Booked a table for 2 on the day, got a reservation no problem. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we sat downstairs by the bar and it had a really nice chill atmosphere. We tried the signature menu. Was told portion sizes were the same as the dishes on the regular menu and they weren't lying! It was a lot of food but made it feel worth it for the price. Loved some of the dishes and wasn't a fan of others but that's personal preference. Liked this restaurant a lot, would recommend.

Had dinner here with a friend on Wednesday night. The restaurant was elegantly decorated. Our server was average - would expect more friendly service for the price point. The food was delicious albeit the rolls felt a bit basic and overall everything was on the expensive side.

Last night, my friend and I dined at Taka Marylebone and had a delightful experience. The interior of the restaurant exudes a serene, zen-like ambiance—minimalistic yet with a touch of high-end sophistication that sets the perfect tone for an evening out.
We opted for the a la carte menu and were particularly impressed with the Black Cod Miso. It was exquisitely prepared, with each bite delivering a burst of flavor that truly stood out. The Popcorn Shrimp Tempura and Avocado Crispy Rice were also excellent, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal.
Service was impeccable. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our dinner at a leisurely pace without feeling rushed to make way for the next guests. This thoughtful approach significantly enhanced our dining experience.
Overall, Taka Marylebone offered a wonderful blend of delicious food, refined ambiance, and exceptional service. It’s definitely a place we’ll be returning to and recommending to others.

Checked out TAKA for lunch this weekend after a friend’s recommendation and went for the special double set menu at £75 per person with eight dishes.
Honestly, everything was spot on, but the seafood donburi stole the show—fresh sashimi, super tender, and mixed with raw egg yolk, it was just amazing.
They’ve got a great range of Japanese sake too. The whole vibe feels super Japanese, and I can’t wait to come back!

I’m obsessed with the wagyu sandwich at TAKA! The beef from Kagoshima is super tender and packed with rich flavor, and the bread from Hachi Bakery in Notting Hill just takes it to the next level—it’s seriously amazing. The sushi rolls are super fresh and tasty too. The service is awesome, and it’s the perfect spot for a weekend hangout with friends. Can’t wait to try their omakase next time!

Place had good vibes, otherwise very mid place with overpriced food that didn’t taste good
Dragon roll did (£19) - would NOT recommend this roll, tasted extremely bad. Comparable to food court style sushi rolls. The fried leaks on top just made it messy to eat.
Wagyu sukiyaki bowl (£18.5) - very small portion, was also a bit salty in flavour. Did not feel like wagyu at all, would save your money

The best place in Marylebone!
This was our second time coming, and we went for the Taka Omakase set menu. While it is quite pricey (£95pp) I definitely recommend it for any special occasion, it is definitely worth the price and we were too full in the end!
The set menu included edamame, toro temaki, popcorn shrimp tempura, wagyu sukiyaki rice, chutoro rice, crispy rice, tuna crunch roll, tfc nanban, the absolute highlight, the wagyu sando, and mochi ice cream.
Given the quality of all of the produce and how flavoursome it was, and the price of ordering these plates à la carte, the set menu is extremely worth it!
We would recommend the wagyu sando, the wagyu sukiyaki rice, the crispy rice with salmon and the mochi ice cream, especially the matcha flavour, to clean the palate.
One of our fav dinner spots, couldn’t recommend more!

I spent my birthday dinner here, the restaurant atmosphere is very good, the service is very intimate. And in the dessert with the word happy birthday, very surprise! chutoro rice and Wagyu Sando A5 are recommended! Will come back again!
