Yelp
Takeshi Sushi opened up in the old Subway spot, and they serve various appetizers, soups, salads, ramen, sushi and roll sets, sashimi, dons, and other platters.
We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered:
+a She is so Hot Roll - spicy tuna and cucumber, topped with salmon and jalapeno pepper on top, with a drop of sriracha; definitely for those who like spicy
+a 007 Roll - with spicy crab and cucumber, topped with cooked shrimp and avocado
+an America Roll - with shrimp tempura, cucumber, crab, cooked shrimp, and avocado; it didn't stat that there was any eel on here, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was some slices of unagi on the top
+a Rainbow Roll
+a Hamachi Kama - this grilled yellowtail collar was of great value, and I liked that they had split into 3 pieces for easier consumption; this was delicate and flakey, with a light drizzle of a teriyaki-like sauce; I wished this was smoked or was cooked a little longer, as there were some red/bloody parts; requesting more of a heavier teriyaki drizzle would have been great
Overall, the makis were okay, and much better than what I had envisioned or expected for this Chinese-owned and -operated sushi spot.
While service was welcoming and friendly, we did have to wait about 30 minutes or so to get our food, so definitely not a place to consider if you're in a rush.
