They make traditional Japanese sweets, Ohagi. Takeno to Ohagi transform the traditional Ohagi into beautiful artworks. The inside was simple and almost like some sort of art gallery. Each wooden box contained different kinds of ohagi. At the back, you can see the staffs creating the artwork. You can choose which washi tape to decorate the box. They were all so pretty, it was hard to choose! We pre-ordered two boxes of their Daily Set of 7 ohagi. They were beautiful, artistic ohagi of all sorts, like a jewelry box! They gave us some wooden forks in the packages. The Daily Set of this day contained Tsubuan, Koshian, Hemp Seed & Kinako, Velvet Rose, Kumquat & Peanut Paste, Japanese White Pine, and Pomegranate & Coconut. Although ohagi is not large, but since they are mostly made with rice, they are quite filling. Every single one was different and unique, I was so excited to try them all. We had a great experience with Takeno to Ohagi. The staffs were super nice and courteous, friendly and polite. Each of their ohagi was delicious. We got to enjoy such elevated ohagi like never before. I love how they balanced out the other flavors with the base flavor, in perfectly harmony. They also make a great gift too!

A must try ohagi. I have visited here 3 out of four times that I come to Tokyo. A queue 10+ had build up 30 minutes before the store opened at a Sunday noon. You can also try making reservations online but with limited time to choose. I always buy each flavor with 1. Total 7 ohagi will be put in a case decorating with a beautiful paper sticker. I do enjoy finding out what is the flavor of each bite I have.

Wow… ok. Wow. Lol seriously, the presentation is over the top. It’s a piece of art work. Then the flavors! Very unique but it works. Yes. It is a tiny bit on pricy side but it makes sense if you eat them. I originally got them for a gift but ended up eating them all by myself. Lol Highly recommend if you are into Japanese sweets. They tend to sold out by mid day, so keep that in mind.

It's a take out style shop. I forgot the flavors, but remembered every single ohagi was the best tasting ohagi I have ever eaten. It's a little far from the main areas for tourists. So please make time to get to the store. I ordered ahead and was very happy with that decision.

Went there because it was shown on TV and it looked good. It really looks good and the taste is not bad but eating it there is no "wow" effect, it's mostly for show. If you want pictures for Instagram go there, if you want good ohagi for a reasonable price maybe not. (too expensive for what you get)

The staff has the most calming energy and the Ohagi is absolutely to die for. Beyond excellent

there is a line starting early! we got there at 11:30 and were 6th. We were out by 12:30. A lot of people get multiple boxes. The ohagi were gorgeous and tasty.

Arrived an hour early and I was barely first in line. By the time the store opened at noon around 10 others had lined up. Service was good and the flavours of the day were super interesting, there are descriptions of ingredients used in Japanese only, no English signage. Flavours rotate often if not daily - best to check the Instagram. But the tsubuan and koshian red bean flavours are staples. It's possible to reserve a box of 7 in advance on their website but pick up starts at 2pm.
