Talea's West Village taproom serves up over 20 delicious beers, welcoming sips in a bright, cozy space perfect for casual hangouts.
"Talea, known for their sour beers and big taprooms, just added another one. Their Penn District location is their fifth, and third to open in Manhattan in just the last year. " - will hartman
"Ever since Talea moved into the neighborhood, it’s been our go-to alternative to all the overcrowded bars in the area serving $20 cocktails. Based out of Williamsburg, the women-owned brewery runs several taprooms in Brooklyn, as well as this pleasant, jewel-toned outpost on Christopher Street. The bright, spacious bar has plenty of little tables for when you need somewhere to hunker down with a friend for a couple of hours and drink some sour ales (or spicy pickle martinis). In addition to an interesting lineup of sours, stouts, and IPAs, they have a full cocktail menu and some snacks. " - bryan kim, katherine lewin, neha talreja, carina finn koeppicus
"Are you looking for a spacious room that’s bright enough for you to see if your date is writing down your personal details in order to steal your identity? Try Talea. The West Village taproom of the Brooklyn-based brewery is as casual as a coffee shop and done up in light pastels, with a long bar and a bunch of little tables spread throughout. Order a flight of beers if you need something to keep you present and engaged, or get a cocktail, glass of wine, or non-alcoholic draft." - will hartman, bryan kim, willa moore, neha talreja
"Something's happening on Christopher Street. First, Sushi Counter came along and immediately established itself as the best (and only) Australian-style sushi spot in the city, then L’Industrie opened a West Village branch, causing lines down the block. Go grab a slice, then get a drink at Talea next door. The Williamsburg-based brewery has a new taproom with pastel accents and plenty of seating, and it’s a nice place to sit with a friend and drink a sour IPA that has notes of blackberry sorbet." - Bryan Kim, Will Hartman, Willa Moore, Sonal Shah
