Talia's Steakhouse and Bar

I was expecting a little higher end atmosphere. The place looks like a bar from the wild west. After several attempts at asking to turn up the heat we ate most of the meal wearing our winter jackets. The entree, salmon was prepared fine but nothing special. I don't think I would ever go back.

I had one of the best customer service experiences at Talia's. I ordered a Thanksgiving meal for the office I work at, and not only was the service exceptional, but the food was honestly one of the best kosher Thanksgiving meals we’ve ever had. I’ve never felt so genuinely taken care of when ordering — every interaction with the team was warm, helpful, and attentive. Our whole staff was raving about how delicious everything was. I only wish I had taken photos because it was that good! We’ll definitely be ordering again for our next office event.

Ordered off door dash food came looking and tasting amazing. It was definetly worth the wait and i would recomend to order from here. They even sent metal forks and knives.

So I went here with my sister last night for dinner. I live in Brooklyn, and I despise the city, but i had amazing company so I went. I always wanted to try Talia's so I had high hopes. I found parking across the street and we walked in. There were 3 other tables woth people but not a waiter to be seen. We spent maybe 3 or 4 awkward minutes standing there. Then someone came and gave us a table. The table rocked back and forth so we moved. Then we got the menu and some water. We ordered the sampler. The knish was literally raw on the inside, the chicken was bland, the kibbeh was ok, the falafel was ok, but the cigars were AMAZING. I asked the waiter if they make it in house he said no. They get it from BROOKLYN. My sister asked for ketchup, ugh, it Never came. I went to the kitchen and asked the chef who was the only one there, and he gave it to me. I got the prime rib, my sister got the cauliflower steak. What the heck is a cauliflower steak?? Anyway she said it was good. I don't see how one can mess up a slice of cauliflower. My prime rib came out on a sizzling plate. It was ok. Nothing special, nothing to justify 80 dollars. I got spinach with it, I wish they had Mrs dash so I could put some flavor in it. Anyway while it was nice to see my sister and hang out, I was disappointed with our food experience. Btw I realized at the end where all the waiters went. Turns out there is a shawarma place next door that the waiters in talias work. They were very busy, made me jealous that I didn't go there.

We stumble into this restaurant and we decided to try it. Service was professional and the server was polite and knowledgeable. We tried the mixed grill for 2 - it was amazing. Cooked to perfection. The prices are reasonable. We definitely will go back and highly recommend to my friends.

Everything I ate is very good. The steak is delicious--good consistency, great taste, and it's kosher! The Yemeni chicken is a must. Service personnel are kind and attentive. The place is not cheap but 1. It's New York; 2. It's kosher. I will definitely come back.

This restaurant is awash with cockroaches on the walls, and they were even walking across our table. We made the owner aware of the problem and he was pretty much making light of it and amused by it. All he offered was excuses…how do you get an ‘A’ rating from the city with disgusting critters crawling all around your patron’s head and food? We were so nauseated, we couldn’t even finish our meal. Unfortunately, they made us pay in advance so there was no recourse. I am a senior citizen and can say this is just about the most unpleasant dining experience I have ever had, and I have eaten out A LOT!! In addition, we had to ask for things ie lemon and silverware multiple times. Quite shabby service for a $150 pre-fixe meal. After reporting them to the Board of Health, we were informed that this was FAR from the first complaint about them. If there were negative stars, I would rate this dirty place accordingly

We were there last night for chol hamoed pesach. i am thrilled that the place was busy and people were coming out . The food was excellent but hard to enjoy with the cold weather coming in. our waiter, Francis was awesome! It was cold and windy last night and the front door keep being held open and especially rude people ... there should be some sort of outer door to cut the cold. or perhaps a heater something to cut the cold weather. many people were complaining but they did not seem to care as long as people keep coming in. Additionally the man in the front seating people was very rude and walked away in the middle of my speaking. he needs people skills no matter how busy you are ...

What a terrific meal and atmosphere. Open soon after Shabbat ended and we sat for hours having a leisurely delicious and abundant meal. I wouldn't generally go for French fries but they brought over a plate for the table and they were clearly cut fresh potatoes even though they appeared just like any other fries. I even asked if one of the appetizers (breaded cauliflower) could be substituted as a side for my dish and he accommodated what I know can be annoying request.

this was my second time here and i had another good experience, although there were some strange things. we called in advance to make sure that they were open, as we were going at 10:30 pm and the website said they were open until 1:00 am. we called and they said they were open, but when we got there, they seemed confused and asked if we were there for shawarma. we said no that we were here for talia's and asked if that was okay. the man was pretty rude and barely even answered us. then a nice man came out and said sorry and that he'd check if it was okay. after he said that it was fine, we ordered and our waiter was incredibly nice. he brought us a complimentary plate with hummus, baba, israeli salad and more. it was amazing and the pita was warm and yummy. our food came out pretty quickly and was absolutely delicious. something that i thought was odd was that they were playing 90s hip hop, which i love, but i think is strange for a kosher restaurant. again our server was amazing and so was the food. when we paid, my grandfather said to bring the receipt back so he could leave a tip and our waiter said that the system they used didn't let us or something. my grandpa gave him some cash which he refused as first but eventually took very gratefully. i like this restaurant, and i will be back, but sometimes there is a weird vibe

The food was ok but I must mention the absolute rudeness of the male server tonight. When I came in, there were hardly any tables and I had made a reservation. He approached me and asked if I was there for the shawrma. I said no. He then proceeded to lie to me to say that the table that I was sitting at was reserved for that. I looked at him quite perplexed. I came in to get a steak. He then changed his trick and said "Ok - table for 1? I said yes. I decided not to react, but the service was horrible. I could not believe his rudeness. I had to beg him for the wine list and the wine was not very good. Then when I asked for a check, he did not even bother to clear my empty plate. Whereas, there were other people that came in that he was a totally different server to. His misogyny was unbelievable. Not too impressed. It's not worth it being treated so horribly.

The food was amazing but the service was subpar. They were slow with service and asked us to pay a tip after the meal was paid for. Speaking of which, they had a broken receipt machine and refused to give us an official receipt of our dinner. To summarize, great product but professionally dishonest.

My family and I went for the first night of Passover. It was my first time eating at Talia's. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect for the holiday, with my elderly father. It was easier to go out and have to bring him to one of our homes, which is a distance for him. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Thank you for a lovely Seder.

Another reluctant return to Talia's Steakhouse, this time because of a guest chef, to remind me of my mom's authentic Persian cooking. And that it did. I came with an open mind but was reminded of the management's complete arrogance. I was curious to observe the kitchen, part of which is located in a dirty basement. Eventually, the NYC Department of Health will catch up with them and issue multiple summonses; I counted three very obvious ones. And sit as far away from the bathroom as you can!

Talia's Steakhouse takes a person back to Old New York City. Located on Amsterdam between 92nd and 93rd Streets, the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining. The cuisine is a mix of American and Middle Eastern. I recommend starting with the Mid-Eastern salad platter and delicious pita. The Baba ghanoush is great. I then order the steak with a glass of red wine. Medium rare is the way to go and it is always done to perfection. So what is a restaurant review without some criticism? The service can be on the slow side but if you've been to Talia's before, you know what to expect and it's no big deal. Just use the extra time to sip your wine and look out on Old New York City. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Consistently delicious food whether their addictive crispy cauliflower, traditional burger with amazing fries never over salted and the the best matzah ball soup, you don't leave disappointed. The owner cares about the customers' experience which really has me back for more! Talia's and Shawarma Shabazi next door should not be missed!

We celebrated our granddaughte's Sheva Brachot at Talia's. And just like last year, Effie did not disappoint! The food was tasty, portions extremely generous, the atmosphere was lively, with an added bonus : perfornance by KoshaDillz . Effie went above and beyond to make our celebration the best possible! Highly recommend i!!!

I was really pissed off when I spent over $100.00 for dinner close to $120 for 2 ribeye dinners one medium and one medium rare and both were well done and given the wrong sides. I called and the person was rude and I did not want a refund but just my order. Bad customer service

My sister made a reservation to come here last Saturday night. She had bought a Groupon for 4 people and invited me and my boyfriend to join them for dinner. It was an spectacular experience. Everything was perfect. Elena/Helena was our waitress, she was incredible and made sure everything was exceptional for us. We received an appetizer on the house, which was "Homemade Hummus, Tahini, Babaganoush, eggplant salad, red cabbage slaw and beets", my sister and her boyfriend tried and loved every single thing. They also served some pita bread with pesto and pesto cream cheese or pesto butter on the house, not sure which one but was good anyway. We started the night with a bottle of red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon to be exact, which was more than excellent. The Groupon offered two bottles, we received the second with our steaks. We ordered appetizers and salads afterward, which were also included on the Groupon. We had Bbq Crispy Chicken Wings and Moroccan Cigars accompanied with Talia's Salad and Roasted Beet Salad, everything was appetizing and tasteful, definitely inviting us to anxiously wait for what was left. After the appetizers, Helena served our entree choices. The four of us ordered Ribeye Steaks, of course they were incredibly juicy, exquisite, mouthwatering. We were definitely in Heaven. Each Entree came with two sides, as per our Groupon. I ordered the incredible Mashed Potatoes and Sweet Potato Fries and they were both simply perfect. The mash potatoes were made with some garlic taste, it was very flavorful. We went down a bottle and like 1/4 of the second and then ordered dessert, which was also included in the Groupon. We had two desserts, ordered a Tiramisu and Chocolate Cake. Helena informed us the Tiramisu was kosher, in case we wanted to change our option, we acknowledged but decided to keep the order. We made the right decision, the Tiramisu was lovely. We all loved it. After all the food, our waitress Helena brought the bill, which included just the taxes as the Groupon does not cover for them. We stood at the restaurant for about another hour and finished the Wine Bottle. It was a lovely experience as much as it was a lovely evening. In our opinion (unanimous), the price of the Groupon does not even cover 1/4 of the amount of the scrumptious food we were able to consume and enjoy on our visit, plus also getting two bottles of wine, along with an outstanding, splendid service from our waitress and all the staff at the restaurant. Definitely looking forward to come here again and devour another one of those savory, delightful, succulent Ribeye steaks. And definitely would be lucky and would love to have Helena hosting our evening again.

We've been there during Passover. Yes, the menu is overpriced but the service was good, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. After eating in 3 other KFP restaurants, this one was by far the best. I hope that one day, prices will be fair. 5 stars for good menu, good service and delicious food.

Came here last night after a long time because they were having a 2 night Indian cuisine and was curious to see how a steakhouse will manage to pull this off. But boy oh boy, did they. We had to wait awhile for our table of 8 cause the restuarant was completely full and the crowd was really enjoying the food. The wait was worth it cause that Chicken Biyani, Lamb Potato Curry and Chicken tikka masala were very authentic and delicious. They also comped our drinks at the bar and the appetizers, which was very thoughtful. The crew is very professional and courteous. And the owner, Effie, is one super host and very welcoming and understanding. Will definitely be going back to try out their steaks and lamb chops. Bravo to them on maintaining this restuarant for all these years on the upper west side.

I host my friends every year at Talia's to celebrate my birthday. The food is tasty, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is great. All 20-something of us in attendance each year finish our meal looking forward to celebrating again next year at Talia's!

Went last night to Talia's. They featured a vegetarian Indian Pop Up Menu in observance of the Nine Days. My daughter in law accompanied me & we chose the tasting menu which included: 2 soups, 2 appetizers, 2 mains, 2 mango lasis and 2 rice puddings for dessert. The soup was delicious. The appetizers were difficult to eat & neither of us enjoyed it. The mains were outstanding. We took spinach & chickpea curry & cauliflower & potato curry, both served with rice. The rice pudding was very tasty. We didn't order the mango lasis since neither of us likes mango. I had an old fashioned cocktail & a glass of Malbec. The wait staff was very polite. The price for the tasting menu for 2 was very reasonable. We enjoyed the dinner. According to their website Talia's has been doing this Nine Days Indian Pop-Up dinner for 22 years. Their regular menu is a steakhouse menu. My late husband & I have dined here on their steakhouse menu. The food was delicious. Check out Talia's for their Nine Day Menu & their Shabbat menu.

We were celebrating out marriage anniversary and our host was very nice and service was slow at first but it got better as the night went on. Atmosphere: 5 of 5 Was good, have TV, Bar. Good for couple and family. Very relax and enjoyable. Decor: 4 of 5 Dress code: none, casual. At first I was worry cause we wanted to walk around the area and central park first and is hot outside. Food: Delicious 5 of 5. Both our steak was cook to perfection, very juicy and sides was good except the sweet fries was too burn to come out. Appetizer delicious. Cost: 4 of 5. A little pricey. Overall: 5 of 5, we had a great night and food was really good except the burn fries.

The humus and Israeli salad dishes are one of the best dishes that I've ever had in the States. It reminded me of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The wait staff, especially Oner, was outstanding. And the portions were large enough to share.

Not worth it. Lamb shank and chicken Franchaise was very dry. Lamb shank was the smallest I've ever had. For the price not worth it. They get two starts because they did bring an appetizer and pita with delicious spreads. Those were good but i will not return

Sadly, this place should have their license to serve food revoked. Went there with a party of 9 (another person in the group posted, and somehow their review is now deleted), and waited over 90m for entrees to come out that never did! This, after our table was seated for our 6pm reservation at 6:40 (yes, we even arrived early). Got one thing to go, and when we got home to open it...it was totally raw! Image enclosed. Glad we didnt eat it and have to go to the hospital. Avoid this place like the plague... or risk getting it here!

I was very excited to eat at this restaurant. Finding a Kosher restaurant is difficult but to find one that serves on Shabbat, I was looking forward to it. I grew up in the restaurant business, Jewish food, so I am a maven. The restaurant had a beautiful table setting and the staff was very friendly greeting us. Due to COVID we sat outside which was done very well. The table had a white table cloth, challah and grape juice for Kiddush. We prepaid and that was great. The soup was chicken and very typical with a lemon flavor which was good. The matzo balls could not be eaten they were not fully cooked and hard in the middle. We got two meatball dinners and one chicken dish. The side dishes were just fine, mashed potatoes and vegetables. But the meatballs had no flavor as well as the chicken medallions had no flavor. The desert was a delicious chocolate layer cake. I suppose the right thing to do was to complain to the owner, but he was preoccupied with a water leak in the restaurant and the last thing he needed to hear was my critic of his dishes. I love Jewish food but unfortunately, I will not return with our family.

I would like to recommend Talia's Steakhouse and bar for its high quality service, delicious food, high level personnel, and good vibes. I'm definitely going to come back and enjoy from this great restaurant.

Superb food and amazing service. The selection of food during Passover specialty dishes were excellent. We had Butchers Cut steak Chicken Fingers Chocolate Dome Cake Filet Mignon and were very pleased. Thank you.

Talia's is the perfect combination of great food, friendly service, plus spiritual and social edge, that currently has no rival in the Manhattan Kosher meat scene. There are a few other kosher places nearby, but my and my family's favorite has always been Talia's. Also, as noted by others, they have been doing a great service by offering various chefs and types of cuisine, in periodical Pop Up Restaurant offerings. But moreover, they are creating community by holding Shabbat dinners, as well as Singles events and Jewish spiritual classes (both of which I am sure they area losing a lot of business and money for, but this is all in support of the Chosen People, the Chosen Language (Hebrew), and the Chosen Land (Israel)). Effi, the owner, is the type of Jewish man we need more of -- while he has been successful in keeping his restaurant open, he and family are so friendly and nice, and have been selfless in their dedication to the community.

10 out of 10 for Talia's Steak House it was a delightful dining experience with impeccable service and an inviting host/owner. The highlight of the menu, the lamb chops! exquisitely seasoned and flawlessly cooked to perfection. A must try for anyone that loves steak houses.

The place is under new management and it's worth another try! We did the pop-up restaurant on the Indian night it was literally THE BEST Indian food my wife and I have ever had! And we even had it as takeout, can't imagine if we ate it fresh. We had a hiccup with our prior order and Daniel went above and beyond to deliver excellent service...and food!

I had reservations for the first night of Passover Seder at another place that I was not able to keep so I urgently looked for reservations for the second night of Passover Seder and found that this was the only place that had availability. I was a little wary given the mixed reviews but figure, how bad could it be? Let's just say for $140 per person for 3 people (my credit card statement says $457.03 to be exact), I expected more than what we got. The actual service provided (reading from the Haggadah, singing, etc.) was pleasant. For a brief moment I felt like this room filled with strangers (and many empty tables by the way) was actually filled with distant relatives as we all sang, and it created a nice vibe, albeit pretty disorganized at times. That is where the good (kind of) ends though. Note, the Seder plates were not actual Seder plates, and the salt water was omitted for whatever reason so we used our soup to represent the tears. 1. Our server (very quiet and sweet but timid elderly woman) could not speak a word of English, which proved to be very problematic trying to explain things like allergies to her. 2. Our Haggadahs were covered in food, one of them with mashed potatoes in between the pages. A woman came over and switched them out, explaining that a large group of kids had been sitting at our table at the earlier seating. Okay, fine, but ALL FOUR of our Haggadahs were covered in food - do you not look at all while setting up for the next seating? 3. For three people we were given two tiny plastic bottles of very cheap sweet kosher wine. Cheaper than Manischewitz if you can believe that. I would have happily bought a bottle of wine but nobody came by to ask us if we wanted drinks, just the said timid woman hurriedly taking our choices for first, second and fourth courses. 4. We were given one plate containing two matzohs wrapped in a wrinkled paper napkin. I was underwhelmed. 5. The salmon croquettes were not fresh, they came from the freezer. How do I know this? Mine was ice cold. My uncle's was room temp at best. My aunt said hers was warm but I know she was just being nice. 6. The matzoh ball soup was also room temp at best and not at all seasoned. I could have made a better one from a mix. Sorry, not sorry. 7. My lamb was again room temp at best, and super fatty, but frankly it was exquisite and tender, and I was happy I ordered it because... 8. My aunt's salmon was 1/3 completely raw at the bottom near the skin, and 9. My uncle's STEAK was overcooked, dry and very tough. Um... this is a STEAKHOUSE is it not?!?! My fault, I put in his selection as the steak thinking it was a safe choice in a steakhouse. It was super thin, like a piece of meat from a TV dinner. Really really really bad. 10. Dessert was a cup of chocolate mousse with whip cream from a can on top - something you'd get at Golden Corral. Not to mention probably not kosher. 11. At one point the owner came over and introduced himself and we all just smiled politely as he had food all over his jacket. My uncle, being a good sport, told me he wanted to write me a check for the meal because he didn't think I should pay, and when I told him what we were charged this poor man's face displayed immediate regret. I don't know, maybe it's better on a more "typical" night but I have to point out that all this happened and by no stretch of the imagination was the restaurant full - there were plenty of empty tables. $140/person for cold bland food not cooked properly, really? This was just one of those experiences where so much went wrong, you just don't even bother complaining because there's no way they can get it right. We left in a hurry, thanking the owner, who was blocking the door, and giving a very lukewarm "it was good" as we rushed out. I went home and ate a box of Ritz in lieu of matzoh. It could be worse - at least I'm not a slave in Egypt. L'chaim!

Unbelievable staff!!! We love this place don't pay attention to those other reviews, we dine out at 5 star restaurants only and Talia's is up there for sure!!! Excellent food, service and the works you will have a great time on a date night or family. Yalla!!!

New vibe and I think a new chef! The food was delicious! All the dishes were prepared well, the meat cooked just right. The survive was great too and my favorite part was the live violinist. Pretty romantic! Ps. Free glass of vine with check in.

I've been going to Talia's for years. The food and the service are wonderful. It's a very warm and welcoming environment. I definitely recommend it for a night out.

I've eaten at Talia's many - many - times over the years, including the occasional Shabbat dinner. They've all been good, but this most recent Yom Tov meal for the end of Pesach was outstanding. We had a vegan, a vegetarian, a pescatarian and an old-school carnivore, and we were all happy with our meals. The food was excellent, the portions were nearly too large (didn't stop us from finishing) and the service was friendly and professional. I also made the reservation nearly at the last moment and was accommodated. They helped make the end of chag even more enjoyable.

A restaurant worth raving about: Talia's Steakhouse & Bar, one of the staples of the West Side. And not just the restaurant but the owner Effie Nagar as well! Our story begins two weeks ago, when my lovely friend and I wanted to go out to eat in a convenient and outdoor location. Since we both live near 93rd that hit both marks! Plenty of outdoor seating and good distance between tables. Upon perusing the menu, we saw duck. And not everyone likes duck, but we were excited to realize that we both enjoy it (and how often does one get to have it let alone share it?!) so we were all in for the duck. Turns out, maybe since not everyone is as keen about duck and maybe with COVID, the duck was frozen when we asked for it and while Effie was happy to start a process of making it then for us, we were hungry and happily decided to instead have their Yemenite chicken and beet salad (both of which were SO yummy). But Effie went above and beyond and because we couldn't have the duck and gave us a complementary salad/ pita plate! And boy was that some good hummus!!! But mostly we were just taken aback by his kindness. We told him we'd return for the duck and he said to just give him a few hours notice so they can prepare it. Tonight was that night. I called Talia's this afternoon to let them know we were coming for the duck. Effie himself picked up, and said he'd call me back to confirm. I missed his call but he actually texted me to tell me that we're on for the duck. When we got there, and mentioned to our waiter that Effie had prepared the duck for us, she said absolutely and then we were all on the same page of Malka and I being the girls who wanted the duck haha. Now on to the food. We actually ordered the dips platter from the beginning this time because it was so yummy last time. And my friend loved her Moroccan soup. But for both of us, the highlight was the duck. OH THE DUCK. It had a beautiful crispy skin on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. And that peach sauce was DELICIOUS. We were thrilled. And THEN, I feel a few buzzes and I told my friend it was interesting that I got a few so let me check. Lo and behold it was Effie checking in on us (he had to step out for a bit) texting me to see how everything was. Now that's customer service. And it should be noted our waitress was also very pleasant and attentive. This place has everything you need- great location, COVID precautions, DELICIOUS food, and above all, an owner who really, really cares about his business, his food and his customers. Who really puts his all into everything this restaurant does. If you're in the area, or want to take a trip, I HIGHLY recommend supporting Talia's! What do I even say about Talia's? Well... One night i came here with my family for my grandfather's birthday. We had an 8 o'clock reservation, but they were running behind. Ok by us until... 10 minutes go by and we're still not seated.... 20 minutes go by and we're still not seated... 35 minutes go by and we finally get seated. Firstly they hand us menus before the water. all our food was ordered by the time we even got the drink list let alone water glasses. Then we waited again for our appetizers. Only one came in a normal amount of time. Then around 20 minutes after we received that one. The time is now 9:15 And then we waited AN HOUR AND A HALF FOR FOOD. They had the audacity to tell us we were second in line for food. They didn't even fill our water glasses or anything we had to ASK. FINALLY The food was absolutely mediocre. And they forgot stuff!!! Then they gave us a plate of rotting fruit for dessert and over charged us for everything. Save your money and just cook.

John, the manager is so sweet, accommodating and gracious! He made sure we were well taken care of and answered all of questions with a smile. We will definitely be coming back here!

I went to Talia's last week to meet up with an old friend.I was very excited to go here based on Groupon reviews and just browsing on their website. So! I ordered the rib eye steak (Medium) over mashed potatoes. The temperature of the meat was all wrong. It was more on the well done side but it had good flavor. The mash potatoes were BLAH! They tasted like instant mashed potatoes. Thank goodness the glass of Cabernet I had was good. After I forced myself to eat the ribe eye--- I barely ate the potatoes, the waitress asked us if we want dessert. I proceeded to ask for a menu. She says that she could just tell me what they have. My friend and I both ordered the strawberry shortcake. When we go it, it was plated very well and pieces of white chocolate. BUT it was way to sweet!! I also barely touched it. When I go the bill, I found out that the cake was $12 each which made me more angry. I was so disappointed with my visit to Talia's. I was expecting so much more! I really hope they work on improving their food.

Came here for Passover. Absolute joke. Without telling us, they put us in an overflow section in the room next door. The table they gave us (in the overflow section) was for 6 people - we booked for 9. They asked a couple already eating to move tables and then shoved their table onto ours and walla we had 9. Underneath our table had more matzah on the floor than on the table. Had to ask them to come clean it. Service was then non existent. They brought us wine - did not pour it. Just opened the bottle and left it on the table. We had 3 kids at the table but the only glasses on the table were wine glasses (1 of which was so dirty we had to ask to swap it). Then had to get up 3 times and go walk next door to ask where our starters were (after 40 mins). When the starters finally arrived, my main came with the starters ‍. And 2 of the started just never came. No explanation nothing. When mains arrived the steak came well done (requested medium rare). Salmon never arrived. It just never came. Long story short the manager eventually brought us the check and thankfully refunded us all items that were missing as well as giving us the steak for free The 1 Star is for the manager refunding everything. Honestly I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

Great steakhouse- Very recommended! We got a great fillet Minion with Salad, a tasty red wine and delicious Sofle chocolate. We enjoyed the kind service and live music. Very nice ambiance.

We stumbled on this place by Groupon accident. We were looking for burgers and cocktails and my gf found Talias. Upon entering, we were impressed by the large open window/ sidewalk space. The manger (I think) greeted us right away. He chatted up with us about her Jimi Hendrix shirt and made us feel welcome. Now I say "feel welcome" because even though we are in NYC on Amsterdam Ave, we were the only Black people in the restaurant for the entire 2 hours we spent here. Which is fine. The food was delicious. The free pita apps with garlic butter were great. The spicy chicken soup was hearty. The burgers and fries were juicy. The spicy cucumber martini was awesome, hence this lengthy review. But what really caught my attention was the fact that after we sat down, the music changed. I can't recall what boring mess was playing when we sat down. But suddenly I heard M. J. and then a whole interlude of Disco (that we're not into) was being played. For the entire time. It's hard not to think they played that for us. Lol. I appreciate it. But next time, if it's for ME, I'd rather some Reggae or Hip Hop. Thanks. I'll be back.

The ex BF wanted a steak, so I had no choice but to head to Talia's outdoors, as they stay open late while other restaurants seem to have to close. I was expecting another disappointing meal, having been there twice last year with family. Yes: it is consistently bad. Both his rib eye and my "Moroccan" salmon tasted as if they had been frozen, thawed and overcooked. Weird texture on the salad. One star for sweet waitstaff, at least. And if things could not get worse, the bathroom was disgusting and we witnessed two workers without protective masks in the vicinity of the kitchen! Last visit!

Food 3 stars. Steak for its price 2 stars (overpriced) Services 2 stars. Atmosphere 3 stars. Air quality 1 star. You can definitely get better steak with the same price or lower in this neighborhood. I'm not sure whether it was a busy day (last Sunday) or it was normal for people who eat kosher. The service was slow. After we made the order, we were not served with any food (not even bread) for 40 to 50 minutes. We already finished our drinks including an over-iced coke which was not refilled free. Our waitress apologized and brought a very tasty dip plate with pita bread on the house. She eventually didn't charge my refill of the coke. But after we finished the plate. There was still no steak. I ordered a medium rare rib eye and my BF ordered kebab. The worst was that I could not stop sneezing because of the terrible or non-existent ventilation system. The entire dining area smelled like the kitchen. My clothes and my hair smelled like the kitchen after we finally had food and left. It was a bad experience.

I ordered the 12 ounce grilled ribeye from Seamless for pickup. The order was ready in 20 minutes and came with a huge side of mashed potatoes. It was delicious. Really well cooked at medium as requested and juicy. Also came with a free side order of matzah ball soup through the Seamless offer. I would definitely order again.

Groupon dinner for 4 - pretty good find. We had dinner at 7PM on a Tuesday night, not too many people so it was perfect. From reading the previous reviews it seemed that the big issue with this restaurant was the service but complaints usually lined up with busy weekend dinner service, which is why I made my reservations for a Tuesday to avoid it. Our server Anna was very attentitive, super friendly, and came by frequently to check up on us, it also helped that she had an awesome accent! Free garlic herb butter with warm pitas - sooooo good! Appetizers: Combination platter - had a variety of things - very yummy!!! Dips combo - babaganoush, hummus and eggplant - all sooo good, hummus was ok. Meals: Butchers Cut (Okay- flavor was decent but the cut was only OK wish it was juicier) Prime Rib - medium rare and sooooo perfect and delicious and juicy (drooool!!!) Sides: Mash potatoes - it was ok French fries - BEST fries everrr, soo good Spinach Risotto - it was ok Bottle of red wine - pretty good. Overall great Groupon deal but we ended paying $67 for tax and tip which is correct, according to my own calculations as well but damn!! I took away one star because I believe that even though everything was cooked perfectly and it was delicious, the price per steak is too high. After our meal the owner came by and checked in on our experience and service, I was very impressed with the overall difference in service compared to the yelp reviews. Very happy that this restaurant is taking the feedback seriously. I would definitely return and recommend to friends and family as long as we come with a Groupon - hehehe

The food is delicious and always comes hot when delivered! The staff were so helpful with recommendations and making sure I was taken care of. I recently ordered from their Indian pop up menu and as usual it did not disappoint!

I had takeout from here during the Persian pop up week. The ambiance is very romantic and lovely and the employees were very nice. I tried a few dishes. The food was explosive in flavors and absolutely fantastic. Thank you for being such a wonderful kosher destination!
