DELICIOUS best Ramen and Sushi in the area. Highly recommend this place for great customer service and good tasting ramen, our families absolute favorites are the Tamashi ramen and Tiger Rolls we can never go wrong with these. The place is a bit small but the food is completely worth it will not disappoint.

This place is amazing the employee was willing to talk us through their menu and what the recommend. We live about 1.5 hours south and we will have to make special trips to come again. Great employees and atmosphere. I love the sign when you walk in “we don’t have wifi talk to each other” need those little reminders

Small and quaint place. Small menu, too, but nice selections. The Hot Pappa roll is spicey and so tasty! No regular salads, so I had the seaweed salad, and I liked it! Staff are very friendly and attentative. Had lunch at 2 pm with no waiting! I will be back.

It was subpar at best. One waitress kept interrupting our meal to attempt take plates we were not finished with and you could taste the disdain the chef or a cook had for the place in the food. Will not be returning.

This is a cozy and very cute restaurant. The service is excellent. The miso soup was bland, lukewarm, and just lacking flavor. Gyozas were fine. Brussel sprouts excellent. Sushi was ho-hum.

The ramen here was really good, the pasta for the ramen was thin yet good, not my favorite noodles but good. The broth was tasty and also the pork of the ramen was delicious. The tiger roll was delicious especially when you add eal sauce. The Takoyaki was really good, I liked how they added a lot of Bonito flakes, I would have liked bigger octopus pieces inside. Overall I would recommend this place for sushi or Ramen, really tasty dishes in here.

Very quick and fast. The food is fresh and soooo effing affordable lol ! Overall every time I go there I always enjoy my meal and being served.

Still my favorite ramen place of all time! It was my first time at this location and it's quite small. Luckily it wasn't very busy and we got sat immediately. I ordered the Raku Roll which consisted of my favorite fish: Yellowtail & escolar. Lemme just say I was impressed when they brought out my roll in less than 5 minutes. So fast and absolutely delish! I also ordered the Ika Geso, which is the fried squid tentacles. The Ika Geso was little oily & I wish they would provide a knife or scissors to cut the squid since the pieces were large. Our servers were also quick and polite. Overall good experience!

Tamashi menn $12.75 - (shrimp ramen) comes with half an egg (perfectly cooked), 2 pork slices (pretty big), and 5 shrimps (also pretty big). Seems pricey, especially since it was $10 three years ago, however it was a BIG portion. And still cheaper than other places. I even shared a lot of noodles and shrimp with the bf. got it with thick noodles. Very good broth and a nice alternative to the regular pork broth. Spicy Tonkatsu $11.50 - bf got mild. It was a good spice level, wouldnt go any higher. It was a bit too salty for me, but good. I tried my bfs, but I don't think I'd want an entire bowl of it. It was definitely tasty but just a bit salty, especially compared to the tamashi menn. Large portion also. Comes with half an egg. brussels sprouts appetizer $6.25 - pricey for veggies, but they're so good! The broth or sauce is so delicious! Eat it fast so they don't get soggy. Came here Friday around 330pm, and there was only 1 other table there. When we were about to leave, the after-school crowd started coming in.

I really want to like this place but when I ate here I saw a bug on the ground where I was eating (and it totally made me nauseous). I'm not an insect expert so I can't really say what it was or presume anything. I found their sushi pretty fishy. Prices are good. I won't be back personally. I'd rather just buy sushi at Krogers next door.

Happy (pre) Thanksgiving! Tamashi was so generous to offer everyone free ramen or sushi entrees. The wait was 30+ min but the waitress was incredibly kind and went out often to check on the lines and get people in. Service - 5/5. Waitresses very attentive to needs of customers and would check to see if everything was ok and came with water refills. Food - 5/5. I had the spicy miso ramen and the bowl was HUGE. Spicy indeed and filling with lots of mushrooms, corn, chasu pork, egg and fish cakes. More than enough broth to keep me satisfied and very flavorful! I have my eye out for the special curry ramen and look forward to returning. While it is a small restaurant, flavor profile is huge and does not disappoint.

Came here in a Sunday dinner with a friend. I went to the location near the medical center a few years ago and enjoyed it so when we saw this one in the heights I said let's go! I'll say off the rip our server was not the "friendliest". She seemed to not be in the best mood and it reflected in her service. She seemed to an attitude when we asked for things and wasn't the most helpful when looking over the menu so that sucked. The food, however was delicious and would highly recommend for lunch or a light dinner.

We've been coming here for a few years now and it's one of the few places in the Heights/Goof area that has remained consistently good. We usually get their ramen and sushi but love their new Indonesian menu too. Servers have always been efficient and polite. Glad we have this location close by.

Came here for their thanksgiving eve special and it didn't disappoint. This shop is about standard size compared to the others and the flavors are on par to Holcombe location. I got the tamashi menn as always and the soup was very flavorful and the chashu was tender. Also got to try their sushi - it was okay, nothing to write home about. Their ramen is definitely stronger and more unique. I'll definitely return if craving ramen in this area!

Delicious! I am picky about my ramen and I can honestly say the broth and the noodles were great. I had the Tamashi's Menn ramen which was shrimp broth based, and included a shrimp skewer, pork, green onion, and a soft boiled egg. I asked for extra spice which they gave it to me on the side. The only downside was the portion was not that big. I was able to finish my entire bowl, broth and all,which is usually not the case at other establishments. I will definitely come back to try the other flavors of ramen and sushi. I did take a peak at the fish and it appeared to be fresh. One thing to note is the establishment is small in the inside so I would call ahead if you have more than 6 in your group bc I saw a group of people while I was there and there wasn't much room for more patrons in addition to 3 other groups of 2.

This is may favorite sushi place. quick service, sushi is always fresh and great value. I always get the charishi bowl best one I Can find in town.

It is killing me that I visited this place years ago, but I do not remember when or with who. Anyway, I went with the intention of trying a new ramen place, and this one had the highest ratings in the area. The place sure is a little small inside, but it wasn't full, so it was fine. The service was decent too, and we got served pretty quickly. I think they were playing some pop in the background for ambiance. As for the food, I got a spicy miso ramen bowl, gyoza, and my cousin got a sushi roll. I picked mild for my spice level, but I think I would have been fine at the higher one. I think the place was a safe choice; the food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was okay, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I would go again for sure if I am in the area and in the mood for a promised comfortable and fresh meal.

Love Tamashi! Great flavor and they are fast. This is my go to place when I have no idea what I want. The seasoned eggs and miso ramen is my favorite. Everyone is friendly.

Sometimes mashed potatoes are not mashed enough. Sometimes, on the other hand, they're Too-mashy. Which is how this Ramen place got its name. Probably the best ramen in the city, or definitely up there. We love the one in Rice Village and the location on Silber next to Walmart was even more wonderful and delicious across the board for everything we ordered. So this is yet another location of the massively expanding Ramen staple, which is now all over the place, and I prefer the location next to the Marq-E, which is the one that started it all for me, but the Chinatown and West University spots, and this location too, are all very good as well, with great food and decent prices and hot people coming here too - a lot. It's probably my least favourite of the four locations I've tried, partly because of the cramped space (but not so much that) and partly because of the sometimes-long wait time especially during Corona (but not so much that), but mainly because this neighbourhood is never very nice to me. But don't get me wrong - the ramen is wonderful and the sushi is good too. We're glad they're in NW Houston because it adds an great extra option. The Silber location is always frequented by hotties, this one too sometimes, West U also, Chinatown one not so much yet but hopefully that will change.

The ramen here is great. You can choose between thin or thicker noodles. The takoyaki is a great appetizer as well. Service was quick and friendly. Plenty of parking. This location is smaller than some of the others.

Why a four star? First of all, the Heights location is fairly small, so if you go during busy hours expect to have a possible short wait. The few times I've been here, wait hasn't been bad at all and no complaints about service. The ramen broth is definitely tasty and spicy to my liking. I do enjoy their ramen flavor and quality. The only issue really is the portion of the ramen and the ingredients in the sushi rolls I ordered. The ramen portions seemed to be a bit less than many other ramen joints. Also, I was pretty disappointed in the spider roll when they hardly put any soft shell crab (the main ingredient of the roll) and I was expecting the crunch roll to have some tempura crumbs. This was a 2 roll combo deal with small seaweed salad on the side for 12.99, guess you get what you pay for. So, don't expect amazing sushi here, maybe if you order one of their specialty rolls, which I have not tried.

Ordered a spicy tuna roll and a shaggy dog roll through door dash, and both were delicious! I definitely plan on dining in the restaurant soon.

The Ramen game here is kinda weak. My Ramen was very watery and the egg was overcooked. The tonkotsu Ramen was also slightly too salty and not very rich either. Tamashi is generally a pretty solid pick but this location seems to be off

Hidden gem without a doubt. Got the Shaggy Roll and absolutely loved it. Small interior and cozy vibe - located in your average neighborhood shopping center. Can't comment on the ramen since I didn't try it - but absolutely come here for the sushi! Grocery store prices with great quality!!

Location is so close to home with highly rated reviews. Decided to try this place out for dinner. We were greeted and sat as we enter the restaurant. Wide selection of ramen and sushi. Customer service was great! Our waitress was very attentive. Let's get straight to the food. Definitely not my cup of tea, the ramen was salty for something similar to miso broth. I ordered sushi (eel roll and spyder roll) I have to say the rice was mushy so I can't even taste the flavor. I didn't finish my meal.

ave been driving past here forever and decided to try it. The vegan options are the salad. My flexterian friend had the ramen . She loved it, but paid for it later. She specifically asked that it not be pork broth. My seaweed salad was not memorable one way or the other.

Food is amazing!! I love coming here with my boyfriend. The menu is simple which is why I love it, not so over whelming and easy to choose what you want. I will say the service is okay , they just ask what you want put the order in but not really friendly ( staff wise ) it's kind of an in & out thing. Come in order your food then leave , don't expect amazing service but the food is great !

Food is great! Fresh and tasty I would recommend the Tamashi Ramen or the sushi. Get there early sometimes there's a line.

I've known about Tamashi for awhile and finally decided to try it. I regret not doing so sooner! It's not far from home and the food and service were great. I definitely want to go back and try the ramen or even a rice bowl like the chashu don, which sounded pretty good. We just had sushi and some appetizers. The gyoza were great. I didn't get a picture because we ate them too fast. The shrimp shumai weren't as good, but I still enjoyed them. They were a little greasy and didn't have as much flavor. For sushi, we got the crunchy, shaggy dog, Houston, rock and roll, and Philadelphia rolls. It was all really fresh and tasty. My other go-to sushi spot closed mid pandemic last year. I'm happy to have found a new spot.

I come to this restaurant at least once a week. I LOVE their spicy tonkotsu and my favorite rolls are between the spicy tuna and spicy yellow tail. If youre looking for a ramen spot that has more of a flavorful broth and chewy noodles, definitely come here. I recommend everyone I know to come to this spot. Im literally addicted!

One of our main stays in OF, tsukemen, menn are my favorite ramens but all bowls are great. The charashi bowl is a phenomenal value and the rolls are great as well. The chashudon 2.0 is a must get. Its affordable, fast and the service is great.

I've been hearing about this place for a while, so I finally decided to try it out yesterday. I had the Tamashi's Menn ramen-shrimp based broth, and it was really good! I hear the sushi is good as well, so I'll probably come back to try that next

Great sushi at a great price. I enjoy how simple it is to grab a bite at tamashi. One thing I would change is the presentation of the restaurant. Although the food is delicious sometimes while walking to the bathroom I can see how busy the kitchen is and how the dishes can pile up which makes me think cleanliness is not a priority. Overall a nice little place to visit.

This spot is a hidden gem! Small cozy interior and great prices make this a great place for date night, or just a fun night out. They have the BEST Brussels sprouts I've ever tasted. Because of the variety and pricing it's always fun to try a couple new things every time I stop by. The ramen is pretty awesome as well. This fun little spot is always in my rotation. I would recommend these good eats anytime!

I was looking forward to eating ramen here because of my Hawaiian Roots ( lots of yummy Ramen) but I was disappointed. The Chicken Karaage was served with a sauce that is usually served with Vietnamese Spring Rolls!! However, the fried chicken was good. But, the sauce did not go well with the Karaage at all! The Rockets Sushi Roll was good. I also ordered the traditional favorite of Tonkatsu with Spice. The broth is way too thin and not full flavored. I ordered spicy and there was NO spice at all! I asked the server for additional spice and she brought a small dish that was still not enough heat! The Curry Tsukemen was a flavorful blend of spices and was filling. I didn't really like the fried Kani on it. By the way, the pictures on the menu do not look like the dishes you receive!

My friend and I were craving sushi and wanted to try something new, so we decided to try out this spot! Going along with the theme of spontaneity, we decided to try a chef's special combo with 6 sushi, 6 sashimi and a salmon roll and share this so that we could try a variety of fish. This was a great decision because this plate was absolutely delicious! Everything tasted incredibly fresh and it was a very cost effective option. If you're not super hungry, this is also a great option to share! We thoroughly enjoyed and I was highly recommend this spot!

First time at this location on 43rd Street. The restaurant itself is quite small but it keeps busy. This place was packed for 6pm already. We had a variety of sushi rolls that were delicious. All were on the smaller side due to less ingredients used than most places. The Sky Diver Roll - soft shell crab, fresh water eel, avocado, eel sauce, mayo didn't include a full size soft shell crab to match the price paid in my opinion. We also had two types of ramen the Tamashi's Menn - shrimp based broth served w/ a shrimp skewer & bean sprout, chashu, soft boiled-egg, fried onion and scallion and then the Tonkotsu - thick, creamy pork bone based broth w/ chashu, black fungus, bamboo shoots, green onion, fish cake and soft-boiled egg. Both delicious. Though I prefer the thick noodle option you can get at other places and the portion seemed a little small. Quiet and quaint. Will definitely be back.

THE BOMB! Love this place. I'm a sushi guy and not a fan of Ramen....till now. The spicy Miso is so worth the trip. Although "Ramen" comes before "Sushi" in the title I would say that the sushi ranks among some of the best in Houston. Really fantastic spot

Consistently good! I always get the shrimp ramen (sub the pork for extra egg) and it's my favorite ramen broth I've ever had. Even my friends who normally get pork based broth say it's good. The rolls I've tried have been good too - really like the new moon!

The sushi was ok. The ramen was delish. I had the curry Ramen, it was rich and creamy. The noodles were nice and chewy.

Delicious! Love it. Have come here I think 3 times to dine in and once to go so far. Wish there were more little restaurants like this in the area. Their Brussels sprouts are really good but I do wish they'd expand the appetizer menu a little bit and maybe expand to the shop next door to add more seating so the wait time is more bearable. But I'm not complaining, that's a good problem to have that it's so popular!

This is a great spot we discovered at the beginning of the pandemic. We gave it a go for delivery and no regrets. They offer sushi, Brussel sprouts and other sides. The food arrives pretty quickly and always hot. For delivery ramen- you can't go wrong.

Tamashi has quickly become of my favorite mini chains of Ramen. They keep their menu fairly small but the dishes that they roll out are good. My favorite appetizers are the brussel sprouts and the Ika Geso. As far as entrees, I usually get the curry dipping ramen or the Tonkotsu Hot. Both come packed with toppings and a flavorful broth. This restaurant is small so if you come during peak hours you might have to wait.

This is the third Tamashi in Houston.The layout and decor are similar to the first one( Spring Branch) and the second one(Medical Center).However, I loved the Geisha-mural. I ordered shrimp ramen.The broth was well-done and very tasty.The shrimps were so good.I got chashu-pork.Overall, one of the best ramen noodle restaurants.There are many great restaurant near 610 and Ella Blvd.But Tamashi is great.
