Excellent Breakfast 😋 i had veggie omelette w/home style potatoes with wheat toast my guest had the chicken wings, grits and wheat toast every thing was delicious 😋🤤 our waitress was polite and quick to service us... Our order was out in 10 min. Food was served Hot and flavorful seasoned to perfection!!! The Atmosphere was pleasant, inviting and welcoming 🎉🎉🎉Down home feeling will definitely be back , they serve lunch and dinner items wheelchair accessible, parking on the street. The food was so delicious hardly got any pictures 🤤

This place is a real hidden gem! They’ve been here since 1940. If you are looking for a high end, snooty spot, this is NOT it. This place transports you back in time where everything is cooked to order with love and attention. We lucked out this trip and caught it when it was pretty empty (filled up right after we were seated though). The food was wonderful! Sorry, I would’ve taken more pictures, but got caught up in eating! I got a side of wings added to my meal because they are just that good! No pomp and circumstance here, just good ole food with a flare of the past.

I absolutely hate coming to tals! I hate the way black women treat other black women. I’ve been coming to Tals since i was like 8! It’s always a terrible experience. I took a 6 yeah break after i went in with my mom and didn’t get sat for over an hour, when Hispanic ppl came in after us they immediately got sat. I have yall 6 years to improve. I came back today nobody is acknowledging me or greeting me as usual. The black woken behind left my food on the counter for like 20 mins. I had to tell a gentleman to plz get there attention. He’s a regular so they are attending to him quickly! Please do better bro. This is getting sad af foreal

One of the best homecooked style meals I've had in a while besides my own. Very warm, home style environment. Dope staff, awesome customers who come regularly. Some of the best orange juice, lemonade and catfish. I love it.

Mom and pops restaurant but be prepared to wait a hour and thirty minutes just for your food smh

Waited over an hour for our food due the waitress gave our order to another table!!! ……………….Therefore we had to wait longer for our order!l to be remade. Poor service but we didn’t have to pay for our food.

...jus 2 let u knopleaz bring back the pancakes that ur famously known for...dem orange lookn (secret recipe ) arenot it let dem remain a secret somewhere else.. don't allow new ‍chefs change what ur famous for...real talk bring back original pancake...pleaz we good on everything else including servers 4stars only not 5*bcuz over saturated orange...

Tal's Cafe is now under new management, and they are working hard to ensure the quality of the food reflects a return to the restaurant's glory days in the 1980s when I first discovered it. Unfortunately, the food is a hit and miss. A few weeks ago the food was good. However, today the burger patty was burnt, and the wings were fried in old grease that caused my relative to have diarrhea. Parking can be a challenge, especially on street-sweeping days. I would also suggest that they encourage customers not to linger outside the restaurant to smoke weed.

Down home cooking, service with love and cozy atmosphere. I was introduced to Tals on my birthday and I have told my family and friends about it.

This hidden gem is a amazing! I love the service, hot fresh food, it's seasoned to perfection! The customer service is warm and great! The inside is homely and clean. I'm so glad I gave this place another chance.

I just had breakfast here. We usually order for pick-up. The food is made from scratch, and you can really taste the difference. The waffles & pancakes are delicious, and the eggs are yummy. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere has a relaxed, chill vibe. Highly Recommend!

Haven't been here in over a decade but we heard they had Black owners now (Koreans made their money and scrammed), so today was our day! Unique was our server and she was a class act. Food took a minute to come out but we were in no hurry. It's worth the wait, right? Well....the good news is the salmon croquettes were very good. The scrambled eggs were what you would expect. Hard to mess those up. The meat and the pancakes made us lose faith though. You have to read Nikia's review on here about that. She nailed it. They need to up their game on breakfast sausage and LOSE THE ORANGE PANCAKES.

The food was amazing!!!! This will be my new breakfast spot. I called my order in, the service was fast and ready when I arrived.

Damn that was good! My first time here and I had : porkchops, grits, scrambled eggs with cheese and English muffins . Big sized servings for a man with a big appetite. The porkchops were so good that you could eat them straight out the pan without adding any additional condiments..... but I did dribble a little Red Rooster hot sauce( a tradition with me) . The eggs with cheese were perfectly scrambled. Fanfriggintastic' breakfast. Next time I'll try either the fried catfish or snapper. One more thing: patrons rave about the hotcakes here...and by the looks of them I see why.

Great food , prices have changed significantly though however it's blacked owned , it's friendly and food is fresh .

Waitress was really nice. Service is really slow though. Took an hour for food to come out. Food was okay. I understand everything is made from scratch and is fresh but how long does it take to make some eggs and hash browns. I know places are busy but still crazy that it can take an hour.

If you're looking for good ol home cooking, then look no further than Tals. It's been a neighborhood staple for years and is still going strong. Food is just like your grandma use to make. It's authentic, seasoned well and delicious, with excellent prices. Breakfast on a budget lol. It's a small place located on the corner right of 3rd ave and Florence in Los Angeles. There's plenty of street parking. No reservations taken as it is a first come, first serve basis. The place is small with diner like bar seating and table seating inside only. The service is good and the food is delicious. There may be a wait depending on the time of day you go. The food may take longer than expected to come out because it's cooked to order so it's hot and fresh. A must try if you haven't already.

I ordered to go and got home to burnt over salted chicken and the potatoes tasted burnt as well. I made a call to complain and honestly the young lady on the phone offered that I come back and they remake it. I passed as it would be cooked in the same oil and from the looks of my food the oil needs to be changed. I have sat in there a few times for breakfast without any issues. My suggestion is check your food before you leave the restaurant

The vibes in here are superior! This spot is an Inglewood classic spot. All black interior and tons of old school r&b music videos bumping. My dad brought me here for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The server was amazing and super sweet. The only critique would be how long it took for someone to help us, so if you're impatient or in a rush this isn't the place for you. I had the fried catfish, cheesy eggs, grits and toast and almost cried because it was so good. The IE doesn't have a lot of breakfast spots that nail the catfish so I was grateful OKAY

The chicken was fried entirely TOO HARD in that old grease. Totally disgusting. Then there are two sisters with horrible attitudes and customer service! Then the "chef" comes out the kitchen asking how's everything. I just looked at him, while regretting my decision to eat there, as opposed to Flavor Table!! I LOVE TALS!!!!! Me & my boyfriend go there all the time. The sweet potato pancakes & waffles are amazingggggg. This place makes me feel like I'm back home in New Orleans cause of how nice the servers are & how good the food is. This is my favorite brunch spot. Amber is the most amazing server I've ever had. If I could give 10 stars I would!!! The prices aren't bad at all & you get so much for your money. The music & the vibe is 10/10 This place is a GEM

Cooks rude af. Asked for hashbrown guy literally didn't believe me wanted me to open my take out just to c he put double hashbrown on 1 order very very rude customer service horrible never will come back

I wasn't gonna post on here but this is straight trash! I ordered salmon croquettes (which were dry as hell) unseasoned eggs, house potatoes which was not fully cooked, rice and toast. Never again. Had to give it a star just to post.

The staff was friendly but the service was slow and my food was so so my chicken wings were cooked pretty hard my potatoes were not undercooked but my grits were yummy

So I just started going back since I found out they have a new owner, who is a young Black Man ...The food has always been great but the service from Jordann is the best. I only go when she's there. This has become my weekend breakfast spot. The music is a vibe, so I can't wait to see the upgrades he's hopefully gonna do to the place.

I came here on a week day with my family and we loved this spot! It was not too crowded and there was plenty of parking near the restaurant. The staff was very nice and we loved our food. This is the place to go for a small town diner feel. I will definitely be returning soon!

This is a gem. Such a gem that I kinda don't want to tell y'all about it. Whenever I'm up for a southern style breakfast that reminds me of my grandmothers house, I come here. Chicken wings, catfish, red snapper, grits, whatever you want, they got it. It's a small cafe, they have a bar top and a few seats, nothing crazy. This is a local spot. Food is always delicious! Eggs nice and fluffy, smothered potatoes just like my dad made me and a kid. Service is usually quick. This is one of those local joints you probably pass by all the time and never check it, we'll I'm here to tell you. You're missing out buddy

Bomb!!Food used to be great with that old time home cooked taste. Last time I was there I just had to have those pancakes!! Service is up to par and the ambiance is great as always. Glad they have a new Cook with a new twist! Sorry no pictures most definitely will have them next time!

Let me start off by saying you feel welcomed as soon as you open the door. The servers are so polite. The food was delicious, albeit a bit greasy, which threw me off because I opted for a veggie omelette for health purposes but backfired. The place had about three televisions to keep you entertained while you wait for your food and/or drown out background noise.

They say when you know better you do better so I would ask the waitress to check on you. After she sit your plate down. I would ask to cook use some milk and salt in the grits.and do not overcook the party wings that should've been chicken wings and I don't know what to say about the Waffle help

Good was super delicious, staff is friendly and the price was right keep it up ya'll! Will definitely recommend it and I'd come back for more.

I moved in and out of the area a few times but jnever noticed this place, not once. My fiancé's family recommended it and we were not disappointed. It's definitely a tucked away small family style restaurant with friendly service. I was forced to order Al La Carte because meatless combination options wasn't offered. I expect that from most places, so it wasn't a big deal to me. I ordered Pancakes, eggs, and breakfast potatoes. We had good portion sized meals/items that came out quickly. My guy ordered cat fish, cheese potatoes with eggs and a side of grits. He wasn't a fan of the grits as they were too runny for his liking. We enjoyed our time there and look forward to our next visit.

Been going to this place for probably 30 plus years since I was a kid. I love this place always consistent with the good breakfast. The pancakes are some of the best I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this place if you want a good down home cooked breakfast.

just left from up there. i was the guy who just ordered some scrambled eggs and waffles with potatoes. the lightskinned chick operated like she had an attitude. did not acknowledge if the food was ready or would be ready after i saw her charge a customer 2 times for the same meal.. i left cause i got tired of waiting for at least an update. i dont think no one even started prepping my food cause the cooks left and i was stuck with a number. but no updates. i waited there for 40 min for some eggs waffles and potatoes. i work around the corner at rent a wheel. i will be ordering over the phone cause busy or not customer service is key. if you are pissed off keep ya ass home!! dont go to work with attitudes especially when you are working around food. i was highly upset so i removed my self. any other action i may have thought about would land me in prison. stop playing with folks food. light skinned need to be more communicative.

Nothing fancy. I was curious why my pancakes had an orange tint but I was already knowing, "It is... what it is" lol With that being said they tasted pretty good. Im simple when it comes to breakfast. This place good to go IMO! Plus, Ima always fuk wit my ppl!!!

I had visited this location on New Year's Eve for breakfast after everyone was telling me to try it out cause it's a great spot. and as soon as we was seated this light skin female came over instant to greet us and gave us water which was great. At a lot of other places they will give you a few min to look over the menu but not her. After she gave us waters then asked what can I get y'all. We had stated that this is our first time here what are some good options since we didn't have time to check out the menu. She had said that the $7.99 special and our catfish was pretty good. Then she walks off and as I'm talking to her still she say I be right back to let y'all look over the menu if you asked me she really didn't wanted to asked any questions. Remind at this time it was 1058am it took us five min waiting for her to come back to us. She had past our table nine times without saying anything nothing like are y'all ready to order or I be with y'all in a few nothing at all. So we waited waited waited waited now it's 11:15 with no word from her. She saw we was done looking at the menu and she had took care of everyone else but us so we decided to leave. We had went to Inglewood to the Rusty Pot Café as soon we had walked in we was greeted. The guy had brought us water then gave us a few min to look over the menu and when I said they was packed he made sure to check on us at all time sumthin that the other place didn't not do, did I mention he was working by his self. Big shootout to Rusty Pot Café!

Good food. Great service and considerably reasonable prices. The only negative is terrible coffee (IJS). But I'll be back and only drink water.

I saw Tal's on Instagram. It looked really good so I thought I would take the trip to LA from the valley to try it out. When we got there they told us it would be 45 min to get our food after ordering. That 45 min turned into 2.5 hours for some pork chops , grits, eggs and some home fries. I thought 45 was long but 2.5 hours come in that's way too long. No one would even look at us or talk to us to see if we needed anything while we waited for our food. We finally get the food and wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't worth a 2.5 hour wait ‍ I wish I had more hands so I could give it a 4 thumbs down

The food is GOOD!! It will take a while for the food to be ready but it's worth the wait. The grits are amazing. The chicken wings and catfish are great as well. Must try

Love this spot!!! Can't wait to go again. Had the liver and onions. Asked to have it cooked medium and don't skimp on the onions. They didn't disappoint!! Had pancake instead of bread and loaded home potatoes. Yum!!!

It took a hour to get to us our sever put her hands on my bacon and stilled serve it to me. The food instantly made my stomach hurt. I asked for 2 eggs and it was only 1 and a half.

Went here a few days ago sat at the bar, but it was to much air from the fans above me, so I asked could I be seated at a booth, she said yes, then I get seated, and they had sent 4 ladies to the back as well, two of the ladies were sat at a small table, that was very uncomfortable for them, so I told the waitress, that I would move so they could be more comfortable, so she then sat me up front, it took 20 mins before she came and took my order, I was not offered any coffee, she just brought me a glass of water, then she comes back to take my order, I literally waited for 35min still no order, she was not giving good customer service at all I would not recommend this place to no one, it use to be a good breakfast place to go to, but I will never go back there again, service was trash

Food was just okay, wouldn't go back or recommend. Servers were kind but it took a long time (maybe because it was a Saturday morning).

The food here is so good it's always so fresh. The service is good they're always very attentive. The ambiance is also nice they're recently redone the outside.

My dad was craving salmon croquettes so off to Tal's we went. I'm so glad we went he enjoyed his breakfast and it was less expensive than our usual breakfast spot. The waitress was very nice. I'll be back to try the pancakes!

I've been coming to Tasls since the 70s and it's always good. Services is good. Food is good so I recommend it.

Very very slow service you will be waiting almost a hour for food! I'll never go back

Food wasn't bad and the service was ok to indifferent. I ordered the grilled corn beef and hash, with a side of wings and pancakes. The corn beef was grilled hard like i like it, but the chicken tasted like it was prepared in old fryer oil. I tried the pancakes. but they were just on to me. The flavor was ok, but they were a little dry and heavy, almost bread like. The service was ok, the lady at the cash register appeared to be somewhat indifferent.

I had the pork chops with grits and scrambled eggs with ham and cheese in them. My daughter had the chicken with the home fries and scrambled eggs. A side of pancakes and a side of salmon. Everything was really good, their coffee was amazing and it was just Folgers but I can't make Folgers taste that good at my house. The salmon was the only thing that was a little off, I kept crunching on what I thought were pieces of eggshell, I could be wrong but that was not pleasing although the salmon itself was really good. The chefs were dope, customer service was really good, we enjoyed the music playing I thought it was a great atmosphere I am a little hard of hearing so I had to ask a couple times to please repeat what was said but that's just a problem for us hard of hearing folks haha. parking could be a problem on busy days but the neighborhoods are long so for sure will find parking maybe walk a little. We definitely coming back and bringing some friends.
