Yelp
Tucked away in Potomac Village Shopping Center on Falls Rd near the Walgreens, Tally-Ho is a stand-alone hidden gem for casual eats. The owner and his wife, Pete and Youlla, are two of the nicest people I've ever met, and they treat their customers very well. Youlla or the staff constantly check on tables and will quickly sort out a problem if a customer is not satisfied. The food is heavily Greek-influenced, as the owners are Greek. The Greek food, when it's cooked by the owners, is usually very authentic and delicious for the most part. They also have a tasty pizza menu. The inside of the restaurant is very casual and small. It's definitely more suited for take-out, but that does not compromise the quality of the food! My favorite items on their extensive menu are the Greek pizza with generous amounts of gyro, feta, bell peppers, tomatoes and onion, as well as the Santorini pizza with sautéed mushrooms, spinach, a combination of mozzarella and feta (no red sauce or meat). Their gyros are very good and are served in decently sized portions, and their stuffed grape leaves are made the correct way with the right amount of spices and filling, as I would expect from a Greek-owned restaurant! My boyfriend loves the pizza, as well as the chicken souvlaki platter. I would recommend you try the Greek entrees or pizza versus the other things they offer, since their Greek dishes and pizza selections have the best flavor on the menu. They also serve breakfast all day which is great and the breakfast items are your typical diner-style breakfast menu items. The prices are in line with the 20854 "inflated zip code tax" due to the area it's in, so I can't criticize the prices--they are fair for Potomac. Definitely a great place to stop by and order takeout breakfast or lunch after a hike on the canal or take-out for a really casual, relaxed dinner!
