Visited with my wife when in Newport a couple months ago. We enjoyed everything from the fresh bread and herbed butter to dessert. Every dish was better than we could have expected. I did the wine pairing and truly enjoyed each selection. My wife is still talking about the scallop appetizer. We are moving to Texas soon and are determined to make our way back as soon as possible. It was really the best or second best restaurant experience either of us have ever had. Is it a little pricy, yes. Was it worth it for an extraordinary experience? For us, absolutely.

Had such a fantastic experience tonight at Tallulah, the 5 course menu was just right, but my favorite part aside from the food, was having Chef come out to the table to speak with us at the end of our meal. It was such a great touch to the evening, and he was such a pleasant person to speak with. I'm sure he does it for everyone, but it's just one of those extra things that not every one does for their guests, and it creates this personal tie to the meal you just had, while getting to know the heart and soul behind it all, if only for a few minutes! The FOH staff was great, the way they worked together was so smooth , and I think a prix fixe menu helps to create an experience for the diner that doesn't feel rushed and creates an ambiance of relaxation and just letting the dishes come to you. You won't be disappointed that you didn't get to choose what you are having, it is all perfectly executed. If you get the wine pairing addition to the menu, you really have zero decisions to make , and you can just enjoy the company you came with while the delicious food keeps coming. It was a perfect evening, I was so happy to finally make it in with my husband !

It gets me with the one/two star rating. Every detail is thought out and each dish meshes well as a whole vision. Presentation is phenomenal and the flavors are wonderful. Of all the places we've eaten in Newport this is hands down my favorite, and the only place my dining experience took me somewhere. Will return every opportunity I have to visit.

You know when you spend at least half of your meal talking about how good the meal is and why it's so good, that it's a really really good meal. We are always in search of places to enjoy such an experience; we enjoy food of many kinds, casual and upscale, but since our expectations are usually pretty high, we only find these truly exceptional meals about once every 3 years or so. So Tallulah. Whatever I write is not really going to do it justice. I have had not one but two encounters here with the rare, elusive exceptional meal. Exciting, local ingredients, prepared and presented with great creativity. Service that is exactly right for me - knowledge and professionalism balanced with a friendly and relaxed warmth. An upscale experience - and yet you will also get what you really want - to say "mmmmm" many many times. And we're still talking about it...

One of the best meals of our life and we are legit foodies. 5 courses turned into 10 when "course size" amuses and extra courses were included, every one sublime.

One of the worst Dinners i have ever had in Newport way over priced for such small amount of food and very slow service
