Tamarind Vietnamese Grill & Noodle House

The food here is absolutely delicious and one of my favourites in Calgary. The veggies and herbs used are fresh and make for some flavourful dishes. The tofu and mock meats are some of the best I’ve ever had. The tom yum soup is a must try. Other favourites are the five spice ramen, sizzling sticky rice, and tofu vermicelli.

BEST vegan place in town ever. I highly recommend it! Even something as simple as a bowl of brown rice is cooked to perfection. Everything is properly seasoned, healthy, and freshly prepared. Yes, it's a little slower than your regular Vietnamese restaurant, but it's worth the wait.

Tonight I was surprised for dinner only being told we were going for Vietnamese food. I can not tell you how happy I was that it turned out to be delicious and veg. They suggested a couple things and I had never tried a Vietnamese sizzling crepe before. It’s a must! Wrap the crispy deliciousness in lettuce and add veggies, dip and enjoy. I couldn’t leave without the pad Thai because rarely do I get to enjoy this dish. I was impressed with every dish we were served and shared. Sadly my face was too stuffed to try the eggplant but my family couldn’t stop eating it, at the end my boyfriend tossed in the rice and devoured the last of it! The staff is excellent, everyone decided to come the same time and they handled it well. Hope you enjoy your eats 🤤

If you are vegan, or not, you will definitely enjoy their food here. I have been here so many times and if I have pad thai cravings, this is the first spot that I think of. You will not miss the meat as they have imitation meats in every dish. For meat lovers it might be weird but trust me, if you didn't know you probably won't even know. I don't have my other photos but so far, everything I have tried is worthy of 5 stars. The only downside of this restaurant is it is very small. It can only sit maybe 10 people and if it's busy, waiting time can be a pain when you are hungry. If you plan on dining in, it's best to call them first. The guy who works there is really nice, all of them are.

Walked in not knowing it was a vegan restaurant and wow it was great. The food was delicious and better than many meat vietnamese dishes I've had elsewhere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great value for money and large portions.

Best vegan/vegetarian vermicelli I've ever had! Loved this place since being recommended there 2020 by a friend saying it was a great meal to take and eat in the park. This pic is what she sent me and I was sold because she's a certified foodie! I've not lived in Calgary since 2021 but it will be my first and last stop the next time in there. I recommend it to anyone going to Calgary and one time had someone drive it to me in Edmonton and it was still good! I usually ordered it to go but the one time I dined in it was a delight 🙌🏿 11/10 recommend! If you order delivery call them directly instead of the apps, very good service

I have had takeout food from them so many times in the last 6 years. Always delicious and so unique. I also visited the restaurant with friends and colleagues. It is very hard to hear that they had to close. I wish they will reopen at another location. Calgary desperately needs more vegan restaurants.
