Had a great meal at Tam Mai Thai! The beef was tender and flavorful, definitely a highlight of the meal. The curry had a unique depth of flavor—rich, well-spiced, and truly memorable. The Thai milk tea was the most authentic I’ve ever had! Big thanks to Chef Krit and the team for their excellent cooking and warm hospitality. Looking forward to coming back!

This is a new Thai spot that recently opened up. They actually have a grand opening game where you can pick a card for either a discount or food or drinks. I was lucky enough to draw a Jack and got the spring rolls! Four was our server who gave us great service. The cashew chicken was great! I highly recommend that dish. The Thai iced tea was served with a nice milk(?) ice flower. Worth a visit if in the area.

Update: Ordered delivery and the food quality has gone way down. The beef was tough and did not taste good. The tomatoes in the chicken cashew tastes sour and I had to spit it out. We asked for extra spicy and none of the dishes were spicy at all. I don’t think this restaurant even uses Thai chili peppers. Very disappointing that a restaurant can go downhill so fast. They are clearly prioritizing profit over quality now. Best Pad Kee Mao in NYC! Fried rice was fantastic as well. My wife and I had a great time eating here. The staff were super friendly and everything we ate was great. Looking forward to going back and trying other dishes.

Google
Absolutely delicious and very authentic Thai, in a cozy and warm space, good vibes. Service was fast and our waitress Four was courteous, friendly, and attentive to our needs and questions. Tom Kha was perfect on a cold, windy, winter day, the Satay and the sauces were good, and the Pad See Ew was some of the best I've had. (Actually overheard another customer say the same as they took seconds to go).

My friend and I came here for dinner and got the basil fried rice with shrimp, pad kee mao with beef, crab rangoon, and thai iced tea. All the dishes were great, especially our mains. The atmosphere is also very cozy. Would def recommend to anyone in the area!

Had our Christmas meal at this restaurant. We ordered papaya salad, drunken noodle with chicken and basil chick fried rice. Everything tasted so good and came out quickly even though the restaurants was completely full. It is located on the second floor.

Yelp
The most amazing Tom Kah soup in the city. Crab Rangoon is great too, as is the service.

Yelp
Four provided great service and the food was delicious! Very attentive to my wheat allergy!

Yelp
Near the MoMa, you can find this new spot with a menu where most dishes are under $20. In this economy, it's a steal. The service was excellent upon entering - shoutout to the staff member Eddy! The Thai Tea here is so pretty and only $5!The wings were grilled and juicy. The calamari was lightly fried and not chewy at all. The puffs were flaky and hot. And the rangoons were packed with a crabby creamy cheese filling! The curry was mildly spicy, and so creamy and coconuty. The fried rice had a whole crab omelette on top and fresh cucumber on the side. They also have Mango Sticky Rice here for only $10 and it was a classic way to end a Thai meal. It's small inside but very spacious at the same time. This used to be where Bengal Tiger was located!

Yelp
Cute new Thai spot that opened right near Central Park. We stopped by for lunch on the weekend and there were quite a few people there. We started off with the chicken wing appetizer, a little disappointing bc it seemed baked and just came with some Thai chili sauce on the side. Some wings also had a lot of hair on it. Fortunately the entrees made up for the wings. We had the pad kee mao and the south thai curry. The pad kee mao was very flavorful and came with a ton of basil, one of the better ones I've had in the city. The Thai curry was also flavorful. Staff were nice and attentive. They also have a grand opening special where you can pick a card and get a little discount or drink/app.

Yelp
My party of 2 visited on a Saturday around 12pm and were seated promptly. This restaurant is located on the second floor, so you need to take stairs up. It's a cozy space with a decent amount of seating. We ordered a couple and appetizers (crab rangoon & soft shell crab spring rolls) and entrees to try, as well as a Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee, and mango sticky rice for dessert. The food and drinks came out relatively quick and the presentation was nice. The shrimp pad thai had a generous amount of shrimp and the noodles were nicely cooked and seasoned. The massaman curry here was different than ones I've had in the past, being less sweet and having more of a kick. + Lunch specials starting at $15 during the week.

Yelp
Went to this recently opened place with my son for lunch and we enjoyed it very much. The service, decor, and food were perfect. We had the papaya salad with anchovy dressing and soft shell crab summer rolls (special seasonal, appetizer) to start. Then we ordered Chicken in Garlic Sauce and Pad Se Ew with Chicken lunch specials which come with choice of Tum Yum Soup or spring rolls. We went with the soup and it was delightful. The lunch special portions are a little small but good for the diet. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this gem. They even make their own green tea with toasted rice - very nice!

Yelp
I recently dined at Tam Mai Thai in Manhattan and had a great experience! I ordered the chicken drunken noodles, which were fresh and delicious. It had great flavor, a bit of a kick and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The Thai tea was very good as well. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the portion size was a bit smaller than I expected. It was so good that I was actually considering ordering another serving The restaurant itself is small but nice, had a nice little bar area and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend Tam Mai Thai for a good Thai cuisine.

Yelp
Delicious Tom Yum Soup and papaya salad (with lime dressing). Fresh, flavorful vegetables with everything. And very tasty hot teas!

Yelp
It was such a wonderful dinner, our host was so helpful. We had a lot of different allergies at our table and he was very knowledgeable and attentive to our dishes. The food was so yummy. We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Tam Mai Thai is a beautiful and cozy Thai restaurant on the SECOND floor on 56th St, taking over the old Begal Tiger location. They just opened (Dec 2024) and the renovation is gorgeous. For $17 weekday lunch special, I got the pad kee mao (drunken noodles) with chicken, which came with a tom yum soup. The portion size is good and the quality of ingredients is solid, down to the green fried basil leaves on top of my dish. Service was great, very attentive and sweet. Since they just opened, there was zero wait for a table. Welcome to the neighborhood! Wishing you much success!

Yelp
This place is really good. I stopped in for the lunch special. I had the pad kee Mao, with a spring roll and Thai tea. Everything was delicious. Additionally, the decor is so cute, and the employees are incredibly warm and friendly. Excellent food and service.
