The city’s longest-running farmers market operates every Saturday morning with local farms, breads, and pastured meats. The official site confirms year-round 8 a.m.–noon hours at the Kerry Forest location — a dependable, low-key way to taste the region.

Excellent farmers only market great products and large crowds. Mushroom stand was spectacular and Good Ground Farm vegetable stand was the busiest.

We love coming to the farmer's market on Saturdays. Lots of great produce, meat, flowers, and other locally sourced products available to the community. Vendors are always kind and helpful, especially to our little ones!

Tip: Bring Cash!!! This farmers market is really cute! There was about 16 or so booths. The booths sold vegetables, honey, meats, olives and soaps. I really like how this farmers market has a larger variety of vegetables than the one in downtown by the capital. This has tomatoes, greens, potatoes, beets, onions, ginger, and so much more. There wasn’t a large variety of fruits here but I’m sure that goes with the seasons. This farmers market was more about produce than it was small trinkets, and gifts. It was dog friendly and I saw three or four dogs. As for parking, you have to park in the shopping plaza behind the market and walk through the pass-through with bushes to get to the booths. So when you pull in you drive past the market take a left into the shopping plaza where red elephant is an park anywhere. Some prices I paid was $1.40 for a 4 inch piece of ginger. Three dollars for a basket of cherry tomatoes. Three dollars for a basket of red potatoes. And three dollars for a basket of jalapeños.

Overall amazing market. It’s small and concise. Great selection of meat and produce. Charming other food products also. So glad we have this in Tallahassee.

Google
Lots of delicious fruits and veggies and baked goods. The fresh figs and green eggs you know didn't come from the grocery store but the plums (with the stickers still on) did. I'll be more careful next time with my daughter and ask, I literally only want local foods when I go. There was an old farmer there that taught me how to properly store my fresh garlic too! All in all it was lovely, 15-20 vendor booths gave us plenty of options to choose from.

Fantastic bread, amazing produce, and the pickle guy got me so right with the bread and butter squash and the best pickled red onions I’ve ever had

Pretty good event for Tallahassee! I wish it had more vendors and ready made food. The mushroom stand is outstanding!

Lord have mercy this is wonderful 🙏 🙌 ❤️. I don't know if I've ever seen higher quality fresh produce in my life. And for cheap. Also expect to find quality coffee, meats, tea, craft options from courteous and helpful people. I highly recommend that you give it a visit.

Yelp
Get there early if you want choices. We came around 9:30 am and most of vendors were almost sold out. There is a great variety of fresh fruits, veggies, baked goods, dairy and fresh meats. They do take credit cards, but cash is preferred. Don't forget bug spray, mosquito are on a hunt as well....lol.

Yelp
I have been to this farmers market for a few years now and I'm very disappointed in the available options for those with SNAP benefits. There's only one person who offers it. And because we do not get any announcements of who will be coming on Saturdays it's really an inconvenience to travel so far and not have options for fresh produce that cater to those on financial hardships.

Yelp
They have a wide selection of different products you can choose from. Locally grown food.

Yelp
I enjoy stopping in here most Saturday mornings. Great selection of local organic fruits and vegetables. I also buy honey and kombucha here occasionally. Super friendly folks here selling their goods. Bring a cloth bag so you won't have to use plastic bags.

Yelp
Although there are only a handful of vendors and much of the produce runs extremely low just a few short hours after opening, I give this four stars because I appreciate fresh produce from local farms. I wish there were more vendors and I wish they brought more products but nonetheless I think it's worth a visit just to support our local community. I love that there are options that aren't in our local grocery stores...or aren't readily available...or are overpriced. I found some great figs! Yes figs! There are items from peeled garlic to squash, tomatoes, blackberries, peaches, watermelon, cantaloupe, okra, white acre peas, potatoes, honey, home made sugar cane syrup, boiled peanuts, non-GMO grits, freshly cut meats etc. I overheard some of the vendors saying they take checks, of course cash is accepted as well as EBT. I definitely can't do an entire grocery shop but you can find some great finds. The farmer's market opens at 8am and its best to get there before 10. I arrived shortly after 11 and some items were already sold out. Parking is free and much of the area is shaded.

Yelp
Organic greens bursting with freshness, luscious red sweet strawberries and guavas that bring back fun childhood memories of climbing guava trees, having delightful conversations with local farmers, this is how one should spend their Saturday morning! I did well- bought non-GMO grits, bright orange carrots, lively yellow guavas, and mixed micro salad greens. To top it all, I got a recipe for smoked Gouda grits from the farmer who owns Bumpy Road Farms where I bought my grits. They're made from heirloom corn and I can't wait to cook it! For less than $15, I can make a hearty salad and a scrumptious bowl (or three) of grits for dinner. I just need to buy some smoked Gouda and shrimp and I'm all set for a fresh, home-cooked meal for two or more, tonight! Ps- parking is great and there are several other worthy local shops in the Market Square area where the Saturday market is located. Open every Saturday-as early as 8:30 and sometimes a few of the farmers stay until 2:30pm!

Yelp
The market is located in the center of the development in the big outdoor pavilion. It is a perfect place for a bustling festival/market and the market is very well situated there. Thanks to the location there is plenty of surface parking around the plaza. Today there were about 5 different vendors including two with cheese samples and one with meat options. Since it's a year-round market, I'll definitely be back closer to the summer season since it starts at 9am every Saturday so gives me plenty of time to get over there. It is a little bit out of town but well worth the drive to support local food.

Yelp
Probably the best farmer's market available in Tallahassee, FL. Doesn't compare the one in Winter Park, FL but then again - it's not as old, and it's not Orlando. Always expect fresh produce, rain or shine. Saturday is the best day to go, but Tuesday and Thursday there are 2-3 vendors out there selling tomatoes, peaches, cukes, sweet potatoes, beans - whatever is in season. Saturday, especially on a nice day, expect to see "the lettuce man" - guy comes during the spring and winter to sell "better than organic" lettuces from Havana. His lettuce truly is incredible. Buy for dinner that night! "The Mushroom Man" - sells oyster mushrooms while they're in season, sells other wild varieties that he cultivates throughout the year. Sweetgrass Dairy products - a representative from the farm is usually there to sell cheese, yogurt, and beef. Selections vary. "the guy with the weird veggies" There's this cute old man that sells the strangest looking fruits and vegetables. Apparently they are Asian/Indonesian in origin, and the local Asian market always buys from him because you can't find some of those vegetables anywhere else fresh in Tallahassee. Most memorable was the loofah sponge that he grew one time. Finally, there's a little farm that sells honey and herbs and the occasional tomatoes, lettuce, garlic, and shallots. There are several other farmers, but those were just a few of the memorable and quirky ones. Some farmers can accept coupons: WIC/FMNP and Elder/FMNP coupons.

Yelp
This farmers market is located in the same shopping complex as kitcho, loft pursuits, the seafood market, etc. across thomasville rd from trader joes basically. It is most popular and busy saturday morning from 8-3ish it seems. Plenty of parking for free, its in the covered overhead shady open area in the middle of this shopping complex which is nice in the hot florida summer weather. There are about 2 handful of vendors/sellers. Oh, and they all give plastic shopping bags so if you forget your reusable bag at home don't worry. Majority of them sell the same seasonal fruits and vegetables all around the same price (ex: almost everyone was selling vidalia onion for $1 and garlic for $2). Im not sure if everything at this market was organic and local though because they said one kind of peaches they had were from georgia. They have some local and organic stuff for sure though from one of the local farms. They also had some local cheese, soap, honey, etc. which was nice to see something local and unique/made coming to the farmers market worth it. I think the main thing I liked it that like all farmers market, everything is cheap and just as good quality as in the grocery store and sometimes in even larger quantity (ex: 4-5 sweet potatoes were around $2.50 at one stall). Overall, this is how I see it for me: Pros: 1. Cheap, good quality, sometimes large quantity to. 2. Some unique local stuff like honey, cheese, etc. 3. Small so you can shop and be done in 15-20 minutes. 4. The farmers/vendor sellers are really nice and helpful. 5. It is pet friendly (we saw a couple of cute dogs sat. morning ^-^) Cons: 1. Far drive for me (30 minutes just to buy veggies and fruits) 2. Not a lot of variety or unique fruits and veggies (everyone sells the same things). 3. Wish there were more unique items - you go to the farmers market to buy and try stuff that you can't find at the supermarket but they didn't have anything that you can't buy at the grocery store or local farm at your own convenient time. 4. Why was there like only one stall selling hot food? Usually there are a lot of stalls selling something you can get for a quick lunch or snack but there was only one stall selling some type of cooked meat but I was looking for something more light :( 5. Im use to the bigger farmers markets in Miami so this one can be kind of boring compared to the large variety and unique items you find in coconut grove and pine crest farmers markets. I wish Tallahassee could have a bigger farmers market. 6. Im pretty sure not everything is organic/local which is sad because the one reason people go to farmers markets is to buy local organic items (but I could be wrong which is why I put this last- I will double check next time I go). Reason why I don't think this is because I bought a few items with stickers saying "product of mexico". lol. 7. INSPECT THE FOOD YOU BUY CAREFULLY, I JUST OPENED ONE OF THE SWEET POTATOES I BOUGHT AND FOUND 2 WORMS IN IT (EW!) It is a decent farmers market considering its in tallahassee and i don't expect much from anything in tallahassee but its good enough where I would go back occasionally, but not regularly. Its not at a convenient time, location, and not enough reasons (like having something I can get only at the farmers market and no other time) for me to go all the time. The only reasons I truly like it is because its cheap but idk if its cheap enough including gas money where I really save that much money a week on fruits and veggies and to go out of my way every saturday morning. For others though that are usually up saturday morning, live in the killearn area, or don't mind driving across town if you live on the college side like I do, def check this place out. Its worth the drive at least once.

Yelp
I love the selection this place offers of quality local produce. I learn so much about different fruits and veggies and how to prepare them from the vendors! They remember me and we chat while I shop. The only downside is I e shown up a few times around the holidays and it was hit or miss - some vendors don't come for quite a few weeks. I've heard that's pretty regular though so I'll just have to learn the schedule.

Yelp
You can expect a real fresh produce and very caring farmers.
