"Despite the name, the Taj Mahal's cuisine pays homage to Bosnia and Balkan traditions. In the heart of Dubrovnik's Old Town, this restaurant is a landmark for those seeking authentic, rich and tantalizing flavours served in a convivial and unpretentious atmosphere. The extensive and varied menu simply tells the story of Bosnian culinary tradition: a couple of pages are devoted to traditional dishes, alongside tasty grilled meats (from their own butcher shop), flavourful vegetables, and specialities prepared according to family recipes. Not to be missed is the homemade plum baklava made by the owner's mother – a real treat. The friendly and attentive service is always ready to advise and guide you in your choice, helping you navigate your way through the many proposals. In addition to wines, there is also a selection of simple but well-executed cocktails, ideal to accompany the meal. Our tasting experience was excellent. The menu was clear and organized well. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu items. All of our food was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. The food came out quickly and at appropriate temperatures. The sarma and beef liver in particular were hits for me. The wood, stone, and black tile decorations were a wonderful canvas for the Bosnian decorations. I thought both the outdoor and indoor seating were well spaced and arranged. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the food but service was slow. I'm not sure if this is because we were seated inside and around a corner where our party was not as visible and fast through the meal like the outside guests. We also had one waiter at the start and then a different waiter soon after. For us being in Dubrovnik for only a day this was an excellent choice given the quality of the food and the diversity of options it provided.

We ordered the lamb broth, cevapi and kebab, beef cevap, lamb ribs and roast lamb belly. The roast lamb belly is AMAZING. Super tender and flavourful. But the rest of the food is average. Beef cevap is the worst. The beef tastes like frozen caned beef super dry and chewy with no beef flavour. Definitely not recommend. Cevapi and kebab are quite dry and do not taste freshly made. It’s not like those we tasted in Bosnia which were super tender and juicy. Lamb ribs - the quality of the lamb is good, but had no taste and too oily. The lamb broth is not to my liking - it’s like goulash style thick soup with green beans etc. The candy in the Bosnian coffee is way too sweet. The coffee is super bitter but interesting if you haven’t tried Bosnian coffee before. Service of a waitress is a bit forceful and not very polite. The waiter is nice. Quite expensive for what it can offer.

Amazing atmosphere. Everything is so clean and the decorations are very cozy! The staff are friendly and very helpful! The food is the best tasting food in Zadar… reminds me of home. Even if i tried i couldn’t find something negative to say. Would 100% recommend to anyone!!!

It’s Michelin approved restaurant for a reason! The service is excellent and the food is outstanding. We had the Burek Cigars and the traditional three dish combo which gave us a tasting variety that included meat balls with Mash, the stew and the stuffed pasta with mince! Just ask the waiting staff they’ll be happy to assist you. We ended the night with a Baklava Ince cream sandwich! Do not miss this spot when you visit the city!

This place is always packed! Go at the time of your reservation! Spectacular food and service! We waited a bit so the gifted us som grappa shots. Really nice gesture of the people there. The food delicious. A bit of waiting time between dishes, but they were packed so nothing to do there… the dessert was the only thing normal not THAT GOOD. In general speaking it was fantastic!

A hidden gem tucked away inside one of the narrow streets of Old Town Dubrovnik. This place is soooo pretty!!! Interior design is impressive. Food is so good and staff are all friendly and attentive. Pricey but goody!

The restaurant tries to give you an authentic bosnian experience and you would be surprised by their hospitality. The menu is extensive and also has options to mix and have small portions of 2 or 3 authentic dishes if you wish to try them all. Bosnian pot has to be ordered a day in advance, some things are worth the wait. We tried the ćevapi, dolma/japrak and the Hadźijski cevap and the Baklava. The flavours are quite similar to the Indian cuisine which surprised us even more. They also are a Michelin restaurant. Worth a try

Visited this restaurant because of its “bib gourmand” status, personally i would not call it reasonable priced as it serves coca cola at €7 but this might a Dubrovnik thing. In my opinion we could have used/needed some more explanation with the menu, without really knowing the Bosnian cuisine we opted for 2 soups and 2 other dishes. All were okay, nothing stood out (positively or negatively) General conclusion: good restaurant and opportunity to taste the Bosnian Cuisine, but definitely not a memorable experience or a restaurant i would recommend to other people, which is usually the case at a bib.
