owner abruptly approached me demanding payment, and did so in a very rude and aggressive manner. I was confused, as my mom had organized the event, so I told him to speak with her. Instead of handling the situation calmly or discreetly, he walked off giving me a hostile look and was accompanied by another individual (a shorter female) who also stood nearby glaring at guests.
He then went to my aunt, who had nothing to do with the financial side and made her feel uncomfortable as well. I later learned he eventually interrupted our MC, who did have the payment. Again, this could have been handled so differently.
There is a time and place for everything, and in the middle of a celebration, especially during speeches, is absolutely not it. His approach was disruptive, embarrassing, and completely unprofessional. It genuinely affected the atmosphere of the night for me and several of my guests.
Unfortunately, due to this experience, I cannot recommend this venue. A beautiful space means very little when the people running it treat their clients with such disrespect.
