"Takopa, the Japanese street food restaurant in Chinatown Plaza from Go Hoashi, closes on March 29. Go Hoashi, the owner of Izakaya Go, the sushi burritos at Pokeman, and Ramen Show, plans to replace it with a second location of Ramen Show. Takopa marked the first traditional takoyaki restaurant in Las Vegas with a menu of octopus balls in original, spicy, with a spicy cod roe, or with green onions and homemade dashi sauce for less than $10 when it debuted in October 2018. Earlier this week, Takopa reported that business has been slow." - Susan Stapleton

"Takopa from Go Hoashi, the owner of Izakaya Go and Pokeman, features a menu of octopus balls, which Hoashi calls a “common food in Japan,” in original, spicy, with a spicy cod roe, or with green onions and homemade dashi sauce for less than $10. Diners can order a four- or 16-piece sampler." - Krista Diamond, Susan Stapleton
"This will mark the first expansion away from Chinatown’s Spring Mountain Road for the restaurateur, who already operates Izakaya Go, recent arrival Takopa, specialists in Japanese street food and Pokeman, still serving its own spin on the sushi burrito since 2016." - Bradley Martin
"Japanese street food in Chinatown. Las Vegas’ Chinatown neighborhood is a food lover’s paradise with seemingly endless culinary delights to uncover. For diners interested in sampling the area’s diverse range of dining options, Takopa makes a worthwhile addition to the list with cheap Japanese street food including okonomiyaki (a savory Japanese pancake topped with bonito flakes), noodles, and takoyaki (octopus balls)." - Krista Diamond
