This is good hood food at its best. Hood food I said. Little greasy, just a little bit, but that was the flavor. I asked for my onions rings to cook extra. He said crispy. Yes sir. Those onion rings where fire. I was on my way to Compton Christmas parade and lady said, mmmm you got some onion rings. Yes I do. Do you want some. She said yes. Tam's Burger #23 in Compton is good food..

Great customer service, great food.

Their prices have gone thru the roof and the portions are smaller. $20 for 1 order of pastrami chili cheese fries is ridiculous. $17 for a burger...nope their food isn't that good, andcthe quality of their meat has gone down. Much more fat on their meat now. Yuck...who wants to eat fat?

Reasonable prices. Kids love the amount of fries you get with your order!

OMG, The fries were so good. I missed SoCal fries and Tam's delivered. Almost worth the 41/2 hr. drive

This Tams burger place is the best I have tasted, almost every weekend I'm at this place and will continue to come.

This place has been the go too since I can remember. My parents went here so I can say about 30 years they've been creating worth eating food. Service has never disappointed. Drive through is not as bad even in busy times.

I love this Tams. I always get the ham and eggs breakfast with bacon and sausage. The food is delicious here. We came to have breakfast with the family for my Son's birthday. The Staff surprised us with a special Birthday pancake plate. We are very grateful for the staff's act of kindness and for making us feel special (specially our son). They have recently renovated the dinning area. It's looking great.

i went to tams burgers no 23 today at 3:30 pm or so found a pubichair in my childs plain cheeseburger not many words except disgusted!

if you love chili cheese fries!! go here!! ITS SO GOOD! customer service is GREAT and the food is delicious

Food here is disgusting now since they changed managers we order the chicken dinner the chicken was old and hard the pepper we also old so disappointed I'll never get anything from here including the bad food the service sucks too

Service sucks, I order my food thru Uber eat . People don't order from Tam's Burgers. Customer service sucks and they don't care to check the order. We order 2 burritos and we placed notes to add extra salsa on the side and they forgot. They also didn't put honey for the pancakes. When we call to complain they didn't care. Doesn't make sense to order and pay for the extra things and got getting the stuff. Super bad service. :(

Was in Compton for work and decided to stop in with my coworker. I got the cheeseburger combo. It was decent, tasted just like any of the mom and pop burger stands. Good charbroiled flavor on the very thin burger patty, could have put a little less lettuce in the burger. Their fries were actually pretty good and they give you quite a bit. I like these type of thick cut fries and they add a bit of seasoning on them. Decent place, lots of stuff on the menu to try.

I love to eat here, i always come here when i have nothing in mind to eat at home. The food here is always hot & ready to grub! I love the chicken salad here , also the chili cheese fries so good ! Never disappointed . Tasty flavors, definitely recommend to anyone who's just wanna get some food real quick. Nice costumer service. Never have to wait too long when i order inside. I used to order drive through but that takes a while but other than that. Everything here is good . Im a loyal costumer, so definitely gonna keep coming back here !

They decreased the size of items for the same price. I ordered a regular chili cheese fries and got a container that was less than half the size of the previous times I have ordered them. Previous regular sizes were worth the money, at the size they are now might as well just get a side of fries. I wish I would've known beforehand of the changes. I'm mostly annoyed of how much I paid for what I received.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! There was a small mouse running around the dirty table areas. Just go to a better rated and cleaner Tam's.

I ordered a tuna melt and fries. The fries were seasoned to perfection. The tuna melt was the best I've had in awhile. Great little gem.

3/8/23 Been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. The food is always great, but the only thing that's not so great is maintenance. The booths are falling apart everything is very outdated & needs to be remodeled. On top of that, I've seen three rats while eating inside the restaurant. Delicious food overall but I feel like this restaurant needs to be on top of their maintenance!

It's a hit or miss. I asked for medium on my steak n got this. Literally ignored wtf I wanted n did whatever.

I used to come to this place as a kid and now I'm seeing more trash on the floor and the booths are falling apart, I read somewhere that if you go somewhere to eat and their restroom is horrible don't eat there . The restroom looks unsanitary, this place is not what it used to be . Id take pictures but I'll give this place a chance to see if they care about its business quality .

We are from out of town and wanted somewhere to have breakfast and saw this place. This place is amazing! Had their pan cakes breakfast and the pastrami omelette and we loved it.

I ordered a bacon Breakfast burrito and fries. The burrito was big I ate half and was full. It said it had salsa inside but I didn't really taste or see it which was a bummer but the taste of everything else made up for it. The fries were well seasoned. They have a drive through and didn't take long since only one car was in front of us. I will definitely go back especially to try the chili cheese fries. Not really that clean looking but a lot of these types of joints are like that, you're mainly there for the food and not the looks.

My first impression of the place honestly was to turnaround and go else where but because of time constraints we had no choice at this point. It was the facility appearance that made us think about leaving. The floor really dirty and the seats were falling apart. Surprisingly the food was good and came in good portions. We ordered the French toast plate and the pancake plate. Hate to give it only three stars but the presentation of the restaurant needs some serious help.

Terrible service, Couldn't even get the order right from the start. Definitely my last time coming here!!!

I'm supprise this place is still open it's so fucking horrible. I've been in compton for years when I first moved here it was good food now it's straight garbage.

I ordered a pastrami combo well done because I like it a bit crunchy and I've got to say this pastrami was really good, it has a lot of pastrami I had to take some out. The fries were really good too. The place looks like it needs remodeling but their food is good !

The Service at this location is so slow. I spent my whole break waiting for my food, I couldn't even eat.

If I can give 0. Stars I definitely would BUT unfortunately I have to do atleast one. They're customer service is TERRIBLE. I didn't want to yelp the first 2 times I had bad experiences but the third one did it. I pulled up to the drive thru and they said give me a second. 20 mins later all cars ahead of me left and I'm still there. When I get to the window, not once do they apologize and act like they didn't even know I was there. Mind u, I never got helped I had to drive up to the window. DONT GO TO THIS TAMS. Try a different one with better personnel. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Good food is fire. Bring a fire extinguishers ok . I love they're fries. Every thing in the menu.

This place is the best. Every time I go in here, they serve me a massive amount of food for hella cheap! I've never had any problems other than one time I ordered stuffed jalapeños and they accidentally put an extra one in my order always respectful. So reading these other comments makes me wonder how rude were y'all towards the folks that work here. You get what you give. Stop being dicks.

Thoroughly unimpressed. I ordered a cheeseburger combo. The best thing I had was the drink (coke). The burger was plain, lacked flavor (just noticed they don't put onions), whereas other Tams restaurants do. The fries tasted semi-raw, which I detest. Compared to other Tams restaurants I've been to this one is the bottom of the totem pole.

The food was mediocre at best. Service was okay. The staff seemed to be bothered . The cleanliness of the location was horrible .Homeless people hanging around and the restroom was filthy and covered from floor to ceiling with graffiti ....AND the sink was broken. I've been to other locations and they were head and shoulders better than this one...granted it's in a horrible neighborhood...but why perpetuate the stereotype by letting a normally great restaurant into a rundown establishment.

This restuarant is alwasy there when your hungry and will get you satisfied I suggest the chili cheese fries which is hands down the best thing there it is packed with a lot of chilli and cheese.The burgers can be improved the patty is a tad bit dry and the lettuce is sometimes too hard I know lettuce is supposed to be hard but not like im chewing beef jerky.The chicken platter is amazing and I will guarantee you that it will get you full it comes with delicouse grilled chicken ontop of a salad and it also comes with a peice of bread, which is delicouse on it own overall this restuarant is amazing I recommend it to any one and its been one of my favorite child hood spots I will always come to.

Tams burgers are consistent. As a chain that makes a lot of orders the food is greasy and good. I come for lunch so it is busy but always friendly and I get good service. Opens early for breakfast and it generally is busy whenever I pass by.

Oh man, Tam's is one of my all-time favorite burger spots! We will spontaneously leave OC just to go here on the weekend sometimes. Although we have been to a few other Tam's locations I choose to endorse this Compton one. Why? They have never been crowded during the times we visit (weekend mornings and afternoons). Maybe because it's nestled in a somewhat industrialized area, not sure. The staff is truly accommodating and never stingy with providing extra ranch or napkins (which are always pluses in my book). What do we typically order here? A large or small chili cheese fries with pastrami. It has never disappointed. Huge portions, small or large and just oozing with melted cheddar cheese, hot chili and thick enough slices of pastrami. The hubby and I usually share. Think we've also had their omelettes (which were okay) and steak and pastrami sandwiches are good. The Norwalk Tam's is geographically the closest to us, unfortunately, they seem relentlessly packed whenever we go there. And finding parking can take awhile. This Compton Tam's Burgers has a ton of parking:) Wish we had a Tam's Burgers in Orange County, I love this place!

This place doesn't even deserve stars to begin with. It's was only 3 cars ahead of me but the lady ignore me and had me waiting at the speaker box for more than 15mins. I got fed up and drove up to the window because there was another car behind me...so I get there and I hear her taking orders from the car behind me. I yelled at her to get her attention and asked her why has she been ignoring for the last 15mins or if she was so busy why couldn't she just say that. Unapologetically while crossing her arms she says cause she was busy. Then demanding whether I'm going to order or not, adding insult to injury. Honestly, I told the lady to fuck off and drove off to Louis's which I got better treatment. I don't see how this lady even has a job with lousy people skills. No empathy whatsoever. After what happened tonight and reading some of the reviews, will never be coming to this location.

I ordered a pastrami sandwich yesterday . That was the worst pastrami sandwich I ever tasted . First of all it smelled bad. And when I took a bite it did not taste good. I couldn't even eat it I just threw it away I couldn't take it back because I just bought it on my way to work.

Yooooooooo, the staff was nice and accommodating BUT! CAN.YOU.SAY DIARRHEA????? Still on the John experiencing great pain and suffering in the name of a mediocre pastrami sammich. Clawddd I've been calling of Jesus for salvation. Don't Do It! Make some toast out of that last lil hotdog bun you got, drink some water and go to sleep. You'll thank me.

The chili cheese fries were not good at all, they did not have any favor, it looks like it will be good but it wasnt. If you want to try bomb chill cheese fries go to the one in Paramount The coustomer service was good just the chill cheese fries weren't good.

Plenty of parking for commercial vehicles. The colossal burger is on hit. It's clean, friendly customer service

Food is good for the price you get a good portion they need to spend a little money on updating the indoor dining upkeep the seats are torned up and feel like your're siting on a rock the floor and decor is hideous make it more inviting Its located in the heart of the hood but things can and should look nice too in the hood especially since it family friendly.The drive thru wait is normal since your food is cooked to order but it sometimes gets crazy overall this place is a consistent spot to eat. The staff is hit or miss some says they are very friendly and some they look like they are bothered by working

The foods OK for the price! All the ladys that work in the drive thru and the front window usually always have an attitude and act like your making them pay for your food. Been coming here for years it's gotten cleaner but service is still shitty.

Great, friendly service and delicious food. Big portions too. Awesome atmosphere that provides lots of seating. If you're ever in Compton, I recommend this place.

I will never come to this Tam's again for anything other than breakfast. I grew up on the West Side of Compton and would often frequent the Tam's on Rosecrans and Central Ave. Now living in a different area I stumbled across this Tam and was full of excitement. I just spent $20 on 2 of the most disgusting burger combos. They put the butt of the tomato on both mine and my sons burger, packed it with hard lettuce, the patty was as thin as paper, and the bacon on my burger was so hard it seemed to be left over from this mornings breakfast. Next time I'll stick to the one I know.

Great Tams in Compton, second to the one in Paramount. the drive-thru customers are served in a timely manner. this is for anyone who wants to eat a big burger and not some weak kiddy food you get at McDonalds.

Read some good reviews so decided to give this location a try. Burgers are alright. Chili cheese fries were a little too salty and the after taste in your mouth was sour. The dressing there sucks. Had better food at other Tam's locations.

Walked here while doing Jury Duty in the City of Compton. I had been stuck in the jury room all morning and figured it was Tam's, you can't go wrong. Burger tasted like cardboard and was about as thick. No flavor, half a head of lettuce and just blah! Fries were good, but still blah. Thankful I only spent $6.

First time trying Tams and I'm definitely a fan! I ordered a pastrami burger and had some of my friends chili cheese fries both tasted freshly prepared. The location itself was well maintained and clean, the photos on the outside of the menu are what caught my attention in the first place and got me to come in, I hate going to places where there are no pics on the menu then when I get my food it looks totally different than i envisioned! I guess what I'm trying to get at is give this place a try since I'm vouching for it

Cheese burger combination was good but about $9 and some change it seems a little pricey.. I also had a $9 chicken salad that was horrible seemed like left over greasy chicken scraps so I guess you dont go to a Burger joint for chicken so over all if I am hungry and do not feel like driving I will have a burger combination from time to time

I came here on a lazy Saturday morning. The eggs taste like someone's armpits and the bacons tastes like it's been dropped on the floor. Very disgusting. The health department needs to be called in.

I love the Tams Super Burgers franchise. Ive been to most of the numerous locations throughout Los Angeles county. Ive been going to them since I was a kid in the 80's, and I love them. But the fact of the matter is, this location does not compare to the rest, and does not live up to the Tams name.... The prices are much higher than other nearby locations. The drive-thru is slow. The service really sucks. There is one guy there in the mornings who wares glasses, hes actually a really cool dude, and he tries hard, his service is great. I think hes the owners son. All the rest of the employees though, are rude/brief/jerks. The building looks very old/beat up, and is in dire need of remodeling. The food quality is worse, and the portions are much smaller, compared to other locations. At other tams locations, I cant even finish half of a pastrami or club sandwich combo. At this location though, I can eat the whole thing, its that much smaller. Seriously. At all tams locations, the food is hooked up fat! You can make two meals out of one. Not at this one though, every thing is way smaller. Everything. And yet, still more expensive than other locations!?!? WTF??? I use to live literally 2 blocks from this location, but I stopped going here, and would actually go out of my way to the Lynwood or Paramount location. I think that speaks volumes. This location needs to step its game up, or be stricken of the sacred Tams namesake! On a positive note, there is plenty of parking...

Really good breakfast. Fast and friendly service. What more can I ask for? Nice job Tams :)
