The 38 Best Restaurants in Bangkok, Thailand | Eater
"Run by descendants of Thailand’s most famous cartoonist and columnist, the late Prayoon Chanyavongs, Taling Pling serves time-honored Thai family recipes in a modern, colorful house. While the restaurant has a few other locations in Bangkok, local connoisseurs prefer the original for namprik rong reur (chile paste with salted egg), stir-fried dok kajorn with eggs, lemongrass salad with crispy fish, rice vermicelli with coconut milk, and custard apple ice cream." - Chawadee Nualkhair
The food was great, tasted on the sweeter side. Didn’t had the chance to snap all the things we ordered. The price is a bit too high for certain menu. My personal favorite was the ไก่ใบตอง
Service although not bad but one of the waiters was trying to make us order more and more although we ordered so much. He kept persisting we order more and tried to recommend this and that. When we did not order some of the menu he suggested he came and ask again. Like, we still did not order that. The same waiter approach us while we were eating asking if we want desserts. We were only half way done with our food. So we were quite annoyed by the hard selling.
There’s parking in front just make sure to bring the ticket to the restaurant.

Located in Baan Silom, we decided to have lunch here on our first day in Bangkok after arriving in the morning and doing a little exploring around our hotel. The menu is extensive and staff friendly but unfortunately, we felt that the quality of food was not great given the price which is also on the higher side.
Staff were friendly and fast but weren't very informed/aware of the menu when we had some questions.
We've seen this chain at other locations (e.g. Siam Paragon) as well but given our experience here, we wouldn't recommend.

One of my favorite places in Silom. Delicious thai food. Lovely staff. Quiet environement.
I went there more than 20 times in the past and will go back for sure.
I recommend the Pork Neck Garlick, the Mamasan Curry and the Egg Fried Rice.

The worst Thai food ever, tasteless, sweet, expensive, and the drink? I paid for a liter of Singha bear 380฿. plus plus…you can imagine pay 12€ for a local beer in a European restaurant?, try to avoid this scam, there are plenty food places out there.

Tastes so yummy 😋… good taste and varieties of dishes and some dishes are only available here and not commonly available in other restaurants… must try those ! Ask your thai local guide to recommend you 😊

Nice restaurant, friendly staff and nice food. The portions are rather small but the quality is very good!
Of course you will pay more as in a small street kitchen but you get a real restaurant in return. I asked for Thai spicy and had the feeling they were still adjusting for a “Farang”😁
Pricy but good food

Taling Pling Silom is located in the shopping/eating arcade “Baan Silom” on the busy Silom Road.
The restaurant offers plenty of original cooked Thai foods in various cooking styles.
They provide a big menu book which explains each item with the photographs and background of authentic Thai style cooking.
Atmospheres is great.
Taste of the food is absolutely nice and I have no issues with the quality of the food, however, they will charge 500 THB as a corkage fee for bringing own bottle in, so I had to order beers instead which is super expensive namely a small (320cc) beer costs 150 THB excluding 10% service charge and 7% VAT !!!! Crazy !!!! 😞😞😞
Whereas the food’s price is also high but still reasonable I think, except rice ; a dish of not so big portion of steamed rice costs 45 THB excluding service charge and vat.
The restaurant accepts credit cards.
Restroom is clean.
parking is available comfortably in the parking lot of the arcade with free of charge for the restaurant’s clients.
