The 10 Most Beautiful Cities In The World To Visit In Spring

If you can, it’s worth checking out the Takikawa Canola Flower Festival in late spring, timed with Hokkaido’s delayed sakura season, as part of a trip when cities like Hokuto are covered in blossoms from May. - Liv Kelly

Great experience! But if you have allergies be warned😅 The festival offered delicious food and a shuttle was available for going to the fields.

The canola flower field is awesome. The festival venue may change every year but this year (2019) is same as the map indicated. There are booths in the Takikawa road side station (滝川道の駅) and Takikawa railway station (滝川駅) with staff can speak both chinese and english to show you how to go there. And the road side station (道の駅) has scheduled Taxi (Van) service (1000 yen per person) to take you to the venue and return. The venue has car park, toilet and booth to snacks and ice cream. Pls check the official web site for the information and date of the festival.

Flower was nice but no parking for bus. Better go to rest area in Takikawa city and take taxi to the field (JPY 1,000/ride for up to 4 persons)
