Ask me to remove my service animal Will not attend ever again... Re: we do not allow pets, "sir my animal (dog) is accepted everywhere she's a service animal". No one asked, she was on a lead not a leash and I am glad you saw everything. Rather than apologizing for what could've been a misunderstanding, you took the low road. Very professional, very helpful. I would never recommend as a vendor or as a person looking for fresh fruit and vegetables. I would rather go to whole foods. Nice way to enter the season. For the record it's illegal for you to ask what service she performs.

First event of 2025. Very few vendors. Maybe it will get better later this summer.

We got there before 9 but there were plenty of vendors already open. The peaches and strawberries were so good. Nice place to come after you lose a few dollars at the casino. Tons of parking.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. The booth owners were all extremely rude as were many of the pretentious shoppers. They’ll just walk in front of you in line without blinking twice. It’s also SUPER tiny and not a great selection. Normally I try to give small businesses the benefit of the doubt and support them, but I can honestly say I’m happy never supporting any of these again unless they change their attitudes. Horrible experience!!

We got there late, so a lot of stuff was sold out. What was left was good, though! If you go, go early!

Yelp
6/1/2024 First day of the Farmer's Market- The first time visit was when we just moved here.. Back today, and just so convenient from our neighborhood... Not too many vendors- but enough to get some peaches and veggies.. Located in the back and no dogs allowed.. If my veggies don't grow I'll be back..

Yelp
Prices are exorbitant. $4.50 for 2 tomatoes Decent quality but way overpriced We love fresh tomatoes but not at this price point

Yelp
I went yesterday and the market was nowhere to be found. Needless to say I was more than disappointed. I've been going to this market for years. If they are closed for the season they should update their hours. I wouldn't have waisted the gas and my time. I won't be going back.

Yelp
This is actually Shirley's Farmer's Market and although small by some standards, it is great for South Reno. It's open on Saturday's between 9 am and 1 pm from early June to late September. They are located in the West Parking Lot of the Tamarack Junction Casino, a special shout out and thanks goes to the Casino for allowing this important community attribute. The growers come from around the area here in Nevada as well as California. One grower in particular has the best sweet corn on the cob I have ever tasted. This year we have purchased Tomatoes, Corn, Onions, Water Mellon, super sweet Cantaloupe, organic Strawberries and more. The market is small enough so that you can park, get in and then out quickly. The prices are fair, the produce as fresh as you can get and the people very friendly. We have been going most of this summer and we'll continue to go until the end of the season.

Yelp
A solid 4 stars. For me the location makes this so easy. And I guess since it is a bit smaller, the crowds aren't as annoying to deal with. I would like a couple more options ideally, and it seems a few vendors are still coming and going. Also a few stands still don't take take cards. Today I lost my cash on the ground today. Dwelley farms turned me away, which is fine, but when I asked another stand if they took cards, Bramble Farms, the older gentleman mentioned someone had a card reader but apparently he didn't want to use it. Anyways, its a smaller stand with huge zucchini, had lots of carrots and spring onions today as well as lettuce. He let me take what I wanted this weekend and told me to come back next weekend to pay. Talk about service! My favorite stands are Minton, First Fruit Sustainable Farm and now Bramble. Go check it out if you're on this end of town and get that fresh produce, and try some locally grown meat, such a difference than grocery stores!
