Where to Enjoy a Glass of Chardonnay This Summer in New York | Eater

"Dancing hibachi flames are a common occurrence at the patio at Takumi, where you can enjoy a full teppanyaki show or dive into their sushi menu under the open sky. The energy is lively, but the outdoor setting adds a relaxed spin. Harken’s creamy texture balances the spice and umami of the dishes, and yes, a second glass is a good idea." - Julia Gómez Kramer

Google
I give Takumi a 4/5 rating. The food was good, I did enjoy my hibatchi meal, and they made my order exactly how I asked and were able to accommodate my allergies. We enjoyed the sushi rolls, the tuna avocado, and the eel was good. We were not a fan of the sushi tacos. The green tea martini was delicious. The service was good they were very clean and fast. The hostess was not welcoming at all. Other than that, we enjoyed our time and food at this restaurant.

I ordered the hibachi that day — the food was actually quite tasty, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The service was fine, nothing to complain about, and the staff was polite. Food came out at a normal pace, not particularly fast but not too slow either. The main issue was the strong greasy smell inside the restaurant. As soon as I walked in, there was this heavy odor — like old oil or smoke — that lingered in the air and made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. It really took away from the overall experience. If they can fix the ventilation, it’d make a big difference.

Google
I loved the decor and aesthetic. The hostess seemed bothered. Our Hibachi chef was amazing. The food was delicious. Would deff recommend.

Google
I really like this restaurant! I have a wheat allergy and when I told my server she said they have gluten free soy to make hibachi in the kitchen. I really wanted sushi, so she helped me pick out 2 rolls that didn’t have anything I couldn’t eat. She also alerted the kitchen and let them know to leave off the crunchy bits. We also had miso soup and a really big seaweed salad, I forgot to take pictures of! Everything was delicious and my husband and I had a really nice experience.

Google
I visited Takumi midweek for lunch and chose two delicious lunch specials, each priced under $14. The service was outstanding, with friendly staff delivering our meals promptly. I’d happily return in a heartbeat for another delightful meal.

Google
i go take out. i’ve been wanting to try a new hibachi restaurant. i ordered the fried rice with steak. originally i was just going to include that it is very flavorless and the pieces of steak are just trimmings. then i found a hair in my food and was completely disgusted. it is kinda hard to see but once i pulled it out it was more difficult to see at all. i have red long hair so im assured its not my own.

Google
I went here recently for my birthday and it was so fun! I had Chef Wong. He was very kind and exciting to watch. He cooked the food in an engaging manner while making sure each customer had the correct order. It was so delicious! I mentioned it was my birthday and the staff brought me over a wonderful birthday crown <3 One of the best spots I have been to in a while.

Google
We were seated right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was low light and cozy. It was very noisy, especially since we were seated closer to the hibachi area. Although the hibachi seating is a great attraction, I wish they had a wall or sound barrier to minimize loud sound. The cook/performer was very loud!! That being said, we overlooked that and proceeded to view our menus. The lighting was so low that we literally took out our phones and used our flashlights. 😉 I ordered a gin and tonic with a twist of lime. What I received was gin and club soda with a twist of lemon. I drank it anyway. The american dream role and the land and sea roll were delicious!! My sister ordered the takumi roll, which was also delicious ( I wish I had ordered it myself!)!! Our friend ordered the spicy crabmeat encrusted filet mignon. She was disappointed as the flavor was bland and the filet was okay. Overall I would recommend this place and we would return.

Yelp
Takumi is so good, whether you're dining in or grabbing and going... If you swing by before 3PM, Monday through Friday, their lunch special is a steal: two rolls for $14 or three for $18, and it comes with soup or that ginger salad you know and love. I'm all about salmon, so it's always spicy salmon or salmon avocado for me. And if I'm staying a while? A lychee martini is so obviously happening. Takumi's one of those spots that always hits! It's fresh, fast, and friendly. If you know, you know.

Yelp
We used to frequent 110 Japan before they closed down and always sat with Jackie Chan. (No, seriously, that's what he wants to be called) We found out that he moved with the rest of the team to Takumi and on my most recent trip to NY, we paid him a visit. He probably doesn't remember us but he treats us like family. The food here is delish every single time! My love and I are like big kids every single time he does all his fire tricks. And ths Sake shots across the table?? Fuhgeddaboudit!!!! Haha. He gets us feeling right every time! I had the chicken with fried rice and veggies. My love had the chicken and shrimp and extra yummy sauce. All the employees here are great and being that ita attached to a mall, it still somehow feels like a stand-alone restaurant and easily accessible from the parking lot. The interior decorations are quite chic and subtle. Thank you guys for all your hard work. I'll be back on my next trip home.

Yelp
A Perfect Birthday Celebration Ambiance: A Cleanliness: A Customer Service: A+++ Food: A Price/Value: A Ambiance and Cleanliness I love "swanky" places, especially when I'm celebrating something, and Takumi checks all the boxes. The restaurant is spacious and spotlessly clean. The hibachi seating is fantastic--big, cushioned chairs that are super comfortable. Customer Service The show was GREAT! Our chef was incredibly friendly and funny, making the experience so much fun. The sake he squirted into our mouths (which sounds way more R-rated than it actually was) was delicious, and he didn't skimp on it either! To top it off, they gave me the cutest pink, light-up crown to wear for my birthday, which added such a special touch. Food Everything from the soup and salad to the main meal was absolutely delicious. We started with gyoza (dumplings), which were tender and flavorful. I had the chicken and Angus steak combo with fried rice, and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous--I honestly thought I'd need to be rolled out of the restaurant by the end! Price Even though it was my birthday, I got a quick peek at the check (my dad needed help calculating the tip, haha). For three people, including four alcoholic drinks, three appetizers, and our entrees (two of us had Angus steak combos, and the third had scallops and shrimp), the total was about $170 before tip. For everything we got, the price was incredibly reasonable. === Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable! I'll absolutely be back the first chance I get.

Phillip C.

Yelp
Great service and very good food. I didn't realize it was at the mall but definetly worth checking out. Very reasonable prices and the place is clean so I would definetly recommend giving it a try.

Yelp
This place is great, usually our go to for sushi. The only complaint I have is I can't get smoked salmon in my sushi here anymore. The last three times I had it, there was a fish bone. I mean, I guess that's good because it's fresh? But I work at an ENT office and I've seen what fish bones could do if swallowed. Hibachi is great too! Very fun chefs.

Yelp
Unfortunately after being a very loyal customer of takumi since they've opened, they mistakenly put fish eggs (more than the ones pictured here) in my vegetarian order and they refuse to refund me my actual order that was $12, they said they can put a $6 credit on my account after they refused to deliver a new order. ***I ONLY asked for a refund on my portion of the order OR for them to remake and send a new one which was also refused. I said i will be giving them a bad review on yelp and my social media which is a fair thing to say when the restaurant makes food wrong and refuses to make It right*** A small or large amount doesn't matter when you are a vegetarian and it's sprinkled all over the food. The manager said meet me half way, that is not acceptable and good service and worth to lose a customer over.

Yelp
Still my favorite sushi spot. Sushi is always fresh. Great service and ambiance. Had a couple of red dragons and a sushi sashimi for one since I haven't had it for the longest.

Yelp
Came back two weeks later and I have to say the service wasn't just exceptional it exceeded all expectations. The food was just as phenomenal as the first time with the tuna standing out as some of the best I've ever had. This time I also tried their drinks and dessert both of which were absolutely top-notch and perfectly complemented the meal. I got the chance to chat with the staff and their warmth and attentiveness truly elevated the entire experience. This place continues to impress on every level!

Yelp
Arrived with time to spare for Happy Hour menu/prices. We sat n sat n sat n waited & waited and waited and waited. Not noticed, acknowledged or an "I'll be right with you." Counter was a mess from last guest- soy sauce everywhere. FINALLY bartender came round the corner, notice us, we asked for menus and male bartender with glasses and man-bun LITERALLY tossed them at us. Finally circled back to take our order- proceeded to order off Happy Hour menu- advised that it was over.... Um- no. "We've been sitting here for 15 minutes." Ungraciously took our order, complete lack of customer service and when I handed him the menus back, made a point of stressing- "see how I didn't toss them at you?!" We've eaten here before and never had an issue, both bar and hibachi. I do recognize that perhaps short staffed at the bar- But shouldn't a manager jump in? We just decided to leave- expressed our disdain and disappointment and will only come for Hibachi or takeout. Shame that this nasty bartender/server ruined it for us. Considering they have a Happy Hour M-F.... Maybe consider 2 staff. This was simply disgusting- worst experience ever. Sammy- thank you for researching the time stamp on service. One thing I've learned working in the industry. Just a simple "hello". I'll be right with you or some acknowledgement would have sufficed. Having menus literally thrown at us- does not help make our 7 minute wait any better. That's just plain rude and a poor reflection of your establishment.

Yelp
Amazing place to be Service is delightful, every time we come is a different experience. Never be disappoint it

Yelp
Incredible experience tonight for my friends birthday. Want to give a big thank you to our Hibachi master Johnny for being amazing and delivering a phenomenal experience for my friends birthday. The ambiance was great and loud and alive! Everyone was having a great time and the energy was even better. Highly recommend starting off with their miso soup and fried calamari. Their service was out of this world and I was impressed by how fast and delicious our food was prepared. Their filet mignon with shrimp were amazing, prepared perfectly and their Smokey white rice paired perfectly with everything. We had a phenomenal time tonight and we want to thank the staff for an incredible dinner.

Yelp
The maki combo C was good, totally worth the price. The spring rolls and the Gyoza were absolutely overpriced and just tasted blah. Don't think I'll be ordering from here again.

Linda M.

Yelp
Food is pretty good. Service good just not with a smile. But overall liked the drinks and meal
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Absolutely love Takumi. We order takeout for lunch every so often at the office and it is a hit every single time. The ginger dressing on the salad is probably the best I've ever had. The fish is consistently fresh. The miso soup is great. I've only ever gotten the lunch roll special but I'd love to try some sushi or sashimi. I can't speak to the ambiance as I've never stepped foot inside the place, but I would love to.

Yelp
I love there food the rock shrimp the sushi and the dragon drink. Hibachi is amazing and my main man Chris is the guy there. Very nice man pleasant funny and down to earth. The ambiance is like a movie very big clean and family and if you're solo it's for everyone. I go there often and if you never you should. I recommend it!!
google avatar

Elsy L.

Yelp
I've been here so many times- this is my go to Japanese spot. First of all the service is always spot on! Chris, our server, has been our server since the beginning of time and he is always so welcoming, friendly, attentive, and courteous. Chris always makes sure we are having a great time and he definitely takes care of us- not only prompt service, but also a friendly smile throughout it. You can tell he loves what he does. Chris, I believe is essential to the Takumi experience! The ambiance is nice. Always busy and clean inside, with dim lights and laughter heard from the hibachi tables. Food is always amazing! Their sushi and sashimi is always fresh and on point! I love their poke bowls also as well as their bento boxes. Their mango sauce pairs perfectly with sushi and sashimi. Their food is always fresh and tasty. And their lunch price deals are also pretty great! Here is what I've tried thus far: Appetizers: -Rock Shrimp Tempura: so delicious and a pretty great portion. -Fried Calamari: fresh but not my first choice. Breading is seasoned weirdly for my tastes and doesn't combine well with sauce. -Kani Salad: fresh! So delicious!! -Clear Soup: soooo delicious and fresh. I enjoy it every time! Entree: -Shrimp and Scallop Teriyaki Bento Box: so delicious and such a great deal! It comes with broccoli, carrots, zucchini and onion. Choice of white rice or fried rice (delicious!) kani salad, spring roll, California roll, and fruit. -Poke Bowl: so delicious and FRESH. You can build your own poke bowl. -Sashimi Lunch: so FRESH and delicious -Sushi Lunch- so fresh and delicious! Rice is not dry and fish tastes fresh Dessert: -Fried Oreo: so delicious and fresh! The batter is perfectly combined with the Oreo and the ice cream scoop pairs well! Sauce: -Mango sauce- such a nice sauce and fresh/homemade/unique! Pairs perfectly with any sushi/sashimi. 10/10 recommend!!!

Yelp
Great spot for sushi - always fresh - they also have hibachi dining also. They have couch areas also if you want to lounge and hang out also
google avatar

Remy M.

Yelp
Just sit on an end for hibachi. Only ask for Johnny as other chefs food prep is not as good tasting. The service isn't fast or good and you must ask for water. The setting is very loud so you'd have to scream for conversations.

Anton P.

Yelp
Food is alright at best, service is terrible. Even with reservation, you can be told to wait as long as 20 minutes in a crowded hallway. Clearly lacks the logistics to run a functional business
google avatar

Gabrielle S.

Yelp
Love the food here. I go here all the time. Hibachi is great. American dream roll is my absolute favorite. California roll is good. Wonton soup is good but very small portion.

A G.

Yelp
This place is ambience since I looked really nice. I've ordered takeout a few times and there's usually normally really good but recently I got a two roll and the tuna was very hard. It was almost hard to just take a bite of it. Maybe next time I'll stay clear from the tuna, but overall the experience is very quick. Their customer service is great. Their packaging is excellent as they give you a really nice high-quality bag and all the sauces And chopsticks that you need. They also have a buy one get one free deal on Uber eats that I utilize frequently, but besides the tuna issue, I would still go back. Just wish that the sushi was a little fresher.

Yelp
If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but it experience as a whole was not 4 star material so we'll have to round down for this one. Booked a birthday dinner here for 11 people, and the staff was wonderful in taking my reservation and allowing us to bring in a birthday cake which they cut and served for us. The food itself was delicious, no complaints. Younger diners in our party love hibachi (personally I think it all basically tastes the same), but plenty of us ordered sushi, hot entrees (sea bass was yum), kani salads and a variety of soups. All of the food was fresh and delicious and the hibachi chef entertaining the little ones was fantastic. Super personable and interactive. Drinks on the other hand were overly sweet and weak. On to the not so great. In my opinion, five years after the great disaster of the COVID pandemic...there is no reason why I should be looking through apiece of filmy-looking plastic to speak to the hostess when I enter a dining establishment. It's a bad look, one that should be reserved for bulletproof glass in dodgy gas stations, and had I not been expecting 10 more people I would've left. Once she leaves from behind the dirty plastic, the hostess was handling sticky, partially ripped menus with the same vinyl gloves on the entire time. There are no indications for anyone to be wearing PPE at a restaurant in this current environment and it's a major turnoff. If the establishment itself thinks the place is overrun with germs, well then so do I. Will not return, and wish I hadn't hosted a party there without checking out the scene first. I would've left after seeing the plastic snot barrier upon entering the front door.

Yelp
Great big location with a pretty expansive menu for just about any picky eatter to find something. They have both a Hibachi side of the restaurant as well was more private table(s) side. Many staff members buzzing around to refill drinks, take orders, and remove finished plates. Our server was patient and knowledgeable of the menu and checked on us periodically without being too over the top. ;) We started with a fresh Kani salad and vegetable Tempura as apps and then jumped into entrées. I had the Untouchable Roll, which tasted exactly as described. I definitely added some fresh ginger and soy to each bite as it helped elevate the combined flavors. I would totally order it again or try one of their many other rolls, knowing the quality at this point. The Mr. opted for a 2 protein poke bowl, which came out pretty hearty looking. He mentioned very tasty for his selections. We were at a private, small, more intimate table on the opposite side of the restaurant, and let's just say you could hear the roar of the crowd on the opposite side. I would definitely try this location again, maybe the Hibachi side, but only if I'm up for the noise level LoL! :) All in all, a worthwhile experience.

Vivene M.

Yelp
Food is always good as usual! We went for the happy hour, ****but just to give you a heads up on the happy hour you have to sit by the bar to get the half off apps and drinks. ***We had sushi and fried rice. It was delicious as usual. Their drinks are very strong but good. it was very busy but everything came out very.

Demishia O.

Yelp
Decided to have hibachi take out for dinner. First time eating there food. Ordered the filet mignon and scallops, angus and scallops snd salmon hibachi. The meal came to about $100 with delivery. Overall the food was ok. I feel like the shrimp and scallops were cooked to hard. The angus steak was good. The food was delivered on time.
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
Ordered hibachi for takeout here and was not disappointed. I got the chicken and shrimp hibachi with fried rice, miso soup and a side salad. Even with takeout I got great sized portions and everything was very hot and fresh. It was some of the best hibachi I've had and I'll be going back for sure.

Nevin M.

Yelp
Great food and great service and the appetizers are amazing the staff is really nice and most over all the food is perfect so I would go here everyday if I could. Also one more thing to mention is that the place looks like your in Japan it's self and the music says everything about it and over all the decor is amazing to. Perfect place I really recommend it.
google avatar

Mya B.

Yelp
This place had amazing food I really enjoyed the American Dream Rolls & Sexy Rolls (available during happy hour). The popcorn chicken was amazing and they were actually fried to perfection with some yum yum sauce for dipping. The meatballs were filling and delicious as well. As for the drinks.... not so much. The drinks tasted virgin and were not made in front of us despite us sitting at the bar during happy hour. I wonder if they were premade and sitting in a container or something. Idk. It was very odd. The California roll and chicken tempura rolls were lacking in flavor and the taste was being overwhelmed by the avocado. They need a better protein to avocado ratio. The ambience and service were great I would definitely go back and maybe just get wine or something. Food is amazing overall!

Nyra G.

Yelp
Sonny has no knowledgement of what goes on in his business. He speaks as if he's present at the time of an event of a phone call of a bug being found in the food. Being told to pick up another and to deal with an incompetent manager who doesn't know how to take care of customers is insane. I took two trips just to be offered $5 coupon and one will remake the food with a fly visibly in it. Nothing else offered i have recordings and will post on YouTube for all to view. Clearly they have food sitting out open in their kitchen with bugs. This establishment should be reported at this point. Sonny speaks on customer issues that he wasn't a part of. He's unapologetic and arguementive, learn to apologize and move on. They need to start recording calls so they can go back to conversation and hire better management. I'll never support this establishment again. Lost customer

Yelp
Went tonight and place was busy. Was able to get sat right away however. Service at hibachi places is very hit or miss; and while this was on the slower side it was still acceptable. Restaurant was extremely clean as well for how busy it was. Chef came to the table and put on the typical hibachi show that we have all seen. But ultimately we are there for the food which is delicious here. Great portion size, steak cooked to order and chicken not dry like you find at places like Benihana. The value of food is 100% worth it here for is reasonable price.

Yelp
If you're a fan of Hibachi, Takumi is a must ! Venue is new & clean. Nice vibe. Extensive menu and food is good. We hosted a birthday dinner and everyone loved Takumi. Staff was friendly and efficient. Salad with ginger dressing was amazing as well as the spicy edamame! Hibachi rice, steak , shrimp & veggies were the best in the area! We will be back

Yelp
Yaki udon, poke bowl with salmon and green tea soba, and chirashi lunch are great options to get. Lunch specials are pretty good too! Portion's are great for sharing with a group. I ordered take out to try this spot out after finding it on Yelp and google maps for food nearby the area and was surprised with the good food quality! They give big pieces of fish for the chirashi/poke bowls/hand roll, good flavor and overall quality was great. Top items to get: - yaki udon noodles (stir fried with some veggies and good flavor) - poke bowl, with salmon and green tea soba - chirashi lunch, big pieces of sashimi - lunch special bento boxes, yummy sides Average items (can try it if you're looking for more food): - Tonkotsu black ramen, pork chasu and soft boiled eggs are good but soup base was just ok and salty - soft shell crab tempura, just average - hibachi scallops - salmon avocado hand roll Items to avoid: - shooting stars - sushi bomb (not worth the price, get 3 rolls lunch for more pieces) - pork gyoza - shrimp tempura appetizer (got soggy in the box) - chicken yakitori (skewers, just ok and skippable) - rock shrimp tempura (not crispy) Wait time is about 40-45 minutes after you place the order, first time orders can get 15% off if you use their website.

Yelp
Purely surprised at the quality of sushi at Takumi! We ordered the sushi chef choice 75$ which was more than enough food! For the true omekase reservations prior hand is needed. Even our intent was for Omekase the chef choice option was up to par! The appetizer and soup was delicious and the subsequent sushi pieces was well balanced, fresh and bought a smile to my face! They threw in dessert! This is truly a very well executed meal! Anyone who wants a good sushi fix I would highly recommend! We didn't go for the hibachi but they are usually packed the sushi bar experience was at the booth!

Yelp
Always great!!! Amazing tasting sushi! Great drinks, cute chill vibe. Very busy on the weekends but staff are attentive. I frequently visit when in the area.

Yelp
The atmosphere in this place is so nice. The lights are low and they had string lights that really set the mood. The music was actually great too. The food was really tasty. I've had a lot of hibachi and this place definitely kept up to par in my opinion. However, the chicken was a little dry. The main reason I have to take off stars though is due to the service. Our waitress pretty much never came around. When we first got there, we were one of only a few tables yet we couldn't even get the waitresses attention to take our order. And it took even longer to try and get her attention to get the check. Not great.

Nick M.

Yelp
Amazing food great service & so reasonably priced !! Also so consistent! I have been eating at this owners establishment for over 10 years , I can honestly say I've never had any experience other than amazing !

Yelp
The place is a vibe but the drinks was not good and the sushi was average. Definitely need to go back for the habachi it sounded really fun

Yelp
I brought 13 girls there for a birthday hibachi dinner. The host and chef were good. The food was eh - not great, but not bad. Basic Hibachi. My issue was that 7 of the girls ordered the $40.00 Filet Mignon. I think- and maybe I'm wrong here- the waitress should have checked with me first. I had told the girls ckn, veg, shrimp only. I've done many hibachi birthday parties before (@ Kumo) and it's never been more ex than 700.00. This was almost 1,000! Next year, I'm going back to Kumo - better vibes, food, and price point!
google avatar

Anthony M.

Yelp
The sushi here is so fresh and delicious and there's just so much to choose from. Don't get me wrong there's more than just sushi too! The appetizers were amazing as well. Don't forget drinks definitely get drinks you'll be glad you did. They'll def get you feeling fantastic haha the food came out super quick and at the ready for you to chow down. Even though we came for lunch and they had a crowd there was no issue. It's very well lit and cool looking inside. The bar is actually very big snd awesome looking. And the music the music is like movie soundtracks which I appreciated a lot it was like having lunch on a movie set

Yelp
Fresh and flavorful sushi, with a vibrant ambiance right in the heart of south shore mall, Bayshore NY. The theme of the my night was spicy and Takumi delivered on multiple levels. I ordered the cucumber jalapeño margarita and swapped out the patron it comes with for Herradura Blanco. The price to alcohol ratio was appropriate ($13). For my sushi, I ordered, the signature Angry Dragon Roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, yellowtail, jalapeño and avocado and yuzu wasabi). I asked for the yuzu wasabi on the side so I can dip to my liking. Also order the classic, yellowtail jalapeño roll. Both good options and the fish tasted fresh. Can't wait to try the hibachi! Pro tip for a weekend night : make a reservation or consider sitting at the bar for quicker check in.

Yelp
The Shooting Stars is a must try! Delicious!!! Unfortunately I was unable to eat in. Next time I will visit.

Yelp
So an unexpected flu got us stuck at home this Christmas. How happy was I to discover Takumi was open and able to deliver to my address. Very. I ordered a sushi dinner A & B. They were kind to immediately call me and let me know that some of it had wheat (I noted my gluten allergy in notes). They recommended substitutes and I went with those. The delivery was rocket fast. The sushi was great. When my son woke and was up for it he was able to sip the miso soup and eat a tuna roll. Brightened our Christmas for sure. I would highly recommend you try Takumi.

Yelp
Came here for drinks with friends after work and the drinks do not disappoint! I started off with the Red Dragon which was amazing. Nice and flavorful! I give it a 4.3 out of 5. Next up I had the Tropical Itch and that was not as pleasant but still delightful. The banana flavoring in the drink was way too overpowering and unpleasant in the mouth. Again, this is my personal preference but could be a really amazing drink for someone else. I give the Tropical Itch a 3.2 out of 5! My 3rd and final drink was the Tanked Mai Thai and boy did it deliver! I felt like I was on a tropical beach at an all inclusive resort drinking my problems away. I LOVED all the fruity flavors but still had the feeling of an adult beverage. Tanked Mai Thai 4.6 out of 5! Side note, if you're ever at Takumi and sit at the bar, say hello to Billy! Wonderful bartender and made my experience here at Takumi one I'll remember! Amazing service rating: Priceless. PSA!!! Try the FRIED OREO DESSERT! When I tell you it was like the heavenly gates opened in my mouth and I fell in love all over again. The blend of the perfectly fried Oreo with the matcha/vanilla ice cream was TO DIE FOR. Was the highlight and super star of the night. Fried Oreo Dessert 4.9 out of 5!

Yelp
Really good food and reasonable prices. Service was also good. Great spot for a sushi date night! I will try hibachi next.

Yelp
Delicious food. Great lunch specials. I love the shrimp tempura roll and the Tokyo roll. Very nice inside.

Yelp
This restaurant has great service and a friendly staff. The atmosphere is lively and many birthdays were being celebrated on the night my family dined there. The food was good and cost for hibachi was reasonable compared to other hibachi places. I deducted 1 star because some food items were salty, but that seems typical for hibachi places.

Yelp
What a great find! Yes, it's in a mall (or outside/attached). They have nice portions - got the poke bowl and was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the ingredients & sashimi. Not sure if they have specials or happy hour, but they should !

Yelp
Takumi is awesome! The restaurant is super nice and had a really cool vibe. I've been there twice so far, once for sushi and another time for hibachi. The service is great, they are super on top of everything. When we had sushi, we were brought over free dessert, which were fried Oreos and ice cream. The hibachi chef was super great, he was so funny, had everyone involved and laughing. It was truly a great time.

Yelp
The service was very good, however the food was not up to par the chef drowned the food in soy Sauce except for the rice which was lacking flavor I recommend Izumi hibachi in west Babylon
