Ranking The Absurd Amount Of Taquerias In Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"Talkin’ Tacos belongs at the bottom of the taco chain for reasons beyond the tacosphere. But let’s start with the fact that every tortilla is doused in flavorless birria. So no matter what you order, it will be wet and orange. If you get the shrimp tacos, expect a salt bomb. The al pastor is made with crumbly beef chunks and an oddly sweet flavor from the pickled onions. As for the vibe, it’s classically bizarre Wynwood. The host stands at the door like a Space bouncer, and the dining room is painted like a laser tag arena." - mariana trabanino

I loooove talking taco’s but this location is not it. The staff is amazing, especially considering they were working with no AC. Food was still delicious.

The food was very delicious. Love the art in the bathroom and all over the place. Service was good, vibe of the whole place is awesome. The guy in the video is the cook maybe even an owner. Five stars for the service and food. I ordered taco salad and churros 😋 Thanks

Yelp
Everybody's been to a bunch of taco places they're all very good. This particular place was absolutely amazing. Some of the best taco that had Mexico. Real simple place no late choice service your order from a kiosk and must've saved the money on the staff spent the money on the food because it is good really good

Yelp
I really missed the birria ramen and was so excited to try it again as it had been over a year. Well let's just say I was disappointed in it. While the portion size and the amount of birria provided was amazing hence why I have 3 stars, the seasoning was not what I remembered and the ramen was extremely soggy. Ugh I wish this was not my experience this time around

Yelp
Talkin' Tacos is located in the corner space once occupied by La Moon, adjacent to Blackbird Ordinary. We came here on a Saturday night and were not impressed. When we entered and asked for a table for 2, we were directed to the 2 self-serve touch screens in the corner to place our own food orders. The screens on those machines were smeared and had what appeared to be splotches of grease and/or dried bits of food on them. Several tables in the dining area hadn't been cleaned and cleanliness overall seemed to be lacking at this place. To top it off, the screens patrons use to place their own orders upon entering, request a gratuity. No way. Next time we'll walk a few blocks to Coyo Taco for a much better experience in many respects.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this location in a few years and I'm never in the Brickell area, so naturally I had to try it. There's a parking garage less than a block away so that's really convenient, since finding parking in this area is always a problem. The staff is very friendly. I couldn't remember if we ordered at the kiosk or when we sat down and she immediately helped us and welcomed us in the restaurant. You order the food at the kiosk and they bring it to your table. We got our food really quickly! We got two water bottles, birria tacos, bang bang shrimp tacos and elote corn. As good as the food was, it should not have been close to $50 for 6 tacos, elote and two pure life water bottles. Very pricey for what you get, but that's the price you pay when in Brickell. The place is spacious and clean, could use some more decorations, and the AC unit has droplets of water that kept falling on me. Not sure I'll come back to this location after the price we paid.

Yelp
One of my favorite taco spots. Al pastor is always my go to. The flavorful meat and veggies on these never miss! Brought my mom this time so she could experience it as well and she left very satisfied.

Yelp
After being out, my friends and I wanted to get some food. Talkin Tacos was next door was it was very convenient. I ordered chicken tacos and they did not disappoint! I'm glad I ordered three because I devoured all of them and they were so delicious. The only downside was that the wait time was pretty long despite being a to go order.

Yelp
When I'm in the area, I always find myself to come here. The food is really good. The queso dip oh my God is to die for. I can just eat that on his own. My boyfriend got the crunch wrap. He said it was good. I got the Mangonada. I've had better Honestly. Not pictured is the birria quesadilla. Honestly, they put a lot of cheese to where it's a little bit too much and the birria was a bit dry, but that is my go to because of the flavors.

Cristian V.

Yelp
The corn is amazing , birria tacos with no Cheese , I love how they stay open until 3 or 5 am I forgot but very late .

Yelp
Cool spot for a fun spin of birria and Mexican food. Service and Staff: - Order at the kiosk inside - They will come find you and say your name out loud (no number or anything given) Food: - Churos: comes with 4 and they're quite large - Cookies n Cream Cheesecake: they have different flavor cheesecakes, but had to go with this one. It was rich, creamy, and delicious - Quesabirria: quite a large dish as it's one giant quesadilla cut into four slices. Lots of cheese and birria. Comes with consome and chips Miscellaneous: - Indoor and outdoor seating available - Outdoor seating is quite loud because it's basically right under the train - There was a bad smell every couple minutes outside (like trash) - Very casual place

Yelp
Self-service spot with a good menu! I got the birria tacos and the horchata. I always say I'm not a taco fan, but it was really good. I finished it all! Prices were mid ranged since it doesn't come with a side or anything.
google avatar

Shane W.

Yelp
Good Birria tacos & horchata. Friendly staff. It's pricey, but hey, it's Miami. You order at a kiosk instead of with staff, but they bring you your food.

Yelp
I stopped by last night after a Yelp Elite event in the area & had a great visit! They have kiosks located inside where you place your order. The staff were friendly & extremely helpful throughout the visit--while ordering, delivering our food & providing accompaniments. The interior is vibrant with colorful murals & LED signs throughout. Their patio has a good amount of seating & is a great spot to people watch. I got the Taco Trio & chose all birria. While the flavor was great, I really wish the tortilla was fried, especially since they use corn ones which I'm not really a fan of. The beef was well seasoned but the consommé was too watery for my liking, despite having great flavor. The street corn was sooo good--creamy & flavorful with a slight kick to it. It paired really well with my taco. For dessert, I ordered a guava cheesecake which was to die for. Rich, creamy & infused well with guava. I did try the chicken achiote taco & that's definitely what I'd order if I were to go back. I had a sparkling water but they also have a variety of lemonades & Mexican sodas. Overall a great place but if you have a flour tortilla preference, keep in mind you'll be limited to quesadillas/burritos/etc.

Yelp
It's not good you guys. I think if you are drunk, I can see why you'll say it's great food. Ultimately, it's really bad Tex-Mex food that is overpriced. Firstly, I ordered a burrito and the rice was dry and not in a good way, I asked for no lettuce and it had it in there ( I ended up saying whatever) and Where is the meat? It looked like I got a teaspoon of it. The burrito was fried, which made it taste oily. I took the guts out because the taste of oil was overwhelming. It's a big NO for me.

Yelp
Order at the kiosk and then your meal will be delivered to you. Was in Miami for 25 hours and Talkin' Tacos was a block away from the hotel with good reviews so we gave it a try. Food was fair, mostly lacking in flavor and spices. My buddy ordered al pastor Tacos but didn't realize that it wasn't pork but beef. I had a chicken burrito. It wasn't bad but seriously lacked flavor. It was just bland.we also had Guacamole and chips. Again the Guacamole lacked flavor and spices. Prices were sort of high in my opinion, but I don't know what Miami charges for dinners at fast casual type restaurants. We sat on the patio and people watched. That was fantastic and entertaining. Friday night on the streets of Miami felt a little bit like watching Miami vice. I won't be back the next time I am in Miami. It might be my living in Southern California alalmost all my life, but I get much better Tacos at a significantly lower price often at home.

Yelp
They had great service and the food was amazing. Try the quesabirrilla. Joseph was an attentive guy as well.

Yelp
Easy kiosk ordering, fast service, and tasty tacos in a centrally located casual spot with fun blacklight walls. I tried the birria, caribbean, and mahi mahi tacos with a side of guacamole and an horchata to wash it down. I enjoyed all of them but I think the Mahi Mahi was my fav, they did a nice job frying the fish in a way that didn't overpower the taco with a heavy batter and melded well with the toppings. All of the tacos had a lot of flavor and the guac was freshly made (and there was a lot of it). Two comments: Things rack up quickly, this was a $35 meal. And I chose fattier tacos so I felt a bit heavy and needed a nap later. Would return to try more tasty tacos when I'm back in Miami.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Good place for a late night snack. Automated order screen can speed up the line as long as the customers are "coherent". Be aware the rest room wasn't available past 2am.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
This is the first time I couldn't even finish three tacos. And that's saying something--once upon a time, I devoured 18 authentic tacos in a single sitting. But today? My stomach was wrecked. Let's start with the one redeeming quality: the meat was flavorful. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The tacos were absolutely drenched in sauce--so much so that I wouldn't be surprised if each one packed 1,000 calories in mayo alone. Both the steak and chicken tacos were unbearably heavy, making them impossible to finish. And the elote? It tasted like someone squeezed an entire tube of mayo onto it. To make matters worse, the tortillas were cold, greasy, and limp, completely ruining what could have been a great bite. It's a shame--such tasty meat deserved far better treatment. In conclusion there was no atmosphere since you order with a computer and no one to help when you need your stomach pumped.
google avatar

Journey M.

Yelp
It would have been a five star experience except that my tacos were cold. Like you know you served me cold tacos!! Why????? Nothing worse than eating cold tacos. I thought about complaining, but seriously why??? What would have been the point....

Yelp
We were in Miami prior to a cruise and decided to try this place. We had to pay for parking in the garage nearby and then walked over to the restaurant. It's on a busy corner. When we arrived, there were not many there. We were instructed to order on the machine and then find a seat. We sat and then waited on our food. It didn't take too long before our food started to arrive when done. We had ramen, nachos, taco salad, and burrito. Everyone enjoyed their food. We also got the queso with hot cheetos (i think that's what it was). By the time we left, it was full of folks eating inside & out. Inside is kinda dark, but unique decor. Good eats.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the chicken tacos and birria tacos and it was very good I liked how you could just order your food at a kiosk and then sit and wait for them to bring it to you. The tacos were tasty and the service from the staff was extremely friendly, the staff stood near the kiosk while we ordered to help us manage through our orders if we didn't understand how to put a order in or if we needed guidance on the menu. The space has plenty of seating inside and outside so you have plenty of options and the ambiance is super open and colorful and fun looking definitely a vibe for groups or to come by yourself.
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
Carne asada tacos were fantastic, the street corn was a bit too cheesy flavor for me. I doordashed so I cant speak to the service or ambience.
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while bar hoping. It was the perfect little taco spot to grab some food quick! You get to self order at the kiosk when you walk inside. Which is nice when you are with a group and everyone pays separately. There was indoor and outdoor seating available. The decor inside was so cute. The tacos, and their fries were amazing. Hopefully next time I'm in Miami I can't stop by again.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic place to go have a bite after a night hours. Taking Covid into account - I really appreciate the late night hours. And I love that they have birria! Delicious. I'd come back.

Shaina F.

Yelp
Fast service, mid food. I got birria nachos the portion was decent but it wasn't in love with the food itself
google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
Fiancé and I came here after doing some shopping at Brickell City Center. It's located on a busy corner with a few tables inside and outdoors on the patio. You order from a kiosk and the food is delivered to the table. My fiancé ordered the burrito with carne asada. The burrito was flavorful, the steak wasn't over cooked and hearty portion. It was plenty for him even after I had a few bites. I had the Mystic Lemonade and he had a Blur Lemonade. My Mystic Lemonade was superrr sweet, way too sweet for me. His Blue Lemonade was also sweet, but slightly less than my drink. Prices are moderate/pricey ($34 including tip) for 1 burrito and 2 drinks, BUT the prices are on par with the area. Brickell in general is a pricey area so it was expected. Decent food, variety of lemonades and outdoor seating. May be back if in the area.

Yelp
I visited on August 9,2024. When you arrive you place your order in the kiosk, grab a number and take a seat wherever you like. The host does come around to make sure you are doing well. The food was delicious but I do wish I paid attention when I ordered to have the onions removed but I just picked them out.
google avatar

Melanie L.

Yelp
Great tacos!! Delicious and filling, but much more pricey than any other taco place. The burritos and birria tacos were good. I also ordered chips with pico and that alone was around $9. All 3 items were about $50. The service took very long and it was 1 AM. The women's bathroom also had no paper towels or toilet paper, did NOT lock, and was kind of dirty. I wish water was included with the meals, water bottles are $2.50. If I'm in there area again I would come back, but just hope for better service
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Tacos were ok but decent for a late night bite. You order at the kiosk and they bring it out to you. They had a good variety of tacos and burritos and bowls and the portions were good for the price as well. Just not the best quality tacos overall.
google avatar

Izabella B.

Yelp
This place is 10/10!!! Ordered 4 tacos, all different flavors, each and every amazing and we got a mahi mahi burrito as well. I am in love with this spot, highly recommend! Delivery was fast, food was delicious... what are you waiting, go order some or try them at their location!

Charie G.

Yelp
If I could give them 0 stars I would. It took an hour and a half to get my food and once it came it was cold and disappointing. These were the "loaded nachos" you can get better from anywhere else
google avatar

Shandise S.

Yelp
Great spot for a late-night bite! Ordered at the kiosk, food came fast, and the staff was kind. The salsa was fire, and the warm queso birria hit the spot after a long flight. Perfect spice level on the hot salsa.

Yelp
I've been to the wynwood one and the only issue was parking so went to this one since I was nearby. It was a mistake. The location is good. There's plenty of parking available either in the street or garages. Lots of shopping and other things to do. Ordering is similar to the wynwood location. You use a kiosk and specify what you want etc then sit and wait. This is when the issues came. I had two orders with some removals. One Cali burrito and the other I think was just a regular burrito. The Cali was without rice and the other was without takis and cheese. Both orders came in wrong as the Cali had rice and the other had cheese. I wouldn't think too much about it but when we complained about it, one of the workers was adamant (after we no longer had the orders, since we turned them in for replacement) that neither burrito had the things we asked to remove. I wish I took a picture of the wrong order cause 1) the cheese and rice in both burritos are very obvious and noticeable and 2) the color difference alone in the wrong order and replacements tells you that we basically got completely different orders. They also forgot to give us our drinks which we had to ask for but that's just a side note, don't really care about that. The food was great when the order was right but it was just weird how wrong the orders were and how we were told we were wrong that the orders were wrong. Just FYI they weren't rude when trying to convince us that we were wrong, it was just weird. I recommend the wynwood location in lieu. The parking is a bit more painful but the experience is much better.

Yelp
We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was absolutely amazing! The standout items were the Southwest Chicken Tacos and the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos--both were outstanding. I couldn't stop eating them! They were perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and just incredibly satisfying. Living in San Diego, I've had my fair share of tacos from all over, but these definitely make it into my top three. If I could, I'd come back to Miami just to eat at Talkin' Tacos again. A must-visit for any taco lover! Sorry, don't have any photos of tacos as I was busy eating them!

Jenny R.

Yelp
We came here for the first time and it took literally and hour just to get our food. It looked nice but service is way too slow. We ordered and payed cash and the guy that charged didn't put our order in. I had to ask one guy that was cleaning tables and all he said was he would check and never got back to us. I got up and asked the lady that was taking out the orders and she was super nice even gave us a free drink and had the cook make our food fast due to the guy forgetting. Even to give the drinks it took forever. Food was super good but the service was horrible.
google avatar

Brandi K.

Yelp
This restaurant was around the corner from our hotel, the reviews looked amazing, and the menu sounded wonderful. There was one other table of people when we arrived. You walk inside, order from a kiosk, get a number, and then seat yourself and your food is delivered when ready. We ordered the birria pizza, birria quesadillas and the pumpkin spice horchata. The food arrived quickly. We both very much disliked the horchata - it tasted like lukewarm milk. The birria pizza was severely undercooked and uncut. My hubby had to take it back inside to ask for it to be cut, but it was unfortunately inedible. The quesadillas were pretty good. They had beans and plantain inside. The guacamole would have been the best part had the avocado actually been mashed. The whole thing was a massive letdown, unfortunately. It seems others have had much better experiences, so we must have been here on an off night.

Yelp
This place is on a busy corner in Brickell. The interior is dark and dimly lit. When you walk in the host tells you to use the self kiosk to order your food and sit where you like. I'm not sure why the host is even there. I ordered the guacamole dip and chips and the birria tacos. When the food arrived I tried the guacamole first and it was quite good and fresh. The birria tacos though were lacking the flavor I expect from birria tacos. I would consider them quite plain with a mild consomé. I tried all three hot sauces, the jalapeño was nice with a little vinegar flavor, the habanero and cayenne were decent but not great. Overall I'd say it was way overpriced for tacos that were just plain.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
The place was stunning, with an amazing vibe, and the staff was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the ordering process using the machine. They were quite efficient, delivering our food promptly. I tried the birria ramen, that I saw on an Instagram post, and it was delightful! My friend had the quesadillas, which were also fantastic. I highly recommend this place; moreover, there's a club next door, so you can continue your evening there!"
google avatar

Kristen A.

Yelp
The food was great! The service was quick and everyone was polite. The place is well-lit and loud/quiet depending on the crown and there are nice paintings on the wall.
google avatar

Anthony K.

Yelp
I wasn't impressed. You order through a little kiosk. And then it's brought out. They have interesting menu suggested items, however, nothing really stood out. Food was great. Service was OK. If you wanted some type of sauce on your tacos, or whatever, you get two choices.

Tamara V.

Yelp
Food is good, service is trash! They took 2 hours to get my food... unfortunately waiting so long for food makes it impossible to enjoy the ambiance and food. They shouldn't take so long to make some tacos although is busy. SMH
google avatar

Ricardo B.

Yelp
This particular location can be tricky as it has no parking but it is in a fantastic corner, right before Brickell City Centre. As you walk in, you will notice that the walls are black with lots of Mexican style graffiti and Instagram selfie moments. Then you will notice the two standalone kiosks where you place your order. Then you can select inside or outside seating and wait for your order to come out. Everything was pretty good. From the horchata to the street corn and the Queso Birria! The Birria Grill Cheese sandwich comes with a little tomato soup on the side. I will definitely be back to this location since my office is in downtown miami. However will try the Miramar location since that's closer to home.

Jason A.

Yelp
I ordered food using their website. not a food delivery service. I ordered for a friends birthday and we never got our food. Calling back they said it was a mistake and they would cancel the order since it had been so long. But they never canceled it. So i was charged $50 for food i never got and still had to buy dinner that night an hour and half later that expected. all because they cant handle their ordering service or website.
google avatar

Dom H.

Yelp
This place is a 5 Star or at the least 4 Star food spot! Everything was bomb and the service was good. We has 6 different tacos and none of them dissapointed. Even my carne asada burrito was fire. The only knock I can imagine against this place is the price of the tacos. Tacos are like $5 each but they load them up!
google avatar

Adina H.

Yelp
Came here around 4am after the club. It only took about 10 minutes to receive my order & they were very busy. I ordered the birria quesadilla with fries instead of chips. I've found that the consome usually is what makes the dish when I've tried quesabirria at other places & it's kind of nasty without it lol. This was good all by itself, but the consome did complement it well. I fell asleep & woke up eating it. It was a big portion & it tasted as good the next morning as it did the night before. I'm from North Carolina & I could only wish of having a spot like this here. I've thought about the quesadilla so many times lol it was that good!
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
Great food. Nice patio. There were a lot of patrons but the service was quick. Everyone in our party was pleased. We ate there twice during our stay in Miami!
google avatar

Samantha M.

Yelp
Was in the area and stopped by for a quick bite after hearing this name go around for a while. We walked in and noticed the iPads. There was no human interaction throughout the entire ordering process and still the iPad prompted for a tip at the end. There's a bit of an epidemic of iPad ordering systems and tipping going around Miami. I tip the actual food runner than the iPad so it goes to directly benefit them. We placed an order for their birria tacos and waited about 15-20 mins for them to come out. We were very underwhelmed by the presentation and overall taste of the food. The tacos were bland and just felt like they were missing something. $15 for 3 tacos is very steep especially when they're mediocre at best. A line began to form as we ate and it flowed through almost the back of the restaurant. Nobody wants a line of people inches away from them while they eat. I think the layout is a poor use of the space and they can definitely figure out how to seat more people and have the restaurant flow more efficiently. There are many other great local taco shops and restaurants to spend your money at.
google avatar

Dolores D.

Yelp
Not the best place for birria tacos. You need to order at a computer and they bring you food to you. They have a patio outside. Got 3 birria tacos and birria ramen. Also got nachos. They were okay.
google avatar

Joshua C.

Yelp
Talkin' Tacos is closely located to Brickell City Centre mall. It is a fast casual restaurant. When you walk in you will place your order and pay on an iPad. Loved the theming inside. Lots of black lights to make the neon decorations glow. I ordered the Birria burrito which came with chips. After adding a Mexican coke it came out to $20. The food was good, however I wish it came with queso or salsa. Overall a pretty good meal, but can add up quickly depending on what all you order.
