Google
Probably the nicest KBBQ place i’ve been to. Got the set menu with the apps, select meats, and dessert and thought it was very excellent value and experience. Seafood tower was delicious with an interesting gochujang sauce. Normally don’t like seafood pancake but this one was delicious and there was a touch of yuzu on the uni. All the meats were very tender and juicy. The server cooked and cut and served for us which was great. Mushroom rice was very nice too but not a truffle flavour. Was particularly surprised by the bingsu dessert. The coffee one tasted like Haagen-daz coffee ice cream and the blueberry was refreshing with blueberry jam and mascarpone inside. Overall everything was very delicious and I’ll come again soon.

What a wonderful experience at Takja. I would rate the experience on par with Cote NYC. Overall the meat was of good quality and the service was phenomenal. During our seating the owner came out from the kitchen to help cook food for everyone. The uni seafood pancake was delicious. The beef was perfect and no seasoning was required. Overall a wonderful experience.

Finally got to try Takja for my birthday dinner a few months ago. It’s on the pricier side, but honestly worth the money for the quality and overall experience. The meat was great, service was super attentive, and the best part is that you don’t have to cook anything yourself, which made it feel more like a relaxing night out. The restaurant was well ventilated, we left the red not smelling like BBQ, which is a major plus. Would highly recommend going if you’re looking for a more upscale kbbq!

Google
Best KBBQ place, hands down. Food is of great quality. They do the cooking for you so you still get to see the spectacle but don't have to do the work. Freed up to enjoy your company and the atmosphere and to concentrate on the food. It is pricey, very pricey. But once in a while, to treat yourself or a special occasion, this is the spot.

I was told this was one of the top 25 restaurants in Canada and from my experience there I completely believe that. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and seated efficiently and without fuss. Drink orders were taken promptly, and delivered with equal efficiency. We were a party of 8, so split across two tables, which worked perfectly. The food was fantastic, prepared in front of us, and interestingly described. Everything about our evening was perfect. Will definitely come here again when I'm in Toronto. I wish I had taken more photos!

By far the best Korean bbq in Toronto. It’s a splurge but worth it. They deserve a Michelin star. Everything was delicious and service is amazing as well

Came with a group of 5 so got to sample many different items on the menu. From a value for experience, felt that Takja definitely delivered on what we expected coming in. I loved the Hangar Steak, but some of the best bites we had were the Iberico Pork, as well as the super crispy seafood pancakes. Highly recommend! Will be back again for sure.

We had a great time at Takja BBQ house. Service was excellent, friendly, and explained the ingredients, best combinations, etc. They really have a great crew and are engaging, which is important, because you're going to be seeing your server a lot while they prep the meats for you. Food was very high quality. The meat was very good quality and tasty - they know what they are doing here. Accoutrements were excellent - the white kimchi was a standout for me, It's the best I've had. The seafood tower was very good by Toronto standards, period. Incredibly fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is solid, a little tight in spaces like the bathrooms, it's not a big room. The booths are fine. Value is where things slightly break down for me. I'll say I am comfortable at expensive places and we eat at high end spots often. Takja served some very high quality seafood and meat, great ingredients, and wrapped it in a great service package. The bill was approaching four figures (2 cocktails, 3 beers, 2 mocktails, 4 people Hansang option plus 20% tip). The price is "ok", but you need cloth at the table Takja, and the plain brown paper towels in the bathroom should be those nice cotton-ey ones (you have great soap). The price point needs the little touches in these places.

Yelp
We ordered the Hangsang set menu and it was an incredible dinner. The seafood pancake was a standout, one of the best I've had, and the uni topping paired well with it. The seafood tower was on the smaller side but made up for it with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The chef selected beef selection was top-tier, featuring high-quality pork, wagyu beef, and a strip loin exclusive to the set menu. All were excellent, the wagyu was our favourite and melted in our mouths. The variety of sides, including different greens (cabbage, perilla leaf, lettuce) and the mushroom bibimbap, that our server recommended we add the squid sauce with took the experience to another level. We ended the night with bingsoo, which had a surprisingly strong flavour but was enjoyable. The service was excellent, our server cooked everything for us, was attentive, and provided great recommendations. Definitely a spot worth trying at least once!

Yelp
Definitely the fanciest Korean bbq I've ever had. Apparently it's the same owner as Mott 32. Seafood pancake was thick and delicious, sujebi clam soup was so umami. The meats were grilled to perfection by our Server. While I thought the grapefruit Binsoo was quite pricey at $24++ it was refreshing especially with the meringue. Service was top notch, he knew when to chime in and when to give us space. The food was delicious as well. Cool space with dry aged meat in the windows. It was the attention to details with the service that really wowed me.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped by for dinner on a Friday night after snagging a last-minute reservation. We'd heard great things about this place and were excited to finally try it. Since we weren't too hungry, we ordered two meat dishes, seasonal vegetables, and seafood pancakes. For the meat, we chose the dry-aged ribeye and prime hanger steak--both were incredibly delicious. The seafood pancake was flavorful but a bit on the heavier side. Our server was super helpful and even cooked the food for us. Overall, the food was fantastic, and we had a wonderful dining experience. Takja BBQ has a more upscale vibe and is perfect for a date night or an intimate gathering with friends.

Yelp
Takja BBQ is a new Korean BBQ spot in Toronto. From the minds behind Oroshi Fish Co. comes this elevated Korean BBQ. They have top notch dry aged meat from A5 Wagyu Ribeye to Iberico Pluma. We got the Hansang which means "A table full of food". They will fill the table for you and you get to try a little bit of everything. It comes with a Seafood tower, seafood pancake, pork and beef, mushroom stone pot rice, and Bingsoo. We ordered Beef tartare which was not part of the Hansang. It was different from any beef tartare I have had before. It was definitely Korean style beef tartare with the gochujang. The ambiance was really modern and clean. Overall, I had a great experience.

Yelp
High end KBBQ place located on College West. This is the first place like this in Toronto as it's like a fancy and pricier KNBQ spot. It's a great restaurant for a date night. The servers cook your meats for you so you don't have to worry about doneness. A lot of their meats are dry aged and nice quality. I definitely recommend getting the seafood pancake as an appetizer. I also loved the different kinds of veggies they gave for ssam wrap. I didn't get a chance to try their shaved ice for dessert which looked super good. I ordered a yuzu spritzer for a.non-alcoholic beverage and really liked it. The servers were very nice, knowledgeable and attentive. I was pleasantly surprised to not smell like kbbq smoke afterwards!

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we had the HANGSANG which was a selection that included the seafood tower, the pancake, a cut of pork, three choices of beef including the A5 Wagyu. The meal was terrific, from the flavours to the high quality cut of meat, and the service was excellent. This will be my favourite BBQ place.
