"In an otherwise worse-for-the-wear strip mall, this cheerful little nook turns out not only luscious carnitas and campechanos but also must-try tacos topped with chorizo and scrambled eggs for something a little off script — plus potent (and plenty cheap) margaritas to wash them down." - Eater Staff, Ruth Tobias

Google
To go order Got the asada 2 tacos and a drink which according to the menu should have came to be roughly 25$ but reality was 37$ The cashier was friendly and respectful, would be happy to order from him again The food was mediocre, fairly salty and nothing special Would I go back? Not anytime soon but I'm willing to give them another chance with improvements, there is potential to be had here

Google
I’m updating my review because they’ve hired a new waitress and the service is so much better! The food is awesome as always, and the prices are very fair. Original review: The tacos (especially the chorizo with eggs) and the chips & salsa are great, but the service is SO bad! Both times we’ve gotten the same waitress, who’s super slow and seems like she despises her job along with every client.

Google
Amazing service and food! We catered an event and they were on time and so kind. The Al pastor is my favorite! If you need some authentic tacos and a great option for an amazing breakfast burrito, this place is a must!

Heather Harrington

Google
Chips & salsa = absolutely delicious, both seemed to be made in house. The tacos were cooked super fresh w/ cilantro & onion. Upset they didn't have a huge selection for alcohol. Will come again hoping they will add more margarita options!

Google
I ordered tacos tacos don’t have no flavor. I order myself a alambre not even enough meet there maybe a taco and everything was more bell peppers onions than anything else No flavor at all really disappointed now word paying my money for this

Anthony Maez

Google
The food is delicious. The staff is nice enough, but they are very forgetful. Everytime I order they forget something that I've ordered. Almost feels like they are doing it on purpose at this point.

Google
Well, I did not come to get impressed. But I did, turns out that the tortillas are handmade, this is a big plus. I got the mixto alambre, very good flavor, one taco Al pastor with handmade tortillas...can't go wrong with that. Got the horchata, that was a good flavor no so sweet as well. Finally got the pupusa, good curtido..just like in central America. Will come back for the rest of the menu.

We came from TX to try this spot out because it was in the TOP10 best Mexicans Restaurants. And OH MY GOD THEY ARE AS AUTHENTIC AS YOU WANT THE MEXI FOOD TO BE!! We had the enchiladas, Perfectho! Followed with the fresh Fish!As well as the smoothered Burrito! We really enjoyed the family dynamic and being serviced so politely. Not to mention the AWESOME Prices you can't bet ANYWHERE ELSE in Denver, Colorado! Mucho Gracias!!! 🤤🤞🏽

Yelp
Delicious food that straddles the Americanized plastic menu Mexican of my youth, with super authentic flavors and dishes (nopales and roasted jalapeño with the combo plate w/ rice and beans). The margarita had plenty of tequila! The atmosphere was as advertised; very casual, with the soccer match on multiple tvs. The service was gracious, if not the most attentive ever. My wife's immediate comment was "10 out of 10, will return."

Yelp
Friendly and prompt service, the dining area and the bathroom were spotless. Waiter was kind to my children and their special orders. The complex this restaurant is in has seen much better days. Right now the parking lot is a poorly marked mess, literally as trash was blowing around what felt like a mostly abandoned strip mall. Not terribly inviting, but the business has little control of that, I imagine. (I didn't base any of my rating on that, just adding for a full picture.) Kids and I got tacos a la carte: pastor, carnitas, asada, and barbacoa. They do give pretty big tacos for "street" style, which was nice. Nothing great, nothing terrible about any of it. Side of beans and rice was also just OK. Kids ate their meals without complaint, so score there, and they gave warmed chips with the salsa. The salsa itself was also just OK. Not a ton of flavor or heat, except the red that came with the tacos had some kick. They seem to do a lot of pickup and delivery orders, so perhaps we just didn't get the right thing. Was my second time in, and first was pretty close in experience. No rush to go back myself.

Yelp
Great food, good pri. Ella loves this place. Just look at that smile. The chilaquiles will dominate your senses. 11/10.

Alexandra D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The best part of the tacos was the carnitas. I've never had carnitas that are this juicy and not at all dry. The salsa complemented each bite of the tacos and the radishes and cucumber added a nice garnish to cleanse the palette. The service was good, quick and nothing to complain about. The restaurant was clean, ready for the holidays and welcoming as soon as we walked in. While the location is not in the best part of town or even area, the food does make up for all the other factors. Definitely 10/10 recommended and will return if given the opportunity ;)

Yelp
Do NOT sleep on Takero Mucho. The service is friendly and fast. Feels like family! Ambiance is casual and nothing fancy but still homey and clean. The food has me BLOWN away. I was not expecting such delicious food at a great price! Great portion size too. I had the gorditas (pastor) and my husband got the sopes (also pastor but you can choose from many). Both were absolutely delicious. The pastor was flavorful and mildly spiced. The sopes were perfectly cooked - right in between crispy and soft. We loved it here and will definitely return.

Kaitlin C.

Yelp
Food: good local sit down Mexican place. I just got a burrito and it was quite large. Service: nice and fast. Ambiance: clean and cozy. Booths and tables.

Garrett K.

Yelp
The food is incredible and the service is amazing. Will come back! I thought this place could use a fresher review, PS I'm white asf

Cesar L.

Yelp
Very Authentic Mexican Restaurant . You can have your cravings of Carne Asada, Chicken Enchiladas, Tacos. I recommend this to my friends and family.

Steph C.

Yelp
We like to eat local, so when we were in the area and craving tacos, we started looking up local places! We loved this place so much we went for dinner and back for breakfast! Enchiladas- hubs got cheese enchiladas rice and beans. The sauce is flavorful and delicious. I'm a rice snob and theirs is excellent Tacos - chorizo/egg (breakfast), pastor, chorizo, and shredded beef were outstanding! No grease or gristle and their various salsas were tasty too! BTW I love when they also give you radishes, cucumbers, and fresh lime as they cut the heaviness. My favorite was the bean and cheese pupusa! Their dough was so incredible and the side slaw was just the right mix of tart and spicy! I had to have one for dinner and breakfast. This local hole-in-the-wall is legit!

Anna C.

Yelp
Great birria & service! Modelos were ice cold! Loved everything! Loved the little restaurant vibes!

Alexandra Jo P.

Yelp
This place was so good . Me and my family enjoyed everything we ordered . Portions were also very good for the price ! Service was great and always making sure we were okay .

Dulce M.

Yelp
All of the food has been great from breakfast burritos to caldo de res, and between. We visit frequently and haven't been disappointed.

Meagan W.

Yelp
So good! A hidden gem! Everything tasted so fresh. Can't wait to come back again. Our server was great! He let us know what was and wasn't available on the menu, at the time we went the only thing was the breakfast burritos. The verde enchiladas with chicken were some of the best I've had !

Robert A.

Yelp
Possibly the best Mexican breakfast in the Denver metro. Both the Huevos Takero and the Chilaquiles were excellent. Their green salsa, is not a green chile, but is actually better more satisfying. Great service as well. Will be back for dinner!

Mike V.

Yelp
Best Mexican food I've had around. Very authentic little whole in the wall. Everything tasted great down to the coffee, chips and salsa. My wife got the chilaquiles verdes and I had two steak breakfast burritos because I thought they were going to be on the smaller side but they were good sized. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Amber S.

Yelp
Decided to give Takero Mucho a try for chilaquiles and I'm so glad we did!! Their chips and salsa are TO DIE FOR. The chilaquiles rojo were so delicious, my favorite so far outside of Mexico. My partner had the chorizo and eggs breakfast and he joined the clean plate club. This is a hidden gem.

Carra R.

Yelp
Hidden treasure with authentic Mexican food in Aurora, CO. Well worth a try! Reasonable and delicious! Delightful serving team, happy to explain the menu selections and quiet atmosphere! Each entree individually created! The Aguas Frescas are fresh and tangy! Try the Jamaica or Pineapple. Fill a plate with street tacos only $2.75 each! Smothered Burritos with crisp fillings only $10.99 Order to pick up or enjoy in the restaurant. Don't forget to try the churros made fresh before serving!

Steve U.

Yelp
Carnitas TacosCarne Asada Tacos!!!!!!! Mucho good Hole in the wall , great food and service.

Ron M.

Yelp
I love this place always there best!!! I try to stop by here every other week!!! They are always so nice here and it is always ready so fast.

Brenton H.

Yelp
LOVE THIS MEXICAN SPOT! Pleased to see the High marks they received. Been eating here for 7 years, favorite dish is Milanesa (Mexican Breaded, Griddle Fried Beef Flank) fresh made corn tortillas Aguas Frescas. Friendly staff, helps if you speak Spanish. Caution: Camarones Diablo are KILLER Hot!!! BTW- From LA, lived in Houston, Dallas, Austin, travelled all over NM, AZ, summered in Yucatan, proficient Spanish speaker, now at age 66, fair to say I know a bit about Mexican cuisine.

Daniel G.

Yelp
The best part was the chips and salsa and be prepared to bring your napkins also i do not recommend the menudo

Josh A.

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall spot! I'm originally from LA so can be hard to find good authentic Mexican that compares. Food here is delicious!

Arjit P.

Yelp
Dont shy away from this place! Hidden gem 100%a First of chips and salsa are FRESH! The food is the best Mexican food I've ever had. The food tastes fresh and...some how light (which is weird tobsay when we talking about rice and beans). We had the smothered burrito, chicken and chorizo tacos, and a chicken tostada. We loved every bit. Cleaned the plates. Will definitely be back!

Mark H.

Yelp
Takero Mucho is a very nice find hiding in an older strip mall tucked away off of Peoria. The roasted salsa was excellent and I ordered chicken enchiladas Rojo (red sauce.) Everything was fresh and delicious. Even the rice and beans tasted made to order fresh. I went there mid afternoon and it was empty but there was a steady flow of food delivery people coming and going. Maybe a little slower than your average Mexican restaurant getting the food to the table but well worth the wait. I was told by the waitress that everything is made fresh and my tastebuds agree... Mui bueno~!!!

Rose L.

Yelp
This place is a treasure. I'm super picky about my Mexican food, and this place lives up to my standards. I got the fajitas the last time I went; 3 types of meat, and something I will get it again. It was a bit salty, but those housemade tortillas helped to cut it. And let's talk about those tortillas... aye Dios mío... que deliciosas!

Susan C.

Yelp
Best chips and best salsa in the Denver area! And the tacos Al pastor were also the best I've had in the Denver area! And at only $2.75 a taco with ample portions it can't be beat!

Estefania S.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place since there are so many good reviews but I did not have a good experience. I went on Monday, holiday morning to get breakfast and I made the mistake of ordering a to go order at the restaurant because it did take a while to get our food AND they got part of our order wrong, unfortunately we didn't notice until we got home. I'm not a picky eater so I just took whatever they gave me but nothing hit the spot. We ordered gorditas, an al pastor burrito, and chilaquiles. Personally I felt the beans were too salty and the gorditas tasted bland. But who knows maybe don't order to go?

Amanda H.

Yelp
Went with the reviews. Best margarita I've had in as long as I can remember. Fabulous fajitas and chips and salsa. Great experience!! Nice and quiet to talk!

Kevin L.

Yelp
I tried their pastor and carnitas tacos. The carnitas taco was so good I almost wanted to get another plate of them! Every table also get a basket of tortilla chips and salsa. Everything was so good and prices are hella reasonable. Definitely coming back.

Joleen B.

Yelp
Went here based on Yelp reviews. Was not impressed. Food was okay. Not very flavorful, though tasted fresh. Waitress was not very attentive and did not check on us during meal or offer refills.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
The service was great and fast. Unfortunately the food was a bit salty. But the food was great regardless. Maybe mention to the server to not add so much salt to the food but again great place overall.

Yvonne C.

Yelp
Amazing flavor! Ordered the pozole, chicken torta, carne asada, and papusas. Everything tasted amazing and we had enough for leftovers to take home. Great value.

B I.

Yelp
I was left yet again with another disappointment;( I'll be avoiding Mexican restaurants for a while! I've given up on traditional, I would just like authentic fresh flavor!! NOT leftovers (: it must be too much to ask for!!

David M.

Yelp
My server I believe was named Jocelyn, who was the only server there this past Tuesday. She brought me salsa and chips, to which some chips didn't feel like they were cooked through, and my salsa was very watery as opposed to other customers salsa was chunkier and not watery. I asked Jocelyn some questions about the food, one I asked was about any other salsa they have that may have Pueblo or New Mexico Hatch chilies in them, to which in a somewhat confused yet snide tone she replied she's never heard of those. I was a little taken aback, but I pressed on and ordered to her suggestion the carne asada plate. It was a good sized plate of food, and all pretty good. I have no complaints about the main food so far, but the service and salsa quality was disappointing for me.

Paola J.

Yelp
So so so GOOD!!!! If you haven't been here, you are missing out! 10/10 recommend! Also the ladies are super nice and it is very clean.

Alison C.

Yelp
Tacos are bomb! Great salsa options! Definitely recommend asking for the spicy salsa! Will return!!

April W.

Yelp
Delicious Tacos!!! Salsa and homemade chips so yummy also. Definitely recommend eating here.

Michael C.

Yelp
This is a really cute and clean family owned restaurant and they immediately make you feel welcome upon entering. I ordered a Michelada and chilaquiles with Tacos El Pastor and Tacos Campechanos. Chilaquiles were the best I've Ever had and everything was muy delicioso!! Everything is made fresh to order, so sit down and take a breather. Enjoy the wait-it's well worth it. While the location may not be common for many, I highly recommend stopping in and having some authentic Mexican food. Yummmmm Seis estrellas !!!

Brando Y.

Yelp
Great food and great service! There's no fancy atmosphere or gimmicks, just really good food. They had a $15 for $30 deal on Yelp, so we gave it a shot, and I'm really glad we did. Homemade chips were definitely a highlight for us. They have a decent selection of Mexican bottle beers, and different types of fresh made juices/drinks. We will be back to check out the rest of the menu!

Karina R.

Yelp
This is my second time here and the food does not disappoint, we've had several different items in the menu and everything is delicious, My daughter and niece come here frequently and told us about place. It's definitely worth the drive

Tanya K.

Yelp
They allowed us to dine in even though there was a personal party, which was very nice of them! They served us immediately and was very diligent to serve us. The food was amazing for a great price! Get the horchata! You get the grainy rice in there and it wasn't too sweet

Don L.

Yelp
Three of us went to eat. Attracted by excellent reviews. The place is small, relatively nondescript in location and decor. The waitress was pleasant, but casual to slow with service, but you know what, people are in just too much of a hurry these days. So here's what really matters... the food was excellent! Sorry you few who would like to keep this place a secret to protect against making it so popular that the spectacular food quality diminishes. I hope that doesn't happen. This place is a hidden gem that sparkled us to culinary bliss. Worth the trip off the beaten path!

Abe M.

Yelp
Want good tacos at a great price? And I'm not talking the ground beef kind stuffed in a crunchy Gordita wrap. This place is a hidden at the back end of a strip mall parking lot. Lots of ethnic options in the area, and if you don't look closely, you might miss the place. First impression walking in? The place is full of Spanish speaking families and groups and the music is 100% rancheras. That's a good sign. Speaking from experience, most Mexican families won't spend their hard earned cash on crap mexican food...they can make good options at home. $2.00 street tacos with an assortment of fillings...check. Tamarindo agua fresca...check. A tasty cheese filled pupusa...check. The carnitas tacos were my favorite. Simple yet delicious.

Amanda D.

Yelp
This place was awesome, go during happy hour BOGO margs, that were super good. Mexican food is on point

Lu L.

Yelp
Very , tasty ! My , work and I order her at least once a week. The owlish friendly, and the food has been up to par.

Cyndi Q.

Yelp
Yucky!!! This is the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I have lived in Houston Texas, and San Antonio and this place would be shut down. The food had absolutely no flavor.

Mateo E.

Yelp
Everything positive in my previous review stands. What's changed? Let's just say I won't be paying with a credit card here again, and I'll be counting my change before leaving. There could have been an honest mistake, and the food remains stellar. Caveat eater!

Krystaline A.

Yelp
My family was weary and exhausted from a long road trip across the country... We passed by Denver, and we're on the hunt for REAL, home cooked food. Not that junk on the highway exits , or the franchises one is forced to spend money on... This place was AMAZING! Nos encantó! Les visitaremos cada vez que pasemos pot aqui! We devoured our food and EVERYTHING on the Family platter was good. And VERY reasonable. Even got dessert to go!

Lydia O.

Yelp
Think about it like this, you've been drowning in a sea of frozen foods and chain restaurants, when you took an unscheduled detour and found a little restaurant that you would have missed were you not favored. This place is awesome. A quaint little hole in the wall next to a Mexican market. They get fresh ingredients from the market and everything tastes as it should, fresh! The food was very tasty as were the home made horchata as well as the home made guacamole were superb I am very happy to be addicted to their tacos.
