"Taj Mahal is a new Indian fine-dining restaurant opened by Vikas Bajaj and his wife Priya, a restaurant modeled after one located inside Maurya hotel in New Delhi, the Mercury News reported at its opening in October. Bajaj recommends the seekh kabab, a tandoor-cooked “minty lamb mince on skewers” but there’s plenty more on the menu, which is also very vegetarian friendly. If you’re interested in sampling more of the restaurant, there’s a lunch buffet available." - Dianne de Guzman

Google
The best restaurant in Livermore. It is a great spot for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. For vegetarians, the menu offers tasty options like the flavorful TAJ Paneer Makhanwala and the THE BEST daal makhni. Both dishes are packed with delicious spices. Non-vegetarians will love Non Veg Platter, Gosht Malabar TAJ Butter Chicken, which is creamy and full of flavor, with the perfect amount of spice. The service is excellent, with friendly staff specially Ajit the restaurant manager who was amazing and made sure we were happy with our food. His recommendations were top notch. The staff make sure you feel welcome and enjoy your meal. Overall, Taj Mahal is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian food in Livermore.

The food was absolutely delicious. Our server “Abhi”, did an amazing job at serving us. He was very kind and even offered my sister a free chocolate lava cake for her birthday. Once again, amazing food, good portions and a very good server. Thank you for the amazing experience!

We recently celebrated our daughter's first birthday, and I wanted to express how pleased we were with the arrangements. The setup for our family was lovely, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. We especially appreciated how the management accommodated all our last-minute requests. Overall, it was a very delightful experience.

Everything was amazing at this place! I rarely give such high ratings with a detailed review, but the food truly hit the bull's eye. From the amazing food to the comfortable ambience and exceptional service, everything was spot on. A special shoutout to Abhi, who was super polite, friendly, and connected with us instantly. This was our second visit after a few months—the first experience was great too. (I’ve attached pictures from both visits!) This time, we were hosting friends visiting from Dallas. We asked Abhi for recommendations based on our preference for authentic Indian flavors with rich masala and depth. He thoughtfully suggested a few dishes tailored to our taste. We were initially unsure about trying the soya chaap and kathal (jackfruit) ki sabzi, so we also ordered some safer options like paneer. But trust me—the highlight of the dinner was what we least expected! It was my first time trying soya chaap, and it blew me away. The marination was absolutely perfect—full of flavor and incredibly satisfying. The Red Hot Chilli Paneer (also recommended by Abhi) was another standout: crispy on the outside, super soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. For entrees, we had the Soya Chaap Nihari, Kathal Nihari Sabzi, and Dal Bukhara—again, all recommended by Abhi. And this is when we knew… it couldn’t get any better than this. Delicious food, warm ambience, and top-tier service—all in one place. Easily a 10/10 experience across the board! I’d recommend this gem to all my friends and to anyone visiting or living in the Bay Area. Thank me later!! 😉

We traveled from Dallas to the Bay Area and decided to have dinner here. It turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our server, Abhi, was fantastic. We wanted to try something different and he suggested some unique dishes—honestly, I wasn’t expecting the food to be this amazing. Everything exceeded our expectations. Here’s what we ordered: Appetizers: • Red Hot Chilli Paneer: 5/5 • Achari Tandoori Soya Chaap: 5/5 Main Course: • Soya Chaap Kathal Nihari: 5/5 • Dal Bhukhara: 5/5 Sides: • Lacha Paratha: 5/5 • Onion Kulcha: 4.5/5 • Jeera Rice: 5/5 I’d rate the entire experience a solid 10/10. I highly recommend everyone in the Bay Area to check this place out. A big thank you to Abhi for the incredible recommendations. Honestly, I’m tempted to move from Dallas just for this food—haha!

We started with the samosas which were delicious. The chicken biryani and garlic naan were so good too. Our server Tanu was so sweet and she gave us solid recommendations. The room is so pretty and the Bollywood entertainment was fun to watch. Oh and the robot server was adorable.

Stepping into Taj Mahal is an absolute treat! The ambience is truly fantastic, creating a wonderful atmosphere for a meal. But the real star is the food – every dish we tried had that authentic Indian taste that's so hard to find. A huge shoutout to Abhi, who was incredibly helpful with his recommendations. His guidance truly elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend! Chicken Chettinad, Gobi Manchurian, Gulab e gulkand were fab.

Karan S.

Yelp
Excellent food and service with an upscale ambiance. Plating was innovative and thoroughly impressive. Highly recommend the Dahi Kabab and Peshawari Chicken Kabab!

Aneel T.

Yelp
Discover the world's finest gulab jamun! Garnished with gold sprinkles, topped with silver leaf, and filled with a luscious gulkand rose center--truly exquisite.

Yelp

Entrees Kofta - Very different and full of flavors Pindi choley - Delhi style ( full of spices and flavors) Fresh garlic naan Overall great experience!!! Specially very elegant ambience and good bollywood music.

Yelp
Very beautiful restaurant. Decor was wonderful. Service was amazing! They have little robots to bring you the food! However, the food itself was hit or miss. Butter chicken not so good. Samosas good. Chaat Was great! Some items were spot on and some items were a total let down. Thanks for trying but I think I will pass next time.

Yelp
Taj Mahal Restaurant in Livermore is a well-maintained establishment, notable for its exceptional cleanliness and efficient service. Conveniently located across from the Livermore outlets, it features a beautiful bar area and ample seating, making it an attractive dining option. During our visit for the lunch buffet, we found a wide variety of choices available. The veggie biryani, fried momos, and chaat items were particularly delicious, and the naan was incredibly soft. However, there were a few disappointments. The pav for the pav bhaji was hard and unappetizing, and the mango lassi tasted more like blended kulfi than mango, making it seem overpriced at $9 for the portion provided. Despite the enjoyable dishes, I experienced an upset stomach afterward, though I'm unsure which dish caused it. Nonetheless, I would be willing to give this restaurant another try, particularly to explore their a la carte menu.

Priya M.

Yelp
Great Ambience and enjoyed the food very much. The dishes are delicious and good quality. Will be back for sure

Eashma B.

Yelp
Food is decent, but they need to come down a notch on garam masala like cloves, nutmeg or whatever they are using. It does make the food delish, but it is summers right now and that much of hot spice mixes may not sit well for most Californians. Initial order taking is fast, but if you are looking for that extra naan to enjoy with the curry- you will be in for a long wait! So order extra and take home instead! Portions are generous - it appears overpriced on the menu, till it gets served and you will taste the freshness ( hence strong spices) and the quantity.

Yelp
Looking for authentic Indian taste, great ambience, phenomenally done interiors and a robot bringing your food to the table, Taj Mahal Flavors of India brings it all together for you. In the heart of Livermore, CA, nestled amongst the Livermore Outlets, lies this hidden and exquisite gem and it transports you to the vibrant land of India with its authentic cuisine, warm hospitality, and elegant ambiance. There are ample parking spots in the front and the back side and you definitely would be able to find one for yourself. The ambiance at the restaurant is warm, inviting, and transports you to the heart of India. The vibrant décor, adorned with traditional Indian motifs and artifacts, creates a sense of authenticity and charm. The friendly and attentive staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that you feel right at home. Shoutout to Vishal who was serving our table and made sure we got nothing but the best of the best when it came to our meals. Also with all that vibrant food and interiors, they do have robots moving food from the kitchen to the table where the server takes over. Pretty cool intersection of humans and bots. The menu at Taj Mahal Flavors of India is a symphony of flavors, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of India. From the ever so famous butter chicken and tikka masala to specialties like bhukhara kofta or Soya chaap, each dish is a testament to the meticulous preparation and use of fresh, high-quality ingredients and their masterful use of spices. Each dish is bursting with an explosion of aromas and flavors, carefully balanced to tantalize the taste buds. From the warming cardamom and cinnamon to the fiery chilies and fragrant turmeric, the spices take your senses on a journey through the diverse regions of India. We ordered a plethora of items that included, a couple veg platters, avocado jhalmuri, bukhara kofta , kadai paneer, dal makhani, soya chaap with some garlic naan and lachha paratha. Before i forget to mention, we started the evening with a few mocktails (Virgin Mojito, Passionfruit Mojito, Raspbery Mojito to name a few). The presentation of the food at is as captivating as its taste. Vibrant colors, intricate garnishes, and meticulously arranged dishes make every meal a feast for the eyes. This attention to detail reflects the restaurant's commitment to providing a truly immersive dining experience. We were celebrating a birthday in the group and they were kind enough (big shoutout to Vikas and his team) to get us a Hot chocolate lava cake, on the house. Dining at Taj Mahal Flavors of India is an unforgettable experience. It's a journey through the vibrant flavors, rich culture, and warm hospitality of India. Whether you're a seasoned Indian food enthusiast or simply new to the cuisine, this restaurant promises to leave you with lasting memories and a deep appreciation for the culinary treasures of India. I am not exaggerating when i say Taj Mahal Flavors of India is a must-visit restaurant for anyone seeking an authentic and delicious Indian dining experience. It's a place to celebrate the richness of Indian culture, savor the explosion of flavors, and create memories. Don't wait for a chance. Go make it happen!!!

Yelp
This review is for the weekend lunch buffet. So we went on a Saturday around 1 pm and we got seated right away. The place is pretty big and has a very calm and elegant ambience. When we reached there we came to know that for weekend lunch they only have buffet and evenings a la carte. The food was good. They had a good range of starters including fruits, chaat, bhalla, pappads, fish and tandoori chicken. Main course started with tomato soup and they had couple of vegetarian and non vegetarian curries. For rice, peas pulao and vegetarian and chicken dumplings biriyani was available. They also had chola bhatura and fresh garlic naan was brought to the table. The buffet ended with pani puri and tawa veggies. Last but not the least yummy gulab jamun, barfi and semiya kheer for dessert. My favorite was the papdi chaat, amritsari machi (fish), tandoori chicken, butter chicken, chole bhatura, kheer and gulab jamun. Overall nice ambience, good food and friendly servers. Would recommend it! Also they have robots there, which I believe would do its part for table service in a la carte.

Yelp
There is nothing not to like here. I read some reviews about the place being loud or expensive and that was not the case for us. The restaurant was extremely clean and the attention to detail in food and cocktail preparation matched the clean and modern interior. The drinks were perfect, especially the Char Minar. The presentation and flavor was epic as you can see in the photos. Please note my photos are not that good as I was pretty busy eating. The London Chicken, lamb, and Tikka fish were beyond good. The Naan was very hot from the oven and the Chicken Tikka and Avocado salad was unique and flavorful. If you are in the mood for Indian food, this is a top pick.

Yelp
Our weekend visit to this place left us with mixed feelings, having built up expectations from glowing reviews. The place looks really nice, and the staff, even the owner, was super helpful. However, the food didn't quite hit the mark - it was a bit too salty and oily. Still, the owner addressed our concerns, which was cool. Thinking of giving it another shot on a weekday to see if it was just a one-time thing. Hoping for better flavors next time! Fingers crossed for a tastier experience on our next visit.

Yelp
Authentic, Northern region cuisine, true Chefs and wonderfully mikd but flavorful with the Kabob chicken. Service brought it up two stars beau interfior, restrooms well appointrd. Very clean and of course white leather high dining back end chairs, feeling like a queen or queen, very attentive staff, including the front reception and management staff as well. Professional and gracious. The food we chose the lunch holiday buffet. We were so hapoy to try everything! Instead of taking a chance on one entree dish. Samoling from heat too high to more mildrr but world spiced regiinal dishes that kicked-up the palate. The smells entering was enlightening to travel abroad for delights awaiting. Did they ever, even basics of their baked onsite papadums, parnatha bread, funny or not, their luxurious chai w/o sugar although provided in front of it. Now for the wine list and house designed cocktails (& yes, mocktails too)! Close to the pina coloda but W A Y Better than, had dried pineapple flower on rim, cinnamon stick infued with cikantro juice and spices floating with not overpowered coconut creme and mikk, well blended with a dark rum- arimatic and actualky quite delicious, not too much alcihol but the balance was supreme! Beat ddcades of pinas. The desserts were tgere and a twist on our fave of cadrot halwa inti beets! What a difference and nit so overly sweet as standard h a lwa's Nice, Not just Biryani here. Unusaul for an upscale place was...bone in chicken tandoori. But..the best flavoured. As you can tell Iam not around tbeir native cuisine and mikd or less for me but the locatiin east of the SFO Outlets in LVK did the trick, lots of parking in the rear. Pricing 35 per persin was amidable and reasonable for the style and care if cuisine. We will be returnibg for dinner, if not lunch.

Yelp
Came here for my sisters birthday and let me start by saying WOW this place is beautiful and one of the most upscale Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. From the service to the management great people and very welcoming to all that come. The food on the other hand very tasty and good portion sizes they also don't disappoint in their presentation. Felt like I was in an upscale American restaurant but with an Indian twist. They also have robot waiters which is a plus in my book. Their drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic are really really nice and appealing to the eyes. If your in the Livermore area give this a try let me tell you it is pricey but well worth it and they also attended to our party and attended to our needs. I will definitely come back to this place thanks guys for your hospitality and welcoming visit.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated restaurant next to the outlet mall with ample parking. Service is great and very accommodating. Food is delicious. Our favorite was the butter chicken and garlic naan which paired perfectly together. The cocktails were also very unique with a full bar of alcohol options. They have a lot of seating and a lounge area for snacks and drinks. This is a luxe restaurant, a great location to bring friends and family. I am so glad to see this open up in the area because this type of indian restaurant doesn't exist in the east bay. They're currently open for dinner service and I am excited for their grand opening.

Sayed T A.

Yelp
Amazing food. Straight up, siuchef style, loved the flavors and spices that were used. Unlike any other indian restaurants, their food is not super overly spiced. Very mild spice heat. Not overloaded with spices. Just enough to give you the taste of the food and the aroma of the spices. The service was a little slower than the other restaurants. expect 35 to 40 minutes before your appetizers arrive and about another 45 minutes till the actual entrées come, i m sure it's a work in progress kinda thing. They're fairly new, so it will pick up eventually. The robot bringing the food to the table has to go. It takes time, too. The ambiance is very nice and clean. I loved the big projection screen with bollywood songs (no remixes plz) need to add more songs to their playlist . Overall, my experience was good. Waiters were pretty responsive and attentive. I think it will be my weekly spot for dinner with the family.

MM M.

Yelp
What a disappointment! The buffet is supposed to start at 11:30, but they weren't ready. Two of us were seated at a table with dirty chairs, evidence of curry fingers at the top corners. So much for white upholstery. Gross. We sat for 25 minutes with warm glasses of water. When the buffet finally started, many popular dishes were not included. No samosas, no pakora , no tikka masala, no saag paneer, no aloo gobi, no veg korma, and forget any fish dishes. It wasn't clear which dishes were vegetarian. Did you want naan? So did we, except that it wasn't offered for another 15 minutes. When it finally arrived, there were 4 thin greasy wafers. Gross. I was left with a paneer dish that was more sweet than spicy or savory. Only after I paid the bill did someone offer to refill our water glasses. I highly recommend spending your $80 anywhere else with $80 worth of food.

Yelp
Tried this place yesterday and quite liked it. It has a wonderful ambiance of an upscale Indian restaurant. My only negative feedback is regarding the table assignment. We didn't have a reservation but were told that the waiting would be less than 15 minutes. They weren't great at managing their tables fast enough. We could see empty tables but the waiting turned out to be longer and the way they handled it made it evident that they could have just been more professional about it. Everything else once we got the table was great. There's a good vibe to this place... good music, good crowd. Seemed like this is where most desis go to hang out or celebrate now in the east bay. We ordered malai kebab, the London chicken tikka curry and naan. The malai kabab was my favorite and better than what I've had anywhere. The curry was good not outstanding, and I personally thought the naan was a little dry though my husband didn't care about that. I ordered the Taj Mahal cocktail, and even though it was a gin based drink (and gin is not my poison usually), it was quite nice and smooth. I would have liked the passion fruit flavor to be a little more pronounced but overall a nice drink. Quantity is on the low side, so definitely order up. Service was great! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to go back to!

Jasmine K.

Yelp
Bad food. Bad service . Good Ambiance Service charge for buffet when we did not have a server. Buffet for kids above 10 is $35.

Yelp
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Taj Mahal in Livermore, and what a treat it was! The ambiance is modern and pleasing to the eyes all around. For food, we started with the Tandoori Platter for two, which consisted of lamb seekh kabob, fish tikka, and peshwari chicken kabob. Each piece was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The lamb chops we ordered for our main course were tender and juicy, and the Malai chicken tikka was creamy and rich. But the star of the show was the goat biryani - fluffy basmati rice cooked to perfection with tender chunks of goat meat. We also tried the special Taj Mahal gin-based cocktail, which was refreshing and unique. Finally, we finished with the kulfi falooda with ice cream, a sweet and creamy treat. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great service and delicious food. Highly recommend Taj Mahal for Indian food lovers!

Yelp
Visited this restaurant last night - it was a pleasant surprise- 5 star hotel ambiance- cool delivery trays (like robots) kali dal is a must try Special mention to the owners - they know how to entertain and know their food being from Delhi !! Will surely visit again - and not forget the hostess Mika ! Great customer service - ask for her when you go !

Reena S.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday for the buffet. Good news is they didn't charge the 25 bucks for my two year-she didn't eat soo I do appreciate that lol-toddlers are wild. But the audacity to charge 35 bucks a person for buffet?! No paneer tikka, no pakora, hardly any veg options, the kulfi was so hard to scrape out of the pot, the rice wasn't great (but you can ask for plain rice which is nice), and naan comes to your table one naan at a time-cut into four pieces. The place is nice-big-new, staff is decent (please place lollipops out of reach of children!), but how can you possibly justify these prices!? Kinda crazy prob won't be back!

Hemant D.

Yelp
Had dinner here with friends Ambiance and decor is nice The drinks were nice: Appetizers we ordered were Onion Kulcha, potato Kulcha, soya Chaal and Dahi hung fry. All were very good Main course we ordered kofta which was good, daal makhani was very good, tadka daal was good as well. Bhindi was bad, frozen and not cooked well. Tandoori roti and Veg Pulao was good. Overall a good experience

Nish Z.

Yelp
Well this place has an extremely impressive ambiance..and very friendly service. But that's about all it's got going for it. It's extremely expensive for very average tasting food. The dessert - don't bother with it coz you're gonna be super disappointed. The kulfi doesn't even look appetizing, tasted bitter almost. We got a lot of dishes Meat platter chicken, beef and fish - good tender and flavorful Dahi fried appetizer - not great at all Avocado bhel- nope no no The prawns curry was pretty good. The butter chicken, another chicken curry, palak curry were all below avergae with very bland flavors. The rasmalai and lava cake were again very very average. Like something you'd get from a Safeway/ Costco! The kulfi though was extremely bad. Like a big blob of bad tasting frozen stuff. Really bad I can't believe they serve something like this. Honestly what shocked us was at the end of it all on our way out, we told the guy( I'm guessing the manager ) that the food was great, service was excellent ..but we really wanna let you know that the kulfi needs help. It's not good. Now instead of asking us what we thought was wrong, or even just letting us know that we'll look into it or whatever answer you would give a customer..he just shrugged it off haha. He didn't say anything just shrugged it off and turned and left. I have to say I didn't like that attitude from someone trying to run a NEW business in hospitality. Overall, while this place has great ambiance, the food is average and priced at a very high point. I don't think I would pay so much just to sit in a beautiful restaurant but not enjoy my food as much. Just my honest opinion.

S P.

Yelp
Ambiance: Excellent...unlike a typical desi restaurant, this place has a vibe...warm and inviting decor with a huge bar area...very well lighted and soft Bollywood fusion music; Overall A+ Service: Overall attentive but sketchy at times..The bartender is making your drinks..he is also taking your order...he is also giving you the bill etc. They also have a couple of robots...I am not sure what the purpose is but does not add any value to the overall service. Food: Veg Platter - A+ Dal Makhani - A+ Lahsuni Gobi Masala - A+ Garlic Naan and Potato Kulcha - A+ Cumin Ghee Rice - A+ Cocktails x 3 - A Shahi Faluda Kulfi - A+ Seekh Kabab - Very disappointing..Overcooked and dry; distinct smell of lamb fat; drizzled with some kind of sauce and served on a slate...This is the fist time in my life I had someone serve seekh kabobs drizzled with sauce and served on a cold slate (instead of a skillet) - C Overall a very nice place and would like to try it out again. Hopefully they will get their act together with the kabobs .

Yelp
Wasted $300 on weekend buffet. Old bad tasting food along with very bad customer service. We got our Naan when we're done with the meal. That too 1 naan for 7 people!!!! I had to ask multiple times to multiple servers for the naan and we finally got 1 more upon leaving!!!! Old and raw dough flat naan. Very disappointed!!!! Last, almost half of the food was not refilled. Only 1-2 of us got it! Very bad experience! The food was literally black in color even biryani masala. It tells you how many times it has been reheated and reused. They recycle whole weeks food and call it buffet on the weekend.

Swati S.

Yelp
1. Lovely Ambiance and decor 2. Robots serving food 3. Great location 4. Drinks are outstanding 5. Food is so tasty 6. Customer service is top notch! 7. Menu has so many options to choose from. 8. One of the best Indian restaurant in Bay Area. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
The Wife and I have been looking for an Indian restaurant in the Tri-Valley that would rival some of our favorite places on the East Coast, with little success. With Taj Mahal, we've found a place that I would add to my Livermore "inventory of classy joints" as I call it, to The Wife's amusement. The setting is incongruous. In the midst of the outlets, this is a restaurant with an upscale vibe similar to places I visited in New Delhi, which is the owner's intent. Not realizing that the restaurant was scheduled to open at 5:30, we arrived at about five. We were perplexed when asked about a reservation, then we understood. They graciously seated us, and we watched the meticulous preparations still ongoing around us, like aligning all the lovely chairs and place settings. The staff was uniformly dressed in black, very polite. The menu has many items I wasn't familiar with. We started with dahi batata puri, which were surprisingly light and cool. Even familiar items had a different flavor. The Wife's lahsuni gobi masala had a nifty tangy quality. I had meen moilee, and the fish was a fabulous pairing with the green sauce. I mopped up quite a bit with the garlic naan. For dessert, I had the gulab e gulkand, like gulab jamun on flavor steroids. Her gajar ka halwa was very rich, so that she had to take half home. I'll also mention the nice cocktail menu, and broad choice for whiskies. I had a marble majesty, delicious. This is the first restaurant I've been to that made use of robots to bring out food. Not to replace Taffy, as far as I could tell, since someone has to take the plates off the robot to give to us. Just a way to prevent accidents and fatigue. Interesting.

Lavanya N.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious and the non-veg appetizer platter was our favorite. The fish was buttery and flaky and the chicken was so juicy. I didn't like the kebabs as much but the rest of the table did. Both of the entrees (bhuna goat and dhaba chicken) were very good. They were spiced like authentic Indian dishes so if you can't handle spice, I would recommend asking them to lower the spice level (they did not ask us for the level of spice). One bread basket comes with 8 regular pieces of naan and one large piece of bread. For four people, that wasn't quite enough so we ended up ordering more rice and naan on the side. We also ordered the chocolate lava cake and that was absolutely delicious. It had cherries in the center so it gave a black forest cake vibe. The one star deduction was because we were at the restaurant for 3 hours! The naan and rice we ordered extra took a long time to come and we also waited a while in between getting our appetizers and the main entrees. They were extremely busy on a Friday night so I thought that would have meant they would try to serve our table quickly, instead it meant that the service was quite slow. All of the staff were very nice though and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. Overall, I would recommend coming here.

Yelp

Yelp
Really good food. Friendly staff. Great cocktail :) Went for my anniversary dinner it was up to the expectations. The MTV studio music is really nice . Must try

Yelp
Juhi was a fantastic host, we booked our table for 8 & were overwhelmed by the robots that brought you trays of food..perfect recommendation for a family of kids & an opulent vibe to the fun ambience:) Must try if you're visiting the premium outlets, kudos team for the innovative presentation & hospitable staff!

Yelp
A new Indian restaurant has opened by the Livermore outlet mall. Huge, airy space, well appointed with a stunning, glamorous bar. One of the loveliest, most comfortable I've seen in the Bay Area. And I've visited most local Indian restaurants and event halls. We went for Diwali brunch. They served an elaborate buffet spread for the holiday. A live chaat station with pav bhaji, paani poori (mango paani poori was a stand out!), haka noodles, chaats. A large selection of hot dishes, including dal, rice, paneer, veggies, chicken. Peas pulao and dal makhani were our favorites. A gorgeous arrangement of mitai, Indian sweets, cakes. Service was fantastic, warm, friendly and helpful. The food was a little uneven, some dishes were very good, though some fell flat. Presumably they are still working out kinks as it's a new restaurant. This looks to be a fantastic place to throw a party or have a family gathering. Bonus that it's easily accessible with parking.

Yelp
Well it's that time when you are short of words - all I can say this is a must try and if you haven't you are missing India food taste. I usually don't write this detail feed back but the food is absolutely delicious and amazing Starting with appetizers the non veg and veg platters are killer - never eaten that juicy and buttery fish / tikka and seek Kabab Main course was Bhuna Ghost and Kali Mirch chicken was amazing and yummy That lacha parantha was so crispy and flaky omg. Restaurant itself was very well maintained and ambience was very nice for a date night or festive family gathering Nice music and cover On top the service owner himself was taking care of each guest like how can the go to 50 tables which were all full. Nice work there Mr Bajaj - keep up the good food and thank you for choosing tri-vally for this amazing iconic work of yours

Yelp
Possibly the only fine dining Indian restaurant in Pleasanton/Livermore/Dublin belt. Beautiful and sophisticated ambiance. Spacious and spread out lounge with a large bar. Very attentive service and food was delicious and very well presented. Menu is lesser compared to other casual dining place but each dish is very well done. Had fish, dum aloo, gajar halwa etc and none disappointed. Pricier than some of the other fine dining places in Danville but excellent for holiday parties or office lunches/dinners.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of dining at Taj Mahal today. We called and made a reservation and were seated quickly. We also met the owners, they seem to be very nice and wish the best going forward. The first thing you notice is the great ambiance & they have done a great job in designing an upscale India restaurant. The food was very good. We ordered the Non veg app for 2( chicken, lamb, salmon) was excellent. The London chicken masala was spot on, so was the goat roganjosh. we also ordered the garlic nan. The food was very good so was the service. We will be back to try more dishes.

Yelp
Great food, service was ok. We visited during a weekday and it was slow, but the food was fresh and delicious. The service could be more friendly.

Yelp
So delighted to finally find an upscale Indian restaurant in Tri-valley. The food is authentic and exceptionally good. Menu is eclectic. The bar choices were great as well. Found a few cocktails with an Indian twist. The service staff was on the ball. Inspire of restaurant being packed didn't have to wait for food or service. Great experience. It was a delight to see so many beautiful people decked up to celebrate something at the restaurant. Not to mention those robot carts interestingly named serving us. Happy to have been served by Shahjahan at Taj Mahal We have found a new go to place for Indian cuisine in the Tri-Valley!

Yelp
I've eaten here on numerous occasions and at different times of the day. The ambiance is on the louder busy side, bar jumpin' and Indian Pop music thumpin. So, if your looking for a mellow quiet dining experience, this is not it. The decor is clean, elegant and comfortable. I've even sat at a booth and it wasn't bad. Appetizers I recommend: Lamb Chops; Chicken Tikka Avocado Salad, Tandoori Chicken. Jumbo Prawns. Portions are enough to be ordered as main entree, also. Main Entrees: Butter Chicken, Lamb Shank, Kadai Jheenga, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lahsuni Gobi Masala Bar: Every cocktail and even the mocktails we're fire! Cons: For the price and the fact they advertise as "Fine Dining", the service is sub par. Once you get your food the servers forget about you and you have to hunt them down.

Yelp
We didn't know they only serve buffet during weekend lunch. But since we already reached thought to try and realized it is 35$ per person which is really costly. food was okay but 35$ it has to be extraordinary. but nothing special pretty basic typical North Indian items. Only two veg curry, starters were not good either and dessert were standard gulab jamun and halwa. nothing in the buffet justifies $35 charge.

Yelp
Our first visit. Liked the ambiance, food and service. We ordered Sprout kachumber for appetizer. A great healthy option. Chef's special Bhukhara Kofta (malai kofta's cousin :-)) was delicious. Not spicy nor too mild. Bread chosen were garlic naan and Peshawari naan. I tried Peshawari naan first time. Liked it. Not sweet. Grand finale was Taj Falooda kulfi (minus vermicelli). I would suggest less sweet and it was ice cream and not kulfi. Will definitely come back for vegetarian food and ambiance.

Yelp
We went in very excited to try this new spot. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food and service. The only plus was the interior design. My tips would be more training for the staff and getting rid of the mahal mule drink.

Yelp
The ambience was good. The service was good The food was just OK Thw potato in my chaat was spoilt. They did not even acknowledge or apologize! They offered another plate of that... but I was so turned off by the small that we paid and left

Yelp
This place is wonderful! The food is one of the best Indian meals I've ever eaten. Full of delicious spices, unique flavors. The waiter recommended dishes I've never tried before and I'm so happy he did! Friendly staff, great drinks, a must visit when you are in Livermore!

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place, given the hype about it on the social media platforms but I was really disappointed by the whole experience. Like all other reviews state here, the food is definitely expensive for the little quantity you're served. We ordered the dahi kebab and right off the bat it tasted stale. Ordered soya chaap lababdar (chef recommendation) for the entree, it tasted so bland, no flavor at all and like I am eating plastic. I was still hopeful about the dessert, but all I got was two pieces of rasmalai in a huge plate for $$. So not worth your money. Also, the bathrooms can use some attention. The big projector in the middle of the seating area is such a distraction from everything. The only good thing about the whole experience was the service, our server was really nice. However, they ran out of menus to hand out and our server literally recited us the dessert menu lol Overall verdict, DO NOT RECOMMEND, save your money!!

Yelp
Good service, decent quality of food. But way overpriced. If you want to drink water, it'll cost you $8. LOL. You can find similar (or better) local Indian food and you won't need to take out a loan for it.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from here, and discovered that one of the chicken biriyanis was rotten. We called them for a refund, which they promised. However, not having received the refund in 2 days I called them back, and they insisted on offering a weekday lunch buffet coupon instead of the refund, even when I repeatedly said that going there for lunch on a weekday is not possible for me. Not going there anymore.

Yelp
Average collection of food with nothing extraordinary about the taste either. The sticker shock is the buffet price, 34.99 for ordinary food. Why would somebody spend the fortune here?
